Honestly, i think verts double regression and development is pretty human. number of time i myself or friends says we're learned but sometimes getting knocked down almost the same way can hurt more even if "we've learned" from the past mistake or choices. its always been more about getting back up and pushing forward. thats my 2 cents.
There a differetnt between know what you need to do and what your confidence in. When Vert return, they showed Vert learning that some time you need to follow your duty but is still not confidence in himself.
I aggre. I think the scene should just have been done differently... like vert questioning himself after breaking his leg and remembering his father telling him to quit. And vert justifying himself to tezla that he thought he would be a hinderance to the drivers with his broken leg. That would also justify tezla fully trusting him out of nowhere (yes its out of choice but make the guy a bit less robotic!) I personally wanted in the follow up movie for his father to say something like "I know you, when someone tells you to quit you do your best just to prove them wrong... I told you to quit because I thought it would give us a chance to beat the drones". I dont see any silencer in the ultimate race it seems every one of them fully trusted vert thinking he was the only one who could beat geloroum lol, and that def wouldnt happen without his father interference.
For Vert’s character arc, I think the point with the reregression wasn’t that he regressed twice, it was that even if we learn life lessons, it’s hard to internalize. Vert learned a lesson, but failed to internalize it in the long run. In the case of the static characters, they simply don’t need to grow or be elaborated upon. They’re constants for a reason, they can be consistent because they help other characters to grow from their consistency. I will agree that Shirako just kind exists at times, but he fulfills a role as a pillar for the Teku to center themselves and as a kind of mirror for Pork Chop to reflect in his role within the Maniacs
I've always seen the drones as a Hivemind. The drones only ever start making mistakes the further away from RDL-1 the other RDS units were. In the storm realm, once RDL-1 caught up with the remaining RDS units, they were able to kill Kadeem.
RD-L1 is the only one with memories though, Gelorum said she downloaded them into a new unit but if he fails again, she'll erase them but if it's wrong, why is it only him that is told this?
I'm gonna be honest, I think vert regressing again is a GREAT lesson for kids and was very realistic for a kids movie. So many characters go through the same thing and just start magically doing better, but life doesn't work like that. Just cause you learned doesn't mean you deserve a win. Vert came back hoping to do better, but when it came down to it, it makes sense that he would still be just as "eh" as he was before, so of course it hits him even harder because he feels he did the right thing and at least deserves a top finish. It's actually an incredibly human trait. Even on the ultimate race, vert didn't actually win. When the cars crashed, gelorum was ahead of him when he tried that pit maneuver and she was still ahead of him when they crashed. But the acceleron showing up, talking about how even though he lost, he got through the entire course through his own merit, without any fancy accelechargers. He was never the best this whole series but the fact that he was able to force himself to do what was necessary despite his losses is what's important, especially at a show catered towards young audiences. I dont know how many times I've learned my lesson and still got smacked in the face with reality, especially with my car. Sometimes you do things right and it still doesn't work out. Growth isn't one mountain, it's a mountain range with plateaus and valleys. Sometimes you go down, sometimes you go up, sometimes you stay the same for miles upon miles. But all that matters is that, no matter what happens, is that you keep pushing forward
I have to tell you man, that comment was beautiful. Straight up one of the most eloquent statements on both hot wheels and about life itself -- which is something I never thought I'd say in my life!
I feel like Verts double regression was necessary, because they aren't targeting the same thing, at first he wanted to stop fighting the drones because he felt like he was dead weight, and when he came back and failed once more he lost even more confidence and felt worse than before because of his bad leg, and his dad words echoed that he should quit, not just stop driving against the drones, and a double regression feels more natural, just because he came back doesn't mean he suddenly regained his confidence, and, naturally, he took another fall Edit: I'm also glad that the EDR was introduced to lower tensions, because after so many movies the tension would boil over, you gotta release tension or its unwatchable
The doble regression made me empathize with him since it has happened to me (and I might say to everybody at some point), I think having one regression and coming back as nothing happened is way too unrealistic
I noticed that the vibe from the first movie, Ignition, was a lot more different than the other three. Some of the scenes lacked the faction stingers you can hear when they appear, only sound effects such as the car engines and the atmosphere. Scenes were grittier, the storm realm was so brutal for the drivers. Just as you explained in the video, the drones were portrayed as scary robots out to kill you and in the first film it felt like they were driving more for survival than competition. Overall, the feeling of danger and tension were more pronounced.
Let me just say I thoroughly enjoy your Acceleracers videos. These and World Race were my favorite things growing up and just like you I watched them all the time. So good to watch a video on something I messed with so much when I was little.
In the case of the racing drones, you'll notice most of their trouble comes from the human racers, not the realms. The drones are perfect, in driving, not against the human element. They can predict how the realms work, but not humans. This is also why they don't kill drivers on sight, they're programmed to win races, and because of this they don't consider the racers a threat. Plus, the Drones did win numerous races, sure they lost the 'scare factor', but they were still shown to be competent and a threat. I agree completely on almost everything else though, except the regression of Vert's character as that is a completely human thing to happen (I've even had it happen on occasion) Edit: Oh sweet, thanks for the heart! Love your work, hope we can work together on something someday, because this franchise needs more love.
