Even before becoming a Shifter, Falco acted in the same selfless way, trying desperately to save Gabi from becoming a Shifter, even if it shortened his own life.
I really like porco and how he went apeshit whenever he shifted into titan form. I admit i was more hype to see him fight at times than eren. Wish we got more of him but he went in a badass way honestly.
I did love that he fought like a migit angry about his height ready to take on the whole bar. But that's probably due to him training to inherit the Armour titan which is the slowest only to inherit the jaw titan which is the fastest.
I had the same thoughts!! Somehow porco's emotional state made his fights so interesting to watch, even when he was on the losing end, his selflessness + reckless passion makes it hard not to root for him.

I absolutely adore Porco and whilst I’m sad he died I’m glad he got one of the best, perfect and awesome deaths. He looked hot in his final moments too 😌
Porco for me was perfect solely because out of the titan shifters of Marley, he's the only one with a realistic understanding of the ROLE the Armored Titan truly has within the ranks. He knew that the easily traumatized and easy to bully Reiner wouldn't be able to fully commit under pressure. Especially after seeing as he goes back to Marley, not only does he go through this entire War Veteran arc and hinging on suicide, he no longer has Berthold there to keep him in check, Porco, the HyperOmegaChad he is literally calls Reiner out for being weak. Him being the only one who can see Reiner for the failure he is is just... *chef's kiss*
Porco got the closure he had been searching for all this time and was happy with whatever outcome came later on as long as he knew he was fit for what he had prepared for his entire life
I think it was badass how porco chose his own demise knowing he proved himself more capable then reiner. It was almost as if he said: welp this is your loaz before being eaten and i love that. He went out with badassery and sass😂
At least Falco learnt from the mistake of Santa Titan: when a shifter willingly sacrifices himself to save his peer by voluntarily going into your mouth, you need to CHEW YOUR LUNCH.
Kind of upset that he died, I liked his character design and I think he was also competent. How could he be out of energy? I feel like he was in his prime.
Because using the titan forms take a lot of energy just to form. Then the energy you have to use when fighting. Now add on healing for that is required to repair the titan is going to take its toll. He took a lot of hits. Then Eren straight up beat his titan into the ground which not only hurt the titan but destroyed him inside. I mean half his head was straight crushed and his right side. So I’m assuming near death injuries take even more energy to heal compared to limbs or even minor injuries. That how I view it. Only reason Zeke survived is because of Ymir and the other titan giving him energy. If not for that dude would have died. I like him too and always wondered how strong he’d be if he had gotten the armor titan instead.
Jaw is not really the most durable or the most enduring unlike armored or cart. Eren got like two really hard punches on him and stabbed him with warhammer power so I think it makes sense
I'd like to point out a slight nitpicky flaw in your comparison: the Jaws Titan is considered more important and powerful than the Armor because of it's speed and versatility (that's why Marcel who was the top of their class got the Jaws and team leader position). So Porco in the end got the more important role except Reiner became default leader due to experience (aside from ofc Zeke who was the leader overall due to his intelligence)
Imo Porco didnt make the best use of the Jaw titan and was outclassed tactically for his irrationality on multiple occasions. Eren figured out his strengths and weaknesses quickly and never really considered him as a threat. And tbh I'm surprised Porco survived enough to be eaten after the bashing the Jaw got to it's nape.
In terms of time they HELD it yeah you can say they didnt last long, Ymir comes in number one on that matter. However in terms of USAGE( how often it was use and who used its POWER for the longest and used it the best) Then Porco is number one and if his character lasted a bit longer he probably wouldve been regarded as the best Jaws even over ymir.
