I really enjoyed this. I'm 65 and it makes me sad because I see a lot of the people I enjoyed watching in the movies are getting older. It's going to be a tough few years as some of these wonderful actors pass away.
Some of those that tried to preserve youth through cosmetic surgery ended up looking monstrous. Many that aged naturally preserved some of their beauty especially if they retained that youthful glint in their eyes and their beautiful smile. Age is a fact of life, inevitable! Beautiful it is to have lived a long full life. Seems like these days many celebrities die incredibly young. Nicely done👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yeah . Many pick the very worst pics and enhance them for added effect. Some of the older pics could have been more flattering here, but most were decent
Kirk Douglas, Michael's dad died at age 103! Louis Jourdan died in his 90s, the list goes on! We all age and the older you get, the faster the years go, known fact! No joke! You hit sixty and BOOM. I need to watch this everyday to stop wasting time wondering what I will do when I grow up! (Half joking there but hey.)
It's actually sad watching youth, beauty and vitality morph into old age, wrinkles and decrepitude. I'm about to turn 57 myself... and I'm becoming acutely aware that there was wisdom in that old The Who song 'My Generation': "Things they do look awful c-c-cold, Yeah, I hope I die before I get old". Despite so many folks in the comments here trying to cope, getting old for most of us sucks ass.
I actually cried watching this.. Now 59 years old, and from Hollywood, these stars were part of my growing up! So many seem immortal to me! Hard to imagine a lot of them are in their upper 70s to 90s!
@@cathleenbrown6861 She avoided the limelight in later years. I wish we could've gotten interviews with these gals about what Hollywood was like when SOUND film had only been around a few years and most people never SAW a color film until Olivia appeared in GONE WITH THE WIND. Harvey Weinstein was bad but Louis B Mayer and Darryl F Zanuck weren't saints either!
As someone who is 36 and grew up watching most of these folks on the big screen just seeing their ages hits hard. I watched this with my Mom and both of us looked at once another and said damn we're getting old....
I am a Japanese woman. I was born in 1969 and am single. When I was young, I wanted to be an actress. That's why I think that actresses and actors who have been active in movies and left their mark on the world are beautiful and cool even as they get older. I feel confident and proud that they have pursued what they wanted to do.
I enjoyed it. I didn’t realise it was in order of age until the 89 year olds, so I will watch it again. All the earlier decades recognising young faces flowed along like my own life. They aged as I aged. As an almost 69year old, I am not worried about my ageing appearance very much. What doesn’t show is the chronic aches and pains from old injuries, weakness of grip for removing lids, vision problems then cataract surgery, fatigue from standing in line, staying awake after a meal. Life is a series of milestones and reaching each one is a triumph. All of the possible dangers of a particular age have been avoided so each birthday is a celebration of achievement.
So very true. I am 65 years old. I remember when many of these celebrities were young or still youngish....watching this is like watching an era pass away.
Those lucky enough to live to a ripe old age have lived a long and hopefully fulfilled life. So many die in their prime. We should applaud old age. It’s a gift.
No it's not. Living to a ripe old age costs a lot of money and there's no one to take care of you. You're largely fragile and unable to leave your home. And in many cases, you need someone to bathe you and wipe your bum after you poop. I'd rather die early.
This is a true celebration of aging 🥰 - almost all of them looked happier, more authentic and interesting at high age ☺️ And as almost all transitions were from mostly serious looking to smiling, I guess this was the purpose of making this. Getting old is truly a privelege ❤

Men do. But why has America infected the world that only YOUTH is of value. It’s a disgrace…..why make programmes like this as though ageing is a social solecism. I hope, one day, someone has the foresight to show the “before” and “after” of the greedy executives and the idiots sucking it all up, thereby damaging themselves physically and mentally. One thing: YOU’RE ALL GOING TO DIE. WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR LIFE ON OBSESSING OVER A WRINKLE OR A FEW EXTRA POUNDS. It’s senseless and delusional, beauty fades, but intelligence, unless fated with a terrible disease, goes on forever and will be passed to future generations. Beauty will not, no-one will be a clone of your gorgeous selves, a mere superficial resemblance - perhaps. But so what? (I’m referring to genuine beauty, of course, not the bits of surgery with which you have distorted yourselves).
Saddest part is the vast majority of these legends are most likely to be gone in the next 5 years and certainly next 10. Staggering how many actors you grew up watching are around 90 years old.

This video was very respectfully done. I absolutely hate how ageing is so often portrayed something to be ashamed of. As many here have commented, ageing is a privilege denied to many. I cannot deny that i dislike the physical changes of maturing, but at 57, I am a far more compassionate and accepting person than I ever was in my youth. And the confidence to just be who I am and genuinely not give a toss about what others think of how I look is a total blessing.
This was very well done and brought me to tears at times. So many of these I grew up with. I turn 51 in four days and watching so many of these amazing people age and pass on, hurts a bit. I know we don't last forever but I still don't have to like time marching on so harshlly. I remember Dolly Parton saying something like, "Time marches on and eventually you realize, it's marching right across your face." She always had a great way of saying things.
I thought Kathryn Hepburn aged so well. The look in her eyes was one of joy and kindness. Bridget Fonda knocked me out of my chair. She was absolutely stunning in Jackie Brown.

To you kids that watch this and say "What happened" or "How do they let themselves go like that"... Remember that you're going to get "Old" too. It happens to everyone if they're lucky enough... "The beauty of youth fades with the wisdom of experience"
As well as alcohol and years of partying. Doing drugs and not getting enough sleep. One you hit your 60's most people do start looking old. Some it's stress and tragic events in their lives too. Losing a child, spouse to a accident, health issues. Or just bad genes from a parents drinking/drug use while pregnant even.
Thank you for reminding us that time is prescious. Seems like yesterday, the memory of these actors and actresses when they were young and now the frail haggard face. I am 61 already , where is my last 40 years.
Your last 40 years are probably in the wealth of experience, rich memories and influence you have used and given to help shape those around you. That will influence others. This mortal coil is only a small part of the story.

If you don't lose your mind, my dear.
Bridget Fonda freaked me out!
I noticed that Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton, and Clint Eastwood still had the "glint in their eyes and their beautiful smile".

Это сигнализирует лишь о том, что вы не принимаете свои личные перемены в возрасте и жизни.
Здоровья вам желаю и долгих лет жизни. 😊
That was beautifully said.

This is a true celebration of aging 🥰 - almost all of them looked happier, more authentic and interesting at high age ☺️
And as almost all transitions were from mostly serious looking to smiling, I guess this was the purpose of making this.