Really enjoy your acceleracer videos they make the show better for me and is helping with my fanfiction where I change the parts of the show I didnt like and expand some of the scenes that weren't included in the DVD release
@@AnthroGearhead Tbh I just wanna see how Accelerons officially race and their mindset, that's the only thing I want to see the most out of anything else.
"I was a child once, but not anymore." Oof, that's a sad thing to hear. You can still reclaim your childhood if you reach hard enough for it. Stay gold.
I think the biggest change I would personally make would be to double the amount of episodes - that way there'd be more room for important things and prevent some of the realms like Cavern and Ice from just appearing in only webisodes. Perhaps the runtime could be cut down to 45-50 minutes rather than 60 to compensate, but either way I think it'd give the writing a lot more room. A general outline for how I'd approach each episode is this: Ep 1 - "Ignition": Introduces the characters, gives more context on what the World Race was and how drivers like Vert, Taro, and Kadeem know each other, shows the disastrous first race in the Storm Realm before introducing Dr. Tesla at the end. Ep 2 - "Enter the realms": The other members of the Teku and Metal Maniacs arrive, the race through the Swamp Realm is followed by some more character interaction (including doing more setup for less-developed characters like Shirako), the Cavern Realm race is longer, and the two consecutive victories for the heroes is what pushes Gelorum to start developing the Sweeper at the very end. Ep 3 - "Two-Way Exit": Immediately starts in the Lava Realm (which is also a bit longer), followed by another character interaction interlude which shows the passage of time as the all-terrain tires and EDR are developed, the Water Realm forms the second half, which is largely the same (Porkchop's fear of water and the EDR's first use, Taro accidentally ending up in the Racing Drone HQ and having to go through the realm again, Vert going AWOL due to self-doubt.) Ep 4 - "The Speed of Silence": The Metro Realm is kept largely the same, except afterwards we actually see Gig confirming that Kurt's car has no traces of Accelecharger energy, and more effects of growing distrust towards Kurt. The Canyon Realm is made a bit longer, and is evenly interspersed with Nolo and Mark stopping the captured drone from escaping and Kurt stopping the Drones from killing Shirako. Further distrust against Kurt is shown when it appears he attempted to kill him - especially since this time, he actually wins the race and gets the Cliffside Realm Accelecharger, and it ends with Tork fully prohibiting Mark from racing when he can't keep his anger towards Kurt under control. Ep 5 - "Double Agents": Starts off immediately with Dr. Tesla having another nightmare similar to the one shown in the original Speed of Silence (probably moved to Two-Way Exit in this take), immediately moving to the Ice Realm race. Only needs to be expanded a bit to show Karma at the start before her camera feed goes out, helping build suspicion for whether or not she's a traitor. The rest of the events in the first half of the original Breaking Point are kept largely the same, such as showing Vert still struggling with his doubts, Mark challenging Tork to race for leadership of the Metal Maniacs, and the Neon Pipeline Realm race, ending with Taro discovering the Silencerz. Ep 6 - "Breaking Point": Starts off with a series of flashbacks further showing Kadeem's interrogation and torture at the hands of the Drones, eventually culminating in Gelorum using the reconstruction machine. The Junk Realm race goes largely the same, with Vert returning to the Teku, Mark's incompetent leadership not earning any loyalty from the Metal Maniacs, Porkchop and Monkey saving the racers from the triple sweeper attack, and Mark getting lost in the Junk Realm. (Also Taro will win the Accelecharger this time, since with the Cliffside Realm revision I think it'd be boring to have Kurt winning two of them) Kurt discovering the fate of the lost racers and Mark's capture by the drones is shown immediately after, and the race in the Ruins Realm, now extended and with more discoveries about the Drones and the Accelerons divulged, is interspersed with Kurt planning to save his brother. The ending, showing Mark captured by the drones and the reveal of Kadeem's transformation, is kept the same. Ep 7 - "Divergence": Starts off with Kurt revealing his plan to save Mark to the other racers, and the Cosmic Realm is given much more time, showing more of the hazards and quirks of the track before the racers defeat the detatchment of drones and hijack the sweeper. The Silencerz are given more of a presence in the race as well. Gelorum's invasion of the Acceledrome begins here, and Tesla's defense measures make more of an effort to stop the Drones, but are still defeated. It ends right before the racers enter Drone HQ, giving Nolo and Tork a bit more time to come to terms with and forgive each other, and Gelorum acquiring all the Accelechargers and preparing to meet the Accelerons. Ep 8 - "The Ultimate Race": The rescue of Mark remains largely the same, but the scenes of Vert racing against Gelorum in all the realms is given more time and focus, including actually seeing "realms he hasn't seen before". The fight back against the Drones when the racers return lasts longer, and Vert is given more opportunity to show his newfound expertise when he returns and helps them escape before ending up at Silencerz HQ. It ends the same way, with the Acceledrome self-destructing with the Drones inside, the racers going off to find and save Vert, and Vert discovering that his dad is working with the Silencerz.
