I'm so happy you mentioned NYX megashine gloss! I've seen gurus rave about their tube gloss & diamond sparkle gloss, but this one I feel is great. I like that it doesn't feel sticky, and the fact that it comes out thin makes me love it even more. I'm surprised you didn't mention any eyeshadows! I guess I'll have to wait for the upcoming awards :).
Emily could you please do an updated skin care routine please!! Also what are your thoughts on argan oil? Have you tried it? I recently just got a Josie Maran gift set for Christmas and it has her argan oil in it.... I love it!!! So good for my skin in the winter time!

I loved the idea of cheek tints as well and believed they would be a bit darker and longer wearing like a stain. I have swatched the tarte ones and none were ever dark enough for me to purchase. Also have the darkest one by perscriptives and another by Bobbi Brown both in the sheer blackberry shades and on my porcelain skin it looks like a light sheer red. Love the concept though. Have you tried Bobbi Browns pot rouge? If not you should, they are a multiple and are so pretty.

Mac fluidlines are fantastic. Blacktrack's the classic black which lasts all day, if you're interested in further purchases. I'm really happy that you mentioned the Elf HD powder as I definitely want to buy it now. More videos on hits and misses in the future would be much appreciated, especially since you got a large haul of x-mas/birthday beauty related gifts :D

A great concealer that I got from the drugstore is the Physician's Forumula Conceal RX. It comes in a squeeze tube like the two you showed and the tiniest amount is good for the blemishes on my entire face. I usually rub it between to fingers to warm it up a bit and put it on before foundation and it lasts all day. I believe it's around 8 dollars at Rite Aid. :)
Emily I'm so glad that you're down to earth and not brand-obsessive like too many other guru's on youtube. You give honest and logical reviews and are always so helpful. You'd rather have a good product than a sparkly expensive package with bad makeup inside. Thanks for spending your time reviewing this stuff and saving me money for good products :D
I may have to try blitz and glitz cause I have black track and I hate it! There is nothing special about it and I actually like the wet n wild cream liner wayyyyy better!! The MAC one seems so fluffy and light and actually doesnt go on very pigments where the wet n wild one is thicker and HEAVILY pigmented so I stick with the wet n wild!! Great vid Em! You look stunning as always!!
yes i only have one fluidline in the gold one called uppity and yes they are great. I usually use that one for a base sorta thing but I want to someday get the blitz n glitz or blacktrack. I have all of the loreal ones so i sorta wanna get them used first! You know that will never happen though. Great vid, cant wait till your em awards i watched it last yr and it was good. Nice idea.
Thanks for the tip on the glamoflauge. I am thinking that using a luminescent concealer like LOreal's or Maybelline's blended with the glamoflauge would have a nice result around the eye.

Hi Emily. Do you think you could do a video comparing the different cream and gel eyeliners that you have tried? In terms of texture and consistency, ease of application, staying power, how well they wear, etc...
You always give great product suggestions I can't wait to try some of these. Suggestion...When you buy your next gel/cream liner start dipping on the side and use the inside of the jar to work the product into your brush. You disturb less of the surface area keeping it looking neat then on the other side you can scrape some out with a clean tool to use on others. =) I love the pic! That is how I look in all of my college graduation pics! I was so pissed no one told me! LOL!
I just got the Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer and I love it! It's the best concealer I have ever used! A tiny bit really does go a long way! Also- I bought the Rimmel London 25 hr. foundation. It is great also! Thanks for the recommendations!
@catherhino I never use a primer for my face or eyes. I have tried them in the past and don't see a difference. I have used a light application of face lotion to get my eyeshadow to stay and it works really well and I have done this with lots of different brands of eyeshadow. You can also use a cream eyeshadow as well. When I saw your question I thought this might help you.

Great reviews! Thanks for taking the time to do these. I will say that the regular Lashblast vs. Lashblast Fusion (for me) was hugely different... not in the brush, though, it was the formula. I had lots of flaking w/ the original version (not good for contacts! eek!). The Lashblast Fusion performed much better on *MY* lashes! Just an opposing thought for anyone reading these!
I do want to try the NYC blushes. I use the Tarte eco stains and they are just too expensive...lol The difference between the lash blast and lash blast fusion is the fusion one has little fibers in it, so it makes your lashes appear longer. And the formula is a little different too. Its less clumpy in my opinion. I like it. But mascaras work differently for everyone. Not everyones lashes are the same.

Emily- Do you prefer a matte finish foundation over a dewy finish? Also, have you ever contoured using just dark and light foundation? I'm wondering if that would be a more "real looking" contour then powder. What do you thing?
Emily, great review on these products. I appreciate your honesty. I would like to add a comment about a MAC product. I did not like the MAC eye shadow base that comes in a round container. It is called a primer and I hated it. It was slippery and eye shadow did not stay on long. I finally got rid of it, but kept the container (for something).

I had the same reaction with mac pro longweare foundation and I'm trying babby brown foundation its really good. I want to wish U a Happy New Year and you are a amazing person; never change!!!!!!!!!!!
the lash blast fusion is suppose to be the brush from regular lash blast and the fiber stretch formula from the lash blast lengthening mascara put in one tube. If you look really close you can see the fibers. I do see more length and a little volume with this one.... I think for me I notice the fusion gives me a more soft feathered look, and the original gives me the thick black dark lashes.
Hey Emily, Great video. Just said I'd comment on the Lashblast thing. I'm from Ireland and over here Maxfactor (who are owned by the same company as Covergirl) make a mascara (called "false lash effect") which is the exact same as Lashblast. At Christmas they released a "limited edition" version in that purple tube (the same as the Lashblast fusion tube you have) with the same wand and the same formula. So basically you're right, Lashblast and Lashblast fusion are the exact same. :)
nyx sweetheart is great! I need to get my hands on the glamoflage. I HEART NYX lip liners! who needs high end lip liners? nay I say! LOL.. and YES the elf hd powder is just as good! I think the elf is smoother imo!!

