Maslow's "peak experiences" are another description of this peace. Inexplicable moments of joy and peace that arise in one's life. Standing in a snowy forest and feeling unexplained,, pure joy. Listening to a brook, filled with deep peace.

Yes. On two seperate occasions, 15-20 years ago, while driving to work down the same, long, straight, empty, very familiar country road, I was suddenly gifted with two peak experiences containing clear, brief, messages and the indescribable feeling of pure, unconditional Love rising up through my body and filling the area of my heart. The overwhelming emotion of Love caused me to pull off the road, where I sat and cried and cried. I know I will merge with that Love again when this physical experience has run it’s course ❤

wow, what a gift. I didt know Eckhart Tolle, fell into this video by chance and it totally resonated with me. He is like many Buddhist monks talking and how they laugh when they say the most obvious but profound wisdom, I love how its lighthearted and not to be taken so seriously. Life is hard enough. What he calls spaciousness, I have called my acorn, its that piece of myself that is my true nature. I am old now and can recognise in people and friends I have known for a long time whether they have found their acorn, whether they have stumbled upon it by chance or whether they are a searcher and realised it exists. Its a state of peace and contentment that exists, but life does interfere and that's not a bad thing, its just life. Loved his talk as he is so humble sharing it, so look forward to hearing more. Thank you Eckhart Tolle for your knowledge and sharing

I came back from vacation 3 weeks ago and was introduced to Eckhart by a neighbor. I’ve started to listen to him all night long, leaving his TH-cam videos on. Each night, I started with listening then his soothing voice, sense of humor and the most senses that his teaching made put me in a safe and relaxed mode enough to fall asleep, amazingly, after 20+ years of insomnia. Whenever I woke up in the middle of the night, I listened then fell back to asleep quickly etc. It’s like a miracle and I’m sooooo thankful for knowing him. The interesting I realized is his teaching metaphorically wake my mind up after all the years and at the same time actually put that now peaceful mind to sleep. How miraculous it is!!

Torture. I brought it on myself by taking prescribed drugs. Never ever ever worth it. I swear if they treat you for anxiety..it starts with a sweet relief and then you pay with your soul.cant sleep and you don't rest properly during the day either. It's a deal with the devil. Take no chemicals as I've suffered my whole life with mental illness I swear was a huge part caused by the medicines meant to treat the illnesses. What I needed was a natural feel good.art.music.walking.laufhing with people.loving people that's life. Even in the suffering it brings a huge appreciation for just the natural state of consciousness. Everything is based on our own pharmacology our body makes. Depression happens when either something sad happens or is happening that we have to suffer through, usually alone and that adds stress. It teaches strength. A gift that no Dr can give you is to be brave and have faith in the world's strange way of bringing things into your pasta after you've exhausted all your own natural ways of resolving it. I love eckhart tolle. It helps me greatly to get through life ,especially during the hour by hour sufferings with physical and emotional challenges.

Deprived of so many basical needs, sleep has turned out to be the real life to me. And last night I even was hugged and smiled at. Isn't it wonderful? This is why minimalism resonates so deeply with me, because of the opposite approach - I'm now trying to fix a problem not by adding something to it, but by reducing or removing something that obstructs and has no purpose. However, our minds seem to be wired to do so... to keep adding stuff, even when we're trying to meditate and be at peace.

Actually we allways are in the 4th state when we are immersed in something, very attentive, but without mind, e. g. When reading, listening, hiking, doing sports etc.
The person is not present. We don't realize it, because there is no vehicle to know. Only later, when we come out of that state, we realize it was there and that it was beautiful, relaxing, whole etc. It was so beautiful, because the I wasn't present.

When I was small my father said there is a tiny space between being awake and asleep and, if I could catch it and stay in that space, I would have a new experience.
It took a while but eventually I did catch it and found that I was free of my body and could explore.
I have never tried to find out exactly what was happening but I called it floating.
Maybe it was a dream that I could observe, I don't know, but I could go out and explore.
I remember one particularly beautiful experience where I was in a cave that was above ground, overlooking the sea.
A couple of large baskets were hanging inside near the mouth of the cave. They were empty so I don't know what they were for. It seemed as if I sat there for hours watching the sun dancing on the sea.
I never met anyone else when I was in this state and I haven't done it for many years now.
Eckhart has reminded me of that experience, I think I will start doing it again.

Mr. Tolle I've followed you around and read many books of yours for about 13 yrs. In this video about sleep I recognized something. And I believed it's the reason I've always understood your amazing teachings, and why they have helped me so much. But I recognized you as an INFJ, as I am. I then asked Bing Chat, and its reply was that you're an INFJ. Assuming that's true, of course. When I think back on your background stories about yourself, I now can see and understand very much about all that has led you to be the wonderful teacher you are.

Many many years of Catholic teaching enforced the idea that there is a state--outside of us--that must be achieved in order to be saved. This was counter to a peaceful existence and kept us in a state of continual, subconscious anxiety. Thank you for describing a new path.

Sleep is for recharging the human body to stay alive🌱✨during sleep our soul goes back to it's source (GOD)for pure LOVE ❤️ and pure light✨it goes for a kiss hug pure happiness from it's Creator🪄🫶🏻and then it comes back to the body and recharges it with that Unconditional LOVE🌈❤️✨🪄that's why it's very important to forgive others and our selves before sleep and thank for all good or bad and also ask and visuals ur desires or wishes before sleep in bed cos once you fall asleep your spirit will take this All priority to GOD❤️and it can manifest faster,so becareful what you watch read think before sleep🙏🏻🤲🏻🫶🏻once the spirit is with GOD it does t want to leave HIM🥰cos the feeling Soo beautiful but it usually does🥰Thank Eckhart Tolle for reminding US all how sleep is important🙏🏻🤲🏻🫶🏻 GOD Bless and Protect You All Humankind 🌱❤️✨

I have for years said I got insight that we “die” each night and are reborn each morning
This video and your comment now explains what I was trying to share with people haha

@@ritagordon9859 For me, it’s the other way around. When I fall sleep, I am waking up to my true self. Communing with God hopefully! When I awake on planet earth, I die a little inside. Those small morning deaths accumulate and eventually what hasn’t killed me, just became successful at it. Sleep? Some without faith believe it to be the big dirt nap. No need to set up the automatic coffee machine. You’ve punched snooze for the last time. 9 minutes more? Ok.

Sleep: Death's brother... the older I become, the more sleep is valued. The relief from this chaotic dream of living is immense - to vanish, especially to myself, is amazing and wonderful. The mystery of it is ineffable, yet so ordinary. 💐

I’ve only experienced this a handful of times in my life, spontaneously. At first I felt extreme peace unlike anything I’ve felt before, then wonder, then fear because it felt so alien to me. I never knew what it was called until now, though…and now that I know it is not something to be feared, maybe the next time it happens, I can extend it. Thanks, Eckhart.

Eckhart has a way of making us look at something that seems ordinary and making it thought provoking. I sleep very very well, but have been worried lately about needing less and less of it. Also, I have worried a bit about the dreams I have that are so unusual there is nothing in the physical realm that can relate....only the feeling of it is tangible. They seriously contrast to normal ones I have in the same night.

I feel like the universe is giving you more subliminal messages whether you get it or not, its tapping you on the "shoulder". I have these very regularly & ask myself what am i supposed to learn from this? I treasure my relationship with Source & am open for the lessons.