You should add the bit where Kurt and Mark informs Vert about them finding Kadeem but failed to bring him back, thus Vert accepted the reality after seeing Mark's arm being replaced which motivates Vert to stop the Drones
sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the part where the "drones should find the swap realm the easiest" works in the movie. scenes like 17:38 show that the drones car is too wide and while staying in the centre of the track, both wheels are on top of the moss making their traction worse. however you can clearly see that in scenes like 17:50 nolos car clearly fits within the edges of the moss, allowing him to stay in the groove. while the size of the cars and the track is very inconsistent in this realm we can just assume its because the track changes width, leaving more reason why the drones are fine in some parts and get eliminated one after another in other parts
The following drivers will enter the realm; Taro Katano, Shirako Takamoto, Vert Wheeler, Diesel Riggs, Kurt Wylde, Mark Wylde. Ugh, those two are as bad as Nolo and Tork, are you encouraging competition again? Curious, isn't it? Nolo can't forget his brother, and Mark Wylde can't forgive his. But seriously man, love all of the new videos you have been making, Acceleracers was a major portion of my childhood and it fills me with joy to see the resurgance of the community, I would love to see a video going over the realms and not only how they taught drivers how to drive, like hydroplaning in the water realm, but how each one gave way to a new side of the characters and taught them different lessons, like how the metro realm taught Nolo that Tork wasn't gunning fir his throat all the time and they maybe could be friends.
So glad your videos popped up on my recommended page. You’re giving this series the appreciation it needs. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched and rewatched World Race/Acceleracers so i’m gonna be up all night rewatching them thanks to you lol
We need more of acceleracers. I remember going to Blockbuster and getting the vhs and/or cd of the movie and just sit back and enjoy it all. I hope someday we get more stuff like acceleracers or even a continuation of it.
4:52 wow, i just found out wylde is using an impact gun of the teku team. Kinda goes into the theory he could perfectly be fit for the teku style, as his cars are practically teku style
Remastered version be like - Banjee appears at the canyon race, getting to know Nolo before leaving instead of watching the pointless race - Dune Ratz should have come rescue Brian - Mark Wylde never left Wave Rippers but also joins Street Breed as a no.2 driver cuz Dan still the leader and never involved with Kurt's bullshit but still upset about it - Alec and other Wave Rippers stayed with Vert despite seperate teams - Deora 2,Slingshot and Roadrunner shouldnt come to a horrid end - Dr Tezla improves the EDR that prevents losing drivers and cars, especially the part where Vert gets taken in by the Silencers but Reverb, Sparky and the Accel chargers were in good hands as the EDR aid their escape - Karma finds time to help other drivers to improve since most of them arent really race car drivers Bonus: i love to see a Street Breed edition Spinebuster and Wave Rippers FlatFurry
I've finally finished watching the last 2 movies I'd never seen from the series after 2 decades ago because I couldn't find the physical copies back then. I've noticed that you and other people were talking about this series and explaining stuff like theories, plot, and hot wheels in general on TH-cam and even when Hot Wheels Unleashed was a thing and was launched, alot of people was talking about acceleracers. Seeing that made me happy that people still talk about it and also love hot wheels the same way I do. 😊 A great story and character development this series has is why it's an awesome show. Kinda wish they made a 5th/ final movie cause after the end of the 4th movie, to me it wasn't the end of it.
Fail 3 times, lose a friend and 3 cars? That's demotivating. But hey, you can bounce back with some motivation. Less than 2 hours after returning, and you've come out of the realm last? Don't worry, you can still work on it next time. You figured out the secret, and somebody got in your way. Crash into a hazard on your own, breaking your own leg and the bike, and narrowly avoid being captured or killed? Yeah. That's the part where I'd stop thinking I can bounce back. Now you're not just losing the things around you, but you're hurting yourself.
i think that the double regression that vert had was a good thing, i belive that it gave him a side of humanity as we all have times similar to what he went through
Bro I like this movie series so much. When I lost the cover art for Speed of Silence. From memory, without using the internet at the time, I had to redraw the front on just some printer paper with Green Expo marker. The most I could remember from it was the steering wheel and pipes.
Its funny I found accelracers and highway 35 because I used to watch alot of battle force 5 when I was younger I got so confused at first when I saw it but then when I watched it I was amazed and couldn't stop rewatching it for while also you video quality is amazing keep up the good work
I wanted to make a comment about Vert, but everyone already did it way better than I could, so I'll make a comment about the Drones instead... The Drones are scary for two reasons. First, they're cold and calculating. They decide to be passive most of the time in the realms because they have already calculated a great number of possible scenarios and they know how to react to them. Engaging with human drivers would be a distraction from the end goal of the realms, which is mastering the necessary skills to win (even with both Teku and Maniacs we see that directly fighting with other drivers is an obstacle and it must be avoided if possible in order to win the race). And well, I already mentioned it. They're robots. They think of themselves as superiors. In their minds, focusing their efforts on killing some inferior beings would sure be considered a waste of time. The second reason is that, when things don't go as they plan it (like Tesla escaping, ending in an unfamiliar place like the Acceledrome, humans infiltrating their base, a Sweeper getting boarded, or Gelorum getting defeated), when they stop underestimating humans once they show themselves as the menace they actually are for them, they let their most savage side out. This behavior they only show in the less expected scenarios makes them unpredictable; you never know when a Drone racer will simply pass you, when it'll decide to use you, or when it'll decide to kill you.
