  • Evaluating the unbiblical traditions of Catholicism. Having rejected the gospel of grace they have added a bunch of works and a bunch of mediators between you and God.
We will deal with several specific teachings that have developed over time in Catholicism. Teachings about Mary, indulgences, the seven sacraments, the Eucharist and more.

Sounds like a good punchline, but take a look at the guy in Luke 12: 13-14, who prayed directly to Jesus and was rebuked. The powerful prayers are those from a humble heart........see Luke 18: 9-14.

@@miketeixeira7853 perhaps I'm mistaken, but nowhere in that passage does it say this man prayed to Jesus.
      Luke 12:13-14 (King James Version):
"13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?"
Here, the man is at best asking Jesus to serve as a judge or divider/arbiter, as Jesus Himself replied. There is nothing about prayer here, less so anything divine. Jesus was approached like a tribe elder or as unto Moses to settle a dispute:
      Exodus 18:25-26:
"25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.
26 And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves."
As for the Luke 18 passage... amen.

Raised Catholic. Our church had a priest that was youthful, well-spoken, and very popular. He would ask a question during his (sermon?), and if someone knew the answer, he would say, "Very good! 500 years off purgatory!" Everyone would laugh, but i went home and cried in fear of how long purgatory would be. I later became athiest. I am born again, and it is my personal mission to share the good news of the true gospel to both my sisters, my mother, and my mother-in-law so that they may have the true faith that leads us to being together in eternity with my wife and son. That is why salvation is through the Catholic faith. Why would I listen to heretics like Graham or Osteen leading souls away from Heaven when I have something so much greater than them. Are they all you have? This greater thing is a path to heaven through His Church that Jesus founded. Absolute historical proof He did found the Church and appointed Peter as first pope. BTW the position as pope is referred to as Holy Father not the specific person. We have had a few very unholy popes over 2000 years. The title comes with the job. Have you been born again through water and spirit as the bible says? You can't enter heaven if not. Just read John 3. We are all sinners yes but Catholics have the sacrament of Confession instituted by Christ on the evening of Easter. And yes we must follow the Church 100%. Of course we all fail and sin sometimes but that is why Jesus instituted the sacrament of confession. Believe me when I say when you leave the confessional and say your penance it fells like a load has been lifted from you. A feeling you probably will never experience. Yes the gates are narrow and few outside the Church will probably see heaven. That's up to God to determine though. The word Catholic means universal. The early use of the word does not refer to what we know today as the Roman Catholic Church. The universality of Christianity was especially emphasized first by Jesus and later by both Paul and Peter. The Roman Empire legally recognized Pauline Christianity as a valid religion in 313 AD. Later in that century, in 380 AD, Roman Catholicism became the official religion of the Roman Empire. For many years, Catholics were the only people officially recognized as Christians, yet all along there were independent Christian movements. Two movements that became significant were Eastern Orthodoxy and the Protestant reform movement.

    • @userca_
      @userca_ หลายเดือนก่อน +7

Actually, the first known usage of the word to describe Christianity is this, from St. Ignatius of Antioch in AD108 : "Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."
      Later on he writes:
"In like manner, let us reverence the deacons as Jesus Christ, and the bishop as the Father, and the presbyters as the Sanhedrin of God and college of the apostles. Without these, there is no Church."
      2 things to notice:
      1. The way you can find the Catholic Church is by looking for the bishop (i.e. it is a visible organization, not just a "spiritual union")
      2. This Catholic Church also has priests (and therefore has sacrifice).
      3. Jesus Christ is found only in the Catholic Church and therefore is found only where the bishop is.
      4. If you remove this leadership structure (bishop, priest, deacon), you are getting rid of the Catholic Church itself.
The literal translation does mean universal, but from Day 1 it has been applied to a specific church with specific leadership. Does it sound like Ignatius is describing your church? If not, might be an issue. . .

*1 Peter 2:5* Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
      -------------
      • The doctrine of original sin is not biblical or found in the scriptures at all.
*Ezekiel 18:20* The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

We need no Eucharist, no veneration of Mary, no long list of good works, no baptism regeneration, no sacrament of reconciliation, no rosary, no pope, no papacy, no belief in Peter as the Rock *1 Corinthians 3:11,* no man-made doctrine, no priests, no infallible magisterium, no Vatican, no communion of saints, no catechisms, no Marian dogmas, no transubstantiation, but only by faith through grace are we saved.

      1) Romans 6 says, “Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” This idea that we are made one with Christ through baptism is reiterated by Paul in Colossians 2:12, and in Galatians 3:27 he likens baptism to “being clothed with Christ.”
Baptism is the beginning of an intimate relationship with God, but of course God can save us through Baptism of desire (thief on the cross) or Baptism through martyrdom.
      2) of course we are saved by the Church. Jesus is the Church. There is no salvation outside of Jesus.

You are correct in saying that Mr. Winger is reading out of the bible --- however, the passages in the bible can be interpreted in many different ways... To give an analogy --- it is like deciphering the constitution of a country... There could be many citations within a countries constitution --- and in turn --- there can be many interpretations on the same exact citations... This fact is exactly the reason that countries establish bodies (Senate, Congress, Parliament, Judicial system --- etc...) in order to make clear the meaning (interpretations) that was intended in the writing of the documents for the rights and laws pertaining to the citizens of a particular country... If we humans have such a system in place --- does it not seem logical that an all knowing God would have done something similar?
Do you believe that Jesus would have set up a "governing body" for the church He established or is His church a free for all in subjective interpretations of what Jesus came to reveal ???

Well you do realize that if he's using a Protestant Bible, that it was written hundreds of years later after the Catholic Church had already been holding the Word. Instead of criticizing the Catholic Church don't forget that without the Catholic Church, there would be no Protestant one. It's called "Protestant" because they were protesting against something that existed first. Disagree with the Catholic Church if you want, but don't forget to say "Thank you" to the Roman Catholic church .

