Mockingbird and the Crow. It's part country and part metal. It's great! I'm a DV survivor and I'd told men in family what my ex husband did to me, he would be dead and I would have been girl in the truck. So glad Hardy brought such a dark subject to light. Thank you for your awesome reaction!
I am DV survivor also. I agree with you about this dark subject being brought to light. So many look the other way, My ex would be dead too if my family could have gotten to him at the time lucky for him that he left the state.
@@jenniferanderson5228 I am so very sorry you went through that Jennifer. 😢 I saw a reaction last night that really upset me. Don't know if reactor thought he was being cute or what, but he was trying to figure out why lady was beaten and he said even though a man shouldn't hurt a woman, the man probably beat her up because she was cheating! REALLY??? Most victims are so caught up in just trying to survive and NOT be hurt, cheating isn't anywhere NEAR their radar! I don't believe in cheating anyway, but I was too scared too even if I thought of it. My ex held his fist against my face and said, " one blow and you'd be dead" or he pointed at his guns and said, " you can run as fast as you can, but a bullet is faster." I was isolated from friends and family and everyday after work, I was drilled with questions such as what did I do, who did I see and talk to, what was said, where did I go, and so on. On weekends, when I went to grocery store, he timed me, and once I got back, WITH our son in tow entire trip, I was asked all the daily questions PLUS, why I was 5 or 10 minutes late? Usually cause I stopped for gas or because lines were long at checkout at store. I was a nervous wreck 24/7! Many asked why I didn't leave? Because he knew where all my family and friends lived so he would have found me and put THEM in danger too, plus I held the steady job with insurance. The sheriff told me that if I left, per law, it was considered ABANDONMENT and I'd lose everything but my clothes. Plus taking my son who was being emotionally abused, would be considered kidnapping. Didn't matter I was trying to protect us both. My ex had already threatened that if I tried to leave, he would get our son at school and disappear with him. He had relatives I didn't know in other states bit I didn't know which ones. So I was STUCK AND TERRIFIED. My request to others is this, before you pass judgement on others and say, "Well I'D do this or that", try to put yourself in the victims shoes first. Only then can you even POSSIBLY begin to imagine what it's like.
@@robinhatcher8021 Amen you described me and my past to a “T”. I did try to leave a couple of times but like you say he came after me. Sheriff told me the same thing about it being abandonment. What finally convince everyone was when I was in the hospital from being run off the road by him, my youngest daughter which was 4 at the time told them daddy done this and that he told her momma ( which is me) that it would only take the snap of her neck to send her straight to hell. But I agree people will say they will do this or they do that but till they get put in that situation no one knows!
@@jenniferanderson5228 Exactly! You just don't have any way of knowing. My parents were elderly and lived 2 houses down. I didn't want them hurt. And I protected them from knowledge of the rapes because Daddy would have shot him and Daddy was a crack shot. He had been a hunter his whole life, so there was no doubt he wouldn't miss. They never liked my ex and my mother was the queen of , "I told you so", and I didn't want to hear it. I just couldn't face her because she was right all along. My child never saw anything physical, but we were BOTH being emotionally and psychologically abused. Like you, I was told per the sheriff and lawyer that if I left and took our child, it was considered abandonment and kidnapping! Even though I was trying to protect us! I was paying the house note. I was the one with the stable job! It was all we had that was SURE. So how was I to leave the only thing we had? Plus, if I left, the first place my ex would go was to my parents and they could get hurt. So for all the folks who never lived this and/or been in a corner like that, and they pass judgement and say, " Why didn't you just leave?" I say this, I pray 🙏 they never experience abuse like we did, and hope they never do because they have NO IDEA. My ex made a huge mistake which allowed me to divorce him and be free. I found myself again and am a very strong person now. God bless and keep you always. 🙏
I never told anyone. My mom figured it out and told my sister. They got me out. But my dad, my brother, and my brother in law, would’ve all gone to jail, no question, if they had known.
'I didn't try hide my pistol. I even try to run. I just sat on the porch smoking one of his cigarettes and waited for the the cops to come.' That line just hit different.

I've just recently discovers Hardy as well. Check out 'Give heaven some hell'. Also, a great tune by him. First one I heard by him.
