This was an awesome presentation! Learned a lot about snip it.

I dont see myself using this feature since i have Epic Pen and a bunch of other software that already does all of this, except i do like the printing of sceen, the way it shapes replicating the actual form of the image your screenshoting. Thats kinda nice.
Hi Fellows; enjoyed the presentation. By trying out the protractor, I couldn't reduce the diameter. Turning the mouse's scroll wheel didn't do anything. What did I do wrong? Thanks
I am not sure why it is not working, as it does normally with no issues. Make sure that you have a mouse that is fully functional... the scroll wheel is working correctly... AND that you are pulling the wheel towards you to reduce, and pushing away from you to grow the diameter of the Protractor as necessary... Keeping in mind that it starts out at FULL diameter, so it must be reduced initially to see/effect a change...
They are available to you in the clipboard, as they are automatically copied there when they are snipped... IF you do not save them.... then you would need to modify the clipboard settings to let you access and use the clipboard history feature to access more than one snip... Here is how you can do that: Under system, go to clipboard, and toggle the clipboard history to "ON."
Rotate the ruler with the mouse... I think we may have actually covered that somewhere in the episode, but the flywheel or trackball on the mouse is used to rotate the ruler once you have selected it and it is on screen. Thanks for watching!
You've got 2 options. First, drag from corner to corner that you want to capture. Second option would be once you open the Snipping Tool and hover on "mode" in the menu and click on "Window Snip" and that should get you what you are looking for. If not, feel free to reply back.
I would like to know why whatever I "snip" comes out pitch black. Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong. This is Windows 10 on an HP Envy laptop.
We haven't heard of that being a common problem, therefore, we aren't sure of a solution. There seems to be some TH-cam videos that might be able to help: th-cam.com/video/QKAxbgvbzyM/w-d-xo.html
When you use the Snip & Sketch tool, the snips you create are copied and stored in the Windows Clipboard when they are created. You normally will get a pop-up window (Lower Left of your screen) that allows you to access the snip and work with it, but every so often it does not show up. You could just simply paste the snip into any document that will allow you to see it and work with it, as well as save it from there as any image type that you want.
Hi. Your Video = COMPLETE LIFESAVER!! Can you VERY PLEASE do a TH-cam Video on how to rotate "Snip & Sketch Ruler" WITH a TrackBall Computer Mouse and/or WITH the Keys of a Computer KeyBoard?? Please let me know as very soon as possible. I have been really struggling with this. Please.
@@ACILearning Thank you very much for getting back to me about this so soon - I truly appreciate it!! Please let there be a solution to this. Also, can I please ask one more thing??
@@ACILearning - So, I do not know if it is AT ALL possible (I have not found anything), but, I have really bad Penmanship. As far as I know, they have nothing, but, can you VERY PLEASE also make a TH-cam Video on how to Type in one's Snip & Sketches?? THIS will ALSO be EXTRAORDINARILY beneficial to, I have a feeling, not only me, but to ALOT of People.
I do not have printscreen on my keyboard. You need to go much slower and much less complicated. I'm looking for something very simple and plain vanilla. I want to know how to take a screen shot. How to save it. How to retrieve it. How to print it out.
You go lighting fast, genius./ I can't even see what you are doing, AND its too fast. Please slow it down a litle PLEASE. Thanks but I can not see what you are doing.
Right,, ruler and protractor, so useful.... and then there is no way to type text, or basic shape... THE MOST BASIC FEATURE... who TF cares about rulers and protractors when there is no Text??? and the fact
And no way to draw rectangles, ellipses or even arrows in one go. And no way to add a bit of text. This is a kids tool and not to be used in a Business environment. I'll still use Greenshot

i actually learned alot
Happy to hear that!
How do I see my snip and sketch photos that weren't saved, or was it forever deleted?

@@ACILearning thx man
I do not how to rotate the ruler by mouse. Could you illustrate that by showing directly to your screen?

How can I snip the entire page on the screen? Not just the page on my screen but the hidden screen not fully displayed

I make a snip but I didn’t get a picture on the laptop

Glad the video was helpful! We'll let Adam know your suggestion. I can see how that might be tricky with that kind of mouse.

We just recorded a part 2 to Snip & Sketch th-cam.com/video/snhmvlmjUc8/w-d-xo.html check it out and see if it helps answer any of your questions.

2 men should never be on screen together while talking over each other

I'll still use Greenshot
I agree. Greenshot and ShareX are better.
It's the dumbest thing ever. Why not just let people draw and edit shapes or include useful markup stamps , etc. This is very dumb.
Maybe a new playlist idea? "Dumb Features in Windows 10"
You might want to try Greenshot or ShareX.
Another reason why Windows 10 is trash. I mean a screen grab that has no text option.
