    every enlightened person has it's own version on things. like empath who's able to feel things that cannot be seen, enlightened person can see or observed what is happening around as they can feel or sort of see the energy that drives things to it's purpose. enlightenment stage is just a tool, they should observe their on self as everything is in it.

      There aren’t any individual beings for there to be an enlightened person. When we say someone is enlightened, we’re pointing to a mind that has recognised that its own consciousness is infinite and shared between all minds and all things. In other words, that we recognise that everything is God. They don’t have special powers or an exotic state of mind. Most kids these days have recognised this. We’re just extremely over dramatic about it all.

    Let me get this straight, you think: Infinite pure consciousness = enlightenment, and there's only ONE enlightened thing, 'no-thing'? Then that enlightenment = unrestricted emotion of happiness... by knowing We = the universe, which is the 'no-thing'(?), and that the universe or 'no-thing' is infinite (in spacetime?), so we're undifferentiating ourselves from it by knowing We = IT, and therefore, will never ACTUALLY die... voiding our perceived problems because they essentially don't matter in the grand scheme of infinity (?) Ultimately: (US = UNIVERSE, which you are saying is ONE (No-differentiation) and Infinite (in spacetime?)) = CONSCIOUSNESS = ENLIGHTMENT = HAPPINESS

    • @sajafendel
      @sajafendel 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Almost what I’m saying! Happiness is not an emotion. Don’t expect an emotion. When I say infinite, I don’t mean time and space, or in infinite “size” I mean infinite as in - not limited or finite. Which means, does not exist in time or space. We don’t indiffereciate with consciousness, we are already that, so we don’t need to identify or try to identify with anything. We just remove the belief in separation. Yes you’re right, we don’t die because we’re already that which cannot be born or die. That means fear of death dissolves. That also means when the body dies, we don’t get attached to the body. Will make that whole experience a whole lot easier.

    There's a quote from Einstein that reads, “Everything should be as simple as it can be, but not simpler.” You do an astounding job of this in your videos. I think so many people (Hi, I'm people - otherwise I wouldn't end up here haha) are struggling to grapple with existence and religion and spirituality and just all of it these days. We're all so inundated by every differing opinion, new philosophy, daily practice, moral accusation whether this way or that - it becomes exhausting. And it's all contradictory. Because you're right - we're supposed to give up our desires to achieve enlightenment, but wanting enlightenment is a desire in and of itself. Enlightenment has become the most convoluted, complicated, Catch-22 I've yet to know. Thank you for reminding us it's not. It's not sensational. It's not seeing sounds and hearing colors and making opportunities appear from your fingertips just because you believe it so. It's not supremely hard. It's just existing without having to think so consciously about it. And not minding that existence :) Thank you for making this video. I'm glad your brain works the way it does, and I hope you'll continue to share more of it with us <3

      Hey Rebecca! Thank you so much for this insightful and encouraging comment. I appreciate you and your words and the time it took you to share this. I agree. The problem is nowadays is that people wake up casually. Then they go and find a teacher to help understand their experience but end up going to a teacher that doesn’t really know how to handle someone who’s already woke up so they over complicate it. They teach people to wake up. But if that’s already happened to some degree what then? People need their experience simplified and to be grounded in that truth. This is where a lot of confusion happens! This happened with me. If it resonates with you be sure to check this out! :) www.skool.com/the-thought-dojo-9968/about

      Consciousness when it localises itself into what we call mind (the human experience) there is a part where it develops the experience of what it’s like to not know what it is in order to experience parts of everything. If we don’t have free will, we have no morality, no judgement. But every determinist I ever met is full of their own moral judgement, and act as if they have free will. What happens when someone commits a serious action against you that changes your life negatively? You would judge them. What of the probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics? The random nature of radioactive decay and Brownian motion? Let’s hope the quarks from the Big Bang have manufactured the right causal chains to facilitate a debate in these comments! I’ll end with: I do not know anything on this topic for certain. I have beliefs, as we all do. All theories regarding whether free will exists or not are unfalsifiable. I acknowledge that so I approach here with the humility that I cannot know, but I can believe.

    • @sajafendel
      @sajafendel 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In order for me to debate a topic serious with someone, we have to be an expert in both areas. I have dedicated my life to both areas. I will say this: If you really want to understand it, discover that which “has” free will. It is less about whether there IS free will and more about “what” or “who has it. There is no individual with free will, there is only infinite being that is willing everything. You are that infinite being. You have the ultimate free will.

      @farmersmith7057 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@sajafendel thanks for your response. So a nonduality view of free will? It seems “we” are stuck in our own point of consciousness though. “I” have human survival instincts, so am a self-interested point of consciousness. In order to survive, I must make decisions, or have them made for me (by the one consciousness) in the interests of myself. And yet, other points of consciousness (other people) often conflict with my needs, because they have their own self-interests (that the one consciousness is allowing?). In the end, it appears the one consciousness is conflicting with aspects (or points) of itself. For what purpose? It has full control, right? “We” (awareness) have no control, but we feel the consequences of actions made on our behalf (the one consciousness that we can’t comprehend because we’re so immersed in this particular point of consciousness). I respect your belief (and don’t be offended by “belief”, I only have beliefs too, I’m not any different to you in that respect). I just don’t see the purpose of one consciousness controlling everything. It makes sense that conscious awareness evolved over time. And with that, individual free will as part of the survival instinct. Conscious awareness is an expensive feature (energy-wise) of a human being. It is why we are unconscious for about a third or so of our life, and why we filter out so much information. However, high consciousness affords us free will to make decisions that can be the difference between surviving or dying.