I saw a comment in another video theorizing that the reason Shirako is constantly listening to loud music could be because he has Tinnitus and uses the music to drown out the constant ringing in his ears, kinda like in Baby Driver
You're forgetting they're people, if they don't want to animate and create a 5th movie then we got to respect their wishes. If the VAs don't want to do a 5th movie then you can't get mad at them and creating this is expensive and takes alot of time, it's more complex and tiring than you think.
I would like to talk more about how how shirako could have been fleshed out more as a character, I think his car, baseline was the coolest out of the teku besides reverb, and speaking of baseline he actually only drives that car besides his motorcycle that one time. Maybe it’s only because no other car has that sound system in it, but then you remember the cliff side realm his car is destroyed, so how does he get it back? Instead of getting a new car like very did after the deora 2 or tork with riveted he stays with baseline. It must have cost him to get a new one entirely, that is also exactly the same since his whole car just fell into the abyss. They could have explained this by maybe saying he is rich and that’s how he can afford all of the stereos and music stuff, and that could even work with something you said about why he listens to music so much. So here’s my personal theory on his sort of backstory: his parents are rich, probably selling something technology based like speakers, stereos or something like that, now what if his parents always argued about the family business whether that be about how sales are going or who should stay and parent shirako, this would lead him to turn to music to escape and drown out the arguing of his parents, not only that but it would also explain how he is in a street racing gang, because without his parents to give him much attention he would turn to something else. Driving. Now another thing I noticed is how baseline has the driver side on the right, not left like most American vehicles, the right side driver seat is mostly in Japanese vehicles like (forgive me for using this weeb example) the Toyota trueno ae86 (Yes the one from inital D) so I think his family is from Japanese decent, or from somewhere around Japan, (this is a stretch and I’m not sure about what I’m talking about) but isn’t it in Japanese culture that the father doesn’t spend much time with the kids? And if his parents argued that could have lead to divorce and that’s a whole other thing on its own. His entire connection with technology could have been from his family business being about it, it would explain how he gets the speakers and it would explain how he has baseline constantly since he can afford to just rebuild the same car. His music could be to drown out his parents arguing and escape. His blissful peace could be because he simply accepts the situations he is in, maybe out of depression or just achieving the ultimate vibe. In short, shirako could have been made so much better
Actually Nightlife is Vert's because it doesn't list it as Shirako's and lists it as Vert's in the Meet The Car features and also I'll explain the other reason below. So here's the conversation that I'm gonna list. N:I guess Shirako's gonna ride his motorcycle til he gets his car rebuilt. So has Tezla heard anything from Vert? L:No, are you sure he didn't say anything before he left? N:He just turned up missing along with a Motorcycle... Also here's another important conversation between Vert and his Dad to keep in mind... M:I just came back to get a few things, is that *a new* Motorcycle? V:Uhh yeah *it's just borrowed* uhh, my car got....banged up a little. The last sentence of the first convo literally says that the Motorcycle Vert took is not his and while it's true he says "ride his motorcycle til he gets his car rebuilt" and means it's his, I believe Nolo mentioned his as in Vert because he eventually talks about Vert and given how the Purple Motorcycle isn't his and Vert's name is listed as the Driver of Nightlife, it's clear then with the second convo, the fact Major said the Purple Motorcycle was a new motorcycle literally confirms that Vert had Nightlife before Breaking Point.
Honestly, I agree with all of these but i'll add a few. For me, Sparky coming with vert in the ultimate race, why Tesla put a Nitrox2 Afterburner in Reverb of all cars without explanation, or why he had the keys to the car, no explanation as to why the Swamp Realm opened TWICE, and the drones failed to finish BOTH times. Also, Why is Kurt with the Teku? He's a Grand Prix Racer, why does he join a street racing gang? Why would Alec Wood drive for Tesla without telling the others when the Realms start opening? Especially that its established himself and Vert are somewhat close, in fact, why isnt he with the Teku, he'd fit in much better than Kurt. Why is Kadeem of all people the one to bring the drivers back together with Tesla, he's back with his people, what incentive did he receive to join Tesla without pay? Theres a lot of things that just never make sense in the series that always nagged me that i feel could never be explained.
@@artistanthony1007 but why did he not put it in his own car? Why did tesla have the key to reverb? Then again its not established as verts car, cause he uses the bike in ruins realm, but then why would it be in the basement?
Em relação ao kurt provavelmente se deve fato de ele ter se metido naquele negócio ilegal arruinou a carreira dele de piloto profissional então provavelmente por isso ele se tornou um corredor de rua de uma gangue de rua.
When kurt’s car falls off the lift after the first acceleracers movie, there’s a voice saying “he (didnt/did) fall right over there” its on dvd too. So im wondering there was supposed to be another character that stays in the acceledrome, or like a janitor or something. Anyone else catch it?