I noticed the same thing about Lash Blast Fusion. I heard that it's the regular lash blast brush with the same formula as the lash blast length. I liked it, but I didn't notice a difference either.

Love this video it was the first I watched of you I just found the channel and I am totally subbing. I agree about that Maybelline foundation It turns into an oil slick after a bit I dont wanna touch my skin, I use the MUFE ful coverage foundation and it's a great one but that hard candy one intrigues me! Alot of people say MAC foundation breaks them out I am thinking something in the formula...Oh and purple or orange...Purple ha ha I agree seems like same thing!

You should try the Physicians Formula Gel Liner if you haven't already. They come in sets of three catered to each eye color and one out of each three has shimmer in it like mac glitz. They are super pigmented and don't rub off at all once they set.

Emily, I broke out around my nose too after wearing the MAC pro long wear foundation for a couple of weeks. It was horrible. I am boycotting all MAC foundations for now on, even if they come out with a new one, and everyone loves it and says that it doesnt break them out. Love your hits and misses videos

on the lash blast mascara...i noticed a difference between the two cause the orange tube flaked off and got in my eyes. i thought it was the worst mascara. i gave the purple tube a try and i love that one. much better formulation.
Have you tried Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse? I think it holds back shine really well. I also like Maybelline"s Pure Makeup (oil free). These are my two favorites. Try them for yourself and see how they work for you.

Emily love your videos everything you have ever recommended has worked for me and since I have your same skin tone I just go by your shade. I wanted to know what drugstore concealer do you recommend? I currently use benefit erase paste but wanted a similar drugstore one, do know of one? Thank you so much.
Emily- Do you prefer a matte finish foundation over a dewy finish? Also, have you ever contoured using just dark and light foundation? I'm wondering if that would be a more "real looking" contour then powder. What do you thing?
Emily, great review on these products. I appreciate your honesty. I would like to add a comment about a MAC product. I did not like the MAC eye shadow base that comes in a round container. It is called a primer and I hated it. It was slippery and eye shadow did not stay on long. I finally got rid of it, but kept the container (for something).
Emily, you're beautiful and real. I love how you haven't changed your personality since you started TH-cam. You're still sweet and provide your subscribers with products that everyone can afford. Thank you for this, and every other video.

Thank you for the very informational video. If you have a chance please do a tutorial of the makeup you have on in this particular video (i.e eyes and lips). The colors look great on you! First off I love your videos!!!! Could you please do a video on some inexpensive or expensive good makeup removers that don't dry you skin?
the lash blast fusion is suppose to be the brush from regular lash blast and the fiber stretch formula from the lash blast lengthening mascara put in one tube. If you look really close you can see the fibers. I do see more length and a little volume with this one.... I think for me I notice the fusion gives me a more soft feathered look, and the original gives me the thick black dark lashes.

Just said I'd comment on the Lashblast thing. I'm from Ireland and over here Maxfactor (who are owned by the same company as Covergirl) make a mascara (called "false lash effect") which is the exact same as Lashblast. At Christmas they released a "limited edition" version in that purple tube (the same as the Lashblast fusion tube you have) with the same wand and the same formula.
So basically you're right, Lashblast and Lashblast fusion are the exact same. :)

I noticed the same thing about Lash Blast Fusion. I heard that it's the regular lash blast brush with the same formula as the lash blast length. I liked it, but I didn't notice a difference either.
LashBlast and LashBlast Fusion are the best mascaras I have ever used! I really want to try the Hard Candy concealer. Thanks for this video, Emily!! :)

I love the Almay Dial Up Mascara. I actually got it at my local Dollar Tree. It works well on my sensitive eyes, and it doesn't flake or run for me.

Love this video it was the first I watched of you I just found the channel and I am totally subbing. I agree about that Maybelline foundation It turns into an oil slick after a bit I dont wanna touch my skin, I use the MUFE ful coverage foundation and it's a great one but that hard candy one intrigues me! Alot of people say MAC foundation breaks them out I am thinking something in the formula...Oh and purple or orange...Purple ha ha I agree seems like same thing!

Hi Emily I love your channel... it's just awesome.. I use Cover FX ( Matte Fx) not alot of shades just light medium and dark powder however I have extremely oily skin and it is awesome might be worth a try for some people. Also have you ever tried any Vichy Products?

Emily, can do you do a review on the Mally concealer? Not sure if you have this product but if you do, that'd be great.
You should try the Physicians Formula Gel Liner if you haven't already. They come in sets of three catered to each eye color and one out of each three has shimmer in it like mac glitz. They are super pigmented and don't rub off at all once they set.

Emily, I broke out around my nose too after wearing the MAC pro long wear foundation for a couple of weeks. It was horrible. I am boycotting all MAC foundations for now on, even if they come out with a new one, and everyone loves it and says that it doesnt break them out.

on the lash blast mascara...i noticed a difference between the two cause the orange tube flaked off and got in my eyes. i thought it was the worst mascara. i gave the purple tube a try and i love that one. much better formulation.
Have you tried Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse? I think it holds back shine really well. I also like Maybelline"s Pure Makeup (oil free). These are my two favorites. Try them for yourself and see how they work for you.
