@@tonyzamberlin A plethora of ways, and most importantly I was less inclined to snap into extreme emotions. My emotional highs and lows were extreme and quick, but also exhausting. As I practiced and used and even simply read Letting Go I began to even out. I also have lived my life constantly thinking about what's next, what do I want, what should I do rather than what am I doing, what do I feel, what do my senses pick up in this moment. After a while of Letting Go I came out of my head more and more and back into the present moment.

LOL. Yeah using American Psychology tricks in the white-collar corporate world is the hidden loop hole. Another way to hide racist and enforced White European Colonial power everywhere. Ha ha. The injustice against ethic men and our future and current descendants at some point becomes intolerable. Separate and conquer illegal tricks know as getting ethnic women to not follow their own traditions and culture and follow the White way. Wow. No wonder most the world hate US. White US friends with only White countries.

i just did this and released an emotional blockage of sadness that manifested as a dull pain in my forehead for years, as i turned my awareness inside and asked myself what emotion is this immediately i got back sadness and i just let myself feel it bring it up to the surface and allowed myself to release it by whatever means it required, i ended up letting tears run down my face and letting my face make sad expressions (this was all done involuntarily) i now feel soooo good and lighter and my forehead has released so much pressure, i did this twice in a row and im going to continue to release all emotional blockages that i have stored in my body.

I wouldn't label emotions as "toxic" - emotions are just that, emotions. Meditation has helped me become aware of this, however, as a soul in a human body, I also recognize that emotions are part of this human journey too - it's not my job to get rid of them, just notice them as they arise and pass away.

Thank you for the example. I have been doing versions of letting it go. This was easy to follow and it opened up about 20 emotions all at once. And I didn’t try to alter them at all. They seemed to calm down quickly when I could just let them be!!!! The mind disconnected easier than I thought it would. - that’s funny - pun intended. Thank you for this share.

I feel so much love after doing this exercise with you Sunny . I’ve read Letting Go by David Hawkins numerous times . Enough to recognize that I’ve been living in the state of apathy for a long time . In apathy, a certain heaviness, paired with an immense need for help arises that is incredibly difficult to shake . I say all this to say , this video , for some reason , above the others I’ve watched , is indescribably helpful . I’m grateful for your channel , for your intention to begin making these videos , the tone of your voice , the compassionate way you seem to look into the camera , just all of it . I feel like you just energetically held my hand through some shit I never thought I could get through . I don’t know if it’s enough to just say ‘Thank you’, but really it’s all I have . I feel David hawkins has done a great service to human kind by detailing the procedure to "Letting Go" which indeed is how exactly you are describing in this video. The one thing that i wanted to mention is don't put a time limit on how long will this feeling (emotion) carry on in the body before being released .Differrent emotions have different intensity. Some emotions are from past hurt are not let go in one attempt. Don't just stress on it .Residual portion of the emotion will naturally be triggered again at other time.

This is a great teaching but do not be fooled into thinking this is the end. Imagine that you can stay in this state of consciousness for the rest of your life. Enter true awareness this teaching is amazing and it explains lots of what other teachers are trying to show the world. The power of now and being awakened to the self is so freeing and this teaching is just a glimpse of what is possible. Continue with this practice and try to do it throughout your day and if you are able to hold this state even in the midst of human interaction you will see major changes in how you perceive the world.

What really made the letting go technique click for me was when I've realized that I cannot deal with emotional pain. I just couldn't feel it because I was running away instantly from the feeling. I acted out, went for a run, buried myself in work, anything just to avoid feeling the pain. Until life forced me into a situation where I had no choice but to feel the pain and let go of trying to protect myself in any way. It was hard at first but the the realization came that pain heals by being felt. The less I protected myself from the pain the less painful it was.
Great video by the way, really helpful guidance!

One thing this video helped me realise that I have struggled with, is that "Letting go" is not a step in a practice or an action that you take. It's the result of the practice. I often found myself trying too hard to let go or telling myself "okay now let go".. then looking back like "did I let go properly?" haha If it was that simple it wouldn't need a book like Hawkin's written.
So my reflections are that you may not let go fully first time around when you practice, but with each practice you're with the emotion you will start to feel your strength of letting go.. grow.
Keen to hear others thoughts on this..

this is a top quality talk, I just discovered this video and I can't believe I didn't see it earlier, this is really good - thank you. I did this emotional awareness exercise by mistake. I had countless stomach wrenching feelings of doom from a heartbreak (my emotions came in waves by the 3rd/4th week). I was sitting in my car and I was so rock bottom that I just decided to sit with it and felt the knots in my stomach and paid great attention to my chest tightening/burning and fully felt the intense head/face flushes and just depressingly thought to myself 'what is the worst thing that can happen right now if I just feel this painful emotion (i.e. stomach twists, chest tightening) without reacting' - all I did was notice what was happening to me physically and let myself experience it with my full attention to what was happening. It was a very unpleasant 1-2mins but I just sat with it as I was tired of feeling this way as it was now my third heartbreak and I had lost hope in myself. I felt good the next day and I didn't really have any idea why until I strangely see videos like this one on TH-cam and I realise what I actually did. When I was doing it, it was because I had lost hope, but really I was actually doing something... It truly is just this - feel it fully, it will be painful but just do it and the emotion will be released, like a bad shit.