Honestly this cartoon movie series was really good I even found kurts toy hot wheels bus in my step moms basement that was scary to go into but still got it. Monkey is my fav character
I only wish that Kurt and Vert had been able too keep the Deora II and Slingshot for up until the swamp realm, and carry the old design ideas into there new cars- It would feel like there signature
My biggest problem with the drones is probably the fact that the movies just glanced over that they’re copying accelachargers when it feels like that should be a big fact that they were able to replicate the super powerful objects that are the main rewards of the realms but it’s only mentioned once in a throw away line to explain why multiple drones can use accelachargers and never mentioned again. Also on the topic of their fear factor Who do you think is the scarier drone soldier The World race drones that We’re design to Semi look like humans, have multiple spindly arms, and can pick up giant chunks of ice from the ground with ease. Or the giant bulky normal drones that look very intimidating and have green shades.
@@chinnymisc Thanks for taking the time to reply but I’m kinda confused Which part of the comment are you talking about specifically? Sorry to bother you but just hope you clarify.
@@pedrohenriquemoraessantos1164 The explanation to how she knew the trap is because Kadeem sounded suspicious when he said "Keep going...straight ahead." and the fact the Drones blast them constantly, she realized that it is a trap and also, they're in the Drones Headquarters so not really extraordinary, it's something anyone would do.
I can explain why some of these aren’t developed more Since Acceleracers is set in a really realistic tone, I will try to explain all of these as close to reality as possible. - The Racing Drones. This one is ALWAYS a flaw, it fundamentally exists in like literally every kind of animated film / series. The first episodes always make the antagonist team look extremely intimidating, like the Vehicons in TFP for example. And after Ep 9, they were all nerfed. Same as the Drones after Ignition. This is due to one of the most typical stereotypes ever: animated films aren’t always taken seriously by adults, unless it’s a documentary video. - Speaking of the Drones, I think you forgot to mention the Sweeper. On paper, this thing is one of the scariest shits ever. If it could eat a car, it could’ve eaten a bus, at least it will be able to eat a public bus. But in reality, plot wise, this thing is absolutely useless as you can see in the movies. The only Sweeper that returned to the Drones’ HQ was the one that was in the humans’ possession, and another one in the Acceledrome. The main purpose of the Sweeper inside the movies is to keep Acceleracers being a family friendly series, and since Mattel had to sell toys, the kids had to have somethingto carry the smaller cars, as well as something that can either either suck them in or spit them out. - Last but not least, the BUDGET. As I mentioned, animated movies aren’t taken seriously by adults, especially the ones that commanded the production team. So they will either make the series boring (TF RID 2015) or make it great but with cut off budget (again, TFP). It was revealed that the Sweeper can store up to 8 - 12 cars inside its big frame and the sweeping propeller can be lifted up, so there were no reasons for them to put a bunch of RD-07s inside almost every single Sweeper. But because of the budget, they couldn’t introduce RD-04, alongside probably 11 more RD-03s inside them. Proof? Junk Realm - Breaking Point, where the Drones were absolutely fucked by the Metal Maniacs, specifically Monkey and PorkChop. This also proved that, RD-07 is the worst Drone vehicle. - Those flaws can make the Drones look like they’re just a bunch of scary-looking robots, but are blatantly useless when you dig deeper. However, realistically, they aren’t. The designers were clearly passionate when designing Drone cars. The Sweeper may be useless in the flims, but not real life: + As mentioned, it can carry the cars. + It was also responsible for spawning *three* other HW devices designs: *First of all, the Top Side Booster of 2016 Track Builder, aka the Power Boost kit. Those boosters work literally the same way the Sweeper spitted out the cars. *Second of all, the Rev n Launch booster of 2018 Track Builder. This one unlike the older designs, had to be manually operated. However, even a slight rev of this thing can send a car literally fly off the track. Compatible with almost every HW design, since the boosting wheel inside can be lifted up. * Lastly, 2021 City: Shark Chomp Transporter. This thing is what I like to call “the Sweeper at home”. It can eat the cars, but cannot spit them out. And it’s also significantly smaller than the original Sweeper. That’s what I could possibly find. If I’ve found more, this comment would’ve become a post on Reddit
@@gregf8918 Ok, let’s continue the story The Teku and Metal Maniacs have existed way before the World Race. However, the Teku only had 4 members, and the Maniacs had like 3, if we only count the cast in Acceleracers. After Vert and Kurt joined, the Teku received equipment such as Grappling Hooks and Jump Jets, inheriting from Wave Ripper and Street Breed technologies. About the Maniacs, after Taro joined, they received Deployable Piercers, Lava Plow, Grappling Hook and Lava Shields for tires, inheriting from Scorcher technology. Well, this is rather easy, the Maniacs’ original base of operations must be a scrapyard. Both teams were just as arrogant and hot headed, since they were originally Street Racing teams. About Kurt and Wylde, after the World Race, got into the shady business deal, ultimately led to Wylde being imprisoned for 2 years, losing his only prototype XP-87 Corvette Stingray. And coincidentally, Markie is the first driver to lose all his cars in both film series, and to make matter worse, all his cars were original content from their respective films. About Kurt, after the deal, clearly lost most of his fans, his reputation once again went down, and he finally backed off to street racing with his remain Sling Shot. Around 6 months after the World Race, Tone died. And the rest is history.
