I don’t think it’s a coincidence that everyone is remembering this series all together, now. Hotwheels Unleashed has brought us all back here, to celebrate this series’s history, and better appreciate what we originally couldn’t, as children.

Currently, RD02, the drone car, happens to be the fastest in the game, there are World Race and AcceleRacers stickers to customize your cars with, and Twin Mill and Rodger Dodger are already in the game, with Deora II and Bassline confirmed for future updates
3:55 I distinctly remember this scene because I thought it would be cool to have a car that will never take damage. But as I got older I found out that crumple zones exist to lessen damage to the person in the car. Now I realize they just did that so they wouldn't have to animate the cars taking damage. 😂
It actually is to relate to the actual die cast vehicles who can get smacked up and not have a dent in the vehicles... Paint jobs were still messed up though...
Considering they kept the same director Mark Edens, but changed the background and story created by jeff Gomez, I'd say its the other way around, since there was a lot of "retcons" into Acceleracers from World Race. Scrim corp etc.
I remember when I was a kid trying to collect all the hotwheels from World Race and Acceleracers. If I remember right, the World Race cars came with a token. If you bought all the cars and mailed Hotwheels the tokens you could get a limited edition Highway 35 hotwheels track. I also even still have some of the trading cards from Acceleracers at my grandmothers house.

i recently learned from a video by NOLOAF that WR and AR were made by different teams, with WR being written by Jeff Gomez of Starlight Runner entertainment, but the company was not asked to return for Acceleracers, even though they had some ideas for what they would do with the world in a follow-up. Initially, Jeff didn't like the new series because they took the series in a different direction and chose not to bring back some of his favorite characters, but he has grown to love Acceleracers, in part because of us fans. This adds so much more depth to WR and AR, and the contrasts and parallels between them. The amazing characters, style, and world belongs to World Race. However, the team behind Acceleracers had such an apparent love for Jeff Gomez's work that they were able to build off of it so beautifully. The parallels between Kadeem, Kurt, and Marky's interactions, Kadeem's retroactive foreshadowing, and all of the character arcs that were finished so beautifully, were all made out of respect for the world and characters Jeff Gomez had created. Acceleracers stands on its own as well, taking the series in new directions, exploring new concepts, and adding new characters. The relationships between Nolo and Tork, as well as Porkchop and Monkey, give the series it's own merits without relying on old characters from world race. Still wish we could've gotten to see Dan Dresden, Alec Wood, and Banjee and the rest of the Roadbeasts revealed as silencers in the fifth movie.
I was around 5 when this came out and now I’m 21, my love for this series has only gotten bigger. It’s great that there are people out there that have the same love for this amazing series and the community is still very much here ✌️

This was released in 2003, which was (now that I'm remembering) my 5th birthday, where I got both Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and this movie. Acceleracers:ignition came out in 2005. I remember that clearly, because Need for Speed Underground 2 came out at the end of 2004.

My dad and I collected all of the cars and eventually sent in fir the giant set you could get with all the price of purchase from the cars. It was one of the coolest Hotwheels sets I’ve ever seen!
Hotwheels Highway 35 made my childhood so godlike awesome it's extremely hard to explain but it did. Back then as a kid I was really into racing cars such as Nascar and Hotwheels so when I saw the commercial of this movie my mind was blown away. Lucky it was released around the time of my birthday so it was a great gift I cherishly remembered. Seeing the movie made me love this franchise even more plus the cars were so extremely cool I wanted to collect every single car in the movie which I almost did but kid self me was careless to say the least. Nevertheless everytime I rewatch Highway 35 it reminded how greatfully ageless this movie became a milestone in my life, sure it had flaws but honestly I wouldn't change it for the better loving this animated Hotwheels movie!
I love the continuation here! And especially the fact that in this movie here, the Wheel of Power and the Acceleron Language were just some cryptic things... But in the Sequel it is turned into a key to the racing realms. And the Symbols on it represent the different realms. what is especially nice if you consider the fact that these symbols ars the same that are used here!
I remember I watched this when I was young - I never understood Kadeem's character very well, especially after what occured in the sequel, but your video helped me to understand him. Nice work!
So I recently comented on a Hotwheels Unleashed video about how I hope they do some realms or cars from the series and a TON of people felt the same I can see your channel picking up massive steam in the near future if, they start including that content... get hyped !
Don't think there's any chance of official Hwy35/Acceleracers content in Unleashed but hopefully modders can make it happen! I think a few of the cars are in the game tho.

