I laughed way too hard watching you walk and run while crocheting. I bet the neighbors were concerned. 😂 Love your videos . I usually never comment. But this couldn't pass without one.
I couldn't resist making a comment either. I laughed out loud when you were running (not really 😂) back and to across your driveway. Well done for even trying though. It was so funny!!!

Oh gosh you make me smile and giggle….Elise I wonder if you have heard of the crochet coral reef I am working on making a small fish tank…I have-made a lobster, crab, sea turtle, and shrimp…..trying to think about how to crochet sand….. I think someone made the largest coral ❤❤❤❤❤thanks for making my day!
This sounds amazing! It's a shame we can't share photos on TH-cam. I wonder if the bean stitch would work for the sand? Textured, but not 'in your face' enough to draw attention away from the corals and critters? Good luck with the project 🥰
Elise you are hilarious oh my gosh, your videos are always a hit! Cheers and much love, always looking forward to what you come up with next! Have a wonderful weekend. -S.
Elise you are a riot 😹 Pro tip though, they make little spinning yarn caddies you can hang in your wrist for walking and crocheting! I got one from Etsy and I love it!
I'm soooo slow at crocheting! I was just having this conversation with my daughter last night lol. But that's because my hands are so arthritic and makes it tough to go any faster than I currently do. However, that doesn't stop me from my hobbies. Just slows my progress speed xD. Great video as always Elise ♥
seriously if you don't love this woman you are wrong! she is so lovely and make her videos very calmly and dinamic. passionate about crochet and explains things very well.
Hi Elise: I don’t know anyone as cute and funny as you! But your research and videos of various topics is off the charts! No one on TH-cam does this like you do. Thank you for everything you share. 💜😎🇺🇸
Yep... roller skate on the beach path and crochet. Have a small backpack and leave zipper slightly open for the yarn to pull through (and ball unwind). I just work on smaller projects that I can hold in my hand while skating. You do have to not really look at what you're doing except peripherally. I just skate slow and steady on a flat even surface.
what a great video,, i looked at lisa gentry and the first part of that video she is telling you how to set up things so when you do the chain up 3 that is when you start the time and start doing the shells so please give it another try and see what happens
I've seen videos of a woman who walks and crochet. I keep telling myself I want to try it but I'm not always coordinated and it could prive disasterous. Those were some amazing records! I love your catio!
@EliseRoseCrochet that's cool! I've always wanted to get one for some ferals I feed. This spring, I may try to do some walks and crochet. I'll have to leave my kids home.
I think the best records were those that also produced something useful, like the blankets for charity. We appreciate your efforts to try running and crocheting for us, but please be careful. :) Also, I'm a slow crocheter myself, no need to feel bad about your speed. It's a hobby we do to relax, not a race. :D
Omg Elise, you’re sooo funny, I’m glad your husband didn’t have to call the ambulance. The canopy and blanket were my favorites but everything was truly amazing. Great vid.
Oh I so needed to see this! I'm going to have to try that speed challenge! I think you're supposed to start the timer after you do the setup row. This was fun! That canopy was beautiful!
WHAT?! 🤯 New glasses? They’re pretty regardless 😊 What a FUN video, Elise! Thank you! ☺️🧡🧡 also, I can’t even adjust my seated posture while crocheting! Walking or running? I’d kill my self and/or others! Lol. What a hoot!
People do such weird things… but wooow, that canopy! I won‘t do the speed test because I don’t want stress in my crochet fun. The way you ended the fidoe was great 😄
That was so cute! Part of my physical therapy after a serious illness was I had to walk around my house 5 minutes every hour. That doesn't sound like much but I had been disabled for a year and a half, from bed to chair to walker. I played music so it wasn't so boring and then I started crocheting too. I made 12 hats and donated them to a homeless shelter! It really made the five minutes go fast and I would go over without noticing.
Thanks Elise for this mind blowing info on crochet projects that made it into the Guinness Book of Records. I am truly amazed, inspired & filled w/ joy for the people that achieved these records. Oh, BTW, not to worry, I am the slowest crocheter on record. ❤️😊
There's a lady I see on my FB reels now and again who does walk-n-crochet and she puts her stuff in a fanny pack! I want to try to do walk and crochet, honestly, it sounds fun. I'm fairly okay at looking away from stitches, so I think I can manage. I hope anyway! I did the challenge and I got 28 chains and 8 treble crochets done. Then I saw someone say it was shells only, so I tried that. I got 5 shells complete! Not bad! Also what a fun video, thanks for sharing!
At the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool expo in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, they actually have a contest where the women walk and crochet or walk and knit. I have never attended this event, so I can’t tell you what it’s like. But it does sound really fun and interesting. Thank you, Elise, for another great video! Hugs!❤❤❤ Have to add: I think Jonah from LaCrosse, WI, would be a contender for the speed record. His hands are a blur!!!