The reason there is a "protestant" Bible is because the Catholic Church withheld the Scriptures from the common people for hundreds of years instead of making the word known. YOU = Hebrews 7:25: therefore He is able to save completely (or forever), those who come to God through Him (not a priest), because He ALWAYS lives to intercede for them.
ME = However, we have still retained our Fallen Natures. And that is why Jesus - God and Judge - has given us the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion to tide us over when we sin. We can thus only ignore these at our peril. And it is vital to Love God and Neighbour as Commanded - not suggested - by Jesus
      CONFESSION
      =================
Because we are responsible for all sins after Baptism, Jesus on the very day of His Resurrection from the dead, breathed His Spirit and - empowered - all the Apostles to forgive - or retain - Sins - John 20:22-23. This breathing was the same as the Breath that gave the life-force to the earth-created Adam - Genesis 2:7. Therefore Catholics confess to their Priests, as Apostles don't live forever. Confession thus restores the Life-Force to souls deadened by sin, especially Deadly ( Mortal ) sins - James 5:16-17. Protestants don't confess and thereby retain their sins.
      HOLY COMMUNION
      ===================
And because we still retain our Fallen Natures, Jesus has given us His Flesh to eat and Blood to drink as - Real Food and Drink - for Eternal Life - John 6:53-58. After all, we become what we eat and drink. And God wants us to be Spiritual People. Therefore, Paul cautions that we should partake of Holy Communion - worthily - 1 Corinthians 11:27.
      MASS
      =======
Acts 2:42 states that the 1st Christian community - devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles, to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers. Our Catholic Mass has originated from this, with readings from the Bible in place of the - long dead - Apostles' teachings
      LOVE OF GOD & NEIGHBOUR
      ==============================
Because we don't love perfectly, Jesus urged us to - Strive - and make every effort to enter through the narrow gate - Luke 13:23-24. And He clarified in Matthew 7:13-14 that Few make it to Heaven whereas Many go to Hell. So if 5 to 10 are the Few of every 100 that make it to Heaven, whereas there are 20, 30 or 40 - the Many who go to Hell - where are the remaining? Obviously, in Purgatory.
Question = Can you give even 1 example of a person who was saved by Jesus' intercession ?
      2 Practical examples to examine
FIRST = Let us examine the - Other - thief on the cross who was not promised paradise. Of all the people in the Bible, this unfortunate person was the most "lost." He was on his death-bed and was even then mocking the author of Life and only Saviour, Jesus who had previously declared =Luke 19:10 : “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost." So here was the most-desperate and prime candidate who required - Grace - the unmerited favour for salvation. Did Jesus save him and promise paradise????
(( NOTE = Catholics have a saying whereby we believe that God created us without our cooperation/aid, but will
= not = save us without our cooperation and aid = that is without confession and Holy Communion.))
Scenario = A ( Christian ) person rages over ( pagan ) driver damaging his brand new car that he charges into him with all his might that the helpless person falls down badly, severely damaging his back and rendering him an invalid and bed-ridden for the rest of his life.
Question - For whom is Jesus interceding with the Father for = the Christian - or - the pagan ??2nd Question - Does Jesus intercede for sinners/perpetrators/ Nine-Eleven Terrorists - or - their victims ??
SECOND = During World War 2, a Holocaust survivor, heard a young Jewish Rabbi who was being led to death loudly declare = There is no God.
Both Hitler and Stalin were baptized. Yet they were two of the greatest mass-murderers of all time, not even sparing Rabbis
Question - Do you believe that one day both Hitler and Stalin will be enjoying Heavenly bliss if Jesus has made propitiation for their sins ??
NOTE = In my dealings with other Protestants, I have noted that they are quick with " theoretical " verses from the Bible. However, we are urged to = test = all spirits. True Doctrine can = only = arise after examining how God worked in the lives of people. Take for example, the couple Ananias and Sapphira from the 1st = Faith = Christian community, who were "executed" by God for just dishonesty and lying, and this only a short time - after - Jesus' Heavenly ascent- Acts 5. What happened to Jesus' intercession. ??
Protestants also believe that Jesus' Blood wiped away all past, present and future sins. If this was the case, how come Sodom and Gomorrah have not been restored ? And God can see the past, present and future all at once because He is outside time. So why did God permit the 70 year Babylonian exile, if Jesus was going to pay their sin debt ? Or the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD?
And if I rob you of your house and property, will God welcome me into Heaven as - Good and Faithful servant - and proceed to give me the best mansion there ?

@@loboman8029 that's the thing though with this infused righteousness by faith because it leads you into the error that by performing all of the sacraments it is thus saving me from the sin that I have in my life. Why do you think that Roman Catholicism has so many festivals? I think it leads its credence into the fact that they believe in original sin and the total depravity of man rather than seeing that through Adam we have a weakened physiology. This is the problem with most western theology that has come about through the augustinian doctrine of original sin and all the fallout that has come with it such as satisfaction theory of Christ's redemptive work as well as the penal substitutionary varying theory of that redemptive work.
You do realize that Augustine himself was not able to read Hebrew or Greek and therefore when he read the Bible in Latin the word concupiscence has a much darker meaning than what is often taught in Eastern Orthodox circles.
Also the idea that sin is a debt came from the Anselmian construct that the wrong committed was an equal measure to the offended status of the sovereign; this belief then makes papists and Protestants anthropomorphize God.

