there might be a reupload on another channel, try searching the name of the old video and then type 'reupload', I hope you find what you're looking for
can't wait for part 2! SUCH a good video idea. I hope all the beauty gurus do a tag video on it. I have always heard about certain dupes and wondered whether the dupe or the high end product is truly worth the money.
I love that you take a moment inbetween speaking about products to show them and the name on the screen in your videos so that we can pause to write it down! Thank you!!
you are the best beauty advisor ever! so articulate, so precise, so informed and a great personality to carry that all off! i have learned more from you in the past week than from other beauty gurus in the past 3 years!
I LOVE your attitude about makeup Emily! Yes certain high end products are worth the $, but it's sooo practical to find drugstore products that do essentially the same things. Thank you for all your hard work to get us this info!
Love your dupe series. You can really tell that you are actually using the dupes long enough to give a good description. I really like your eye shadow dupe video. Plus you give more than one item for us to try out on the dupe side. Keep up with this type of series..... We all love the high end and we use them, but, we also need to complete our collection with some moderately priced products that are just AS GOOD!!!!!
I love you for doing this dupe series! I'm obsessed with finding dupes as I live in New Zealand and everything is very, very expensive. So thank you so much for taking the time to do this! :D
BEST series. I've been trying out a lot of drug store products for a while, and of course i've encountered both good and bad ones... I don't know why but sometime along the way i decided that I wanted to start investing in better quality make up in order to create a set of things i would repurchase and maintain through out time.. you just reminded me of how great it feels to find cheaper and better versions of high end products!
Out of all the guru's I watch (ALOT) your videos are the most interesting/informative. This is exactly why we subscribers come to youtube, for stuff like this. Thank you! I hope to see more
I LOVE your videos. Most beauty gurus say stuff like "oh, I like this product" and stuff like that but you give SO much more information and really tell us about the product well. I really appreciate thAt :)
thank you for showing this video!! it is so helpful to know what drug store or cheaper alternatives products there are that really work just as good as higher end brands. i am also glad you are doing another video on what higher end products are worth the money because i have been wanting to get a few higher end products i just dont know where to start. you are so helpful in all of your videos and so fun to watch!!!!
I just bought the Hard Candy Sheer Primer and I like it so far. You don't need a ton of the product on your face which is nice. I like your videos and how informative you are. You just gained a new subscriber!
Emily, thank you for being so honest! I feel like you are one of the only gurus I can actually trust. Also, Neutrogena's acne-free makeup is a good, cheaper dupe for Clinique's acne makeup.
Emily, thank you so much for showing everyone that good makeup doesn't always have to be the most expensive. You are so down to earth, I love you for this : )
Hard Candy primer is always out of stock at my local Wal-Mart. Right now I'm using Tarte Clean Slate which I really do love over all of the other ends I've tried. I honestly think most of the MAC products I've tried are over-rated. Some of their shadows are amazing but no more than say the CG quads or ELF Brightening quads. This is a great video! You did a fantastic job!!
Thanks for another well done video. Your one of my favorites on TH-cam. I've always turned my nose up at ELF. Looks like I'll have to try them. Lancome and L'Oreal are made by the same company. Hypnose is one of my favorite mascaras. I've also been using Tarte's Gifted Mascara in the bamboo tube. Wow! Makes your lashes nice thick and long. I do have to work at it a bit. Can't wait to see part 2.
You are one of my new favourite makeup girls here on TH-cam- a lot of the beauty gurus are all about Mac, and other really expensive brands and act like buying drugstore products is gross and that they all suck, and if you dont buy products from the highend brands you're stupid! Thanks so much for having great suggestions for drugstore products and not giving in to the hype :)
Hard Candy Sheer Envy is kind of amazing. I can't get over how long my makeup tends to last if I use a bit of it! Some foundations have a primer built in to them, though, so you just gotta watch out for that. I saw you wearing Corallina in a video and just about DIED, it was so gorgeous! I have that shade, plus Luminoso, and highly recommend them. Oh, NYX lipliners...they top any other I've ever used.