One additional reason I think that Porco had to say he was, in the end, leagues above Reiner is that he had the strength to lay down his life for the cause. Reiner was always talking about how he would lay his life down for Marley, but when he came back from Paradis, his will to fight was gone and he attempted to commit suicide several times. When called upon to fight, he went unwillingly, and often got bested because of it, having to be saved by others several times. When Porco realized his strength was basically done, and he had nothing else to do in that battlefield, he decided that the honourable thing to do was to lay down his life and pass the titan to the next user, saving his friend's brother in the process. In Porco's perspective, Reiner was being more of a nuisance and would be of more use if he just passed the titan on, and he had the strength to make that decision
I also see it as a story of people trying to do the best with what they have. Leading to very similar stories being told because they're human stories.
Also shoutout to the music during the scene, it's fucking perfect. Even without all the meaning behind it the scene is beautifully done, actually. Reiner giving up and being ready to die with the epic af music in the background, then Gabi crying watching Falco as a Titan about to inherit the Armored Titan, then the music changing to guitar then piano as Porco enters the scene... Just fucking perfect man, from beginning to end
Porco wasnt in the story for long but he was pretty badass. Him coming to terms with Marcel's death and no longer blaming Reiner was chef's kiss. It is fairly subtle because we always see Porco hating Reiner, he genuinely cared for his compatriots. Like Marcel and Ymir before him, he chose to sacrifice himself for the wellbeing of his comrades. It's a full circle and he truly embodied what it meant to be the shield of Marley (as awful as Marley was) And for that tinge of irony, as incredible as Porco was as a Jaw Titan, he failed to safeguard Liberio and failed to stop Eren and Zeke's plans. Even if he were to swap places with the late bloomer Reiner as the armored titan, they probably would have still failed. Porco is defined by comraderie just like Reiner was after losing Marcel, there is no telling how Porco would have dealt with killing people he trained with-perhaps he would have been more susceptible to mental illness. Being a badass didnt stop Titan Shifters from being seriously injured over the series, so even his combat ability was a debatable factor. Reiner led Annie and Bert to what was essentially an impossible mission. Even if Porco technically was the better choice, I dont think the kids had the support or intel to ever succeed regardless of who went. I really loved his standoffish nature, impressive strength, and rivalry. He couldnt have had a better send off. Shame that the time skip was a fairly short story because the Marleyan crew were all great characters.
Porcos death was up there with eren getting eaten for the first time. Eren looked at Armin as a little brother growing up and threw himself in a titans moth to save Armin. Porco was hardcore until the end.
You've done a great job highlighting why his character arc is so strong, but you've missed out on the opportunity to note even more interesting connections worth exploring, such as his thematic parallel with also Eren and Zeke as "two brothers" revealing itself in this episode too, and what made him only now suddenly able to see the memories of his brother.
I actually want to bring up Porco’s role during the raid on Marley earlier that season. It’s cause he got headstrong that Zeke “got taken down” why Pieck was able to be fired at with thunder spears, why Eren was able to steal the Warhammer. The man actively fucked up a whole lot more than Reiner ever did on Paradis. I like thinking about that because it ultimately undermines him saying he knew he was better than Reiner. Also here is a good place for me to place this secret, when I first watched season 4 I thought Porco, Colt, and Falco along with Marcel were all brothers instead of 2 sets of duo bros.
Maybe I see too much into this, but Porco is absolutely amazing. I mean as I see it, when they were children they didn't like each other, but as adults it looks like they're making a good team. He and Reiner would never admit it, but in the end they became friends. Even if it seems as Porco despises Reiner, he always runs to save him and I don't think it's because they're both warriors. They care for each other and when the time came, Porco knew he will die eventually, but he had a chance to help Falco, to respect his Marcel's sacrifice and (probably the most important part) to save Reiner - his friend - who shouldn't even be in this situation (of course this is true for all the warriors, but still). But obviously he'd never admit that Reiner is important to him, so he mocks him in the and but for all my reasons, Porco is kind of an underrated hero in my eyes. But again, maybe I just misunderstand this whole thing.