My only gripes are they got rid of Vert for too long and I wish they didn't replace the actual drone cars with only sweepers and motorcycle drones for the entire 3rd movie
th-cam.com/video/4tVA--cLXVY/w-d-xo.html basically this video as well as focus on the friendship of tork and nolo and the brotherly love of Kurt and wylde
I think if they ever redoo the series, they should remove the final of breaking point with Wylde and Kadeem or just remove kadeem from the scene. That's because it doesn't make sence with how the fourth is made. During that scene at end of breaking point, we get two revelations: one, Wylde as been captured and two, Kadeem's transformation. But in the fourth movie, there are multiples scenes that are made as if to tease the appearence of kadeem. For exemple, when the drivers enter the drone's HQ, we get a close up shot of kadeem face, where we see half of it (the more human one). And when later on, kurt arrives at the drone tower, where Markie is, shot revealing of kadeem is made in a dramatic way, as if the movie wants the viewer to be surprised/shocked by the appearence of the former world race driver, the same way kurt is feeling when he see him. But since the third movie completely screwed up the shock and surprise element of the scene, we don't get that effect in fourth movie and so, all the build up to drone kadeem appearence in movie is useless. If we get rid of the scene in Breaking point, the element of shock and surprise is kept.
i didnt say it happened but its a way of explaining lanis character. So although dresden didnt actually get lost in acceleracers, they could add that in to explain why lani is staying with tesla
This series nearly perfect, watching the series grown up the only thing I wish we got was more info about banjee Dan dresden and Alec not surviving the relms. I know it's theorized they're the silencerz but all we get is " they all went into the relms and they never came out. And the only other thing is a 5th movie yo conclude the series properly!!!!
Alec is RD-L1 because A) He got Wylde, Taro and Kadeem to mess up in the Storm Realm but avoided Vert and Kurt, B) He is intelligent and has memories, C) He drives Truck-based vehicles and D) He has the Fog AcceleCharger, his loss in the Fog Realm could be like how Vert lost in the Water Realm which Fog is just Water Vapor and in the Fog, Drones sneak attacked him and did what they did to Taro explaining how RD-L1 has the Fog AcceleCharger but Alec never returned from the Realm.
I don’t think characters need to be change, there’s nothing wrong with flat characters who exist for the sake of filling a role i.e; Lani. She is that force of positivity in al the conflict and negativity.
I said to improve the series (not thst there's anything wrong) you can explore the characters. Exploring them is not changing them, and my suggestions would make them more complex:)
@@chinnymisc Like I enjoyed the movies as a kid but after rewatching 2F2F somewhere in the 2020s, I realized it's not as great as I thought it was and I rewatched AcceleRacers and HW35, watched it over & over and it's still as great as I remember.
@@AnthroGearhead That is true but many shows have that. I am saying those races also stick with you. Action scenes are the hardest to make and they did a great job with it. Just as important as character drama is the actions scene and the moments that are just fun to watch.
ChinnyMisc:"the last 3 movies werent scary" Me: Bruh fricken kadeen as a drone and Glorium dispatching from her human self in order to kill vert were way fucking scarier.(like horror movie level, way scarier than nightmare on elm street or some shit lmao) Unless you're only talking about the regular drones in which i should've pay attention to on this vid more lol, IDK what the hell you talking about😭😭
So my theory why the drones keep getting fucked in the realm is that the avcelerons themselves tell them the realms are designed for drivers... I mean just look at the ways they die, its just dumb luck not even bad driving. The same thing happens to the drivers but they somehow cant seem to die. The BEST example of this is the storm realm. Why does the lighting kills the drones and not the humans? Why did geloroum's car kept getting hit and not vert's? I found this the only way to justify that.
I have to disagree about the drone not being scary not fully just a little bit because when I was younger I was too afraid of the drone homework’s I wouldn’t even watch the 4th movie I was terrified lol
That would also justify tezla fully trusting him out of nowhere (yes its out of choice but make the guy a bit less robotic!)
I personally wanted in the follow up movie for his father to say something like "I know you, when someone tells you to quit you do your best just to prove them wrong...
I feel like Verts double regression was necessary, because they aren't targeting the same thing, at first he wanted to stop fighting the drones because he felt like he was dead weight, and when he came back and failed once more he lost even more confidence and felt worse than before because of his bad leg, and his dad words echoed that he should quit, not just stop driving against the drones, and a double regression feels more natural, just because he came back doesn't mean he suddenly regained his confidence, and, naturally, he took another fall
Edit: I'm also glad that the EDR was introduced to lower tensions, because after so many movies the tension would boil over, you gotta release tension or its unwatchable
You worded it way better than I could have done. Thanks.
I agree completely on almost everything else though, except the regression of Vert's character as that is a completely human thing to happen (I've even had it happen on occasion)
Edit: Oh sweet, thanks for the heart! Love your work, hope we can work together on something someday, because this franchise needs more love.
All These movies are such a huge part of my childhood, I’m so glad I still have these movies original dvds
Really enjoy your acceleracer videos they make the show better for me and is helping with my fanfiction where I change the parts of the show I didnt like and expand some of the scenes that weren't included in the DVD release
Even with the flaws of accelracers, it’s still a blast to watch till this very day.
Still wishing for a 5th film to be made.