A gel liner that I have found that works great along with the wet and wild is the L'Oreal HIP Gel liner. It's really black and smooths on nicely while also having great staying power! Love your videos Emily!
L'oreal Voluminous carbon black is my favorite! It's the blackest black,& even though it's for volume, it gives me length as well. And I agree with the wet n wild creme liner, it's excellent and won't budge.
I love the Wet n' Wild gel eyeliner. The staying power is fantastic. What I do that really does add to it though is set it with the matte black eyeshadow from the Blue Had Me At Hello palette. I never have to clean up with a q tip or reapply eyeliner or eyeshadow. I use an angled brush for both, and still have an amazing line.
I've been having my eye on the Wet N' Wild cream eyeliner for awhile now but wasn't sure how well it would stand up to my Coastal Scents gel liner but after seeing you compare it to MAC's Fluidline and talk about its performance I'll definitely consider buying it in the near future. Thanks for more great dupes!
I told myself before I watched this " If L'oreals Vouminus Carbon Black isn't in here I wouldnt know why!" I love it. I just purchased it for the first time to replace my They're Real mascara by benefit and they are completely the same but the color I love. Great dupe choice, Emily
I love your videos Emily! I find them so helpful and trustworthy since you seem to be so professional and genuinely out to help people; whereas I feel that a lot of the teen gurus on here are not.
Thanks for another great vid, Emily! On your recommendation I bought the Hard Candy Glamoflage concealer and LOVE it! A very small amount covers everything and looks really natural too, plus it's considerably less expensive than other concealers so it's well worth the money. Thanks again!
This video just makes me feel even better about not wasting my money on high end products. My makeup collection is mostly drug store, one lip stick from MAC and a couple of things from Urban Decay, but I always go back to the drugstore brands.
Thanks for doing all the work for us! I totally trust your opinion based on how you do actually have the high-end products as well. Like always, good job!
Love your dupe videos,I'm a sucker for high end products sand wouldn't even give cheap ones a chance till I started watching your dupe videos. This may sound silly but sometimes just to make myself feel better I'll going to bed and drop nyx liner into my Bobby Brown container and there's no difference I feel great
Wow, what an excellent, comprehensive video!!! I love the Milani blushes, eyebrow pencil and glitter polishes. The NYX liners and HD eyeshadow base are great! I have to check out ELF. I don't have a lot to spend therefore appreciate knowing on what not to splurge.
Thank you so much! I love looking for dupes, and I just love your suggestions! You just performed a wonderful service to all of us that can't always afford high-end products.
I love the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer, I use it all the time!! The only thing I don't like about it is if you don't shake it up it tends to come out a bit runny, or not runny enough, if that makes since. Great video! :)
Thank you so much, Emily. Once again, took copious notes in my cellphone to have with me in my local drugstores. I have a hard time finding Milani and NYX here in Alabama. It's always NYC that they seem to stock at my closest RiteAid. You worked so hard! Love all the purple dupes-my favorite color & good on my greenish/hazel eyes.
I've never tried the Palladio Herbal primer but Jordana has an eyelid primer that comes in a pot, costs $1.00 some ppl have gotten it for $1.49 so far that's the best eyelid primer I've ever tried it's creamy I love it cause it covers my discolored eyelids, makes my eyeshadows pop and last all day. Ruby Kisses (another beauty Supply store brand) has a High Definition eyelid primer out that's really awesome and it's only $2.99, elf has them all beat when it comes to price. Thanks Emily : )
Thanks so much for this! I'm always looking for deals one hundred percent of the time and I completely respect your opinions on all things beauty! Love you Em!