The entire class of a dozen other uniformed young "ladies" erupted in laughter as did Sr. Herbst... the apparent foolishness of idea that I wanted to be a saint stuck with me among those peers for _another 20y_ even when I joined facebook my friends joked "how's it going becoming a saint" they'd ask "lol"ing at me... well, I quit facebook before I read the bible and learned the truth... That person is a liar. Given the fact that the Church has canonized saints, there is no way that alleged nun or class could have thought that it was so funny.
The Church teaches that the saints are example of holiness. Oddly enough, there are those who attack those who have answered God's call to enter the religious life. They claim that there is nothing in the bible about sisters, nuns, monks, friars, et cetera. They ignore the fact that these people felt a desire to live the gospel message in communities while serving God and the people. That alleged nun lives in one such community.
Take what Thomas Merton had to say about it.
"The saint is one so attuned to the spirit and heart of Christ that he is compelled to answer the demands of love by a love that matches that of Christ." Thomas Merton

Please find a Traditional Catholic Church near you. Preferably an Sspx chapel where you will learn the true teachings of The Church. Be careful of getting yourself confused by Protestant teachings. Remember for the first 3 to 4 hundred years there was no Christian Bible. It was The Catholics who decided which books were to go into the New Testament. Everything was taught by word of mouth. Once the New Testament was decided upon, there were only a few hand copied Bibles available. It was the priests and monasteries that kept these books and perhaps some of the very wealthy who owned bibles. Very few people could read and write and it was only when the printing press came into being that bibles became more available. Then Martin Luther came onto the scene and removed several books which didn't agree with his new doctrines. Since then there have been many, many interpretations to the bible, subtly changing the original teachings. Do yourself a favor. Order "Where we got The Bible" written by RT. Rev. Henry G. Graham published by TAN books. ISBN 978-0-89555-796-4. Do not believe all the lies that the Protestants spew out. Jesus only started One Church. How many Christian churches are there today? Over 40 000. They all teach something different! They cannot all be right. The Catholic Church is going through a terrible time presently but Christ assured us that Satan would never prevail. That is why I tell you to seek out a Tradition Catholic Church where you will be taught the true teachings passed from Jesus, to Peter and down from every Pope until Pope Pius Xll, after which we had the Second Vatican Council which has subtly tried to change church teaching, without anyone noticing, thus leading The Catholic Church into Apostacy. Since then the enemy has gained power over the hierarchy. Our Lady of Fatima assured us that Her Immaculate Heart would Triumph in the end. The Virgin Mary always leads you to her son. She is never worshiped, but honoured. At Fatima The Virgin said " That God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart." To prove that the Apparitions of Fatima were real, God performed a miracle of Biblical proportions. On the 13 October, 1917, 70000 people witnessed the Sun leaving its orbit. It gyrated made circles in the sky, gave off many different colours, it plummeted to the earth. It did things that only God could do. Satan does not have the power to change the laws of Nature. Only God has those powers. God wants us to honour Jesus's mother.
God bless and go back to your faith. (The precious pearl.) There is no other way for you to save your soul. You need the 7 sacraments, you need Christs Church. You cannot save your soul alone.

I think one of the main hang-ups with Catholics is they get way too tribalistic when it comes to the Catholic church. It's kinda like rabid sports fans that will defend "their" team and act as if "their" team is the best there is, even if they lose every game they play.
One of the biggest red flags is when they claim that the Catholic church is "the one true church". The church is not what's important. Jesus Christ and His teaching are what's important. The church of Jesus Christ is not a physical one of goliath worldly riches and power. It's a church of the spirit, uniting all believers.

L Footie So you believe in what Calvin taught which is basically that some people go to heaven and others go to hell and are predestined before they are even born. Because if it is by God’s doing alone there is nothing humans can do to get to heaven. So whether they believe in Jesus and never do anything else the rest of their lives that is it a ticket to heaven. So no matter how bad or good you are it will not effect your salvation and that nature and grace do not work together. Because if they do not work together this is basically saying that every thing both good and bad is ultimately in God’s hands even your ability to believe. So this means that free will on the human side is null and void. But Calvinism says this very thing by it’s theology nature and grace do not work together because everything depends on God and nothing on the human side. So there is no free will.

Just know that as a child of God I am bound by two great commandments that Christ taught love God with your whole heart and soul and love your neighbor as yourself. This Jesus says it what is necessary. As a sister in Christ I do not really wish to quibble with fellow Christian. My main concern is to get the truth out there on what Catholicism really teaches not the false innuendos put out by non Catholics who do not know the teachings of the church that is my main point. One for instance is we do not worship saints it is forbidden. We are forbidden to worship Mary because worship is due to God alone, we honor the mother of Jesus but not worship. So many people get it wrong. If you want to really know the official stance on the Catholic Church please read an official Cathechism of the Church. This will clarify any misconceptions there are in the teachings. Just as some Protestants do infant baptism others do not. I do not lump all Protestants into the same group. Yes there are married Catholic priests the western rite does not allow it but the Eastern rite does. Just a small example of one of the misconceptions among many others. May God richly bless you.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I was raised Catholic. But even as a young person, it never set right with me. In my 20s, I read the Bible for the first time. There are no Bibles in a Catholic Church except by the priest. He tells you what he wants you to know. But diving into the scriptures is never explicitly encouraged. Therefore, you just believe what the priest tells you. Since you have no true knowledge of the scriptures yourself but only know the Catholic doctrine, you have nothing to refute against. You are just an empty vessel being filled by whatever the Catholic church leadership tells you.
I read the Bible myself before the influence of the Internet, and for that I am grateful. My conversion was as organic as could be. Not one person ever said anything to me against Catholicism. It was my own reading of the word, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that convicted me of the heresy of the Catholic church and its teachings. The Catholic priests today are the Pharisees of old. There is nothing new under the sun. Jesus condemned the Pharisees “teaching as doctrines, the commandments of men,” which is exactly what the Catholic Church does (as well as Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses).
They all use the name of Jesus to establish authority and lend credibility to their faiths, but they quickly abandon Him for their own doctrine. I know many Catholics and I pray for them often to come out of this demonic man-made religion.