From a 24 year survivor of domestic violence this song means a lot short story ex put me on a dating website for a joke he said nobody would want me I started talking to a man from Montana who was paralyzed since age 16 the ex threatened to kill me and hurt the kids the mountain man drove all the way to Wisconsin for a court case with me and gave the ex one look the ex took off for California where he died alone and that man I met is now my husband and I and my children are safe and loved they still live back home their all grown and I live in the mountains of Montana
What I think a lot of people miss is that he went in strapped but it was never to directly unalive the guy. He went to teach him a lesson and when the guy reached for his 12 gauge Hardy had no choice not to shoot.
"HAVE MERCY ON ME LORD", he wasn't asking the judge for mercy but the Lord. **GOOSEBUMPS** I can listen to this song and get chills every single time ❤ GREAT SONG 💕
Thank you for your reaction, I have to say that anyone that helped me, even something small, became etched in my memory. It can be incredibly difficult to get out of the situation (if you even realize that you need to get out,) total hopelessness, until someone does something to open your eyes or shine a ray of hope.
The part where he sang “it ain’t paradise that’s true but it’s a whole hell of a lot better than the place I sent him to” those words are very very powerful!!!! I don’t know how you feel about Morgan Wallen with the controversy he went through….YES….I DON’T AGREE with what he said….but he’s got some absolutely 🔥🔥🔥🔥 songs!!!! Hardy is in the beginning of his first song with Florida Georgia Line in “Up Down” and he’s in throughout the video of “Whiskey Glasses” but I don’t know your religion preference….but if you’re a believer in god like I am….then Morgan’s song “Don’t Think Jesus” is about what he’s done and how he feels even knowing that Jesus won’t turn his back on us
“I never thought my day of justice would come from a judge under a seat…” What a great line. I think most people don’t realize it at first, but she’s referring to the gun that’s named, “the judge”!
Older men in my life, believe it or not, especially my black neighbors while growing up were more inspirational and taught me more than any classroom ever could have!!! God bless em for making me a better person!!!
I feel like this is a man who was on the outs already, and thats why he was in some random town in the middle of the night, and he found a way to make his life feel like he had meaning.. He saved HER life, and likely many others.... Sure, he coulda taken her somewhere.. But no guaranteeing dude wouldnt find her, or he would just find and hurt someone else

Great song i can relate to it with my family that's been abused in many ways. So my people slowly and secretly have then funneled to make a appearance some I gotta keep real close by till the end. Cause we go out with a BANG.....
He knew what had happened to her because he could relate to her because he possibly lived it.. with his mom and dad. He was taking the steps to save her from a future of abuse and death. It satisfies him to do that because of all the years of watching his dad to it his mom until he killed her and no one did anything to protect her and he was too young to help her. He is grown and took the steps necessary to protect someone. Now he is relieved and satisfied the guilt he carried for his own mom.
I really enjoy watching your reaction. You can look deeper into the the lyrics and see what he did was sacrifice his life for the weak. Just the fact that he waited on the police and didn't try to run , shows that his conviction to protect her was morally correct. It was not Justice served because that can't be done by vigilantes so the justice had to be brought on the morally righteous. Hope that makes sense. I'll be following you now. I'm an old grandma that loves music and knows a lot about the songs the songwriters and artist. Please watch Brooks and Dunn believe the original video you'll not be disappointed
A similar song is Tulsa,Waylon Jennings 1971. The singer would gave got the guy, but, the girl begged him not to, cause, she " still loves you, for some reason! " In this case, the message is more like, " Theres a bus leaving town at sundown. Be on it, or be under it. Your choice."
Your reaction to this song was perfect. Reminds me (63 yrs) that when I'm not with my wife (65 yrs) there are men looking out for her. Real men that act, not record for tik tok or whatever.
He is not playing at all and I worship him for what he did Not sure if it was the smartest thing but he saved her for sure from anymore abuse. Bless him!!! Ive been there
a Good country song does 1 of 2 things 1 tells a relatable story 2 teaches a life lesson A GREAT country song does both this is a great country song. some things are WORTH going to jail for
In country boy vernacular "Wait in the truck" translates as "I need to handle something and I don't want you to see it being done." Sometimes real men must unleash the monster inside us, we must be meaner than evil. We don't want you to see that side of us, we don't want you to fear that side of us so we tell you to ''wait in the truck" As she is on the stand testifying she says "I don't know if he's an angel because angels don't do what he did" I would submit that he was both a guardian as well as an avenging angel. When the system, when society fails to protect those weakest among us it is left to rough men standing outside the rule of law to do what is necessary to preserve the peace, protect the innocent, and return civility. Some call this "vigilante justice" but for some the vigilante is the only hope to obtain justice. Here is what I saw in the video: A drifter, a loner, a ex'con (Based on the prison tats) finds a gal who has been beaten, he knows the signs he's seen them in the past in a woman he holds dear. He makes the decision to help her, the only help he knows is violence. He has been to prison and knows he can do the time. He makes the choice to remove her from her prison, a prison of abuse and pain, he frees her.
