Hey everyone todays video is a little bit different than normal instead of abandoned mansions or crazy mansions this video is all about celebrities that still after making millions of dollars continue to love in a very modest home. These celebrities include the top a-listers who you would never think live in a Rv or small house or apartment! Please Obama currently has a DC home worth $8.1 mil, $15 mil Martha’s Vineyard and Hawaii $8.7 mil before renovations just to name a few. $ 31.9 mil for a former president don’t seem modest by any means.

I think you accidently brought out a point on the Obamas. Right before becoming President, he lived in a modest home in Chicago, and a modest apartment in DC, but now they live in more than $30 million worth of homes. Where did the money come from?

Y’all are delusional if you think these homes are “modest”! We bought our home 30 years ago for $52,500. It is now worth $200,000. It is a modest 4 bedroom, 2 bath home!

Same or a house with a pool cause then that means I have to get a pool person cause I’m not dealing with snakes and I don’t want to get lost in my own house.

For obviously they buy mansion with tons of room if they keep hosting parties. If you are rather private and love close family gathering, it make sense to buy decent- size home.

Jennifer Lawrence's house is very modest by Hollywood standards. It is not too big or too showy. It looks like a very nice middle class home.
A lot of stars are buying homes in the 1200 to 1900 sq. ft. range with no more than four bedrooms.

Dimebag Darrell and his brother Vinnie both still lived their mom in the house they grew up in all the way up to having the first ever #1 Billboard Heavy Metal Debut. They toured the world and made millions all along sleeping in the room they did from grade school to their late 20s. Yeah they went and bought nice houses both less than a mile from Mama. They were touring the world playing with their hero’s KISS and Black Sabbath, selling milions of records, having instrument company make signature instruments with their names on them, being on several magazine cover worldwide. etc etc
The rich and famous have business managers who may invest with any number of contractors etc. It is also common to buy property for assistants and family to use, often near the "main" residence.

The picture you showed was one of Dolly Pardon's former home. I first drove in front of her present home about 40 years ago and there's much more than 3 acres in the front yard.
Modest or not, I love Robert Pattison's home, I also love to read and would love that little library, plus I would fill it up with kids books for my niece and nephews as well. Plus, I really love that kitchen, it's so cozy.
In Australia a 3 bedroom standard house in not a nice suburb is approx 880k-1m. Which is approx 1.7m US and 2m UK. Australia is crazy expensive atm. Anything over 4 bedrooms is millions.
My dad brought his house in 2015 for 380k. Approx 700k US, UK. now valued at 1.4 million. Which is good for him i guess.

I think part of the reason famous people buy bigger houses with land, is security. A small bungalow maybe modest, but it's also very vulnerable.
I have to respectfully disagree! So many times i hear about stalkers/burglers getting into rich peoples homes unawares to all because the house is so big. They can easily hide, too, and lie in wait (JonBennet Ramsay case theory). I could never live in a home where i wouldn't be able to know whats happening in it, or who is in it. Better for defence and offense to have control over your own turf. Someone wants to try to enter, they are going to meet their Maker. Small, but well built for the win. But i get how bigger can feel more secure for some. 💖🙏🕊

In California, 1 million is a modest home. My Childhood home in Anaheim, CA. WAS $23,500 in 1970. Is now 900k currently....
None of these people live in these homes anymore or they are just one of many homes they have. Ed Begley Jr and his wife live in a truly modest home that they've owned for decades.
In the meantime I am THINKING about condo's in the 250-350 K range here in MA. Lol.

I would. Property taxes and mortgage payments on homes that cost millions is a waste. Keep it simple. You don't know how long that good income will last.
My question is how a president can have so many millions on that salary...
Because they write books and are paid for speaches and public appearances and also from investments.
As well ad Netflix show, Social Media channels, etc. What I admire is that the bulk of his fortune he and his wife earned was primarily made after he left office unlike other politicians.

It depends where you live. Where I live it would fetch a small condo, I bedroom or even just a studio, about 800 square feet or less.
Here that would buy a nice 2 bedroom condo.

As long as I think it’s cute than I don’t care where I get it. Not into labels. I wouldn’t want a mansion, it would feel like a museum and I wouldn’t use half the rooms in it.

Ok most of these celebrities you are talking about don't live there anymore. Some have other homes in different places so don't think they should be in this list. And most of us can't pay the prices you stated so don't know if they really should be in this list either.

Even if I had the mega bucks I would still live in a smallish home. On land but small house :) I see some celebs in their homes and they are echoe'y and cold.
