Socrates once said "Know thyself."
Socrates also once said "The only thing I know, is that I know nothing."
Well, that's it. He knows himself, and that self is "nothing".
As in, not an object that exists in time or space.
It is consciousness itself. 0 dimensional, with 0 qualities other than awareness. Therefore, it is not a thing.
Although that doesn't mean it's nothing. It's full of the best qualities we can imagine when expressed clearly into the world without resistance.
