Kudos to 10 years!!! what can I say....this is one of the best "need to know" videos, of any hobby, that I have seen. I am new to FPV Drones and this was super helpful in many ways. Been flying a cheap 2" drone and im ready to go big or go home; especially some LR flights. Thank you for taking the time to putting this content out. You have earned my subscription, I look forward to bingeing your videos over the next few weeks!
After flying RC for years, I've jumped in to FPV for the first time. Thank you for all the information provided that assists an individual such as myself make well informed decisions. One thing I would add is that for those starting out, buy the best radio you can afford initially. This gives you a piece of equipment that you can grow with rather than having to purchase the same level of radio as skills and distance increase. Just a thought from a guy that bought 4 radios in RC and have 3 that just sit now.
I used to get a lot or noise in my video especially when i was on the throttle. Now i run two LC filters one for the camera and one for the vtx. It provides super clean power for both and clears up any and almost all noise
This is an awesome video JD. You know I don't have the slightest idea about FPV, but this video is amazing. I have flown helicopters before, but this is definitely a bit different. Thanks for sharing my friend. 👍👍👍
What a great video! I would love it if you revisit it the best long range 7-in like you did last year. If I remember correctly you didn't have a lot of stick time on the crocodile to really claim it over the chimera. And it would be a great video before more comes out in 24. Thank you again for the video
What happened to your jumper T20 radio controller if I may ask. Did you not like that one anymore? Besides the customization on the boxer is there any reason to choose the boxer over the T20 controller. Thanks.!
Very informative, my suggestion is for anyone trying to figure out anything about power. Do the math, or get someone else to do the math for you. These batteries are nothing like the older days with NiMh. LIPOs and LiOn batteries are very dangerous and it’s mandatory for the proper respect and careful handling. One other very important point is never continue to use a “puffed” Lipo, discharge fully and discard responsibility. Good Luck Pilots, be safe out there.
I’m fairly new to this game. I have two 5” and have Racekraft 5051 props thanks to my kid buying several bags years ago. Is that too much pitch for a beginner? I can fly it line of sight. Thanks
Be cool if you could do a video on basics. Go to look at your product recommendations and get confused on options. ERLS, nano, crossfire, 2.4, 5.?. Anyone have a FPV for dummies tutorial or video? Would like to go for it, but hobby money is not limitless and need to make correct choices. I am in aviation and I understand industry jargon can be confusing, all the jargon you use is for people that have a clue already.
5:29 I shared a photo last year of a guys face that looked like a tiger 🐅 slapped him across the face... Yeah, take those props off if you like your appearance the way it is.

Wow lol I use the same battery safe box lol thanks usa
new subscriber and I'm learning a lot from your videos before i buy a decent drone.
What's your recommendation for long range flight as a beginner? Something like the Foldape4?

Nice upload man. Hope you’re doing well

As long as you don’t have jello they should be ok. They’re fairly tapered. Odd prop but will be ok. Try some Ethix 5”
Looks like JRock.
JD, you sound a bit better. I'm guessing you're on the only end of covid... how fun was that...

Wouldn’t you want to know what direction your motors spin before you solder them down and how would you check that
There’s no way to know which direction they spent until you saw them down. You have to check that manually or using betaflight or BLheli configurator.
@@dronecamps but you had it all tightened down so how’d you get it right
@@dronecamps if you do t mind sharing
@@dronecampshey man I’m new to the hobby that’s why I was asking you because I’m unsure so if you could give me advice that would be awesome
@@RGMLLCyou can change the direction of the motors if needed in beta flight