@@AnthroGearhead Tbh I just wanna see how Accelerons officially race and their mindset, that's the only thing I want to see the most out of anything else.

Oof, that's a sad thing to hear.
A general outline for how I'd approach each episode is this:
Ep 1 - "Ignition": Introduces the characters, gives more context on what the World Race was and how drivers like Vert, Taro, and Kadeem know each other, shows the disastrous first race in the Storm Realm before introducing Dr.
Ep 3 - "Two-Way Exit": Immediately starts in the Lava Realm (which is also a bit longer), followed by another character interaction interlude which shows the passage of time as the all-terrain tires and EDR are developed, the Water Realm forms the second half, which is largely the same (Porkchop's fear of water and the EDR's first use, Taro accidentally ending up in the Racing Drone HQ and having to go through the realm again, Vert going AWOL due to self-doubt.)
Ep 4 - "The Speed of Silence": The Metro Realm is kept largely the same, except afterwards we actually see Gig confirming that Kurt's car has no traces of Accelecharger energy, and more effects of growing distrust towards Kurt.
I r3ally like this lmao

You should add the bit where Kurt and Mark informs Vert about them finding Kadeem but failed to bring him back, thus Vert accepted the reality after seeing Mark's arm being replaced which motivates Vert to stop the Drones

this, avatar, regular show, spongebob to a degree is one of the few kid shows i still really enjoy
If you want to do yourself a huge favour, check out Gargoyles when you get the chance.
sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the part where the "drones should find the swap realm the easiest" works in the movie. scenes like 17:38 show that the drones car is too wide and while staying in the centre of the track, both wheels are on top of the moss making their traction worse. however you can clearly see that in scenes like 17:50 nolos car clearly fits within the edges of the moss, allowing him to stay in the groove. while the size of the cars and the track is very inconsistent in this realm we can just assume its because the track changes width, leaving more reason why the drones are fine in some parts and get eliminated one after another in other parts
I died when Mark throws his tool when Kurt was mention 😆

Remastered version be like
- Banjee appears at the canyon race, getting to know Nolo before leaving instead of watching the pointless race
- Dune Ratz should have come rescue Brian
- Mark Wylde never left Wave Rippers but also joins Street Breed as a no.2 driver cuz Dan still the leader and never involved with Kurt's bullshit but still upset about it
- Alec and other Wave Rippers stayed with Vert despite seperate teams
- Deora 2,Slingshot and Roadrunner shouldnt come to a horrid end
- Dr Tezla improves the EDR that prevents losing drivers and cars, especially the part where Vert gets taken in by the Silencers but Reverb, Sparky and the Accel chargers were in good hands as the EDR aid their escape
- Karma finds time to help other drivers to improve since most of them arent really race car drivers
Bonus: i love to see a Street Breed edition Spinebuster and Wave Rippers FlatFurry
A great story and character development this series has is why it's an awesome show.
Now you're not just losing the things around you, but you're hurting yourself.
i think that the double regression that vert had was a good thing, i belive that it gave him a side of humanity as we all have times similar to what he went through
Wish Deora 2 staye thru the whole movie but HW didnt want to becuz of "new models" coming
Bro I like this movie series so much. When I lost the cover art for Speed of Silence. From memory, without using the internet at the time, I had to redraw the front on just some printer paper with Green Expo marker. The most I could remember from it was the steering wheel and pipes.

The injury put Vert back into that dark place
I swaer to god the German voice acting for These Movies makes this even better The German Voice Actor are so perfect for everybody
A leader makes the best decisions for the team
Self-doubt isn't so easily overcome. Also it was for a slightly different reason the second time

Always good vids keep up the good work :)
I saw a comment in another video theorizing that the reason Shirako is constantly listening to loud music could be because he has Tinnitus and uses the music to drown out the constant ringing in his ears, kinda like in Baby Driver
Yeah this series really aged well like extra fine wine.
It seems like these companies blatantly ignore what the consumer wants and then we accept what they give us jus cuz that’s all we have to consume
Please forgive my long rant
Nitrox 2 Afterburner was experimental, he let Vert test it and clearly didn't have time to finish it.
@@artistanthony1007 but why did he not put it in his own car? Why did tesla have the key to reverb? Then again its not established as verts car, cause he uses the bike in ruins realm, but then why would it be in the basement?

Em relação ao kurt provavelmente se deve fato de ele ter se metido naquele negócio ilegal arruinou a carreira dele de piloto profissional então provavelmente por isso ele se tornou um corredor de rua de uma gangue de rua.
both of you make decent points, they could be tied up better than i thought
When kurt’s car falls off the lift after the first acceleracers movie, there’s a voice saying “he (didnt/did) fall right over there” its on dvd too. So im wondering there was supposed to be another character that stays in the acceledrome, or like a janitor or something. Anyone else catch it?
Honestly this cartoon movie series was really good I even found kurts toy hot wheels bus in my step moms basement that was scary to go into but still got it. Monkey is my fav character
I only wish that Kurt and Vert had been able too keep the Deora II and Slingshot for up until the swamp realm, and carry the old design ideas into there new cars-
It would feel like there signature
My biggest problem with the drones is probably the fact that the movies just glanced over that they’re copying accelachargers when it feels like that should be a big fact that they were able to replicate the super powerful objects that are the main rewards of the realms but it’s only mentioned once in a throw away line to explain why multiple drones can use accelachargers and never mentioned again.