This passage deals with the apostolic office. Parallel passages in Matthew suggest the same thing (Mt 16:19; 18:18). This was a special function the apostles had between the resurrection and ascension of Christ.
23 If you forgive the sins of any [of any class],
Jesus did not give the apostles the inherent right to forgive sins but the privilege to convey the message of forgiveness. Ministers of the gospel cannot forgive sins but simply proclaim how sins are forgiven.
The word “any” indicates that the sins forgiven are forgiven to a class of people, not to individuals (Lu 24:46-48).
      they [the sins] are forgiven them;
The words “are forgiven” indicate that this is an event that had already taken place by God (passive voice). The apostles could proclaim sins previously forgiven.
if you retain the sins of any, they [the sins] are retained.”
The words “are retained” indicate that this is an event that had already taken place by God (passive voice, perfect tense). Sins previously committed have been retained.
Both “forgiven” and “retained” are in the passive voice in the Greek, which means that it is God who forgives and retains. God alone forgives sin (Mk 2:3-12; Lu 5:17-26). The Greek tenses (periphrastic future perfects) indicate that forgiveness was already resolved by the death of Christ on the cross. The right of the apostles to forgive or retain depends on the previous forgiveness by God. All that remains is to proclaim that Christ paid for our sins. We could translate the phrases this way: “Those sins you forgive have already been forgiven…those sins you do not forgive have not been forgiven.” In other words, forgiveness is dependent on God’s forgiveness.
The issue of forgiveness and retention of sins is related to the binding and loosing of Matthew 16:18; 18:18.

@OssoryOverSeas *Paganism of Roman Catholic Church*
Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship/adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture. So, if the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in the New Testament, what is the true origin of the Catholic Church?
For the first 280 years of Christian history, Christianity was banned by the Roman Empire, and Christians were terribly persecuted. This changed after the “conversion” of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Constantine provided religious toleration with the Edict of Milan in AD 313, effectively lifting the ban on Christianity. Later, in AD 325, Constantine called the Council of Nicea in an attempt to unify Christianity. Constantine envisioned Christianity as a religion that could unite the Roman Empire, which at that time was beginning to fragment and divide. While this may have seemed to be a positive development for the Christian church, the results were anything but positive. Just as Constantine refused to fully embrace the Christian faith but continued many of his pagan beliefs and practices, so the Christian church that Constantine and his successors promoted progressively became a mixture of true Christianity and Roman paganism.
    Following are a few examples:
Most Roman Catholic beliefs and practices regarding Mary are completely absent from the Bible. Where did those beliefs come from? The Roman Catholic view of Mary has far more in common with the Isis mother-goddess religion of Egypt than it does with anything taught in the New Testament. Interestingly, the first hints of Catholic Mariology occur in the writings of Origen, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, which happened to be the focal point of Isis worship.
The Lord’s Supper being a consumption of the literal body and blood of Jesus is not taught in the Bible. The idea that bread and wine are miraculously transformed into the literal body and blood of Jesus (transubstantiation) is not biblical. However, several ancient pagan religions, including Mithraism, which was very popular in the Roman Empire, had some form of “theophagy” (the eating of one’s god) as a ritualistic practice.
Roman Catholicism has “saints” one can pray to in order to gain a particular blessing. For example, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla is the patron saint of fertility. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals. There are multiple patron saints of healing and comfort. Nowhere is even a hint of this taught in Scripture. Just as the Roman pantheon of gods had a god of love, a god of peace, a god of war, a god of strength, a god of wisdom, etc., so the Catholic Church has a saint who is “in charge” over each of these and many other categories. Many Roman cities had a god specific to the city, and the Catholic Church provided “patron saints” for cities as well.
The idea that the Roman bishop is the vicar of Christ, the supreme leader of the Christian Church, is utterly foreign to the Word of God. The supremacy of the Roman bishop (the papacy) was created with the support of the Roman emperors. While most other bishops (and Christians) resisted the idea of the Roman bishop being supreme, the Roman bishop eventually rose to supremacy, again, due to the power and influence of the Roman emperors. After the western half of the Roman Empire collapsed, the popes took on the title that had previously belonged to the Roman emperors-Pontifex Maximus.
Many more examples could be given. These four should suffice in demonstrating the origin of the Catholic Church. Of course, the Roman Catholic Church denies the pagan origin of its beliefs and practices. The Catholic Church disguises its pagan beliefs under layers of complicated theology and church tradition. Recognizing that many of its beliefs and practices are utterly foreign to Scripture, the Catholic Church is forced to deny the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
The origin of the Catholic Church is the tragic compromise of Christianity with the pagan religions that surrounded it. Instead of proclaiming the gospel and converting the pagans, the Catholic Church “Christianized” the pagan religions and “paganized” Christianity. By blurring the differences and erasing the distinctions, the Catholic Church made itself attractive to the idolatrous people of the Roman Empire. One result was the Catholic Church becoming the supreme religion in the Roman world for centuries. However, another result was the most dominant form of Christianity apostatizing from the true gospel of Jesus Christ and the true proclamation of God’s Word.
Second Timothy 4:3-4 declares, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

That's entirely false. The changes and alterations accreted by Rome made it different from traditional Christianity maintained in the other four Patriarchates by the mid-1000's. This is what the Great Schism was about. There's nothing in Roman Catholicism which draws from paganism. It's doctrines relating to specifically Christian ideas which makes Rome distinct.

Former Catholic here. Went to religion classes for 12 years. Trusted in Christ alone 32 years ago while reading a 5.00 King James Bible for myself. After that I studied Catholic doctrine intently comparing the church teachings to the Bible. What Mike is teaching is accurate. It wasn’t until I read Vatican 2 that I learned of the treasury of merits. The book of Hebrews was eye opening for me as a Catholic. I wish more people in the Church had a burden for Catholics. You asked: do you only pray to Jesus or the saints as well?

If you are using the word "pray" in its other meaning as "to ask" then yes, I ask other Christians to pray (worship) Go on my behalf.
You: Do you confess and repent to Christ alone or do you confess to priests?
Me: I am a Christian so I follow what Jesus taught. When he appeared to the apostles on the day of his resurrection he gave them the power to forgive sins (John 20:23) I am not aware of him providing any other normal way to have one's sins forgiven after his ascension to Heaven. Are you? If so give me a verse.