7:09 i have 2 things to tell about it. 1- When vert gets the wheel, it's disabled. It was INTENDED to be collected in the Highway35. 2- The inscriptions says about the Realms, but the humans were not prepared for the racing realms. 3- When vert place it back, it closes on the building, activating the racing realms, and transforming some Highway 35 realms into Acceleracers realms (Like Desert realm)

Ah yes, Highway 35: World Race. I still remember when my parents got it for me on DVD - I watched it nonstop! The one thing World Race did better than AcceleRacers are those body proportions LOL, I know AcceleRacers was produced by a different studio, but goddamn the characters look wonky AF 😂 Also IDK if you're aware, but there was also a series of comics that came with each diecast car that added to the story with little adventures of each driver. Pretty neat, but most of us didn't read them because we didn't have all the cars 😅

How interesting! I wasn't expecting to see such a passionate video on this movie/series. I watched it by accident in the past and parts of it always stuck with me. Character depictions and dated visuals aside... Something about the scale, the format, the atmosphere feels special here. Like I naturally would use this as a staple in media and vibe analysis.
I remember watching the first part of the movie when my brother and me were kids. Our parents somehow found the complete set of cars with the zed 36 car. Found the full movie dvd and we loved remaking the scenes with the cars and sets
Man I aggre. Acceleracers is such a unique situation, world race really was a glorified toy market that actually pulled off a fun and decent movie, while acceleracers had that objective but was cancelled because the show became a bigger phenomenon than hot wheels itself. The writers clearly drove way too close to the sun, and I wouldnt have it any other way :P

It's sad how what happened to Dan Dresden, Alec Wood and especially Banjee in Acceleracers Banjee ended up in The Swamp Realm in which people found this ironic and such. He probably got to The Swamp Realm as it's opened before the Other Racers such as the Racing Drones arrived but still.. ! (Including Kadeem)
This movie released in multiple parts on vhs alongside individual hot wheels cars. I remember begging my dad to get them whenever the newest one came out If you think about it, 15 minutes of a movie plus a single hothweel for 20$ is a shit deal, but we kids ate into it Then when the sequal came out the movies released in dvd form, STILL episodically rather than as a single movie, again, bought all those up aswell Alongside this, mcdonalds released several sets of cars to coincide with each movie, the first of which was just generic cars with stickers related to the movie that tou could out on them, the second being actual cars from the film that would have batteries inside that light up fluorescent pieces such as the wheels or windshields And then they ruined the series by never releasing another one. Instead they rebooted it many years after as a tv show, using the same character names and everything, years after the fact that the original fans have long since grown up, not that it mattered since the story basically meant nothing at this point
Younger me wondered what game they advertised in the movie little older me thought it was velocity x but I've never played it me now realizing it's just the world race game I've never beat as a kid until now where I beat it twice with vert
I personally liked the animation style and the movie overall more than the Acceleracers series. But the one thing it completely wrecked acceleracers in was the sound design of the cars.
This is a pretty nice video :> thoroughly enjoyed it, however I do have a few criticisms, I haven't watched the other videos in this series yet, but in case you do need to hear it at all, here: Your script begins to fall off quick as you say that 'you've been at it for hours.' Take some breaks and ensure that the quality of your script is consistent throughout. You could've specifically fleshed out Kurt's arc by explaining his status as one of the already proven best drivers in the world without any doubt, which hardened him to other drivers, including his brother, with his ego driving him to work with someone who would allow him to work as himself and not as a roleplayer on a team. However, he was humbled and thrown back onto the right track, which was a bit of a rushed move because there wasn't much to humble him with, but yknow, is what it is. Another thing I can say is that you make some unnecessary cuts in the video to the movie and it feels a bit forced; especially in the vert and kurt sections, where you cut to the full skateboarding scene instead of utilizing it to switch topics towards his growth. You could have transitioned with something along the lines of 'vert is full of... himself' with footage of the skateboarding scene in the background and no audio. 'He isn't really compassionate for others, and tends to be a bit of a lone wolf' and then cut to vert saying 'haven't you heard? I'm a team of one.' This would help you transition audio clips and not ramble on and on, which leads to my last criticism of this video: Your script kinda rambles on and on without any real stopping points until it trails off at the end and fizzles out, making the end a bit awkward. Definitely take some more time to make bullet points of what you want, and fully script some sections, while keeping others to bullet points you know you can condense and flesh out yourself. Make sure to, especially in the editing process, go back over your audio clips and re-record a few of them. There were a few times when you can hear the cuts in the audio instead of it being smooth, which in a way, ruins the pacing of the video. However, all in all, this is a solid video, and I think you show a lot of promise. Just make sure you have a full, start-to-finish idea of everything you want from your video, and if you run out of ideas, it doesn't hurt to take a break for especially a few hours and mess around, then get back to what you're doing. Try and put everything to a schedule, and I'm sure you can improve a lot
I just watched this again yesterday with a friend and rEviVed my love for the franchise, the movie has a really nice pasing, it doesn’t feel rushed (an issue max steel movies have for example) for the amount of content it has and the characters have obiously great arcs but they also found a good balance between charisma and develompet (that balance is also consistent in AcceleRacerS) . Also Banjee is just funnier in English aksjaka---