Also on the topic of their fear factor
Who do you think is the scarier drone soldier
The World race drones that We’re design to Semi look like humans, have multiple spindly arms, and can pick up giant chunks of ice from the ground with ease.
Or the giant bulky normal drones that look very intimidating and have green shades.
I'll get to it eventually:D

@@pedrohenriquemoraessantos1164 The explanation to how she knew the trap is because Kadeem sounded suspicious when he said "Keep going...straight ahead." and the fact the Drones blast them constantly, she realized that it is a trap and also, they're in the Drones Headquarters so not really extraordinary, it's something anyone would do.
I can explain why some of these aren’t developed more
Since Acceleracers is set in a really realistic tone, I will try to explain all of these as close to reality as possible.
The Sweeper may be useless in the flims, but not real life:
+ As mentioned, it can carry the cars.
+ It was also responsible for spawning *three* other HW devices designs:
*First of all, the Top Side Booster of 2016 Track Builder, aka the Power Boost kit.
What about the near two years between each movies release?

Ok, let’s continue the story
The Teku and Metal Maniacs have existed way before the World Race.
@@duyducluu6821 Oh, I mean the actual making of the animated movie. Though you do bring up all kinds of points.
You raise good points bro
Can't argue about this.
Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to get in contact with someone at hot wheels or Mattel or w.e to ask why they can’t finish the series
I would love to know that eather 😐
The show got shut down and cancelled. Just gotta deal with it, I don't even know if mainframe animation is even alive
Shirako's VA is dead.
@@z-chan946 They aren't especially now with Corona.
@@artistanthony1007 that’s not a good reason to cancel a show tho
Thanks for the video. I would change the character design to a more human form.
My only gripes are they got rid of Vert for too long and I wish they didn't replace the actual drone cars with only sweepers and motorcycle drones for the entire 3rd movie
Chinny, a question for you, if the series got a genuine revival and continued right where the story left off -- what would you bring to the series?
th-cam.com/video/4tVA--cLXVY/w-d-xo.html basically this video as well as focus on the friendship of tork and nolo and the brotherly love of Kurt and wylde
I totally forgot what this series was called, I remember watching it whenever it came on
I think if they ever redoo the series, they should remove the final of breaking point with Wylde and Kadeem or just remove kadeem from the scene.
And now you’re into cars. Especially japanese cars. Did i guess?
12:19 LMAOOO
The clicks man..the clicks
Sorry j made all if these before I could edit out the clicks ./.
@@chinnymisc its fine, hope the next vid is even better
@@z-chan946 uhhh itkk be in nolos grief and the beauty of the water realm
Nolo got 1 of the hardest cars in the series
I would give this movie a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
10:16 Dresden got lost in the fog realm? uh never heard of that
i didnt say it happened but its a way of explaining lanis character. So although dresden didnt actually get lost in acceleracers, they could add that in to explain why lani is staying with tesla
@@chinnymisc There's Warped and Monument though.
@@artistanthony1007 it was an example he ciuld get lost in either of those realms
Probably gonna make alot of people upset with this but AcceleRacers is better than Fast & The Furious.
YES
@@chinnymisc Like I enjoyed the movies as a kid but after rewatching 2F2F somewhere in the 2020s, I realized it's not as great as I thought it was and I rewatched AcceleRacers and HW35, watched it over & over and it's still as great as I remember.
Kurt saving Mark is wholesome because *FAMILY*
@@AnthroGearhead You know as much as I'm not a fan of FATF anymore, I'll let that reference slide.
Yea, they kinda reversed Vert back because they needed him at his lowest for the finale and blew it too soon during Breaking point...
I think there are a problem with adding to much drama for drama sake. One of AcceleRacers great strength is they make their race and fun.
World Race was family friendly but Acceleracers is about *FAMILY*
@@AnthroGearhead That is true but many shows have that.
I am saying those races also stick with you. Action scenes are the hardest to make and they did a great job with it.
Just as important as character drama is the actions scene and the moments that are just fun to watch.
ChinnyMisc:"the last 3 movies werent scary"
Me: Bruh fricken kadeen as a drone and Glorium dispatching from her human self in order to kill vert were way fucking scarier.(like horror movie level, way scarier than nightmare on elm street or some shit lmao) Unless you're only talking about the regular drones in which i should've pay attention to on this vid more lol, IDK what the hell you talking about😭😭
Regular drones boi
So my theory why the drones keep getting fucked in the realm is that the avcelerons themselves tell them the realms are designed for drivers... I mean just look at the ways they die, its just dumb luck not even bad driving. The same thing happens to the drivers but they somehow cant seem to die.
The BEST example of this is the storm realm. Why does the lighting kills the drones and not the humans? Why did geloroum's car kept getting hit and not vert's? I found this the only way to justify that.
Actually the AC is Lightning Rod so you know what that means.
I have to disagree about the drone not being scary not fully just a little bit because when I was younger I was too afraid of the drone homework’s I wouldn’t even watch the 4th movie I was terrified lol