In Texas, “wait in the truck” means “I’ve got things to do that you don’t need no part of, I got it.”❤

Country is beautiful and tragic. Three cords and the Truth.
This song makes me yell "yessss" and fist pump. I've known far too many women who were victims. It's been getting a lot of radio play on my local country stn. - if it makes even one violent partner think twice . . .Thanks for playing this & your comments.
Thank God for Men and Weman we belong together one for one
Yes he had it coming. Need more like him. Yes he's a angel.
He was a life saver wish I had some one like that
You mentioned a real man, well friend, it takes a real man to feel the soul of this song.
"RESPECT"
I. From southern Florida I grew up around this it is absolutely refreshing to know that most men don't address women like this 🥺 to watch your face as you watch this is as heart breaking as to us that have have had to experience this in our daily lives by the ones we HOLD DEARST😭😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬WE ARE NOT WEAK WE JUST HOLD LOVE FOR THOSE THAT CAUSE THE MOST HARM
We don't have MEN 🙏 YOU WERE THEE FIRST MAN I SEEN REACT AS YOU DID🫣 Thank you TO YOU MOMMA 🥰 SHE RAISED YOU PERFECT ❤️ I HAVE A 7 YR OLD AND HE WILL BE AAAAAAAA MAN
React to HARDY - SOLD OUT
This one is so powerful They did this song live on the country music award show a week or so ago. They even had an old pickup on stage for it. Amazing song about a touchy subject. I've just recently discovers Hardy as well. Check out 'Give heaven some hell'. Also, a great tune by him. First one I heard by him.
Give Heaven Some Hell is my favorite Hardy song. Plus the video is also great.
I was gonna say the same thing. "Give Heaven some hell" is a awesome song
Men…… he just saved her. That’s humanity that’s love and I’m balling
I understand the "judge under the seat" had a double meaning: It is the also the brand of gun used.
Great reaction! You even realized she had the truck! Loved it!!!!
Love your reaction. And you are right. That is a real man. And you are a real man to Acknowledge that 🙏
What I think a lot of people miss is that he went in strapped but it was never to directly unalive the guy. He went to teach him a lesson and when the guy reached for his 12 gauge Hardy had no choice not to shoot.
Loved your reaction to wait in the truck brother Greg but that's what a real man does in a situation like that 👍
"HAVE MERCY ON ME LORD", he wasn't asking the judge for mercy but the Lord.
**GOOSEBUMPS** I can listen to this song and get chills every single time ❤ GREAT SONG 💕
Love Hardy, hes a great storyteller.
Thank you for your reaction, I have to say that anyone that helped me, even something small, became etched in my memory. It can be incredibly difficult to get out of the situation (if you even realize that you need to get out,) total hopelessness, until someone does something to open your eyes or shine a ray of hope.
So love your reaction! ❤ this was a heartbreaking story... and beautiful ❤ thank you!
Real man... I agree:)
Hardy is in the beginning of his first song with Florida Georgia Line in “Up Down” and he’s in throughout the video of “Whiskey Glasses” but I don’t know your religion preference….but if you’re a believer in god like I am….then Morgan’s song “Don’t Think Jesus” is about what he’s done and how he feels even knowing that Jesus won’t turn his back on us
What happened with Morgan Wallen?
“I never thought my day of justice would come from a judge under a seat…”
What a great line.
Your reaction is awesome! The only reactor who had the same thought I did about the ending! I like how the video shows her walking down the hallway free and him walking down the hallway in restraints! Awesome song, awesome video and awesome reaction!!! Thanks
Hunny your the FIRST commenter who GOT IT that she's waiting for him..."in the truck" so glad I watched you! 👍
Taurus (judge) revolver, one of the best bars in the song 🔥
This is my favorite Hardy song but my second favorite is "A Rock" followed by "Give Heaven Some Hell"
Love the cover of this song.. and he definitely did not wanna hear none of that mess!!! Just wait in the truck is my newest favorite song. It's a sad situation but it's so true
Love this song, these are the kind of men I grew up around.
hardy and Cadillac 3 are my 2 current favorites 💌
This song just pulls you in !!!