@@bridgefin You ask other Christians to Pray that are living. So do I. Do you ask people who have died to interecede on your behalf? Do you pray on behalf of others that have passed on, that is in purgatory?
I am sorry you believe humans have the power to forgive sins. You also might have a misunderstanding of the BIble teaching. 'ONLY GOD CAN FORGIVE SIN'. Jesus never says He has the power to forgive Sin. Jesus OVERCAME sin and death, so that we can be forgiven of our sins by God through the life and death of Jesus Christ. If Jesus never said that He Himself forgave Sin directly, why would you assume in John 20:23 that Jesus is passing on that power to humans? I Peter says this in Acts 10 “Everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” Read John 20:21-22. Jesus tells us that He is sending the Apostles just like God the Father Sent Him. To do what? To share the Great News so that those that believe in Jesus, will have their sins forgiven by God. Jesus also warns that those that do not receive the good news, their sins would not be forgiven. The Apostles did not have the 'power' to forgive sin. They did have the power in the Holy Spirit to spread the Word of God, the Gospel of Jesus, so through Jesus, people can be forgiven of their Sin. The power in that is in Jesus, not in humans.
That is really crazy that you have the entire Gospel and New Testament, and you are 'not aware' of him providing any other 'normal way' to have ones' sins forgiven after His ascension to Heaven. Please go to the Word of God. Here is Jesus Himself speaking on how people can get their sins Forgiven.
There are so many verses here and more than happy to unpack if you have specific follow ups. But here is one below, that makes it clear, God is the one who has the power to Forgive, and through Jesus, people can be forgiven of their sins,
Colossians 2:13-14 13 aAnd you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God bmade alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by ccanceling dthe record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. First of all, as a Catholic, I want to recognize you as a faithful brother in Christ. We both believe in the deity, antoning death, and resurrection of our Lord. That's what makes us Christian. I want to try to clear up the idea of "works." Of course, St. James said that faith without works is dead. What this means is that your good works are REFLECTION of your salvation, not the CAUSE of it. So, are good works important? You bet they are. We are known by the fruits we produce. A good tree produces good fruits. But to be clear, as a Catholic, I know our good works alone will not redeem us. Now, go spend your time spreading the Gospel, doing good works, and not running down your fellow Christians. God go with you.

In my language there's the idea of "good deeds" - I was wondering if it was the same as "works". From the quote of St. James, probably so. The confusion of are "works" needed for salvation might come because simply doing good deeds won't make you believe Christ, but if you believe in Christ, you should feel the urge to do good deeds. If one says, they believe in Christ, and do no "works", because the faith is all they need for salvation - it's a good spot for them to look inside themselfs ang ask if they reeeealy believe.
And as a confirmation for St. Jacobs words, there's also Matthew 25:31-46
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

I’m sorry for anyone who has been affected by the leadership of the Roman Catholic church. Please study God’s word for yourself. When you learn the truth, you will understand that Peter is not the Rock. Christ is the Rock *1 Corinthians 3:11.* Please study.
      -------------
The Rock of the church is spiritual, not physical. There is only one Rock.
. *1 Corinthians 10:4* and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
      -------------
      • Adding doctrines is apostasy and it’s forbidden. *Deuteronomy 4:2,* *Galatians 1:6-7*
      *Mark 7:7*
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
      -------------
      • There aren’t any officiating new covenant priests. We have a new ministry in the new covenant. *Ephesians 4:11*
      • God does not show favoritism *Romans 2:11* -- there is no evidence in the scriptures that the church was built on a human. We do not have a human pope to guide us. We are led by the Spirit. *Acts 1:5*
      -------------
      • The scriptures show no differences in the apostles.
      ****Equality amongst the apostles****
“Ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.” (****Ephesians 2:20****)
“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” (****Revelation 21:14****).
      • Peter was no different than the others.
      -------------
      • Mary nor the saints can hear prayers. There’s only one mediator in heaven between God & Man.
*1 Timothy 2:5* For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
      -------------
      • All Christians are saints.
*Philippians 1:1* Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
      -------------
      • All Christians are priests.
      -------------
      • Every Christian is supposed to study and read the Bible for themselves. *Acts 17:11*
*Ephesians 3:4* As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.
*Psalm 119:15* I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.
      -------------
      • In order to receive salvation, we must all repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. We need no Eucharist, no veneration of Mary, no long list of good works, no baptism regeneration, no sacrament of reconciliation, no rosary, no pope, no papacy, no belief in Peter as the Rock 1 Corinthians 3:11, no man-made doctrine, no priests, no infallible magisterium, no Vatican, no communion of saints, no catechisms, no Marian dogmas, no transubstantiation, but only by faith through grace are we saved.
****Ephesians 2:8**** "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast".

The only way you can dispute that the church referred to is the Catholic Church is to willfully deny true history in which case you can say any ludicrous, senseless and laughable false statement you want often enough so you actually begin to believe it. Historically Peter was the first pope and you can deny it. In fact you have to deny it to make any part of your argument work. Historical FACT is he was and Mat 16 says
“Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[b] and on this rock I will build MY CHURCH, and the gates of Hades[c] will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[d] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[e] loosed in heaven.” Biblical verse is NOT a self claim my friend.

Biblical fact of the day- At the beginning of the Protestant uprising circa 1520, Martin Luther did not like the construction of Romans 3:28 as it was originally written, eg “for man is justified by faith apart from the ‘works of the law’ “ So he simply added the word “alone” after the word faith So the passage would read “man is saved by faith ALONE apart from the ‘works of the law’ “ As confirmed recently by the Dead Sea Scrolls, the works of the law refers to Jewish customs such as cleansing rituals, circumcision, etc. They clearly do not refer to the keeping of the 10 Commandments, etc by which every Christian remains bound. That is to say we are bound to produce good works and to produce good fruit. Cf Matt 25, in fact we will be judged by our works as concurred by the book of James.
So the revolution launched by Luther and Calvin now developed a new novel teaching, known as “justification by faith ALONE”, which was sadly a false Rewriting of holy Scriptures. When questioned by others as to why Luther would change the Bible to justify his novel doctrine, he said, “because Dr. Luther says it is so”.

