Jaws: The Revenge (also known as Jaws 4: The Revenge or Jaws 4) is a 1987 American horror thriller film produced and directed by Joseph Sargent, and starring Lorraine Gary, Lance Guest, Mario Van Peebles, and Michael Caine. It is the third sequel to Steven Spielberg's Jaws, and the fourth and final installment in the Jaws franchise.

3:10 The reason why Indy's dad died regardless of drinking from the grail can be easily explained in a line the Knight said in that movie: "The Grail cannot pass beyond the Great Seal, for that is the boundary, and the price, of immortality." As in anyone who leaves that cave becomes mortal again.
Except earlier on in the movie they stated the 2 other brothers of the knight lived to an extremely old age. So unless indy's dad died of like a car crash or murder or something he still should have been alive.

Funny you would note that/them stating that, as originally that character did NOT live...but test audiences hated that he died, so they 'fixed' it, adding yet another layer of 'WTF' to this godawful excuse for a film.

Also, since when did actors being alive in real life prohibit our ability to have the characters they portray in movies, etc, be dead, or pass on?! I guess they can't convince us Walter Donovan died at the fate of the false grail, because actor Crispin Glover is alive! Lol! Seriously, nostalgia critic. That was not a valid criticism. An amazing actress who died tragically and way too young...
The kitchen scene when she and Lance Guest mimick each other (a reference to the first movie) was so cute and one of the only decent things of Jaws 4
That’s putting it lightly.
For those who don’t know, Judith Barsi, who plays the little girl in this film and was also the voice of Ducky from The Land Before Time and Ann Marie from All Dogs Go to Heaven was murdered by her father in 1988. He’d been threatening to kill both her and her mother for some time, and in the summer of 1988, he shot and killed both of them before taking his own life. Barsi was 10 years old at her death.
Doug mentions in several of his other reviews that the overall quality of Don Bluth’s films dropped in the 90’s, specifically that All Dogs Go to Heaven was the last of Bluth’s great films. It is possible that Barsi’s murder was a contributing factor to this downturn.

Sure. Mr. Brody could tell a story. You could really believe you have been there and watch the whole thing in front of you. And he told her that story like 500 times so she really remembered that. At one time Mrs. Brody wished that was her who was blown to pieces so she didnt had to listen to that stupid story again but she got over it and that story stuck in her head in the end.

The shark looks so FAKE in this movie. It makes absolutely no sense at all. When the first Jaws came along back in 1975, the shark looked so REAL. They used practical effects. They even used practical effects in this as well. Yes, it’s even worse than the practical effects used in Jaws 3D.

The witch doctor would use some sort of magic crap on the shark, making it chase the Brodys to the Bahamas. Sounds very dumb and illogical, but that's what actually was gonna happen.

Technically it's not the original shark (for the sake of the argument his name will be "Bruce") it's technically Bruce's child. The shark in Jaws 2 is Bruce's mate "Brucette. The shark in the 3rd movie is not cannonly related to The Bruce Clan. Hell Bruce Jr. probably never even met Bruce and you expect us to believe it would travel 3000 miles to kill the family just because the police chief killed it's pop?

It blew up cause the producers said "We need the shark to explode." The movie was already filmed and done, the ending was suppose to just be that she stabbed the shark with the boat, but once the producers saw that they said "Nah man.. this is a Jaws movie, throw an explosion in there."

So interesting fact I just watch this review and Jaws revenge is on Netflix right now Netflix has put an altered version on Netflix showing that his friend didn't survive the shark attack and weird and then they just show them phasing-out to the airplane and the shark floating down to the bottom of the ocean with the front of the ship attached to him as he bleeds out weird blows my mind why would Netflix do this

That is the original ending of the movie. Audiences who saw the movie in its first week of release criticized the ending, so Universal actually called the cast back together (hence, why Michael Caine could not accept his Oscar for "Hannah and Her Sisters" in person) to film the alternate ending. The new ending was tacked on to all reels shipped out to theaters when the film's initial run expanded nationwide. This meant that there were a small number of theaters showing the original ending while other cinemas right down the street showed the altered version.

TBH that ending has *MUCH MORE SENSE* than the Theatrical ending
3:13; In that film's defense, the Knight did say that the Grail could not pass beyond the Great Seal, meaning that the effect of everlasting life would only last as long as that person did not pass beyond said Great Seal. Since Henry Sr. did so after drinking from the Grail, it makes that sense that he would be dead by the time of Crystal Skull.
Yeah, it's not like he would walk around, living his regular old man's life... for the rest of eternity. Imagine how stupid it would be if they brought up something like that.
But either way why killing him off? Sure, you need an excuse to not have him around, but you don't necessairly need one to not have him alive!

