      Have you ever tried using hemp oil or hemp butter in any of your recipes? I'm really wanting to incorporate it somehow because it is miraculously healing. It's so amazing for just about everything, internally and externally. I just love it! 😊 Also, does this recipe turn out greasy or does it easily absorb into the skin?

    I have been making lotions and potions for about a year now. I have made formulas that are too greasy, too pasty and one even had grit to it. 😂
    But this recipe was perfect!
    I actually wanted it to be a bit more “solid” and creamy, so I used half cocoa butter and half shea butter.
    The whole family LOVES IT!
    Thank you😘

    You’re the first person properly explaining what colloidal oatmeal is. I can’t find it in my country so I’ll definitely use your alternative suggestion. You’re right, my creams are gritty because I’m using ground oats.

    For being a “how to make lotion” video, I honestly can’t believe how intrigued & enthralled I am by you. I’ve been down the TH-cam rabbit hole today & so far, your videos, BY FAR, are not only the best, but the most professional & well put together videos on TH-cam!! (my dad ran our college’s TV Production/Media Dept for 17yrs so I know what I’m talking about when I say professional & well put together😉) I mean, from the tone of voice, to the way you explain everything step, not to mention the fact that you basically added a “Table of Contents” to your video so your viewers can either bookmark an important step in case they need to return to it, or skip ahead if they don’t want/need to watch the entire video. I doubt you’ll actually read this, especially since this is a 6 month old video, but I just thought you should know that your hard work didn’t go unnoticed. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I made this for the second time today. Instead of e wax I used 8g of Btms 50 and 8g of cetearyl alcohol. I used shea and 2 tbsp of cocoa and for oil (was making it for a friend who has eczema and a nut allergy) I used sunflower, apricot kernel and a tbsp of coconut. Once blended and cooled I added a dessert spoon of homemade orange oil, a dessert spoon of homemade carrot and cucumber juice, some oat silk and a dash of rosehip oil and frankincense and tumeric essential oils. Tried to make it very cooling and anti inflammatory. Am sooooo pleased with the result. I will make this over and over. I make it for my friends and twerk it for their personal needs.

    This is so good! I've been having serious problems keeping the area around my eyes moisturized. There was some dermatitis or eczema. I had everything to make this already and whipped it up last week. My eye area was so much better first day. I put this on everywhere else and saggy skin is bouncing back.

    Hi, Elise! Great recipe! Instead of colloidal oatmeal, I use CO2 oat extract. This ensures complete dispersion in this lotion, and is not exposed to bacterial contamination. As well as CO2 extracts, you can extract the full matrix of all useful components from plants in full. Very well shot video, nice voice. Best wishes from Russia!

      ......Research God's time/ calendar in Genesis 1:14 before the false Sabbath law is enforced. How can the true Sabbath be Saturday or Sunday if we are commanded to let the lights in heaven be for days, years, etc.? The beginning of God's months start with the new moon days. However, on the Gregorian Calendar the new moons fall anywhere and everywhere.. How can the beginning of the month start in the midst of a month? We must abandon our traditions and do things Gods way. We make God's Word of none effect when we cling to our traditions. COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!

      @@----m---- I recalculated this recipe, taking into account the replacement of colloidal oatmeal with CO-2 oat extract. Of course, the extract needs much less, since it is very concentrated. The weight of this batch was calculated at 400 grams.
      Oil phase:
      Shea Butter - 15% (60g);
      Almond Oil - 15% (60g);
      Emulsifying Wax - 6% (24g);
      Water phase:
      Distilled Water - 57,7% (230,8g);
      Glycerine - 3% (12g);
      Cool Down:
      Preservative Eco - 1% (4g);
      Vitamin E Oil - 1% (4g);
      Essential Oils - 1% (4g);
      CO-2 Extract Oatmeal - 0,3% (1,2g)

      @@АлексейКуликов-б1ь wow! Thank you so much for replying and for kindly providing me with a recipe to follow. You're awesome! In your experience, is the CO2 oat extract of greater benefit to the skin than the colloidal oats?

    • @АлексейКуликов-б1ь
      @АлексейКуликов-б1ь 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@----m---- The last time I ordered colloidal oatmeal powder on Aroma-Zone 2 years ago, now there is nowhere to buy colloidal oatmeal in Russia, so I replaced it with CO2 oat extract. According to the experience of using, with CO2 extract of oats, I like to make cosmetics more, because CO2 extract is a pure product, there are no bacterial contaminants, you need less dosage than in powder. The percentage of biologically active substances in the CO2 extract is higher than in the powder of colloidal oatmeal.