I liked acceleracers, but if I could change what happened I would have had sequels to this movie that more fit the theme of world race rather than starting a separate series. I felt like this was the best movie of them all and the concepts in it were superior
I honestly cant wrap my head around how this underrated vibing masterpiece became Acceleracers. And im not saying anything bad, im just surprised how much changed in between both shows.
So this is where im officially starting this series because im having this obsession again. I dont know if i will get an answer in this video or later in the series. im only three minutes in because ive been debating on commenting early for like the past 20 minutes, Started watching this at 12am. So here it is. You said “telsa cares for the drivers”, In acceleracers, in the swamp realm, there is a scene where the camera pans off the distance to show banjee’s car in the swamp off the track. If tesla “cared” for his drivers, why was banjee left behind in the swamp realm without the emergency escape button equipped to his car? Let alone, doesnt even have a car equipped with the necessary accessories used later in acceleracers, that tesla has in his silencer car??? Because the opening scene is tesla trying to get the wheel himself before the drones get it, in his own car with the emergency escape button, and before he sent bangee in there. He obviously knew the dangers of the drones, and have the intent to destroy any human racers. All in all, i dont think he really does care about his drivers.
I never really understood why Vert's dad said "Surfing skateboarding, now CARS. Someday you'll find out what's really important." Skateboarding and surfing I get as unimportant, but why did he throw in cars in there? At 16, driving is an important thing to be able to do. 16 is the age when kids often tend to go out of the house more and slowly become independent.
IMO you should try and collect as Many Hot Wheels as you can even the cars featured in your videos, It Doesn't matter how many but if you HAVE a collection show it off ASAP. It's alright I'm a Hot Wheels fan as well.

One thing I want to note, every time vert wins a race it’s because he’s the only other racer but the antagonist
We need a massive update to unleashed with all the realms and a galactic conquest type campaign mode in collecting the accelechargers.
I haven’t bought Unleashed. But an update like this would cause me to buy it in a heartbeat, even if it ups the price significantly

It's sad how what happened to Dan Dresden, Alec Wood and especially Banjee in Acceleracers Banjee ended up in The Swamp Realm in which people found this ironic and such. He probably got to The Swamp Realm as it's opened before the Other Racers such as the Racing Drones arrived but still.. !

This movie released in multiple parts on vhs alongside individual hot wheels cars. I remember begging my dad to get them whenever the newest one came out
If you think about it, 15 minutes of a movie plus a single hothweel for 20$ is a shit deal, but we kids ate into it
Then when the sequal came out the movies released in dvd form, STILL episodically rather than as a single movie, again, bought all those up aswell
Alongside this, mcdonalds released several sets of cars to coincide with each movie, the first of which was just generic cars with stickers related to the movie that tou could out on them, the second being actual cars from the film that would have batteries inside that light up fluorescent pieces such as the wheels or windshields
And then they ruined the series by never releasing another one. Instead they rebooted it many years after as a tv show, using the same character names and everything, years after the fact that the original fans have long since grown up, not that it mattered since the story basically meant nothing at this point
As i commented on the Accelleracers vid about the dub in those movies, here the dub is also ridiculously amazing

