      I know I’m very tardy to the party, but if you happen to see this Elise, can you tell me if I could add Vitamin C powder into the water phase? Also, would Euxyl 9010 PE be a good substitute preservative? I don’t have Leuicidal at the moment, but I have optiphen, optiphen plus, & Euxyl 9010 PE. I can adjust the amounts in the formula, I just need to sub the preservative and add vitamin c. I’m a fairly advanced skincare DIYer :) thanks for all of your lovely recipes, and your excellent content!

    This moisturiser is sooooo nice 👌 The texture of it feels so high end!! My husband even commented that he's only felt this kind of texture in a moisturiser from Clarins. (Yes my husband moisturises too!) AND it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and so easy to make. I'm so impressed Elise, you're some kind of genius 😇🙌

    • @laurasaunders-calvert6576
      @laurasaunders-calvert6576 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stac334stacey7 you may just need to leave it to cool. If it's still really warm it'll stay fairly liquid. It may take a few times of whipping it then leaving it to cool some more before you get the consistancy you want.

      Hi Elise! I TRIED to make this today but the consistency was not like yours. It was a little more runny. Don't know what caused that, maybe my measurements were off. Can I have too much of something? Other than that, I think it came out ok. I will start using it tomorrow.

    I made this and its the bomb and I am a person who drops $$$ on skincare (some people its shoes, some its makeup, for me its skincare/moisturizers). This is definitely nicer than many things I have paid a good chunk of money for. Its nice and light, non greasy, and perfect for summer. I made two batches of this. One batch I used oatmilk as the liquid content and some zinc oxide. Both are beautiful The second one came out as a whipped consistency. Thank you so much, Elise. You really have an amazing channel. Im doing the heavier winter moisturizer on your website today.

    I was recently diagnosed with Scleroderma and my skin is in bad shape. It is very dry and I am afraid to use anything that is store bought. I came across your page and I must say I am very impressed with it. I was doing a little research myself and was wondering if you can do a recipe for a body moisturizer using African black soap? I read that it is a good moisturizer for very dry skin.

    • @WholeElise
      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Taungi, thank you so much! I completely understand wanting full transparency when it comes to your skincare products - especially when you have sensitive conditions! I actually haven't tried mixing cleansing agents with moisturising products (other than using colloidal oatmeal in my lotions). But I do regularly use African Black soap, so it's definitely something I'd be open to doing videos on in the future - thanks for letting me know 😊💚

      Unrelated question, my friend was recently diagnosed with schleroderma and her doctor said there's no treatment for it. Can you share any advice, tips or treatments that help the condition and if you know of any cure? Bless you x

      @@geminibykda4914 I am currently doing PUVA LIGHT THERAPY twice a week. I've been doing this for about 2 years now and a little bit of color has come back. I use a lot of moisturizer for my skin and try to avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. Unfortunately one of side effects that bother me most is the Raynards, numbing or tingling in my feet and hands. I try to do a lot of reading and researching to see if there are any new breakthroughs, and found out that the FDA approved a new class of meds called JAK Inhibitors. The results sound promising but the side effects are very dangerous, in my opinion. The only other thing I do regularly is pray.

      @geminibykda4914 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taungitaylor7208 thanks a lot for this. I wish you a speedy recovery. Do you've systemic schleroderma by any chance? And did you have any functional issues like fingers unable to extend and staying in this claw position. If yes, is there any treatment for it? Thanks a lot again. I appreciate your time.

    • @taungitaylor7208
      @taungitaylor7208 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@geminibykda4914 yes I have systemic scleroderma. Quite often my fingers will turn like white or even a grayish purple color and I can't feel them my feet will do the same but not as often. My face and hands are swollen all the time, I have what's called salt and pepper discoloration patches on my arms and chest, the one on my chest looks like a butterfly. There is a little discoloration on my face but it has improved some since starting the light therapy. I have to get a PFT(Pulmonary Function Test) for my lungs done every 6 months, blood work every 4 months to make sure my liver and kidneys are still functioning well, and lastly I have to have my mouth measured to make sure the skin on my face still has some elasticity to it. I also have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis). This has been a tough journey for me but I take things one day at a time. Here is the strange thing about how I ended up with this. I stressed myself to the point I caused my immune system to turn on itself. No one in my family has this.

    This recipe contains too much water...I ended up doubling my avocado butter and emulsifying wax to get it to a face cream consistency because at first it was way too watery even after cooling in the fridge for hours. I love the colloidal oatmeal addition though, it makes for a beautiful cream! Next time I will halve my water content.

    Hello Elise, I have a question about the natural preservative you used. Would you recommend putting that into toners also?

    • @WholeElise
      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi! It is a broad-spectrum preservative that will work well with most products, but it can depend on the formulation of your toner 😊

    Thank you for the amazing videos. What kind of emulsifier are you using? Is it BTMS-50? I recently acquired BTMS-25 and 50. After testing out the 25 in a different recipe, I can say I’m definitely a fan.

    Hello! Absolutely loving your channel! I apologize if this has been covered in another comment, but what kind of emulsifying wax would work for a face cream? I feel like my normal emulsifying wax, while it is nice in my body cream, would be a bit much for the face. Especially if you have an oily skin type. Thank you in advance for any assistance :)

    This is so well made and informative, thank you! After 15 years combined with the top French beauty houses in the world, I am about to embark on reproducing my favorite eye cream. Besides going easy on fragrance which is obvious, what other advice can experts here give about making eye cream?

    I’m glad I came across your page! I was googling how to make my own facial lotions and hand lotions since some lotions at my home don’t help with my eczema and breakouts. But what I do know is coconut oil and avocado oil or butter in one of my the creams I used helped my problems but not for long. By the way where do I get grape-seed oil from?

    You have a very soothing voice . What scale do you use ? I’m having trouble finding a reliable scale . It doesn’t measure out anything below one gram and I can’t find one that does or has more precision .

    Fantastic, well presented. 100% great teaching, explanation and reasoning. Clarifyies everyghing we need to know. Where can I get real vitamin E which is not from soy beans and which is not synthetic (vitamin e acetate) I'd like to get one that is soya free, hexane free and wheat germ oil free something like d-alpha topherol! Can you suggest where I can purchase. Thank you. Jennifer
