XANA has possessed the Headmaster. Mr. Delmas kidnaps Yumi and Odd and gives Jeremy an ultimatum -- Aelita must go to the edge of the Ice Sector on Lyoko within two hours, or Odd and Yumi go bye-bye! Our heroes don’t have a moment to lose! But the police is also looking for Odd and Yumi and they get in our heroes way. Luckily, thanks to a electro-magnetic bomb made by Jeremy, Ulrich eliminates the xanafied Headmaster and saves Odd and Yumi at the last second…back on Lyoko, Aelita deactivates the tower. - บันเทิง

On the one hand, she had Aelita telling her what to do. On the other hand, Ulrich and Yumi had Jeremy's notebook. So it could be that she's better and following directions without serving guessing them, or that Aelita is better at explaining things than Jeremy. I'd put my money on the latter.

I feel like this episode is the best example of why Sissi should have been part of the group. While she isn't always the best decision-maker, she helps out of what is clearly a genuine desire to be helpful. Not only that, but she has a genuine desire to be part of the gang, outside of her crush on Ulrich. People cite "XANA Awakens" as proof she would be a bad fit, but the only reason she went to her father was that she thought they were in over their heads (which they were) and wanted to protect them. Whenever she's let in on the secret and the group demonstrates they can handle what XANA throws at them, she never really shows a desire to inform the authorities.
I always wish the show had taken bigger risks where this was concerned, as well as with Jim. Time and again, the gang could have used the help of people who knew what was going on so they could get as many people on Lyoko as they could manage. And, besides William (who was a good pick), Jim and Sissi proved that, approached in the right way, they could be really dependable allies.

They shouldnt treat Sissy the way they do, yes she messed up in the first episode but she doesnt remember because her memory was wiped.

It's really an unfair situation to her because so many times when she learns a lesson or displays some character growth, they do a RTTP, and the circumstances that prompted her to learn those lessons never happen. The gang knows she's capable of doing good and can be dependable (ep14 where she helps Ulrich after his arm is broken, ep34 where she covers for Yumi without any strings attached, and this episode being great examples), but it never really leads anywhere. I wish that it had, with "XANA Awakens" either taking place right before the second or third season finale to show what started the conflict between her and the group, juxtaposed by the sweet resolution to said conflict in the following one or two episodes.
I know they were operating on "the less people who know about Lyoko the better," but Sissi was as equally good a pick as William. (Jim is a bit more iffy in that given the right circumstances he's also proven to be a great ally, but as an adult, I feel he would be more compelled to go to the authorities, especially pre-s1 finale and post-s2 finale when Aelita will no longer die if the supercomputer is shut off.)

This episode is such a gem. Sissi is such a good character, XANA isn't a total jerk, at least gave Yumi a jacket, and Yumi was so badass with her tornado.
Also, the Kankerlots sliding into each other this episode, one hitting the invisible tower last episode. I love the humor with them!

Well, this tv show was made at a time where cell phones were probably maybe $60 to about $100, at best. But, I get what you mean though.
3 BIG THINGS I WISH THEY DID IN CODE LYOKO (hear me out):
1) Let Jim, Sissi, and William join the group.
(Give William time to be in the group before the abduction, then have him come back at the end for a few eps and willingly sacrifice himself to save the day)
2) Give every fighter 3 attacks:
*Yumi - Throwing Fans, a Fan Duplicate move to throw multiple, and a Fan Reflection move to bounce them off walls.
*Odd - Laser arrows, extendable Laser Claws, and a short distance Juke/Teleport move. (keeping him as one of the most agile)
*Ulrich - TWO Swords, Duplicate, and Super Sprint (Triangulate is just super sprint + duplicate)
*Sissi - A Staff with pointed tips, the ability to turn the Staff into a Long Bow (group needs a sniper) and a Charged Shot that can pierce walls.
*William - The Zweihänder, the ability to shoot Arc Waves from it but he must do a flip-like movement first (like Maliketh from Elden Ring) and an ability called "As One" where he can move his body just by thinking about it but only when holding his sword.
*Aelita - Wings she actually USES, Calling apon Lyoko to create basically anything, and energy manipulation (shield, blast, etc)
*And Jim - (Had fun with this one) Jim should VERY RARELY go to Lyoko. That said he'd have a Sumo INSPIRED outfit (no diaper) and a big ass shield with the abilities Truck Slam (Charging with shield) and Full Metal (Slams shield to make a wall)
Their weapons can all block lasers. That way Ulrich isn't the only one with all the cool stuff 😆
3) Expanded on the "Lyoko mind powers" like Yumi's telekinesis:
*Odd - Can see the future
*Yumi - Telekinesis
*Ulrich - Turn objects, people, or himself invisible
*Sissi - Heal with her mind (because GOOD GOD do they need a healer)
*William - Do damage with his mind (idk this isn't easy)
*Jeremy - Mind Control (PUT HIM IN LYOKO AT LEAST ONCE: have an ep where he uses XANA's monsters against him)
*Aelita - ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES can briefly stop time in Lyoko but it takes a huge toll
*And Jim - doesn't get one 🤷🏽♂️
That way the combat and story could be much more robust and intricate. More LONG TERM character development and larger more diverse monster group combinations at once.

When looking back throughout the entire show’s run, they actually got a lot of really tender moments together
Episodes like this really make me mad that Sissi never ended up officially part of the group. She has potential to be better/nicer, they just need to give her a chance. Yeah she was too scared in the beginning, but she's proven herself to be capable when it's really needed.
I love this episode it’s another episode featuring Sissi’s kind side and (in spite of the fact that he has trouble making her happy sometimes because of her spoiled nature) it shows how much Sissi cares and loves her dad more than anything in the world.
Sissi’s dad means and is everything to her in the entire world and Sissi means everything to Mr. Delmas too neither would be ever to able live without each other.

XANA is evil, but it's not an nonsensitive bastard.
XANA shows tiny, miniscule ways of caring, or at least respect. Mostly it is tyrannical, but there are rare, tiny moments like these and like when it helped them temporarily against the marabounta (the ant monstrosity Jeremy created)-- the monsters helped in order to protect Aelita, and then, after that, instead of attacking its weakened opponent, nabbing Aelita, and making a run for it, XANA has its monsters box out of respect to the Lyokoian warriors, before leaving them alone. Another moment occurred in "Teddygodzilla" when it overheard Milly's convo with Tamiya, and heard the young girl sobbing to her teddy about how she hated all the mean, older kids and Jim-- shortly before possessing the bear and attacking the people who upset her. XANA could have possessed anything then, but specifically chose that bear. I find that... interesting.
What's more is when Sissi mentions talking to her XANA-possessed father in this ep, unaware he is possessed, we learn of XANA's burden. It feels like it has some kind of duty to do this, as unpleasant or humiliating as it can be for it at times. I just want to know more of why. That right there is the ticket to understanding XANA.
Note: XANA also strongly reminds me of a militarized, well-meaning, mad AI called AIDAN from the Illuminae Files. AIDAN is like the philosophical, much nicer, version of XANA. Who ends up siding with the good guys.

My favorite thing about sissi is that she’s loved Ulrich since elementary, she may not go about it right but she does genuinely care and love him, unlike Yumi who seems to have minor difficulty sorting out her feelings ( no yumi hate )

Man I really enjoyed this episode. Not gonna lie I found Sissi of great help. It was about as great as when Jim joined the group. Just wish things could’ve been different as far as Sissi’s character and attitude. Jim proved very open. Sissi maybe could cool it on her manners. And maybe the group could explain why she can’t tell anyone. I have hope for these two honestly.
