Just to explain to people why the Tungsten Carbide breaker works better than metal, I'll tell people quickly in case they were wondering. It's because Tungsten Carbide has a higher HRC than any other metal, we are talking around 90 HRC. So it's verry hard and will not rebound off of glass like alum or steel frames knives are made out of. So it doesn't just force it's way through the glass with brute force or "Heavyness" like steel has to. Because glass is actually harder than most steels, but the Tungsten Carbide has such a high HRC that it actually cracks the glass upon impact due to its super high HRC level.

I’d like to see annual videos, Microtech knives after each year of hard use. Including the use of Microtech’s lifetime warranty, because eventually everything Breaks.

Carrying the kind of knife which is below 9 inches in length and 2 inches in width is thus allowed. So size does matter after all who knew!? So although we can carry this OTF style blade I have zero ideas as to why you would want to. What purpose or functionality does it display? I only see a gimmick with a weak/short blade that will have a short novelty value of the sound you hear sccccccccccccccchick when it is deployed. It is not a survival knife/bushcraft/combat/dive/SRK ... what does it do effectively other than do the sccccccccccccccchick sound reasonably well? I am confused!

Awesome video! I've carried my 2015 single edge black Combat Troodon for going on three years now (also an Elmax blade). Nice to know what it can withstand if the need should arise. I carry it for emergency purposes exclusively and carry another cheaper auto for EDC tasks (sometimes a Lightning, more often these days a side-opener as it can be opened discretely around sheeple).
The microtech bug bit hard this past summer so I sold all my frame locks months ago and started buying up microtech OTFs. Got a sweet little collection... love my copper ultratech if you see one grab it they getting hard to find :)

Man, I can’t believe what I just saw...Bravo, Sir. I figured these were going to be crazy expensive so I checked out Knife Center. They are basically $400-$600 depending on the individual knife, so that is not bad at all. Unfortunately, they can’t ship one to me, lol, even though they are legal in my state.
OK but how much blade play was there at the begining and how much was there after all that abuse? The fact that it still held a workable edge is nice, but knives can be resharpened easily. That cannot be said for fixing any wiggle in the lock if it develops after heavy use.

I got a blue combat I just expected it to come sharper little scratch on the middle in the front of the blade but besides that great knife I also had received it from blade hq
Everyone should test their rifle scopes like this. Then we would know what is the best. No other scope tests would ever be done once the top one was found. I'm out!
I’m on the fence with buying an Ultratech. Do you think the Ultratech is every bit as tough as the Troodon? I mean do you think the Ultratech would survive the same test as the Troodon?
Hey Mij, great question. However, I need to clarify something. The Troodon and the Combat Troodon are two different knives. Of the three, it has been my experience that the Combat Troodon will go the longest without cleaning with Rem Oil through daily use. I think it is just because of the stronger spring. Then it would be the Ultratech and then the Troodon. I have a friend Rick who did a really good torture test on his channel. Is your 6 covered. Check it out! I even shot the blade with a .40cal and split the bullet.
You should give one the ultimate test. Send it to me by US Postal Service. Only a really tough knife can withstand the type of torture the Post Office can dish out. I, of course, will do a video on how well it works after they get through with it... if it survives. 😂
PowerMadHeadBanger I will have to get to you that one. MT uses different angles based on model and blade profile. I will find out the answer tomorrow on the CT with the D/E blade. I cannot comment on resharpening as MT states you should send it in for that.
