I am not getting an option to rotate the picture in snip & sketch. I came here to see if that can be done but I think rotation option is still not available. Plz let me know if there is another way except using any other app like paint
If you are here, because the notification pop up after you take a snip has stopped popping up then; 1.Right Click notification centre on taskbar 2. Focus assist 3. Set to OFF (instead of alarms only)
I needed better quality images on my MSc than the older snipit could do, the text always looked fuzzy. I found that Greenshot images of text looked like text and have been using it ever since. I don't now how good the snip and sketch is, but apart from the ruler and protractor Greenshot does a lot more, and no window key shift s to remember, just print screen 'PrtSc' button on your keyboard. It is open source and I have now been using it for around 4 years, and as I said, is better than snipit / snip and sketch.

Unfortunately snip&sketchbdoes not have a way to rotate image. But- if you open the image using Paint (which has been around for decades) that program CAN do rotations to fix that issue. This isn’t a perfect solution but it’s the best I can do.

It's probably something in your settings or a temporary glitch. Restart your PC and try again. It works fine with all of my applications. This does not seem to be an issue any other users are reporting.
Good question. YES, if you have a program or app that edits PDF documents. Microsoft Word is one many people already have. Otherwise, no, there are no built in tools of Snip&Sketch to do that.
It is so people (students) can show other people (teachers) what they are seeing- they can ask questions with a supporting image of a complex question and say “help me with __”. It’s better than taking a photo 🤳🏼 with your phone and sending that.
@@aborne your video is only 4 minutes long. It's not like you pushed the edge of TH-cam's time limits. You missed explaining how the ruler can be rotated. You did not miss it because of time, and if you want the viewers to figure it all out themselves then you wouldn't have made the video. If you don't acknowledge genuine opportunities for improvement, you're never going to become a better videographer. My feedback is intended to help you do better. If you're just going to deny the opportunity to create better tutorials, why post them in the first place?

My snips never shopw up in the notification box. I snip and it highlights part of the screen but that is as far as it goes. Any ideas?

Hi Satwik, snip & sketch do not have a built in mechanism for making gifs. There are several 3rd party programs for doing that.

right click on snip and skitch and there will be option to pin it.
How to resize the rectangle selection?
The selection size is set when you release your mouse button. If you don't like the size and want to adjust, just hit the escape key and re do it.

Andrew Borne ok thank you. I just got a new laptop and was trying to figure out what different things do and how they work.
You can use to take image pics from you system or online and paste on power points for presentation and lots more
