    Great video, likely tomorrow I am going to drag my self outside to do this with my 08 Lancer.
    Really wondering if going though the left side is best on North American models, I'll have to poke around & see for my self.
    If not, its no big deal, just makes more sense to be to keep everything on the same side.
    I'll be doing two wiring kits at once, one for my 4 channel Infinity Reference amp, and another one for my subwoofer & whatever amp I end up buying for it.
    I'm a big fan of Harman Kardon so I'll be putting 4 Infinity Reference 6.5 in the doors.
    There not going to fit, so I'll either have to make something out of wood to raise them, or cut the holes bigger or both.
    Subwoofer wise, I was busy bargain hunting, so I just got my hands on a cheap "dual" brand subwoofer already in a box.
    I might just end up buying an amp from the same brand..... there cheap & I would assume it would be the best pairing.....
    Technically everything I got is cheap bargain hunting, only paid $100 Canadian for that 4 channel amp from an employee who took it off a display unit from a large Canadian electronics retailer that went under a few years back.
    The speakers were all used, paid $40 for them all.
    & the subwoofer I got $36 on eBay advertised as "refurbished" but I am pretty sure its a new item that just got returned when someone changed there mind....
    Heck my double din Pioneer head unit I already installed was only listed on eBay for $86 "refurbished" & I used a eBay coupon plus my eBay "bucks"
    So I paid like $55 for it.
    Only thing I paid full retail for was my dash kit & wiring kits. Even then on the lower side of their pricing spectrums...

    Great video, it was awesome! I was hoping to see how you ran the power wire in the engine bay to the battery. It said in the vid you will show it later but I didn't see it.
    Maybe I missed it?

      Hey man. All I did was run the power wire along the strut brace, cable tied, and down to the battery. I put the fuse holder there as well and it was all nice and neat. That’s pretty much it dude

    This is probably a silly question, but I am not super familiar with head units in new cars, but a 2017 Lancer SE factory head unit would have the RCA ports right?

    Do you just ground it under that bolt you showed? i cant get mine out for the life of me

    • @tomelliott8096
      @tomelliott8096  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah man! Its the best option I could find, so If you're able to ground it, do it. You may need some heavy duty tools to remove the bolt, but make sure its free of any paint before connecting. Thanks dude

    Can you please tell me how to connect 2 subwoofers and 2 speaker to a 4 channel amp

    • @tomelliott8096
      @tomelliott8096  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Assuming your subwoofers are enclosed, you should easily be able to run speaker wire from your amp to your subs and speakers, however I can't help you without the loads of each sorry

    The sub wire looks way too small. I don't even use that small a gauge on my mids and tweets. Get some 16 gauge AT LEAST! 🤭

      @@tomelliott8096 Don't be salty. Didn't mean to criticize. Just think its best to get decent wire since you and others are spending hundreds/thousands on stereo equipment and then skimp on wire.

    would this be the same process for a stock head unit lancer?

    • @djthundercataus9353
      @djthundercataus9353 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Calvy Films depends if ur stock head unit has rca outputs (won’t work properly without rcas) you may need a hi-level converter to use stock head unit if it doesn’t, but yes similar process just rcas may be an issue

  • @MangoMousse888

    Bro, the reason those speaker screw fixtures have a hole in the top is so u can feed the wire into that top hole and pull the connector nut up the wire, wrap the wire around the connection and screw that over the top so the feeds up n out of the top of that screw nut, not hanging out bottom like tap worm hanging of a dogs arse! 🤣🤣🤣