Hello Pastor Mike! I found your channel not to long ago and have enjoyed many of your videos and the rigorous application of Scripture applied therein. This is a bit of an older video of yours, so we'll see if anyone reads this, haha. Speaking as a Catholic Christian, I am grateful that you have taken the time to do your research on Catholic teaching and practice. That said, I think there are some things mentioned here that could benefit from further discussion.
Firstly and most fundamental of these is your understanding of Catholic teaching about God's grace and salvation. I was disturbed by what you had to say about works as they relate to one's status of being saved in the Catholic perspective. Contrary to what some might think, Catholics do not believe that one's salvation is merited by one's own works. To make that claim would likely be stumbling into the heresy of Pelagianism, which was condemned by the Church at the Council of Carthage in 418 AD. We maintain that salvation is the free gift of God, paid for by the perfect and eternally sufficient sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. We also agree that one is only saved through faith in Jesus Christ, faith that is given to us by grace (Eph. 2:8-9). However, we also believe that good works are an essential part of that faith. "Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" (James 2:17). We know that the question of whether works are a part of one's faith can potentially affect one's salvation from three verses earlier: "Can that faith save him?"
On the topic of God's grace, I find it to be somewhat reductive to say that Catholic theology presents grace as "piecemeal," separated into little bits, or the suggestion that grace is not wholly sufficient to cleanse one of all their life's sins. It is true that the Sacraments are a particular avenue by which God's grace is distributed. However, that is not to say that God's grace is restricted by or to these particular functions (see also: CCC 1257). You mentioned progressive sanctification over the course of one's life, and who can claim to have met a Christian perfected in this life? Rather than to suggest that grace has been given to us only at one time and exhaustively, isn't there some reason in saying that God's saving grace is constantly and abundantly washing over us, forgiving and transforming us even as we continue to transgress against Him in our yet imperfect state? I also would also contest your framing of Catholic practice as having the purpose of appeasing the wrath of God. We as Catholics believe that if anything, the Sacraments have been bestowed upon us as a showing of God's abundant love for us. One need only look to the prophet Isaiah: "Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life" (Isaiah 43:4).
With these things in mind, there are some things I would like to address about the Sacraments, starting with baptism. The Catholic perspective on baptism, and part of the reason why it is admissible to baptize children, is more than an initiation into the Church or the forgiveness of original sin (though it is indeed those things), and it is more than a profession of faith -- it is a death to sin and a rebirth to Christ (Rom. 6:4). Baptism releases one from slavery to sin (Rom. 6:6-7) and is the moment of spiritual adoption by God, opening one to the inheritance of God's children (Rom. 8:14-17). This "death to sin" and adoption as children of God is why Catholics hold the importance of baptism to one's salvation.
Continuing through the Sacraments, let's talk about Penance, Confession, or as it is aptly named, Reconciliation. You may be surprised to learn that a well-catechized Catholic would agree with you that something would have to be very wrong to believe that we have to "make up for" our sins to God. To suggest as much in relation to prescribed prayer after confession would suggest that prayer should be some kind of undesirable punishment! As I said before, Catholics *agree* that Christ's sacrifice perfectly paid for our sins, and there is nothing we can do by our own power to save ourselves. Far from making up for our sins, the Sacrament of Reconciliation calls us to repent of sin and to ask for and accept God's free gift of forgiveness. It is an opportunity to consciously turn back toward God, accept His grace, and realign our minds and bodies to walk toward God's holiness aided by the counsel of a priest. Sins are NOT forgiven by virtue of the priest (and **certainly not** by the works of the saints), but by Christ who has paid the price of our forgiveness! The idea of mortal and venial sins is based on Scripture, which mentions that there are sins that lead to death and sins that do not (1 John 5:16-17). Death in this context is taken to mean eternal death, or the "loss of salvation." What this means in Catholic teaching is that mortal sin is grave sin that constitutes a conscious turning from God's grace. Grace is the free gift of God, and forgiveness is always offered; it is us who choose to refuse God's grace by gravely sinning.
The last I want to touch on is the Eucharist, which is called by Catholics the source and summit of our Faith. I am glad you mentioned that in adjacent chapters describing Jesus's ministry He is taken too literally, and must then explain that he is speaking metaphorically! Contrast Jesus's response in other chapters with His response in chapter 6: when the people grumble about the meaning of His teaching, He doubles down, each time in increasing detail about the reality of the teaching (John 6:47-51,53-56). It is true that we offer what we believe to be the literal flesh and blood of Christ in every Mass. We do not believe that doing this adds to Christ's sacrifice in any way, but instead that through this we are given the opportunity both to give thanks and to actively participate in the supper of the Lamb. You also mentioned that to consume blood went against the Jewish law. Upon further investigation, Scripture actually reveals the reason for this prohibition: "You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood" (Lev. 17:14). In the Mosaic covenant, blood was for God alone. After Jesus's perfect sacrifice, however, the purpose of this ceremony was perfected and fulfilled, and Christians are not required to abstain from blood. Still, I doubt the potential for Jewish discomfort was lost on Jesus; Jews are similarly uncomfortable at His statements in John 6, but He still questions them for being offended by His words. I believe that we are strongly compelled by Scripture to take Christ's words in John 6 literally and to give worship to Him in the Eucharist
For all of these Sacraments, I would like to address your objection to the requirement of an ordained priest for their administration (or the validity of the priesthood at all). You cited 1 Peter 2:9 to say that as Christians we are all priests of Jesus Christ, and once again the Catholic Church affirms that! However, in this verse Peter himself is quoting Exodus 19:6! We know from the book of Exodus that despite the priesthood of the entire nation of Israel, they still have a distinct priestly class for the practice of certain sacrifices and ceremonies. The Catholic clergy is not privy to a greater measure of God's graces, only distinct responsibilities within the larger priesthood of the Church.
Last thing: Purgatory. While not named by Scripture, the existence of a purification after death is supported by the Bible. Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians says that among those who are saved, they will face purification: "If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire" (1 Cor 3:12-15). Furthermore, Rev. 21:27 says that no unclean thing will enter Heaven, and Hebrews 12:23 speaks of the "spirits of the righteous made perfect." How many people do you know who you can confidently say died in perfect alignment with the Faith? Catholic teaching does not say that Purgatory is a place to make up for sins, nor does it necessarily exclude the possibility that purgation is an instantaneous process. It only teaches that it is a step in sanctification whereby a saved soul is prepared to perfectly enter into the life of Paradise. Catholics do pray for the dead, and there is evidence of writing in Roman catacombs left by early Christians recording prayers for the dead. Furthermore, while I know 1 & 2 Maccabees are of disputed inspirational origin among Christian denominations, 2 Macc. 12:38-46 at least provides historical evidence that Jews of the time did pray for the dead.
To anyone who read to this point, I really appreciate it! I think an important way to glorify God is to ponder his words through open discussion aimed toward striving for His glory. :)

This is interesting. I am Christian and have a roommate who is Catholic and I went to Mass with them one night. What really caught me off guard, even though I knew about these beliefs about Mary, was that the priest was praying and asked that the community would grow in their devotion to Mary, not Jesus. It really made it real for me and helped me realize that this is what many Catholics actually believe.