Watching your channel has inspired me to make a couple of amigurumi toys, just for fun and I am Hooked ( pun intended ) I'm working my way through your playlist of videos and loving the content and the fun. Thank you again. 😊
14:16 Wait a second, a backpack would be better for the yarn. I have to have my skeins on my left hand side while crocheting, so zipper the backpack over to the left with a small opening for the yarn to come out. Use your bag for your chains.😊
I have an old 31 bag that is small for holding smaller projects like trivets. I put it on my forearm while I do whatever I'm doing and crochet my blues away, lol! Example: waiting in line to vote, as I was scooting forward, worked on a trivet.
Those records are amazing!! Really enjoyed your video - walking for exercise, takes my time away from my crochet, now I'm also going to try and combine both!!!
It's exciting to have a World record in a crochet challenge. But what happens to some of the yarn projects later? Do they repurpose the yarns for more useful projects? I love the 960 people who got together and crocheted blankets to those in need...
Hello Lovely Elise😊, great video and u ended with entertaining your neighbours too😂😂😂. But omg that canopy of hexagons !!!😮💗 Absolutely beautiful 💗💗💗. I love it !!! Thank u for sharing with us all the interesting and entertaining information. Love and prayers 💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏and yarn🧶🧶🧶.
Sweetheart you make me smile so much!! By the way I got as far as you did with the stitch timing LOL Hope you and hubby are having a wonderful weekend. See you next week
Very interesting, however, after a bad fall last month, I have learned not to do anything but walk when I am walking. That is crazy to do it while running.
Once when we were kids we tried to break the record for the world’s largest paper chain. We mostly cut up index cards and newspapers to make our loops. It was over a mile long when we finally gave up. But we had fun that summer.
This was super intresting. Thanks for putting this together and I'm glad you didn't get hurt there at the end! I could never run and crochet! I can barley walk and talk most days. 🤣
I think running while crocheting for those of us who wear glasses is going to be more difficult anyways without the yarn and bag and hook but then again my glasses are wonky and don't sit right so I'm getting a new pair next week.
Hi Elise and right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and granny squares for billie for boggy creek and a boggy creek blanket and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your TH-cam channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
LOL!!! You are hilarious Elise! I love your videos/content! But the attempted running while crocheting was absolutely laugh out loud funny! Love all you do for the sake of You-Tube!
I wish I could have seen that canopy. The shadows it thew were as beautiful as the canopy. And that blanket in South Africa, oh the gorgeousness. I want to see it in person, pictures are great but to see it in full living color. I hear chariots of fire, or the Olympic theme song but mostly chariots of fire
I still envious. I've tried walking and crocheting and even walking and knitting because I use to do a lot of walking to get to my job. It seemed a waste of time to not crochet...I got dizzy. No matter what I tried, I got so dizzy even to the point of nausea.
Afaik the 67 blankets for Mandela could have been knitted or crocheted. I know ive been knitting blankets for charity here in South Africa for years! Not sure if the charity ive been giving them to submitted any for the record though. But we now have wool specially for 67 blankets (thats its "brand" name) and every year on his birthday is a drive to donate blankets.
Is it shell stitch challenge in UK trebble or US trebble? I feel like US double/UK trebble makes more sense, but seeing as you were saying trebble I'm confused. Thanks!!
@EliseRoseCrochet Your glasses look clean in all the videos I've seen, but this video they just seemed so much more shimmering😂 Thank you for all the videos!
I am approved for working on a world record for crochet!
Oh my goodness!!! Congratulations!!!! Keep us updated about what happens! 🧶❤️🎉
Good luck!! Let's us know how you did.
@@EliseRoseCrochet thank you I will! It’s a BIG project and one I’m trying to figure out how much yarn and space I will need

Haha!! Thank you so much! I don't even want to know what they were thinking! 🤣🤣🤣
Hehe! Thank you! 🤪
I think you set the timer AFTER you made the ‘base’ of treble crochets….the challenge is how many SHELLS you make in a minute.
Agreed. That’s how I understood it.
I think you're right! She still would have beat me! 🤣🤣🤣

As a South African, I'm proud of this heartwarming record ❤
That canopy was bliss! But the leaves crunching under your feet in your "not for running" outfit just about killed me. 😂
The slow motion was perfect
Haha! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
The canopy was absolutely epic!💜💜💜 Just gorgeous!

Wow, that is a wonderful! It sounds like you are doing something amazing by donating all of those blankets! 🧶🧶🧶
Is it shell stitch challenge in UK trebble or US trebble? I feel like US double/UK trebble makes more sense, but seeing as you were saying trebble I'm confused. Thanks!!
Since she's in the US I thought she was saying treble stitch. But I could be wrong! 🧶🧶🧶
Could try crocheting in the dark. I recently learned that I'm capable of that thanks to a recent power outage. Ws able to crochet in absolute dark.
Now that's something I don't think I could do! I'm impressed! 🧶🧶🧶
Fun video! Thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🧶
