I was not ready for that last one. I've learned about animals who will mutilate their own intestines if something severe enough happens to expose them, but a man voluntarily yanking his own intestines out is just something else.
That was surreal, very nightmarish!
I honestly feel sick after hearing that, and I'm not terribly squeamish.

Neighbor lady was telling her other neighbors that in her village a midwife yanked the intestines outta the Mother who had just delivered, believing them to be snakes. Now I think it's an exaggeration,coz of it was a natural birth....how could it be possible.....but really gave teen me nightmares

Yeah, never put anything in your butt which wasn't specifically designed to go there, and never swallow anything which isn't a food, beverage or an indicated medication. It's awe inspiring that some French guy ate an entire railway locomotive over a period of a couple of decades, and an American ate an entire aircraft over a slightly shorter period of time, but that's not planes and trains are for. A slinky, for God's sake ? They exist to be a disappointing toy for children.

For me, I was interested in 'we found out how they died' stories. Like watching NCIS. It's morbidly interesting. But that last one was a totally different format, it was legitimately an eyewitness account of how someone died in a horrific manner. It's just...different.
Sometimes people watch these things to ward off hunger. 😁

They're really comfortable talking about bowel movements and bodily fluids, and I gagged once from touching a dirty dish in the sink the wrong way. I mean, I know it's for the sake of helping others, but you have to work through blood, guts, phlegm, and vomit to do it lol.
And that's not even going into the fact that some people refuse to do their freaking jobs even though they literally have someone's life in their hands. I couldn't deal with that either.

It's like I got kicked in the crotch, I didn't realize my body would react to the knowledge of how that guy died, so physically

Intestines*
Not as much an insane death as the story of how it got there. So, Christmas Eve, my aunt (60-ish at the time) slips on a step and breaks her leg (the femur). Taken to the hospital, where she stays for a while. Docs say they can fix it easily, and put her into a medically induced coma. Apparently her liver was weak, because the heavy medication caused it to fail. In a desperate attempt to get her out of the coma asap, they decided to amputate the leg. She's out of the coma, but her liver is still failing. They're saying she must've been a serious alcoholic at the rate it's going, but she only ever drank once in her entire life, and it was just a sip from a can, so that can't be it. She's sent between two hospitals because it looks like she's gonna die, and she's high on the transplant list but there just isn't enough. She died on the freeway to one of the buildings because there was no way in hell either hospital wanted her dying on their watch. Due to insane grandma claiming my aunt was poisoned by my family (we were in another state halfway across the country the entire time grandma wtf), her body was sent off to be investigated. She wasn't even at her own funeral.
So, death by liver failure? Death by medical malpractice, which we were told it very well might have been? No. Because nobody wanted to deal with that bullshit, her death certificate says she died of a broken leg. A broken fucking leg.
This is why I have serious anxiety when it comes to doctors and my own vast array of medical issues. There are just too many ways things can go wrong with me, and that's with the more abnormal genetic shit that can fuck me over.
Being alive is horrifying.
That last story made Mortal Kombat look like an E10 game...

This sort of reminds me of an improv game my theater class played once. We were given a scenario (e.g. "Christmas party") and each student took turns entering the "stage" section of the classroom and interacting with the handful of students who had volunteered to be the "alive characters" (in that case the host of the party). It had to make sense in the scenario we were given. At some point without warning the teacher would say "Now", and your character had to die right then, in a plausible way. Those who simply feigned heart attacks got the lowest grades, points were given for creativity. On my turn, I insisted to the host that I could set up the Christmas lights, miming hanging a string of lights, asking where the outlet was. When the teacher said "now" I said "Oh, I should probably plug these in", then did what I hope was an accurate imitation of being electrocuted.
TL;DR: Theater class improv game. Objective: think of a unique way for your character to die at a moment's notice.
i remember playing this one time and having the brilliant idea at some point to look out a "window" on the stock set we couldn't remove from the stage (it was really just a hole, had no idea what was back there). teacher says "now". not even thinking, i just nonchalantly as ever dive through the window.
thankfully there wasn't anything too bad back there, but even the teacher was a little worried because she thought there was something like nails or something equally hazardous waiting for me on the floor behind the set.

I live in turkey ppl eat so much here some day at a islamic celebration we call sacrifice day ppl sacrifice sheeps to eat give some to charity so a family was eating kebap somebody ate too much that killed him i dont know why but ppl said his intalestines couldnt handle it and it stop after days he said he died because his body didnt get fed well so he died (sry for bad english)

It turns out that the man has been walking around for several years with an aneurisme near the heart and when he started laughing, it burstet. the official cause of death. "he laugth him selv to death."

I think it counts as separate crimes - assault and murder.

Double jeopardy is one of those laws that don't work as long as the legal establishment insists on following the letter of the law rather than the intent. Loopholes are easy to make.

That last one was a lot worse then any of the others. I cannot get over how he didn’t die from his injuries before getting to the doctors with something as bad as that and then what he did on the examination table just made me sick. I’m suddenly not very hungry anymore. if it wasn’t for that last one I would’ve been just fine and would be getting something to eat right now. But after that last one now I think I’m gonna pass on food for a bit.

Why are hope chests air tight? There's no reason for them to be.
Like any chest, they’re meant to preserve and keep the items inside of them safe. I can think of a dozen pests that people wouldn’t want destroying items inside (bookworms, moths, etc). So while they aren’t airtight, they also aren’t supposed to have air holes in them either.
Most are air tight and made of cedar. Dad broke the lock of Grandma's chest just in case I climbed in it. I liked napping in hidey holes like that.

@@robertharris6092 It's called keeping your children away from dangerous things, yknow, like ovens, and washing machines, they're just as dangerous, keep the chest where they can't get to it or can't open it, the point is preserving, if it's not airtight, then the chest in itself has no reason for existing, but sometimes you want to preserve certain things so they don't get destroyed with age or by, as the other person said, moths, which eat cloth, very destructive, and some things just cannot be replaced, but you CAN keep kids out of it.
Even if the last story is fake, the imagery is simply gut-wrenching.

Heard of a local story that happened within the last 20 years. Some old fella used to hold his nose while he sneezed, a harmless action you'd initially assume. One day after blocking a sneeze doing just that he popped his eyes out of his head and burst multiple blood vessels in his brain and died within a few short seconds.

I worked at a funeral home for a couple years. Never saw any too Bizzare, but ran into some people that died in really horrific ways like getting sucked into industrial machinery and stuff like that. Also sad stuff like a girl in her late teens who died from cystic fibrosis.

A few weeks ago there was this horrible accindent in a near small town: a girl got hit by a car and she immediately died because her limbs flew off her body. The police couldn't find a leg so they knocked on the doors of some of the surrounding houses. One of my friends had this visit. The leg was on their tree in their backyard.

One time on duty during winter (I'm a security guard) I was patrolling near the entrance to a contractor's place of residence and saw that the was a red and brown patch near the drive way... upon further inspection it was intestines and blood of what I believed to be a rabbit
