Saw neighbor overdose and die. His girlfriend did CPR. Brought him back untill EMTs arrived. He died 4 times that day. He lived and changed his life around, even married his girlfriend.

The one about the dad running his wife & daughter off the road and all the EMT could find was a little arm broke my heart and/made me cry. Most of these videos don't make me cry, but wow. That's one of the most tragic things I've ever heard

That story hit me different… I felt immense anger at him smiling and flirting with the cop who took his mugshot

God speed. I was in a demo class in trade school for a day and I put those skills to use in a few emergencies. Why I bought a few first aid kits in my job and they got pissy with me saying it's not my job.... Never say that in a place that is full of sharp objects.

My dad was an EMT in the 80s. He responded to a call where a man was shot in the head. No exit wound. He was still alive and conscious. In the ambulance, the guy was screaming, “How dare he do this to me. I’m gonna fuck him up when I get out!”. Then he coded. My dad knew he wouldn’t survive anyway, since when there’s no exit wound the bullet ricochets in the brain and causes irreparable damage. But it was amazing how he was still alive for that long.

“I can already feel the flames. It’s hotter than than the ovens I ran back in Germany. Make sure you don’t end up going where I’m headed.”
    Here’s the story:
My very first run as an EMT was to a 90 year old woman that had a stroke. She was completely unresponsive, but was still breathing.
We loaded her into the ambulance, and on the way to the hospital she woke up, stared straight at me, and said,
“I can already feel the flames. It’s hotter than than the ovens I ran back in Germany. Make sure you don’t end up going where I’m headed.”
She then coded and we never got her back.
I have no clue as to what this woman’s past was, but those words haunt me to this day.

All sins can be forgiven of man. Question is can you forgive yourself enough to ask for it.

Wasn’t words, it was the look on a woman’s face when she was riding with us. Threw a massive clot, heart attack, and died in less than two minutes. She could tell, she knew she was dying and you could see it on her face. Still worked her for almost an hour before we made it to the nearest hospital.
Second. “The stars are falling and won’t stay up, no matter how many times we throw them back.”
Dude was schizophrenic, off his meds. But this is something he said and it just stuck with me.

My mother's last words (April 2010) were "I don't need a ****ing ambulance, I need a last cigarette and a last Coke". She got them, by the time the ambulance got there, she was catatonic from a stroke.

I remember the nice Sikh doctor praying for me when when they couldn't find a vein and they thought I had died. From any religion it's a nice last thing to hear.

That one about the doctor who made the EMT go tell the family that the patient had passed after having called the hospital and told them the patient was stable makes me so mad. It's like the doctor was acting like the EMT did it on purpose. The patient had good, stable vitals then crashed out of nowhere.

My dad died of cancer, his last day he was delirious and kept saying how cold it was despite it being 90°F. His last words were “it’s so warm.” My entire family are atheists, but I’m glad there wherever he may have gone it’s finally warm again

The guy who wanted to murder that piece of shit "father" who got his infant daughter killed should've done it. I don't think anyone in their right mind would convict him of anything and he would've done the world a MASSIVE favor.

The last words I heard from my cousin in his moms room after being shot was “I don’t want to die, I’m not ready.” Shit hurt me because here I am 21 and he’d have been 22 now 3 years after that.