The first Jaws is one of my favorite movies. Jaws 2 wasn't needed, but it was decent effort. Jaws 3 was stupid. Jaws 4 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Pretty much, yeah. I’ll admit I’ve got more than my fair share of guilty pleasures of movies and typically think that it’s stupid to call something so bad that only idiots could like it. But Jaws 3 and 4 are a couple of the ONLY exceptions to that.
Honestly I'd rate Jaws 4 above Jaws 3d. Jaws 4 is at least unintentionally hilarious, Jaws 3d is both bad and dull.

Best true story I ever read: Guy was at the beach in Mexico with his nephew. A shark came up and bit the kid's arm off. The uncle ran into the water, dragged the shark onto the beach and then cut the shark open and got his nephew's arm out. I don't remember whether they successfully reattached it.

No. NOT the same. In Jaws, the shark is not provoked. It just starts munching on people. In ORCA the killer whale is out to get ONE guy (Nolan) who killed his mate and unborn baby on a whaling expedition.

I remember loving this movie as a kid, and hating it when I saw it again a few years later... Now it falls into the so-bad-its-good category, and that banana boat scene is still epic, and that roar... No words can explain my delirious laughter after hearing a fucking shark roar!

In case anyone is wondering what happened, in 1988 Judith Barsi (the young actress in this movie who plays Thea and is better known as Ducky from “The Land Before Time” and Anna Marie from “All Dogs Go to Heaven”) was shot and killed by her father along with her mother. After he’d sobered up long enough to see what he’d done, he used the weapon to take his own life. Barsi was ten at her death.

I remember back when I was a kid watching this in the early 90's and being actually kind of Impressed by some of the attack scenes in this movie! Apart from the dodgy mouth-cam shots in part 3 this is the only jaws film where we actually see the shark chewing on it's victims underwater! Also they obviously tried to make the shark look more realistic by producing an animatronic with more movement in the jaws and snout areas. Unfortunately though they completely failed in this by allowing us to be able to see cables and various other machinery sticking out of the sharks underside in many underwater shots, and this is even more obvious on VHS format! The other ending is also moderately better, rather than the weird exploding toy shark ending there is another version where Ellen simply rams the shark with the broken mast impaling it, then under the weight of the massive shark stuck upon it, the ship breaks in half Titanic style and the dead shark sinks into the abyss in scene shamelessly stolen from the original Jaws! Also Jake doesn't randomly come back from the jaws of the shark in this version! Both versions have that amazing scene where Michael Caine has time to say "oh shit" before shark dodging and out-swimming the giant 40 foot monster back to the boat! It really is the best part of the movie!! lol..

Yeah, I was expecting it to be that because the Channel Awesome tags are always a line, scream or sound effect that the critic either complains or go crazy over about during the review. For example: The "Bayynkk accyynts" from the Double Team review or the "Male academia" from the Catwoman one.
Then again, it could have been Jaws roaring, since the Critic of course made a big deal out of that sounding like Jerry in the review.

You and the film makers ALMOST nailed what usually happens in a funeral. Sure, I don't know how many funerals you attended but people often laugh because not only they remind each other of the good memories but it's often the only time all the family members are all together at the same time... They're happy to see each others.
But I have a nuance to point out: when we are at funeral or wake we usually knew ahead of time that the person would die eventually because they were old and ill. When it's an accident, especially horrible ones, the atmosphere is not the same. But I still never saw anyone looking at anyone else like if they were crazy from a nervous laugh... Maybe because my family is understanding or maybe I didn't pay attention well enough but I literally never see it happens.
Someone I know said that when he heard of his mother's death (he wasn't present), he broke down into maniacal laughter. Grief is strange.

Maybe he knew nothing about her or what happened.
For those who don’t know, Judith Barsi, the little girl who played Thea in this movie, was murdered in cold blood by her father who then proceeded to kill her mother and himself as well. Barsi was ten at her death.
Critic mentions in some of his other reviews that the quality of Don Bluth’s films dropped off in the 90’s, specifically that All Dogs Go To Heaven (which was Judith Barsi’s last film) was Bluth’s last great film and everything that came after ranged from Just Meh to Terrible. It’s possible that Barsi’s murder was a contributing factor to this downturn.

I agree. They were on the right track killing off Sean. It was scary. And it was one of the few nighttime attacks in the whole series. But they fucked the rest of the movie up.
I respect your opinion but actually couldn't help but laugh at Sean's death. The choice to intercut it several times with benign Christmas caroling didn't underscore the horror or sadness of the moment for me but instead threw it completely off.
