Innocent lives that are snuffed out or destroyed because someone who didn't deserve to be alive, was put back on the streets to do bad things over and over again. Thank You for your reaction to this video, I agree the system sucks, I was married to a man for 19yrs and he'd beat me,I had 2 kids and he controlled me by using their health care, to make me follow his rules,and yes once again I left with my kids,he found me,physically brought me back,I filed papers, restraining orders, it didn't help it got worse, he hired a man to kill me,I was on life support for 5 weeks and in a coma for 2 months, I've had 2 brain surgeries, and by the Grace of God I'm living, I'm 60yrs old and happly married and he's dead.

Oh man do I have a story about this topic. I am an archaeologist although I no longer do excavations. Truly rural, untouched places are kind of rare just because of the size of the country, however I went on a dig to a place called Rhydymwyn in North Wales. That place is so far out in the sticks it is where the UK scientists worked on the nuclear project shared with the USA in WW2.
Because of the kind of excavation it was there was a rotation system of who would be site 'security' every night, basically the site had to be manned day and night as part of the conditions in the permit to dig. My husband and I were the ones on duty that night, and we were up late. The sun doesn't set until 11pm in summer then begins to lighten at 3am. The sound of a car engine set us on edge and we remained as silent as we could. Four dudes pulled a man out of the back seat and began beating on him.
Of course I kind of had to stop them as they were destroying the evidence layer we reached. I pulled up my big girl panties and stuck my head out the tent. I scared them shit less and to this day I do not know how the words left my mouth but I said "Um, what he do?"
He had beat his wife so badly she was unrecognisable. I just nodded and replied with "I have no problem with what you are doing but could you go to that square trench? We are done with it and if you want you can tip the wheelbarrow of shovels and mattocks in too. I will wait an hour then call the police." They apologised and did what I said. I told the police I was just too terrified to stop him and call sooner. He died, the police knew it was bullshit but just accepted my explanation. It was in the local paper about an attempted theft and he'd broken his neck falling into a 7ft deep trench that wasn't visible in the dark.
It would never fly now but I am talking about 2001 here. The police would probably have wailed on him if they got there whilst he was being beat up.
For a man, You should never pick on/hit/bully anyone less-than, less fortunate, challenged in ANY way, or a woman. Period. And the good men out here need to protect that at ALL costs.
That's not court of law, that's THE LAW OF THE LAND. Period. 💯
I was in a relationship like that before. Choke slammed into the hood of my car while I was 6 months pregnant. Kicked in the back with steel toe boots. Hand prints bruised into my neck several times. Slammed car doors on my legs. I could keep going....my mom took me to the funeral home one day. I asked what we were doing there. She told me i was there to pick out my casket cause if I didn't leave thats where i would be. 16 years later and still haven't looked back. God did his work though...the guy that beat me was found in a ditch a year ago from wrecking his motorcycle.

Thank you for your honest reaction! I'm a DV survivor. I went to sheriff and lawyer but as much as they wanted to help, they couldn't because my abuser was my husband. I never told my father about the abuse or my brothers. All were excellent shots. I protected them from prison as I didn't want their lives destroyed defending me. God got me and our son out. 🙏 Been married to a good man now for 20 years who never hurts me. But this song brings up alot if memories. If I'd told Daddy, I'd have been the girl waiting in the truck. I agree with the video, even in grade school I understood abuse was. I would get between my dad, mom, and brothers. I would rather take the beating than watch them be beaten and be seen by a small town hospital. That was the 70’s and 80’s and a protective order is just paper it doesn’t stop a large abusive man. My dads eyes and mine turn dark blue or appear black when angry. My brothers and I promised to stop that from staying in the family. My dad, his dad, and some women are abusive my great grandmother.

I prayed an angel would help me or come take me to Heaven. Cops blamed me for getting beat. The shelter had to ask me and my kids to leave because he found us. It wasn't safe for the other women and kids. I finally got away but I wasn't free. I constantly waited for him to find me. He died of cancer. I'm free now
This is someone who has been where this woman was. My boyfriend, at that time, had me so f&cked in the head. He would beat me and then I would beg him not to leave. When people say you need to leave and why did I stay. They don't realize that it didn't happen on day one. They break you down to the point of insanity. They start breaking your self esteem down calling you names and making you feel bad with everything you do. Then tear you away from your friends and family first. That way you have no where to go. Then comes the violence and not all at once. Then their sorry or its your fault. People don't know the damage it causes the spirit and soul. This guy gave her peace and power back. The cops couldn't do what he could. Inwish there was more like him. God said vengeance is mine but he also says we can't judge.

As a dm survivor myself, I know what it's like to feel helpless in a situation/relationship like that, my ex was abusive. If my now fiance hadn't gotten me & my children out & away when he did, my ex would've killed me. A few months after he got us away from there, my ex was arrested & is serving a life sentence for brutally killing a 60 yr old man then buring him in concrete. Thankfully I had a guardian angel that helped us get away unfortunately not everyone has that.