I'd like to see more of these videos ..... I hope you continue making more of these videos comparing even more products! I'm such a Nars, Mac, Urban Decay girl....costs me tons of money....I'd like to see dupes on makeup brushes....also perhaps skincare, as well! Great job!!!
love love love this video. very helpful and great advice for top high end products that are almost identical to very cheap wonderful products! Thanks for this video!!
Thank You Emily! You always make the most informative videos about great low cost make up. I have never used any of the high end ones but if your belive those other ones are great dupes I believe you without a doubt. I've learned that you are always on the dot with your reviews and completely trust your recommendations. Always looking forward to your videos, specially haul, faves, shopping ideas, and reviews. :) Thanks.
Not gonna lie, I love using the Monostat anti-chaffing powder gel for face primer and the dollar elf eye primer for my eyes. They are amazing! Muggy Minnesota summers never stood a chance against them. Bonus, the powder gel can be stashed in a purse to touch up or to stop irritation in sensitive areas,
one of my favorite eye primers is from elf. I'm pretty sure its the 3 dollar one but it works like a charm for a very cheap product and so far as I'm using it with all different look that I use I have seen no creasing that I need to fix during the day. A really great product in my opinion
Great job! Extremely informative. I am beginning to really enjoy cosmetics and have started a lip product collection. Have you noticed the similarities between the Rimmel matte lipsticks and liners and NYX's
Isn't she great!!!!!!!! I am only using her as my go to person for reviews. I have to watch all her videos though even the ones shes not reviewing on. Im sure she has a busy life but am so glad she takes the time for us. WE NEED HER!!!!!!!!!
i know that these weren't out when you made the video, but revlon lip butters are good dupes for the chanel rouge coco shine lipsticks, and the maybelline colour tattoo shadows are great dupes for the mac paint pots
I agree with everything you said in the video with the exception of the Stila lip glazes. I started out with the elf and only tried a Stila lip glaze when I got it for $10 along with a kitten eyeshadow. The difference for me is huge, not so much in looks, but in taste. I can't stand how waxy the elf feels and tastes, but the Stila ones all taste like vanilla and are not waxy at all. But that's just personal preference and it's worth the extra money for me. Great vid!
hi, iam also a makeup artist , and i ve worked with differnt lines b4 like lancome, lauder, cristian dior and so on, and i totally agree with u, out there are so many awesome products that sometimes way better than the expensive ones,. i love your videos and i really think you are extremilly smart, specially when it comes about makeup. love it,,,,
I love your videos sooo much. You really go in depth and provide an amazing description of each product so i really know what I want to buy. You are the realest guru out there! Thanks soooo much!
Great video! An even cheaper alternative to primer for both face and eyes is Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Releif Gel...it's $6 for 1.5oz and works amazingly. All it is is a silicone gel. Also, in reference to your mascara choice, L'oreal and Lancome are both part of the same cosmetic conglomeration...a lot of Lancome products have L'oreal "sister" products. Thanks for the info!!!
I keep going back to this video and adding things to my shopping list :) also something to add, the Make Up For Ever HD powder is pure silica powder, which you can get from Coastal Scents in 3 times the amount for $4.95! The E.L.F powder is truly better and has other helpful ingredients in it :)
Thanks for another great video!! I've got that Revlon liquid eyeliner and its great. Perfect for clumsy people like me who need all the help they can get to apply eyeliner haha. It's got a precision brush and goes on so easily. Love it.
so.... i went to kmart today and i saw the miani blush you were talking about and i bought it cuz i cant really afford mac and oh my gosh i looooooove it its the best!!!! thanx!!!! plz plz plz do more of these! especially for the people who cant afford mac or makeup forever and stuff like that!!
Totally agree w/ the Hard Candy Primer...I tend to reach for it more often than my other two Philosophy primers (~$25 each?). HC's primer ($8) does come off a little oiliy but it works great.
I love how you don't buy into the brand names and you worry more about quality. Super awesome of you!