It's interesting though how often Porco also got his ass beat when he went up against Eren. Every opportunity he had to prove himself, he squandered it by losing his head and rushing in, which ended up with the death of Lara Tybur and later himself. Eren beating Reiner constantly is a difference in martial skill - most of the time he puts up a very good fight, but Eren is simply better - but Eren beating Porco was because Porco kept rushing in without thinking. He relied too heavily on speed and slashing when he should have been taking notes from Pieck and her patience. Reiner was actually a better fit because he was more calculated, to an extent, and really only lost the plot when he went too far into deep cover that he couldn't tell what version of himself was the real one - which is understandable for a sixteen year old kid. Whilst Porco was an interesting character, I'm just so glad that the power of the Armoured did not go to him.
I’d also like to add that in both the first fights Eren and Reiner were relatively evenly matched, but the scouts help really pushed him over the top. For example Mikasa slashing his tendons in the first fight preventing him from any chance of escape.
I agree. I think that reiner in much aspects is just better than porco.. Porco's emotions are a consequence of his jealousy towards reiner. Talking about eren and reiner's fights, yeah, eren has better skills and more will to fight, but he's got a lot of plot armor, like when reiner knocked him out with a single punch, he could just rush on him and kidnap him easily, instead of letting him recover everytime.. Reiner is smart but not fight wise, if he was at least a little better fighter eren would've died in season 2
He literally has the mindset needed, if he had adequate backup on marley he had caught Eren lacking but Levi had came in with the save cutting his jaw. Could chalk it up to rushing but can also look at it from the point that his entire squad was Compromised inside & out
Entering AOT was like everyone is dying left and right like flies and like they don't matter at all. Finishing AOT is realizing every death had a meaning.
I’m glad Porco died the way he did, cause after seeing how brutalized he would get in every fighting interaction, I would’ve thought his death was gonna be muchhh more weak then this. Dude was a real one.
Porco >gets bodied by eren everytime they meet Reiner> saves porco and even manages to kidnap eren once Porco> I'm better than you and always have been
Galliard is the only titan shifter from marley who actually cares and has the motive to take the founding coz no matter how he gets beat up by eren he still manages to get up and tries to fight . What an absolute chad
MindBlown! I though the title "two brothers" meant the brother EREN and ZEKE, but now i think they meant 2 sets of brothers: Falco x Colt and Marcel x Porco
I think a critical point you missed was that Porco was wearing a Wings of Freedom jacket before being killed. My analysis could be off but to me, it symbolized where he stood at the end of his life - he was an Eldian at the end of the day and finally realized the horrible world of titans that his brother had tried to protect him from (i.e. becoming nothing more than a weapon, still being considered a second class citizen, etc.).
I have seen this kind of hatred! Few years ago! When we're playing game together! He and his friend play with me ! He always scolded him and never let him have a chance to win ! he even rather let me killed him than his friend ! I can see people are strange sometime!
Great video however why does everyone have to put something to do with spoilers in the thumb nail like anyone could scroll down and get instantly spoiled because of the big bold words that say DEATH lmfao
I always thought the Two Brothers episode meant all the three two brother duos. 1. Porco and Marcel: Porco finally knew that he was always better than Riener and Marcel was just protecting him. 2. Colt and Falco: Colt just wanted to find his brother and now protect him by asking Zeke to not scream. He ultimately died telling Falco that he's here for him. 3. Zeke and Eren: Zeke says to Colt "only do I know the feelings one has for their brother". Zeke has shown to love Eren and a desire to save him even after knowing about him as an adult. And He and Eren finally made contact.
Personally for me at the time I wasn't that affected by Porcos death I shed a few tears but I always do that (I'm a total crybaby) but now its hit way harder and I've definitely grown to love him
Honestly the galliard brother's were biggest plots in reiner's story since marcel sacrificed his life for reiner and it drove reiner into the path of breaching the wall/being apart of the scouts. And for porco he saved reiner's life by sacrificing himself so reiner can save humanity.
And people are calling this a honorable death lmao Just him talking about how he's better than reiner when he got his ass handed to him badly every time he fought. At least reiner actually did something...
