This is AWESOME! My 2012 KIA SOUL PLUS camera worked on and off last year 2021 then went to a black screen but shows the colored lines for the camera ... And then in January 2022 my the UVO SYSTEM quit playing sound, just makes beeps when I touch the screen. But everything shows up on the screen for that. Although sometimes the clock And channels reset when I start the car but not always. Tried soft and hard reset nothing changed checked fuses. Still have a few more to check. I bought the multimeter this week a long with the panel removal tools. Need some warmer weather -35degree F temperature doesn't work so well working on this,Going to try all that you just showed us. Any thoughts on my issues feel free to reply. THANK YOU!!!
you might have a audio unit issue and a camera issue going on. I only say this due to the year of the vehicle and the camera issue is very common. thanks for watching.
I ordered another head unit off of eBay. Not sure if it will work thinking start with the least expensive item... Wondering do you know if I have to do something special once I put it in? Awesome video sir! i have a question. I have an android HU and i'm trying to connect it to the OEM camera using RCA. connected the video wires to rca + and -. And for the power i used a step down module to convert the 12 volts coming from headlamp to 6 volts. i'm running at 6.1 volts to be exact and the camera is up but the image is hazy. Do i have to rise the voltage to 6.5 volts? or it's a video signal error not power problem? Thanks!
Make sure its the head unit and not the camera. Kia and hyundai have an exhange program for the radios, you can call them and see what the prices is, typically its around the same price and an aftermarket radio(with installation)

typically yes. If there is voltage leading to the rear of the vehicle and the camera does not turn on, you more than**** likely**** have a faulty camera. always make sure to check your grounds/powers/signals leading into the audio unit. then test the out puts. thanks for watching.
So you replaced that aux then tested it. Im lost. Did you put in the new part then tested that it was good...i must have missed when you said it needs replaced but i didn't see you do the replacement.
My camera displays in black and white and double vision? I tested the camera on a monitor with AV and its always active and it was clear and in color using the monitor, the guide lines get added when I put the car in reverse, I also tested the headunits AV video input and it was fine also, any ideas? if both work but just not together lol, this is a Sync 3 head unit using a camera that was for my Sync 1.
When you put the car into reverse you would expect the display to change but it didn't so it's like the audio unit wasn't seeing reverse switch input, does the audio unit have a factory reset function just in case it was a software glitch in the unit?
The audio unit screen will only change if it has a video feed back from the camera.. Since there was no power leading to the camera, the camera rid not turn on, which in turn means that there is not signal being sent to the audio unit, telling it to switch screens. Thanks for watching..
@@JLsAutoSolution but my understanding is that if the reverse gear is not recognised or received then the audio unit will not switch on the power to the camera if that makes sense? I know you replaced the audio unit and it worked But with so much software in systems these days things can malfunction and sometimes it may just need a factory reset (if there was an option for this in the menu) Sometimes it's not obvious and there other ways eg Holding down certain buttons to enable hidden menus etc.

@@PandaRC SINCE THERE IS CHANGE ON THE SCREEN THAT INDICATED THAT ITS RECIVING ALL THE RIGHT SIGNALS BUT IS UNABLE TO DIPLAY AN IMAGE- I WOULD VERIFY AT THE CAMERA AT THIS POINT..
I am having the same problem with my reverse cam, i already tried resetting to factory but still the same problem. is it possible that my camera is broken? tnx

How much was the replacement radio? Is it better to go aftermarket?I have the same problem with head unit

How can install backup camera for 2005 ford Taurus?
if it's the after market back up camera's, then they come with instructions but you typically need a wiring diagram also