Please do an update video to dupes for more recent makeup products 😁
it's crazy how flawless and amazing you're makeup looks in all videos, ecspecially ur shadow :)
I remember one of your firs videos where you take us to your job. You use to work on tv. PLESE put back those videos. I LOVE THEM. !!!
there might be a reupload on another channel, try searching the name of the old video and then type 'reupload', I hope you find what you're looking for
Love this series! Especially since I am young and I don't always have the money for things like Mac, or urban decay, ect. Very helpful.
can't wait for part 2! SUCH a good video idea. I hope all the beauty gurus do a tag video on it. I have always heard about certain dupes and wondered whether the dupe or the high end product is truly worth the money.
I love how the drugstore products are bigger than the high end products, when you are paying less
I love that you take a moment inbetween speaking about products to show them and the name on the screen in your videos so that we can pause to write it down! Thank you!!
I'm surprised you
Don't have more subscribers. You should have your own show on tv !
you look like a total bombshell here! gorgeous!
Can you do dupes for foundations please? I want to know if there's a dupe for The Kat Von D foundation
Check out the Revlon Colorstay ? :)
I tried that one already, I couldn't find my shade, it was either too dark or too light. :( But thank you anyway.
try revlon nearly naked, or l'oreal true match lumi :)
you are the best beauty advisor ever! so articulate, so precise, so informed and a great personality to carry that all off! i have learned more from you in the past week than from other beauty gurus in the past 3 years!
I love these videos because I can't always buy high end stuff and drug store dupes are perfect
I LOVE your attitude about makeup Emily! Yes certain high end products are worth the $, but it's sooo practical to find drugstore products that do essentially the same things. Thank you for all your hard work to get us this info!
Loreal does animal testing just so everyone knows!
You look AMAZING in this video!
As a longtime follower, I'm so excited to see how much your channel has grown! You are one of the most genuine gurus and totally deserve it ;)
Love your dupe series.
They way you deliver these things is so refined. Wish youtube had more gurus like you!
I love you for doing this dupe series! I'm obsessed with finding dupes as I live in New Zealand and everything is very, very expensive. So thank you so much for taking the time to do this! :D
BEST series.

you just reminded me of how great it feels to find cheaper and better versions of high end products!
you have, hands down, the best dupes and reviews I've seen so far on youtube.....and your voice! I just adore you.
Out of all the guru's I watch (ALOT) your videos are the most interesting/informative. This is exactly why we subscribers come to youtube, for stuff like this. Thank you! I hope to see more

I love the elf liquid lipstick in Pink Lemonade. You can't beat the cute pink color! And Flirt in the gloss is adorable.
I love that you never do reviews on products sent to you for free and that your vids are never sponsored! Thanks for staying real :)
I just bought the Hard Candy Sheer Primer and I like it so far. You don't need a ton of the product on your face which is nice. I like your videos and how informative you are. You just gained a new subscriber!

I love how you did dupes for each category of make up! Amazing!

Thanks for doing all the work for us! I totally trust your opinion based on how you do actually have the high-end products as well. Like always, good job!
you need to try the mary kay face primer spf 15... it is great for oily skin and the eye primer is very good too
Love your dupe videos,I'm a sucker for high end products sand wouldn't even give cheap ones a chance till I started watching your dupe videos. This may sound silly but sometimes just to make myself feel better I'll going to bed and drop nyx liner into my Bobby Brown container and there's no difference I feel great
this is a SUPER idea!!! please do this every month or everytime. Very helpful!
Wow, what an excellent, comprehensive video!!! I love the Milani blushes, eyebrow pencil and glitter polishes. The NYX liners and HD eyeshadow base are great! I have to check out ELF. I don't have a lot to spend therefore appreciate knowing on what not to splurge.
wow wow wow u are by far the best at giving information on beauty products!! no one tops you! amazing! thank u for all that u do for us!!
Thank you so much! I love looking for dupes, and I just love your suggestions! You just performed a wonderful service to all of us that can't always afford high-end products.