Your reactions were so adorable 🤣 I love how you got pulled into the story and anticipated what would happen next. I also love how you feel about DV. What a man 😍 This song gives me chills every time!
Down here in the south Real men take care of women. When he says wait in the truck you wait in the truck
Wow..what a song ...i love how your so passionate you feel to the songs you listen to... great job
Not gonna lie I have watched probably 50 reactions to this song and yours is by far the best.
Sold out , jack , truck bed, you will be very surprise
Hardy has masterful skills in writing for real.
So good, thanks for the reaction.
Gotta say….. you’re the 1st & only African American man who took this seriously, thx for your respect towards the “way” she looked when he stopped 💝
Great song i can relate to it with my family that's been abused in many ways. So my people slowly and secretly have then funneled to make a appearance some I gotta keep real close by till the end. Cause we go out with a BANG.....
Song just gives chills! Incredible voices and passion! Taking music to a whole nother level
I feel this in my soul ❤😢it was my childhood.
Thanks for the perspective on this. We are all human and we can all relate to this story.
God bless
He knew what had happened to her because he could relate to her because he possibly lived it.. with his mom and dad. He was taking the steps to save her from a future of abuse and death. It satisfies him to do that because of all the years of watching his dad to it his mom until he killed her and no one did anything to protect her and he was too young to help her. He is grown and took the steps necessary to protect someone. Now he is relieved and satisfied the guilt he carried for his own mom.
That's my theory.
He don’t play at all he did his thing I enjoyed this video ☮️🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️
I’m not a big country music fan, but like Brad Paisleys music, this is a love of lyrical content and storytelling. This is awesome.
Thank You, Great Reaction & Understanding ❤
Man, dude, this reaction was powerful!! Thanks! Hardy put it out there man!!
Hardy has written many songs that have peaked on the charts for others. Glad he’s doing his own thing. His song writing is epic.
In this case, the message is more like, " Theres a bus leaving town at sundown.
Be on it, or be under it. Your choice."
Great reaction.
Thank you.
Your reaction to this song was perfect. Reminds me (63 yrs) that when I'm not with my wife (65 yrs) there are men looking out for her. Real men that act, not record for tik tok or whatever.
God bless men who protect women...and women who tell the men thank you
Please react to more Hardy he has a new album coming out in January, that is a country/ rock album!
As a woman who was abused for 3 years before he went to jail, thank you God for men like that.
So she running his Whip? That is outstanding!!
'Wait in the truck' is southern slang for 'some very violent shit is about to go down, stay here and stay out of it'
Hardy can tell a story!!!
The judge under a seat is the most badass line in the so g
The judge under the seat…..🔥❤️☮️👵🏼
A real man this is a real man 💟💟💟
You should check out "Sold Out" and "Jack" by Hardy also. Man is an incredible songwriter.
Did you notice..she was still waiting in the truck. Powerful
He is not playing at all and I worship him for what he did Not sure if it was the smartest thing but he saved her for sure from anymore abuse. Bless him!!! Ive been there
Hardy is headliner for the WV state fair this year
Great reaction, thank you.
a Good country song does 1 of 2 things
1 tells a relatable story
2 teaches a life lesson
A GREAT country song does both
this is a great country song.
some things are WORTH going to jail for
❤❤❤love this man and song
she comes back because he saved her life, she knows it and loves him for it.
As a survivor of DV, I wish someone would have told me to “wait in the truck “ all those years ago. Great, but painful (for me) song 💜
In country boy vernacular "Wait in the truck" translates as "I need to handle something and I don't want you to see it being done."
Sometimes real men must unleash the monster inside us, we must be meaner than evil. We don't want you to see that side of us, we don't want you to fear that side of us so we tell you to ''wait in the truck"
As she is on the stand testifying she says "I don't know if he's an angel because angels don't do what he did" I would submit that he was both a guardian as well as an avenging angel.
Love this song loved ur reaction to this as well keep up the good work 🔥💯🖤🖤🖤🖤