    Had a reaction to the tape used, draping me during surgery last week. It was spine surgery, so I lave angry red, welted, EXTREMELY ITCHY tape lines all over my torso, front and back. I make CP soap, haven't delved too much into lotions or whipped butters yet. I had everything but the preservative, so I went for it. I upped the oats, (it's just for me so I figured if it came out a little weird, it's okay) and I will keep it in the fridge, and I really wanted lots of oats. This feels amazing. So happy, going to go slather it everywhere. Thank you!

  • @stanleyfox4201
    @stanleyfox4201 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I made this for the first time (and my first time making lotion. It turned out really well. I made to use the oat water method as I don't have C oats, only oat silk (I added some of that as well once it had cooked down. I didn't have an emulsifying wax so used 8g of Btms 50 and maybe 9g of cetearyl alcohol which worked perfectly (even if I do say so myself). I used mostly Shea but also used a bit of murmura cos I had it. I also added some fresh carrot juice to my oat water and once initially blended it was already thick (seemed to go thick immediately) so I added a few more tsp of carrot juice and a tsp of homemade orange oil. Thank you so much for this beautiful recipe which I will make again and again and thank you for all your wonderful recipes. How did you gain all your knowledge? Did you work in the industry? Wish I could attach a pic of my cream, I am so proud of it.

      Dammm your version sounds luxurious! Was it easy to absorb in the skin using BTMS 50? I have BTMS 25 and thinking to try that instead

    • @stanleyfox4201
      @stanleyfox4201 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Kayrenice_Naturals yes absorbs beautifully into the skin. I use half btms 50 and cetearyl alcohol. My friend's rave about it. But I think because of the fresh veg juice in this heat I did get a spot of mould (maybe I didn't use enough eco preservative. Anyway my friends and I now keep it in the fridge where it is fine and wonderfully cooling to put on the skin. One friend says it has helped his psoriasis. With Btms 50 it's more of a set consistency rather than lotion. It's like a light body butter, lovely for the summer. I guess with Btms 25 you would just double the amount. At some point I want to add tumeric at the oat infusion stage.

    I did this 3 times and each time my lotion got mold. Every other product I did by her did not - just this one. I am not sure what I may have done incorrectly. I used a different jar and still the same thing. Maybe I should try a different preservative (I used the exact one in the video). I have used that one in others (the winter face moisturizer, the hair cream, the creamy body wash, the foot lotion, etc.) and they are good. I have also used the same jars and again, no issues. I must have missed a step or something... I will try the whipped body butter and see if that works.
    I absolutely love the products and I hope the body butter works because my skin needs it - LOL!

    I've made a variation of this in the past. My main difference was the addition of fresh aloe vera juice.

      Aloe Vera juice is a great addition! I wanted to keep this tutorial simple but I love how much creative control you have when you make products yourself. Thanks for watching 😊

      I have been thinking of ways to include aloe into creams and lotions, because I have loads of plants outside. Any tips? I'm going to try this recipe soon, and would love to include aloe in it.

      Am not an expert, but I have read that, germall plus, is a good all-rounder. It's not natural though.

    Love your voice. I watched this last night now i'm here again. I gonna try this. Can i use silver water instead distilled water? Please also make DIY Lotion or cream for kids. Thank you .

      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aww thanks Anna, you're so sweet! Yes silver water will work just fine, the main concern is that the water doesn't have any unnecessary impurities in it but as long as it's bottled there shouldn't be a problem. Ooh that's a great idea, I'll see if I can come up with a good formula. Thanks again 💚💚

    Dear Elise, 💓your video :) I have few qns..
    1) Is this lotion only recommended for body , arms, legs.. and not for face right?
    2) Can we add Zinc oxide so as to give it a sun protection effect?
    If can, how much percentage would u recommend?
    Thank U :)

      Lotion, by definition, has water in it. But if you search for an oatmeal lotion bar that sounds more like what you're looking for.

      Look for NATURAL, non-GMO Leucidal Liquid SF. It's an Ecocert approved ingredient in organic products. I know the word preservative sounds scary and like something you'd definitely want to stay away from but this one is a probiotic-based ingredient created by the fermentation of Lactobacillus. It's not a chemical.