Catholics deny it, but look how they defend Catholicism and keep elevating Mary and call her "mother" and even "mama" which is spiritually sickening.
All they do regurgitate what they are told, despite it not anywhere in scripture. That's because they are groomed to believe you can't depend on scripture alone. They think they need their priests and popes to tell them what God says. Even though Christ said his word is what sanctifies us and his Holy Spirit leads to all truth.
They think the Holy Spirit's guidance is only for a select few. Sad. That's how the Catholic leaders deceive so many naive and lazy Catholics who refuse to study the Bible and who distrust God's word.

When you say "devotion" - does that mean worship or does that mean being devoted to Mary because of who she is and because of the dedication she had in God's plan of salvation (Just because the priest said to have a devotion to Mary, does not automatically mean to worship Mary). Worship is for God alone (many people think that catholics worship Mary because they have been told [potentially many times] that catholics, in fact, do worship Mary) and any catholic who is, in fact, taking it too far and actually worshipping Mary --- should repent, go to confession and never do it again!

Here’s the thing Mike. The Bible doesn’t state all of your beliefs. The word “Trinity” is not in the Bible...yet all Christians believe in the triune God. Know why? Because the early Catholic Church interpreted it that way. So say thank you to the Catholic Church for the core of Christian belief.
Catholics don’t believe in grace a little bit at a time...we are all given grace through faith in Christ. Christ calls us to do good works, and if you have true faith you will do good works. Many parables that Jesus himself says say that you must do good works or be thrown out of the kingdom of God, he even washes his Apostles feet.
You do not have to be baptized in the Catholic Church for salvation, the Catholic Church recognizes all trinitarian baptisms as legitimate. In Catholicism, parents are expected to raise their children in the faith. There is nothing in the Bible that says Baptism can not apply to infants so that’s your opinion which goes against almost all of Christian beliefs- including Protestants like Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, and yes Catholics.
On Penance, never heard of the treasury of merit, that’s not in the Catholic Catechism...do your research. Following penance instructions of the priest is not a work or necessary for forgiveness of sins, it is simply a way to get close to God. Purple stoll??? No not necessary. But it’s not the Catholic Church that forgives, it is Christ. Yes there is an Apolostic Succession in the Bible, read Acts. Keys of the kingdom were given by Jesus to Peter and his successors. No one is between me and God.
Mass to appease Gods wrath? No. Grace is not piecemeal, again it is fully given through faith. The Eucharist is God communing with us, we are partaking of Gods being, per his commandment - do this in memory of me. This is my body, this is my blood...Jesus does NOT say it’s a symbol. Eucharist is NOT necessary for salvation, Catholics believe trinitarian Christians can all be saved. Yes, it IS Jesus, because Jesus said so, so yes we do worship His real presence. Do more research and stop spreading falsehoods. The Apostles did recognize it was Jesus body and blood, because Jesus is the new Passover. Your interpretation is in the minority and you don’t know better than millions who came before you. Love how you pick and choose your bible verses. Witchcraft? So insulting. Again it’s not about getting cleansed or bits of grace, it’s about communion with God. We are not constantly condemned, but we are all sinners. You are NOT perfected forever...yes Jesus paid it all, but he didn’t make you perfect. Catholics absolutely believe Jesus paid for our sins with his ONE sacrifice. You are so wrong about Catholic teachings, you skim the surface and don’t understand the meaning behind it.
Mass is first part about scripture, we read Old Testament, New Testament, and the Gospel every Sunday, and hear preaching just like you.
Appease the wrath of God is a big theme of yours, and so wrong. Do you even know a single Catholic person? Have you talked with a Priest?
1208 AD - there was only one Church...the Catholic Church! The pope then was talking about non-Christians. Yes, Vatican 2, current Catholic teaching, is that all those believe in Jesus as Triune God are saved.
You don’t understand the role of the Pope, he is not infallible, yes many popes have said stupid things over time, as I’m sure many of your church leaders have (including you stating so many false things).
Purgatory recognizes that we are sinners and it’s a time of purification before being in the presence of God. It is not defined in terms of time or condition. Yes the thief will be in paradise because of his true faith, but I bet there was a period of purgatory for that murderer before he got to that paradise.
Saints aren’t the only ones in heaven. Yes they can be intercessors, but praying to saints is not mandatory. All Catholics are welcome to and encouraged to pray straight to Christ. Just because it’s not in scripture doesn’t mean it wasn’t an early practice of the church and a legitimate Christian expression. Look up the Perpetual help prayer again, it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what you read. Nothing about entrusting my soul or salvation to Mary...nothing about changing Jesus mind. Falsehood that you’re speaking. We never worship Mary or any other saint. Mary does not love us more than Jesus, that is RIDICULOUS. And INSULTING.
Yes the Marian dogmas are not scripture based, they are based on traditions passed down through the centuries. Like many other fundamental Christian beliefs. Brothers = friends or apostles. No there is not even close to as much attention on MARY as of Jesus...have you been in any Catholic Church and seen the crucifix front and center? Have you been to a Catholic service, there is constant prayer to Christ. NO WORSHIP OF MARY. Not idolatry.
You have completely misrepresented Catholic teachings. COMPLETELY. Spend more time trying to understand the fundamentals. There is more to Christianity, there is also Tradition that has been divinely revealed over time. There is nothing in Catholicism that conflicts with the Bible. I hope your readers will have a more open mind and do real research on the Catholic Church.