Well , I have learnt , from Professor Mark Williams and David Hawkins
Don't push these thoughts away. Welcome these thoughts as Guests.

I saw this video, first time, on 11th March 2022.
I am a smoker since 2001. About a decade or so ago I realised that when ever I am tensed a buring sensation happens, right under my chest. This has grown ever since. Now the situation is that I consume 6-7 sachets of antacids a day. Or some antacid course of pills to stay normal. Now when I am not stressed also or not thinking of something critical this chest burn starts. I have to take an antacid eventually.
Since I saw this video on 11th March 2022 I have not consumed a single gram of any antacid. Heart burn stopped.
I drank fresh fruit juice after so many years, nothing happend.
Every time I focus on the feeling the subject subsides. Then it starts becoming less and less potent and eventually meaning less and worthless to waste time upon. Just focusing on what's going inside of me 90% times makes me burp 😀😀. Then the subject seems fading...fading....faded and gone.
My ego is my problem area. This stupid 3 letter word controlles me (controlled me).

I really have to get into the habit of doing this instead continuously trying to "fix" myself........................ Thank you so much for sharing this video my friend. PS. And thank you for repeating the steps throughout the video, this was really helpful.

@@selfinquiryschool Hi Sunny, I have been doing this for 24 hours now, and what a difference. I feel a weight has been lifted from my mind, and I am now actively trying to catch negative feelings when they arise, trying to get ahead of the other part of me that wants to push them down, it is kind of fun LOL ...................................... Thank you so much my friend, this video has helped me so much, and I have subscribed and will work with the others you have up . Blessings.

Absolutely working and helping technique. Emotions literally ingraved into our bodies. And yes, when concentrating and living them, they are dissolving.
This video is priceless. Took me years to figure it out by myself.
Wishing i was having this info earlier.
But thanks a lot. Still in process and much happier.

This is a great video and I would like to share how it helped me and how I use it. I read the book, but this video was really clarifyng. This is what I do: I carry a little booknote with me and when I have a "bad" emotion I write it down. I dont label it. So the notebook goes like this: "I am waiting for the bus and think about the conversation I am going to have with Alex". Many notes are like this. When I am at home, in the evening, I find a quiet place, sit down breath easily and after a few moments I open my little notebook. So I read the first entry: "I am waiting for the bus and think about the conversation I am going to have with Alex". I can recreate the moment quite easily. The context "waiting for the bus" is helpful. So, the feeling, the sensation, the emotion comes again. At the begining of my practices I used to "label" the feeling: "scare", "anger", etc... But now I dont care about the "name" of the sensation. I may even not being able to label it correctly. And I think it doesnt help, all of the contrary. So, without the label I "feel" the sentation in my body. Other thing that I noticed is that I dont have to prejudge the location of the sensation. No name, no label, no place pre established. I have felt some sensation of "anger" (if you want to label it) in my chest, and some sensation of "anger" in my throat. Is it the same anger? I dont know and dont care. I dont know why and I don really care. When I am aware of the sensation, say, in my throat, I stay focused on that sensation "wishing" I can have more of it. I have the feeling that the more I feel the more I drain of it. After of few moments the sensation fades away. Open my eyes, look at my little notebook, tick off the first entry. Go to the second entry, repeat the process. It doesnt take time. The feeling of lightness I have won is superb. I hope this is helpful for someone else. And again, thank you for a great video.

Nice to hear this and good idea to write down what happened. I'll take that with me. For the rest I do the same and the sensation just witters away. I go from heavy breathing to laugh and smile in the end.

Love your videos and this concept - I agree with other poster -this is SO important -the vital missing link in LOA teachings -which I love but always feel we do need to address the big really upsetting emotions somehow -esp those from childhood, before we can start successful re-focusing on the positives....SO glad to have discovered your techniques -simple and quite genius -started trying them straight away -with knock-on results for some long-carried horrendous stuff -THANK YOU SUNNY & NAMASTE!!

5:22 An issue is the language usage when discussing techniques. Because when saying you’re feeling angry, sad etc when a more appropriate word usage would be ”when anger, sadness etc arises within the mind” thst way you dont instantly become identified with the thoughts or emotions but rather view them as phenomena.

Thanks for walking me through this. I liked many parts of his book but wondered what it looks like on a daily basis. My first try at doing this with your video, I’d assumed I could bring up the annoyance I felt this morning. Instead a great sadness came up. I observed where in my body, eyes, mouth corners, choking throat and breathed into them and got a nice result. Thank you!

After re-reading the sub-chapter on the Mechanism of Letting Go I wanted some additional explanation, and this was just excellent. Thanks a lot, what an insanely powerful tool this is. I will re-read the book a couple of times for sure and continue to practice it.