At least porco might be able to see his brother again and also love how porco get litterly bullied in the Marley attack when he litterly gets bullied by eren
I liked Pork the whole time. I understand why others didn't. But he was one of my more favorite characters. Has an actual personality, albeit simple. Shows us how the Jaws should actually be used and makes it cool. Dies brutally mocking Riener. Whats not to love? The only thing I've ever not liked was the out of place monotone performance by the Japanese voice actor when Eren steals the Warhammer. "NooooOoo, like don't...n stuff. I guess". Pork, hes literally ending the world using you, maybe take it more seriously...His death though, loved it.
Porco's death basically like: P: "Hey Reiner, you think you can die this fast" R: "Just Let Me Die Porco" P: "F you not gonna happen" *Porco gets eaten*
Porcos death also is gonna be a plotpoint in the future, as the jaw will be crucial in the end, I think Falco will be the one who'll eat eren as falco remembered himself as flying in the air, Maybe that's something that happens in the future and Falco will be the peacemaker too

I didn’t mind porcos character, I just wish there would’ve been a bit more to him tho.
AOT is all about breaking cycles, which is awesome
I also see it as a story of people trying to do the best with what they have. Leading to very similar stories being told because they're human stories.
I never truly understood porcos character until this video, it decribes his character so well and how his death played out, amazing job on the video
Porco was actually one of my favorite characters 😭 its sad that there are so many people who hate on him
The people who hate him are brainless
@@plaidy.easily the best new season 4 character
Shame that neither galliard brother survived
I like that porco still almost respected riener but more as a frenemy than as a soldier and that he seemed to enjoy the idea of saving riener
This man is one of the 🐐 imo. I loved him since the first second we get introduced to him.
I already thought his death was amazing. But you just gave me more reasons to love it, as I didn't initially remember all the context.
Yes! And RIP Porco
It's a full circle and he truly embodied what it meant to be the shield of Marley (as awful as Marley was)
And for that tinge of irony, as incredible as Porco was as a Jaw Titan, he failed to safeguard Liberio and failed to stop Eren and Zeke's plans.
Great analysis 👍 as always.
Much appreciated
Without Porco, we couldn't hear Ohayo Pokko from Pieck san
As a galliard brothers enjoyer
I thank you 🤝
I fucking hate when someone says spoilers in the name of the video on any platform.. like come one.. use your brain
The fact is that Porco saved both reiner and falco make me cry 😭.R.I.P Porco
SeaTactics I can’t lie you’re a real g 👊
Sorry for eventual mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker
@@calebpittman2345 she did that after eren fight almost the whole fight so still eren did it alone.
He literally has the mindset needed, if he had adequate backup on marley he had caught Eren lacking but Levi had came in with the save cutting his jaw. Could chalk it up to rushing but can also look at it from the point that his entire squad was Compromised inside & out
Well said 🙏

New video idea: Why this video is a perfect spoiler
When you dont care about spoilers and put them in a thumbmail good job !
Porcos death makes it so that Pieck is single, so I'm glad he took one for the team
They were a thing?
@@bitch8205 it’s possible that porco had feelings for pieck but we did not get enough screen time to see if that was true
No?
They literally had 0 chemistry. They were friends.
Love the vid bro my only tip would be to pick a better song in the background it doesn’t match the vibe of the video
He died saying "hey you know what at least I dead knowing that I'm better than you Reiner" like bruh
Entering AOT was like everyone is dying left and right like flies and like they don't matter at all.
Finishing AOT is realizing every death had a meaning.
When porco died he didn't have an eldian armband he instead had the symbol of "wings of freedom"
I wish he had a lightsaber.. Could have made a great addition to my collection...
This video should’ve been titled
Attack On Titan: Brotherhood
Every titan has a theme or personality the jaw sacrifices the armor can’t die or keeps being brought back attack titan doesn’t listen etc.
I’m glad Porco died the way he did, cause after seeing how brutalized he would get in every fighting interaction, I would’ve thought his death was gonna be muchhh more weak then this. Dude was a real one.
