@TheDayDreamingOwl What an ignorant comment. To state that in a country with 333 million people, no one lives modestly is the height of reverse snobbery.
Please Obama currently has a DC home worth $8.1 mil, $15 mil Martha’s Vineyard and Hawaii $8.7 mil before renovations just to name a few. $ 31.9 mil for a former president don’t seem modest by any means.
I think you accidently brought out a point on the Obamas. Right before becoming President, he lived in a modest home in Chicago, and a modest apartment in DC, but now they live in more than $30 million worth of homes. Where did the money come from?
@@vickielane7387he paid his taxes. They made him show everyone. What in the sam hell are you talking about? Are you referring to the tax breaks he got...thanks to Obama's law implemented while he was in office for 8 years? Get your facts straight before you send out idiotic statements you jackoff

Modest or not, I love Robert Pattison's home, I also love to read and would love that little library, plus I would fill it up with kids books for my niece and nephews as well. Plus, I really love that kitchen, it's so cozy.
Jennifer Lawrence's house is very modest by Hollywood standards. It is not too big or too showy. It looks like a very nice middle class home. A lot of stars are buying homes in the 1200 to 1900 sq. ft. range with no more than four bedrooms.
The rich and famous have business managers who may invest with any number of contractors etc. It is also common to buy property for assistants and family to use, often near the "main" residence.
The picture you showed was one of Dolly Pardon's former home. I first drove in front of her present home about 40 years ago and there's much more than 3 acres in the front yard.
Dimebag Darrell and his brother Vinnie both still lived their mom in the house they grew up in all the way up to having the first ever #1 Billboard Heavy Metal Debut. They toured the world and made millions all along sleeping in the room they did from grade school to their late 20s. Yeah they went and bought nice houses both less than a mile from Mama. They were touring the world playing with their hero’s KISS and Black Sabbath, selling milions of records, having instrument company make signature instruments with their names on them, being on several magazine cover worldwide. etc etc
In Australia a 3 bedroom standard house in not a nice suburb is approx 880k-1m. Which is approx 1.7m US and 2m UK. Australia is crazy expensive atm. Anything over 4 bedrooms is millions.
I have to respectfully disagree! So many times i hear about stalkers/burglers getting into rich peoples homes unawares to all because the house is so big. They can easily hide, too, and lie in wait (JonBennet Ramsay case theory). I could never live in a home where i wouldn't be able to know whats happening in it, or who is in it. Better for defence and offense to have control over your own turf. Someone wants to try to enter, they are going to meet their Maker. Small, but well built for the win. But i get how bigger can feel more secure for some. 💖🙏🕊
That’s how I would be. You wouldn’t know how much money I had. I’d still shop at target for decor. 😁 As long as I think it’s cute than I don’t care where I get it. Not into labels. I wouldn’t want a mansion, it would feel like a museum and I wouldn’t use half the rooms in it.
Margot Robbie’s bungalow for $1.2M under 1,000 sq.ft. We have a neighborhood in my city where all of the silver spooner money comes from - you’d pay and get the same here!
When Steve Jobs was still alive, he lived in just a regular residential neighborhood in like a 2,000 square foot house. Bill Gates came to visit him & Gates asked Jobs why he lived where he did. Jobs responded with, "I like it here."
None of these people live in these homes anymore or they are just one of many homes they have. Ed Begley Jr and his wife live in a truly modest home that they've owned for decades.
I would. Property taxes and mortgage payments on homes that cost millions is a waste. Keep it simple. You don't know how long that good income will last.
As well ad Netflix show, Social Media channels, etc. What I admire is that the bulk of his fortune he and his wife earned was primarily made after he left office unlike other politicians.

Ok most of these celebrities you are talking about don't live there anymore. Some have other homes in different places so don't think they should be in this list. And most of us can't pay the prices you stated so don't know if they really should be in this list either.
When you find five people living in a three bedroom, two bathroom house, please let us know. Until then, Margot Robbie could live in a studio apartment in Greenwich and I doubt that it would bother her as long as she keeps getting work.
Imagine being so out of touch you believe a townhome in DC is modest living, If you want to use a politician as an example of modest living the best person to use would be Ron DeSantis, When he was a congressman he didn't even have a home in DC he lived in his office when he had to.
Your title is misleading. It states celebrities who live in modest homes, but you then tell us about their homes that they bought as property investments and then sold. Stop treating your viewers like we are stupid.
Hi Kyle, had started to watch this, but, despite your interesting/ informative commentary, was totally put-off by the intrusive background "music"/ noise. Sorry bro, had to click off. You don't NEED that annoying background "music" - OR, make it TRULY "background". Cheers.
I do not understand why no one seems to know the difference between modest in style vs. modest in budget and the fact that most of these people could be spending wayyy more money and probably on something that is an ugly overdone mansion (like loads of the Real Housewives live in). And for those who have never lived in So Cal a basic little bungalow houses like the one I grew up in in San Diego in a lower middle class family that are about a thousand sq if that built in the 50's are around 1mm. I like the time periods the homes came fro,. It would be interesting to know who else ever owned those homes ? Beautiful homes.
Hi, new subscriber here 😁 Thanks for sharing this entertaining video 🤩
I think part of the reason famous people buy bigger houses with land, is security. A small bungalow maybe modest, but it's also very vulnerable.
I have to respectfully disagree! So many times i hear about stalkers/burglers getting into rich peoples homes unawares to all because the house is so big. They buy bigger homes because they have more money to invest.
Any home that’s over 5 hundred thousand is not a cheap home by today’s standards
It depends where you live. Where I live it would fetch a small condo, I bedroom or even just a studio, about 800 square feet or less.
Here that would buy a nice 2 bedroom condo.
A house is only a square box with petitions. People are nuts to spend that much money for a box.
You prefer not to live in a box?
"partitions"
The point is that they make millions , it’s relative . For anyone maybe a lot but for them it’s like buying a 200 k home
Page's is the best, very modest, modern, has good privacy and nice garden space with the small pool.
It's good to be near water.
The interiors of Jennifer Lawrence’s home look like they came from Costco.
