Ohhh, thank you so much M8, so happy you chose to check this one out! Was convinced you were gonna dig it - and convinced you will love all the other stuff if you keep walking down the Dirty Loops road. Impossible not to fall in love with these ridiculously talented great human beings. Their musicianship is off the charts. They're all Swedish, have studied music together, are currently managed by Quincy Jones Productions, and got TH-cam famous about 10 years ago by covering famous pop songs from artists like Rihanna, Adele, Justin Bieber etc. My personal suggestion for the next one would be to continue with one of their originals "Rock You" or "Follow The Light" (ft. funk guitarist Cory Wong). Again, thank you for doing it, a wonderful treat on this cloudy Sunday 👌🤩

I just love to see someone experiencing Dirty Loops for the first time and have their mind blown. They started the group as a hobby project in 2008, and never thought it would be anything other than that. In 2010 they put up a video on youtube (a cover of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance"), as a booking reference, to see if they could get a gig or two, just for fun, as they thought their music was way too unsexy for anyone to actually like it. Needless to say, they were completely wrong. The video went viral and a LOT of people absolutely loved it. Just about everything they've ever released is of this ridiculous musical quality, so if you consider checking out more of them, you could basically pick anything, and you more than likely won't be disappointed.
They've all known each other and played together for 20+ years by now, in their late thirties. Jonah (keyboard/vocals) and Henrik (bass) even went to music elementary school together and met when Henrik was 11 and Jonah was 9. Aron (drums) comes from another part of Sweden and came along when he moved to Stockholm at the age of 16, to attend the same music high school as they did (he was in the year between the other two). Then they all attended Kungliga Musikhögskolan (Royal College of Music) in Stockholm, where Henrik and Aron studied jazz/rock, and Jonah opted for music production (iirc) as his main subject.
I saw them live a couple of years ago, at a small outdoors jazz festival in northern Sweden, and believe it or not, they're just as bonkers good live. These dudes are ridiculous!

Yes indeed, an interesting journey and path to go down -Dirty Loops 🔥 I’m glad you both ‘found each other’ so to say ;)
Thanks for an awesome reaction, very much appreciated and thanks a ton to Millie for recommending 👍
Three longtime Swedish friends, having studied at the Stockholm top music con, doing session work on the side, and deciding to form a trio and play the music which ‘would get them fired from a gig’.
Aron (drums) and Henrik (bass) studied jazz and rock, Jonah classical theory and piano (you nailed it, man 😉) Started first with classical piano, then later switching over to jazz. He also started singing practically from age one, both his parents were choirmasters and took him to rehearsals etc.
Henrik also started playing the piano, but switched to bass in his early teens, and has fast become one of the baddest dudes on the bass. He’s chilling, sort of, on this track, but usually burns it up and bringing incredible funk and rhythmic precision to his bass playing.
Aron is said to write a lot of his bass parts, as well as co-writing all of their tracks, even the lyrics, verses and choruses (here that one note chorus). He also is the one editing their music video visuals.
These three guys work so well together, playing and writing music at the top of their game whilst always having a ton of fun. They’re said to be as good or better playing live, have been touring and doing live concerts for over a year now 😱 and are currently touring Canada and the US.
This track, for me, always had a definitive Jungle vibe, because of the Latin percussion instruments and the berimbau played here in the background, and that sudden drop into that jungle-sounding middle section/first keys solo. So I found it super interesting that you mentioned that as well! It’s also one of the rarer ones where Aron gets a designated, extended drum solo 🔥🔥🔥
There’s so much to be explored about Dirty Loops and everything is of this insane quality, -it’s hard to recommend a next reaction.
But check out their cover of MJ’s “Thriller”, their songs “Rock You” and “Next To You”.
    Enjoy! 🙏☺️👍

Short version: Thank you, Wonderful reaction! Why not Rock you, or Coffee break is over if you are short on time, next?
    Long version:
I really liked your reaction; it is so nice that you praise Aron, that you appreciates Dirty Loops so much, and your comments where over all very good indeed! So nice with someone who knows their stuff (and is fun). As you of course spotted, it is not always easy to know what to expect the first time you listen to a Dirty Loops song. Next to you is another example. And as Ellen comments, if you want a bit of a surprise, watch Run away, but maybe you should save Run away for a bit, since it is the least typical DL song (or maybe most typical, in that they like to go down new tracks) , and listen to Rock you or Coffee break is over instead (the latter is just instrumental, just for fun). Then you have their collaboration with Cory Wong and his amazing horn section. Then all the rest!
I actually tried to buy you a coffee, but PayPal said something like "the page seems to not be functioning". Strange. Anyhow, I do hope you react to more DL songs!
Have you seen that they have been on a USA tour just now, it ended yesterday I believe. It seems to have been a great experience for them, and for their audiences alike.