    If we believed we’re separate from everything in existence, then we’d believe that we’re incapable of taking in and incorporating outside information in formulating our beliefs. But nobody believes that, hence your foundational premise is false. We are indeed part of the universe, but none of us is omniscient - any one of us can access only an absurdly tiny amount of that universal knowledge. This extreme filtering of knowledge is what makes each of us individual entities influenced by and part of, but not synonymous with the universe. So each of us retains free will. By analogy, the consciousness that creates and defines the universe is like a crowd watching a soccer game. The crowd tends to react as an individual entity to events on the field, yet any member, while undoubtedly part of the crowd, can nvertheless decide to leave the game. Another point: I don’t engage in criminal activity because I know, as an individual, that it is wrong. But unfortunately not everybody feels that way! If there is no free will, then nobody can be held accountable for their actions. Etc, etc.

    I I completely agree with you that enlightenment is often misunderstood and that the ultimate goal is actually to realize God, happiness, or true consciousness. But what do you make of the work of neuroscientists who have looked at the brains of 'enlightened' people and found that the region responsible for the sense of 'I' is completely shut down?

    • @sajafendel
      @sajafendel 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The region responsible for “I” has always been measured and located by those who believe themselves to be separated and limited. They believe that their consciousness (if they have ever even thought that far) is inside their head. Which means that if one was to track the region responsible for “I” it would probably be located inside the head of that’s what they believe themselves to be. Or, they believe that they are simply a collection of thoughts and feelings. The actual region responsible for the “I” doesn’t exist in the mind or brain because it is not inside the head neither can it even be located by the mind because it is truly the mind that exists inside “it”. Therefore to track the region for “I” should have always been impossible and has only ever been trackable in the first place because they based the experiments on that one fundamental mistake, assuming that the sense of “I” they were measuring is actually the real “I” that they are. In summary, Neuroscientists measure brains. Consciousness is not inside the brain and consciousness is the real “I”.

    Does Zen teach ‘let go of all desires’? Also could you elaborate on how the eternal ‘on switch’ can exist without ‘Off’ sometimes.

    • @sajafendel
      @sajafendel 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      What it means is let go of all desires that you expect to make you happy. If you desire something because you believe happiness is at the end then yes let go of all those desires. But don’t stop desires. You can’t stop desires. The Buddha didn’t stop desires. If he did we wouldn’t have zen in the first place. The eternal on switch can never turn off. There is no moment awareness is not aware. It can’t not be aware. Even in deep sleep there is the awareness of nothing. It is forever on, alive, and continues without end.

      @@sajafendelI think you’ve mentioned this before in one of your videos, but as a fellow overthinker, your videos condense the insane about of nuance/information that’s available in this community about these topics. It’s like you’ve been in my brain and can distill the unnecessarily complex ‘add-ons’ from what’s actually important, and your videos are fantastic reminders. You’ve mentioned that this is what you wanna do with your content, and yeah just wanna let you know-that’s exactly what you’re doing. I’m not sure if it’s from this video, but something I’ve been personally struggling with is marrying these two concepts in spirituality: desires are part of your human conditioning and should be renounced, or desires are a call to one’s life purpose (nihilism versus absurdism basically). I haven’t been able to answer this in my own life, and kinda had the thought ‘well if I don’t desire anything, why not just roll over and die? Chilling in wholeness is neat, but like, I could do this dead.’ I meant it humorously, but I think you said almost the same thing verbatim. I have yet to have anything addressing issues in spirituality exactly like this, and do it super simply. Bunch of pieces just fell into place for me. Also your videos helped me realize how much I’m accidentally forcing things in my attempts to let things go. Negative emotion pops up, I’m super identified and attached to letting it go properly-so my nervous system hangs onto it for dear life haha. Don’t have an answer for this one yet, but awareness is the first step to everything I guess. My biggest issue in controlling the external has been my attempts to control myself, if that makes sense. You’re helping me sort that out. Anyway, thank you for your wonderful content, I’ll be watching for as long as you’ll be posting haha.

    One advice i read in a book that helped me a lot is that if you’re overthinking and its hard to quiet your mind, you can start by observing your thoughts instead of interacting with them. You can be aware of them like you see a bird flying by, you don't have to engage with your thoughts, you dont have to energize them, you dont have to validate them even. In the end, you are not your thoughts anyway, and if you’re able to just observe your thoughts from this stance where you’re more curious and interested to know where they came from, eventually you’ll get your answers and be able to heal and move on, the thoughts would leave in an organic and natural way and then it just gets easier and easier to deal with. Another thing that helped me is laughing when i have negative thoughts, because it is actually funny when you understand you’re not the negative thoughts but having this lighthearted reaction does wonders.

    Wow man, I’ve been looking for content like this for such a long time. What a genius analogy you gave about consciousness & thoughts. It’s true - humans are waking up to endlessly create thoughts that is actually what causes them to suffer. If they eliminate thought, their reality in its pure naked form becomes apparent. And we’ve become so extremely conditioned in living so ignorantly dialled into thinking that we don’t realise happiness escapes as a result of how we USE ourselves. Our mind and how we direct it.

    • @sajafendel
      @sajafendel 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey my friend I'm really glad you like the video and the ideas behind it. Thank you for the support! It really means a lot on a new channel. I would agree we are endlessly creating thoughts, however I don't believe thinking is a problem, I believe it's only a problem when the thinking is on behalf of lack, fear or limitation. If you mean endless thoughts based on that then yes I completely agree! It is also useful to calm the actual thinking process to recognise what is "beneath" - which is not really beneath - but actually what thoughts are made of. If you take my wind analogy all the way, we see that if thoughts are a movement of consciousness, then thinking is in fact still Being, pure consciousness, and there is therefore no distraction from meditation. Anyway, Have a great day :)