Wow, u never get rid of ideas!!! Great job that's why we love you Em
I love the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer, I use it all the time!! The only thing I don't like about it is if you don't shake it up it tends to come out a bit runny, or not runny enough, if that makes since. Great video! :)

You are so easy to listen to! You have a voice made for TV. Thank you for your advice! Best of luck! Xoxo
The Elf gel liners are AMAZING as well, very long lasting. I love DUP videos! Keep 'em coming lol :)
Can't believe how much work you put into your dupe videos, definitely subscribed :)
Thanks so much for this! I'm always looking for deals one hundred percent of the time and I completely respect your opinions on all things beauty! Love you Em!
Amazingly helpful video Emily! I just am loving your videos! Can't wait for the mac eyeshadow dupes video! :D
I'd like to see more of these videos ..... I hope you continue making more of these videos comparing even more products! I'm such a Nars, Mac, Urban Decay girl....costs me tons of money....I'd like to see dupes on makeup brushes....also perhaps skincare, as well! Great job!!!

voluminous carbon black mascara is my FAVORITE!!! it's been my go to mascara for years!!
Not gonna lie, I love using the Monostat anti-chaffing powder gel for face primer and the dollar elf eye primer for my eyes. They are amazing! Muggy Minnesota summers never stood a chance against them. Bonus, the powder gel can be stashed in a purse to touch up or to stop irritation in sensitive areas,
Great video Emily..going to try some of these

great video!!! It's so informative. I'm always on the lookout for cheap but good makeup products. Thank you for this video
Isn't she great!!!!!!!! I am only using her as my go to person for reviews. I have to watch all her videos though even the ones shes not reviewing on. Im sure she has a busy life but am so glad she takes the time for us. WE NEED HER!!!!!!!!!
You are the absolute top of the top when it comes to dupes!! So handy and I'm loving your hair and makeup in this vid ya look gorg babe :)
Amazing vid Emily! Looking forward to rest of this series!
You have 100% credit in my book ... I tried the hard candy sheer envy primer & I like it better than Smashbox!
You always look pretty, but there's something about you that looks even more beautiful in this video! I think it's your hair/makeup combo!
Thank you for this review! As a new make up wearer I could really use this review.
I love ALL your videos!
i know that these weren't out when you made the video, but revlon lip butters are good dupes for the chanel rouge coco shine lipsticks, and the maybelline colour tattoo shadows are great dupes for the mac paint pots
you r amazing, i saw different reviews from other people , but by far u r the best, very professional, love it...
Great vid!
Thanks so much for these videos. It's great to know about these dupes, especially if you're just starting out with makeup!
Always informative as usual..I look forward to your MAC eyeshadow dupes!
Your eyeshadow is amazing! You're a great beaty guru and I love your videos!
Yea i appreciate u taking time out to record this vid! ur so awesome girl!! this video is extremely helpful
hi, iam also a makeup artist , and i ve worked with differnt lines b4 like lancome, lauder, cristian dior and so on, and i totally agree with u, out there are so many awesome products that sometimes way better than the expensive ones,. i love your videos and i really think you are extremilly smart, specially when it comes about makeup. love it,,,,
I love dupe videos and yours' are AMAZING. It's clear that you really put in the research to find real dupes, not just "sorta kinda that same color."
Thanks for the info!!!
your videos are probably the most helpful videos on youtube for me.
Great video as always! I have been using Voluminous Mascara for about 14 years now!
This is such a great video! As a college student I'm really strapped for cash when it comes to makeup and this is really helpful.
Totally agree w/ the Hard Candy Primer...I tend to reach for it more often than my other two Philosophy primers (~$25 each?). HC's primer ($8) does come off a little oiliy but it works great.
Your videos are so informative and you are soo pretty. They are always very helpful!
New hair color, Emily? Pretty for fall!