I personally liked the animation style and the movie overall more than the Acceleracers series. But the one thing it completely wrecked acceleracers in was the sound design of the cars.
This is a pretty nice video :> thoroughly enjoyed it, however I do have a few criticisms, I haven't watched the other videos in this series yet, but in case you do need to hear it at all, here:
Your script begins to fall off quick as you say that 'you've been at it for hours.' Take some breaks and ensure that the quality of your script is consistent throughout. You could've specifically fleshed out Kurt's arc by explaining his status as one of the already proven best drivers in the world without any doubt, which hardened him to other drivers, including his brother, with his ego driving him to work with someone who would allow him to work as himself and not as a roleplayer on a team. However, he was humbled and thrown back onto the right track, which was a bit of a rushed move because there wasn't much to humble him with, but yknow, is what it is.
Another thing I can say is that you make some unnecessary cuts in the video to the movie and it feels a bit forced; especially in the vert and kurt sections, where you cut to the full skateboarding scene instead of utilizing it to switch topics towards his growth. You could have transitioned with something along the lines of 'vert is full of... himself' with footage of the skateboarding scene in the background and no audio. 'He isn't really compassionate for others, and tends to be a bit of a lone wolf' and then cut to vert saying 'haven't you heard? I'm a team of one.' This would help you transition audio clips and not ramble on and on, which leads to my last criticism of this video:
Your script kinda rambles on and on without any real stopping points until it trails off at the end and fizzles out, making the end a bit awkward. Definitely take some more time to make bullet points of what you want, and fully script some sections, while keeping others to bullet points you know you can condense and flesh out yourself. Make sure to, especially in the editing process, go back over your audio clips and re-record a few of them. There were a few times when you can hear the cuts in the audio instead of it being smooth, which in a way, ruins the pacing of the video.
However, all in all, this is a solid video, and I think you show a lot of promise. Just make sure you have a full, start-to-finish idea of everything you want from your video, and if you run out of ideas, it doesn't hurt to take a break for especially a few hours and mess around, then get back to what you're doing. Try and put everything to a schedule, and I'm sure you can improve a lot
Next December will be the 20 year anniversary. Wonder if Hot Wheels will do something special for it.

I just watched this again yesterday with a friend and rEviVed my love for the franchise, the movie has a really nice pasing, it doesn’t feel rushed (an issue max steel movies have for example) for the amount of content it has and the characters have obiously great arcs but they also found a good balance between charisma and develompet (that balance is also consistent in AcceleRacerS) .
Also Banjee is just funnier in English aksjaka---

I liked acceleracers, but if I could change what happened I would have had sequels to this movie that more fit the theme of world race rather than starting a separate series. I felt like this was the best movie of them all and the concepts in it were superior

I honestly cant wrap my head around how this underrated vibing masterpiece became Acceleracers.
And im not saying anything bad, im just surprised how much changed in between both shows.
So this is where im officially starting this series because im having this obsession again. I dont know if i will get an answer in this video or later in the series. im only three minutes in because ive been debating on commenting early for like the past 20 minutes, Started watching this at 12am. So here it is.
You said “telsa cares for the drivers”, In acceleracers, in the swamp realm, there is a scene where the camera pans off the distance to show banjee’s car in the swamp off the track. If tesla “cared” for his drivers, why was banjee left behind in the swamp realm without the emergency escape button equipped to his car? Let alone, doesnt even have a car equipped with the necessary accessories used later in acceleracers, that tesla has in his silencer car??? Because the opening scene is tesla trying to get the wheel himself before the drones get it, in his own car with the emergency escape button, and before he sent bangee in there. He obviously knew the dangers of the drones, and have the intent to destroy any human racers. All in all, i dont think he really does care about his drivers.

I never really understood why Vert's dad said "Surfing skateboarding, now CARS. Someday you'll find out what's really important." Skateboarding and surfing I get as unimportant, but why did he throw in cars in there? At 16, driving is an important thing to be able to do. 16 is the age when kids often tend to go out of the house more and slowly become independent.

IMO you should try and collect as Many Hot Wheels as you can even the cars featured in your videos, It Doesn't matter how many but if you HAVE a collection show it off ASAP. It's alright I'm a Hot Wheels fan as well.
