How To Catch Sturgeon | Specimen Fishing

- In this video I will show you how to go about targeting and catching sturgeon in the UK. I promised in my last video I would head back to stoat hall and fish their specimen lake on a day ticket. My one goal on this trip was to catch one of two sturgeon that are in the lake!

Hi matey lilly pond at aston park fishery near Sheffield is full of sturgeon i have had them to mid twenties also got plenty carp and some big catfish absolutely great place with onsight tackle shop and cafe

Was is luck? Truth is theirs always a element of luck but all the factors you mentioned stack the odds in your favour .Great result nice fish great content once again and you can be sure I'm wearing my westys hat this winter
100% luck mate 😂 though sturgeon are greedy and fairly easy to target as a species in lakes !

I used to fish stoat Hall alot years ago its a great place but the lakes are too small for my liking it gets very busy most days too.. have you tried mere lane in Tarlton ?? Nice specimen lake they have and facilities etc

@WestysAngling cheers mate, couldn't get on there as was full, ended up on limbrick. Absolutely rammed. Testing out the aquastim I got using the discount you put out. Got to say think this will be my go to pellet for method feeder fishing

@@WestysAngling ok thanks the sturgen are on my list this year I did catfish last year at brookside fishery if you know anywhere that had sturgen and grass carp I just missed out on joining fir tree fishery

I think Westy usually rests them in the net between filming and keeps them wet with a bucket. I have seen him do this on other videos
