    thank you so much! i do have a question though, are these two machine targets the same muscle? and what's the differences? my trainer always told me to use the seated leg press while my friend told me to do the regular machineb and i didn't really know why

    • @naomikong
      @naomikong  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They will target the same muscles! The Seated Leg Press will be a little easier on the knees while the Leg Press will have a little more pressure on the knees-both are great, it just comes down to your personal preference and if you have any injuries/limitations! 🙌🏼

  • @MXMVPS
    @MXMVPS 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    With the seated leg press- are your knees supposed to be in line with your toes at the starting position or slightly below? Or are they supposed to go over your feet like when squatting with a barbell?

    • @glcriae9690
      @glcriae9690 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm I know it depends on what you want to target more. If they’re father apart it’ll hit flutes more, more narrow hits quads more

    What does this exercise help to do?

  • @judith.froeschl02
    @judith.froeschl02 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey just a quick question to the people in the comments:
    How heavy are you and how much can you press? I would kind of like to know what the average is for that excersice. Would be great if you could help me.🙈

    • @naomikong
      @naomikong  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Judith! ✨
      I always recommend starting with the lightest weight possible, and when you can comfortably perform 12-15 reps with proper form, then increase the weight. For this instance, use no additional weight at all, see how that feels, and if you think you could comfortably add more weight, I’d say start with a 25lb plate on each side and then go up from there following the above recommendation. 🙌🏼
      There is no “right” or “standard” amount of weight to use for any exercise as everyone’s starting point will be so different and you truly just want to start where you yourself are at and go from there. The only “wrong” amount of weight to use is one that compromises your form and makes you prone to injury. ☺️

    • @judith.froeschl02
      @judith.froeschl02 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@naomikong Wow thanks for your quick reply.🤗 But I'm not actually a beginner. I've been lifting for a year now (not always regulary though) and I would love to know how much people in my weightclass are lifting just to know where I am in the spectrum. I am always working out on my own in a gym where there are mostly men, so I don't know what the female standard is.
      For example: I weigh 73kg and I can do 5 slow and clean reps with 250kg at the moment. Is that good?
      (Sorry I don't want to fish for compliments or anything I just have no clue how much that is worth...😅)

    This is exactly th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS what I needed to get some exercise while I'm stuck at my desk all day. It's just the right size. Only downsides are that the right oeddale unscrews itself while I use it and increasing the tension causes it to squeak while in use. Both are minor issues that aren't that important to me. So I give it 5 stars.