Porco >gets bodied by eren everytime they meet
Reiner> saves porco and even manages to kidnap eren once
Porco> I'm better than you and always have been
"might have killed your ...dog" * lighting flashes*
Galliard is the only titan shifter from marley who actually cares and has the motive to take the founding coz no matter how he gets beat up by eren he still manages to get up and tries to fight . What an absolute chad
Porco actually stars in my favourite scene in AoT p, the one where the scouts are attacking him in his Titan and he’s the one who’s scared
MindBlown! I though the title "two brothers" meant the brother EREN and ZEKE, but now i think they meant 2 sets of brothers: Falco x Colt and Marcel x Porco
damn, did not expect to see spoilers in my feed today.
"This guy, who might have also killed your dog" bruh lmao
I think a critical point you missed was that Porco was wearing a Wings of Freedom jacket before being killed. My analysis could be off but to me, it symbolized where he stood at the end of his life - he was an Eldian at the end of the day and finally realized the horrible world of titans that his brother had tried to protect him from (i.e. becoming nothing more than a weapon, still being considered a second class citizen, etc.).
i got spoiled... but i love it!! Nice video seatactics!! ♥♥
Man talking about bad ass deaths, you can never leave out ERWIN from the list
Liked this video just for being about Porco. Thank you for appreciating him!
Also interesting that Marcel, Ymir, Porco. The last 3 Jaw titans before Falco all sacrificed themselves for another.
I have seen this kind of hatred! Few years ago! When we're playing game together! He and his friend play with me ! He always scolded him and never let him have a chance to win ! he even rather let me killed him than his friend ! I can see people are strange sometime!
why put spoilers in the title mann i was just looking for the intro
Great video however why does everyone have to put something to do with spoilers in the thumb nail like anyone could scroll down and get instantly spoiled because of the big bold words that say DEATH lmfao
I just remember that the jaw Titan was birch slaped by Eren every time it was on screan
Tbh I was so hyped for his death. I hated his character so much but he was really well written so I still respect his character.
This man got his a*s beat every encounter though. Lol
True but what's the coolest thing about him?
He's a half guy like Marco and also, Colt is a roasted beef like Armin 😌
Personally for me at the time I wasn't that affected by Porcos death I shed a few tears but I always do that (I'm a total crybaby) but now its hit way harder and I've definitely grown to love him
Honestly the galliard brother's were biggest plots in reiner's story since marcel sacrificed his life for reiner and it drove reiner into the path of breaching the wall/being apart of the scouts. And for porco he saved reiner's life by sacrificing himself so reiner can save humanity.
Porco kept taking L’s on L’s lmao
And people are calling this a honorable death lmao
Just him talking about how he's better than reiner when he got his ass handed to him badly every time he fought. At least reiner actually did something...
Brother eat brother, oh well sometimes big brother had to take care his younger brother.
I don't get how can you praise his personality, it's just bad
@@Ray-ko You don't need to be a moral character or nice character, to be a good character. And not everyone needs to agree with you....
@@Ray-ko th-cam.com/video/aJX4ytfqw6k/w-d-xo.html prozd sums up every comment you make.
@@noakinn Ohhhhh!
😂
Did u intentionally wrote pork?
Porco's death basically like:
P: "Hey Reiner, you think you can die this fast"
R: "Just Let Me Die Porco"
P: "F you not gonna happen"
*Porco gets eaten*
bruh yall gotta stop putting spoilers in the titles i get this shit in my recommended for no reason 😐
He was such an awesome character tbh; his death was crazy but very honorable!
When i liked the amount changed for8.4k to 8.5k
sheeeeeeeeeeesh here before 1000 people
In just as amazed as you, it's crazy.
i liked the thematic side to it but it felt preventable which took some of the kick out as it seemed hed just given up
Porcos death also is gonna be a plotpoint in the future, as the jaw will be crucial in the end, I think Falco will be the one who'll eat eren as falco remembered himself as flying in the air, Maybe that's something that happens in the future and Falco will be the peacemaker too