the Godhead is clearly taught in scripture we don't need the rcc for that.
actually rc have different types and definition of grace from us ----- and teach God gives you grace to do "salutary acts" (which means good works) which earns you more grace to do more "salutary acts" to get more grace ………. and what happens when you commit a mortal sin ?
correct the rcc now teaches there is salvation outside the rcc but that was changed. the old teaching was
ALL those outside the rcc eg. Jews, heretics, schismatics, pagans went to hell. we all know that b/c rc are having a big fight with other rc over that.
I was told the rc priest wore a purple stoll when hearing confessions by a rc is he lying ? and that's the problem the rcc teaches you need to go through a rc priest to have your sins forgiven. in emergency you can go directly to God but afterwards you have to go to a rc priest to make it official.
rc call the mass a propitiatory sacrifice and I have talked to a rc priest and he agrees with Pastor Mike…….. "CCC 1367 The sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of the Eucharist are one single sacrifice: "The victim is one and the same: the same now offers through the ministry of priests, who then offered himself on the cross; only the manner of offering is different." "And since in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and is offered in an unbloody manner. . . this sacrifice is truly propitiatory."" and I'm pretty sure Trent also supports Pastor Mike's statements about the rc mass.
we understand about the pope ……. he is infallible when speaking ex cathedra on matters of faith and morals.
purgatory denies Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient and is a misinterpretation on the part of the rcc to get loads of cash.
talking to those mortals that have left the earthly realm is forbidden biblically and Jesus told us to go directly to the Father in His will. you give Mary hyperdulia which is worship.
actually with many rc it's Mary, Mary, Mary. and not only is your Mariology not clearly taught in scripture it makes no sense and even in part condemned by scripture.

      ⭐Was Bible a Roman Catholic Book? ⭐
      The answer is No.
Scriptures was written by Jewish Prophets and Jewish Christian APostles. Not Roman Catholics. By ad100s, all Scriptures of modern day Bibles were already in all churches. Jesus and APostles already called Scriptures "Scriptures" in their days. Believers did not have to wait 300 years for Scriptures to be "made inspired" or "called Scriptures" by Roman religion.
⭐Did Roman Church come up with a Universal Canon?⭐
      The answer is No.
Roman religion merely compiled what was already there. Council of Rome was merely a local council. Council of Rome merely compiled it's own local canon. Not a Universal Canon. Roman religion’s NT canon was only one of many local canons in those days. Roman Church did not fix any Universal Canon. That requires an Ecumenical Council with bishops of all churches. Nothing of such happened.
⭐Were there other canons after Council of Rome in ad382? ⭐
      The answer is yes.
Council of Rome claimed to have a Universal Canon by ad382. If Roman religion and Roman pope was all that powerful having authority over all churches, no other churches would need to come up with a canon; like Hippo (397) and Carthage (419). There were still other canons in ad692 and 1442. If a Universal Canon was really fixed in ad382 like what Roman Catholics claimed, why were there still other canons after ad382? Why are there still other canons till this day - 66, 73, 81 books canons?*
⭐Does Christian Bible come from Roman Catholic Bible?⭐
      The answer is No.
Roman Bibles came from a Greek translation called LXX. Christian Bibles came from Hebrew OT. So why would Christian Bible be from Roman Catholics?
⭐Did Christians remove 7 books or did Roman Catholics added 7 books? ⭐
Bible says Scriptures is of Jewish Origins. Romans 3:1-2. Not Roman Catholic origins. Jews till this day holds OT 39 books. Not Roman religion’s OT 46 books. Scriptures is always correct. So clearly pointing to Roman religionists adding 7 books. Greek LXX was merely a translation of Original Hebrew OT. Original Hebrew OT did not contain Apocrypha 7 books. So why would a translation have Apocrypha 7 books? So clearly pointing to Roman religionists adding 7 books.
⭐Refuting Papacy from canon point of view. ⭐
ad382 canon was merely one of many local canons in those days, from a local council called Council of Rome. It was not a final Universal Canon which RCs love to claim. There were still other local canons before ad382 and after ad382 like in ad692 and 1442. If Roman canon was the one and only final Universal Canon for all churches, why would there be other canons before and after ad382? In fact there was not a single Ecumenical Council with bishops of all churches that fixed any Universal Canon till this day. Not one.
If there was really a pope who had "All Authority" from ad33 in early Church like what RCs love to claim, he would have fixed a Universal Canon by ad100. Why would there be so many canons floating around from ad100s -ad1400s?

Now call me a Believer, not a Baptist, even though I am attending a Baptist church, this is where God has me. The more I dive into the bible, the more I see that the Catholic church being like the Judaizes that Paul speaks about in his letters to the churches.

Did you know the Bible talks about the Catholic Church? Acts 20:29-30 "I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them.…" Those that come from their own number the Catholics Church call their Church fathers or founding Fathers.

This is why studying scriptures, the times, the Language it was written in, why it was written, the context of what was written and the culture all must be taken in consideration when reading Scriptures.

I believe in God the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
    born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church,
    the communion of saints,

Because no legitimate ordination has been extended outside of the Church, and no non member is truly anointed with a blessing to grant such privilege.
Without being given to do a sacred thing for the universal good, one carries not the Blessing for that thing. The seven sons of Sceva were not described by Luke as unorthodox in belief, but tried to apply extra-ecclesial authority to an exorcism, and were powerless against the demons. They had had GOD's blessing before in the old covenant as godly Jews, and now believed the Gospel with better understanding than protestants generally do today. But they had not the Anointing bestowed on Catholic Christians generally nor that specific to Catholic Clergy.
GOD is specific about who teaches. Paul already knew he was predestined to be an Apostle but admitted that unless he received by the right hand of the Apostolate the anointed grant and empowerment to preach, he'd be doing so in vain.
