What a fabulous video Emily! That's what I love about you, you come up with different videos than anyone else on TH-cam and you're not snobby about brands either which so many YT gurus are. What people forget is that HE brands have to pay for all their advertising//fancy packaging so of course they will charge 2x, 3x, sometimes even 5x or 10x the price for the SAME product (different packaging/label) at the drugstore! Value for money is what is key, as you've shown here, so thank you! xxx

I don't think I love any guru more than I love you Emily. You always show options for both higher end and drugstore. You always show comparative products for those of us who are trying to cut down on spending. But I also love how sometimes you throw in things you think are worth splurging for.
To add to the list would be an absolute fav eyeliner and it's the Annabelle smoothliner. The pigmentation is fantastic and real creamy but not too overly creamy and also very well priced for 1.2 grams of product. I've had my black one for just over a year using it almost every day before it was finished.
Hope you feel better soon. My walmart is ALWAYS out of stock of the Hard Candy Primer... I've been trying for weeks to get my hands on it. I got the glam-o-flauge concealer and i like it a lot, so thank you so much for recommending it.

I really enjoyed this vid - putting the prices/amount of product side-by-side was very useful too. I love NYX and Rimmel lip glosses and get many compliments. Recently, I bought MicaBella loose eyeshadows and lip balm. The sales pitch was really annoying at the mall but when I got home and tried them I had to admit to myself that I enjoyed them and the price was reasonable, I will be going back for more plus they have many colours to choose from. GREAT comparison! I gave up buying anything but either NYX or Avon lipglosses because of the things you mentioned....both have good color selection and both are around 3.99 and non-sticky. As badly as I hated to give up my MAC lipsticks, I did, due to price and switched to Avon lipsticks which are really nice and half the price. I do like Revlon lipsticks as well.

Emily, I got the Olay Pro X face cleansing brush about a week and a half ago. Ive been using it twice daily and I love it! I highly recommend it . It was only 30 dollars and many are saying it is comparable to the Clarisonic. The Clarisonic can go for over two hundred dollars!! I know u like a bargain girl and u have passed that on to me. I used to be a makeup snob, but find it more fulfilling to find lovely products at a great deal now. Hope you try the Olay brush. My skin is smooth as ever!

I'm a freshman in college so I don't have a lot of money to be spending on makeup, but I trust your reviews so I trust the drugstore brands and I often find myself purchasing them over high end brands! I love a good value. I like to use E.L.F's cream shadow duo's ($1) as a shadow base. It works great for that purpose and it much less than mac's paint pots and even less expensive than NYX's shadow sticks that I also love.

@xZombieCourtneyx I swear by the NYC Creme Sticks and I use them both ways. Either way, they look great. If I use a powder over top I use a very light pink blush and just pat enough on to set it. If you want more of the dewy glowy look, they work just fine without powder. I didn't notice any transfer or anything like that.

great vid emily! this is similar to gossmakeupartist video, i think it was the 'size matters'. anyway, his was a comparison of high end products (mac vs mufe vs whatever) which is great because if you're gonna blow money on makeup then at least make it count.. but i love your video because you're doing the drugstore version which is amazing!!!

get a netti pot and golden seal (liquid dropper) for the stuffy nose! my acupuncturist recommended this to me and it has helped with the sinus infections so much.

This was a GREAT vid Emily. Wonderful concept. About those Stila glosses. I love them myself, BUT ELF makes a dupe (Im sure you've probably already did a vid on elfs Hypershine..lol) that are obviously a much better buy. Exact same dispenser/packaging and the product is completely comparable. For a buck! .08oz for 22 is just blatant gouging in my opinion. But, people gobble them up!

@sameghan some Targets carry Boots, but I dont know about all of them, and they only carry the makeup anyway I believe. As far as I know, you can only get the Oilatum moisterizer in the UK. Its so annoying because I want it too after watching Nic from Pixiwoo use it all the time haha
Great job; thank you for all your research! I am turning away from the high end cosmetics to the great quality of the "drug store" ones. I just tried the L'Oreal Souffle makeup - LOVE it! I don't need the L'Oreal Studio Secrets Primer underneath - it fills in all my pores all on it's own and lasts me all day! Thanks again.

get a netti pot and golden seal (liquid dropper) for the stuffy nose! my acupuncturist recommended this to me and it has helped with the sinus infections so much.

This was a GREAT vid Emily. Wonderful concept. About those Stila glosses. I love them myself, BUT ELF makes a dupe (Im sure you've probably already did a vid on elfs Hypershine..lol) that are obviously a much better buy. Exact same dispenser/packaging and the product is completely comparable. For a buck! .08oz for 22 is just blatant gouging in my opinion. But, people gobble them up!

@sameghan some Targets carry Boots, but I dont know about all of them, and they only carry the makeup anyway I believe. As far as I know, you can only get the Oilatum moisterizer in the UK. Its so annoying because I want it too after watching Nic from Pixiwoo use it all the time haha

I just tried the L'Oreal Souffle makeup - LOVE it! I don't need the L'Oreal Studio Secrets Primer underneath - it fills in all my pores all on it's own and lasts me all day!

thanks for the video. i keep forgetting to pick up NYx lipgloss, but i will try to remember it this week . i have two color icons wet n wild. but i find that they dont stay on my lid very well. *i always use primer Smashbox usually* so im hesitant to buy anymore . ill have to try it with a creme base. do you find that too?
