Great video man!
when are you gonna start posting again?
Holy shit, he's alive! Legit thought you might have died lol
@@MattPochwat please come back, you make awesome videos
Thanks my man, catch up sometime soon ✌
No way it’s Matt Pochwat! Thank you so much bro for getting me into the hobby. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have been able to experience the gift of flight. Can’t thank you enough.
I love tiny whoops. They are cheap to buy and repair. You can fly them almost anywhere. They forgive a lot of crashes and you don't have much stress with Karens.😅 So they are very beginner-friendly. For 1s Lipos I can recommend the VIFLY whoopstor 3. Adjustable charging current, discharge function and storage mode. Costs around 35 bugs. Greetings from Germany 🖖
was about to say that too, I got myself that betafpv charger but I am really missing a storage charge function, so I would probably go with that charger if I started out again
100% agree, I got that betafpv charger and compared to the Vifly charger, it is easily the best 1s charger!
Ahh yes the ultimate destroyer Karen
Btw it’s a joke
I'm having dificulties with what analog goggles to buy for a whoop.. I really don't want box goggles
I dont know what you guys are talking abt i am struggling so mutch to find a cheap affordable bundle that comes with fpv goggles and a remote ant spares and more but I am in South Africa so i can hardley import so if someone can help please do i am still young
THANK YOU!!!! This is exactly what I've been needing! Simply having the info about picking out a controller that can be used with differing setups is great!
I really appreciate that you referenced Matt Pochwatt's video! I find that content creators rightfully giving credit to other content creators is quite rare on TH-cam.
Matt is an amazing guy, I’d never miss a chance to credit him haha
@@BrodieReedhave you tired ro drone I have being using it as a simulator it’s on roblox
I don’t know if a better video is possible.
I bought the iFlight Nazgul5 v3 and upgraded it with the walksnail moonlight system. When i bought the Nazgul5 v3, the XL5 ECO wasn't released. I have spend around 1000€ for everything you need to fly. I only have two batteries, but i think it is worth it, because you got a much better view and can even record really good footage
I would love to hear about a walksnail bundle with that pocket radio and a small 75 or 85 whoop.
This as an absolute beginner was very helpful! shot and edited beautifully too!
Best video about drone fpv I could find
this hobby is honestly so cheap, just for 1100,- you get a really professional setup. Cant even get that in gaming computers nowadays
Not sure i fully agree on the more budget side of this video, going from a whoop to a 5 inch is a big jump, I'm not sure why you haven't considered smaller open prop drones at all. 3 and 3.5 inch drones are amazing to start with. They're usually under 250g and are much more beginner friendly and forgiving than a 5 inch, and also a little easier to fly because of the disc loading and weight, yet they can be flown outside very well, unlike whoops which are bad for flying outside because they're too light and underpowered for any proper freestyle
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My first was a Walkera Ladybird in 2015! I bought a cheap bundle in 2018 that sucked!
I have a Mavic Air 1 that I bought in November.
Now a 5 inch long range is being made for me as I write this.
I went with the 400 dallor budget, and it it so cool thx
The Avata 2 is somewhat costly, but it is worth every cent. So much fun. It's also fun for your friends or family, since anyone can learn to fly it in just 1 minute.
Avata 2 is indeed good, but for very specific purposes and isn't good for beginners moving into Manual mode. The moment you crash, that's it done sadly
@@BrodieReed The opposite is also true: with my Avata 2, I can take off in GPS mode and fly to a decent altitude. Then, when I'm feeling confident, I can switch it to manual mode and have some flying fun. Whenever I do not feel confident, I can hit the pause button and not crash. When I want to land again, I can safely land in GPS mode.
@@someguy5334 it's nice to have these features, but if you plan to move deeper into the hobby you need to taper yourself off them entirely before switching.
Once you get to a point that you don't need to change flight modes or use the pause button to regain control you have a solid foundation for larger drones.
Agreed. I have avata 1 and 2 and just recently sold my DJI FPV drone.
Would never go back to anything that's not DJI.👌
@@someguy5334 The speedy switch to assisted normal mode is great. Out of control Switch! Plus, it limits its angle in manual by default making learning easy and messing up harder.
4:18 - Here I gotta stop you. Do NOT get the Cetus kit. 3 of my friends and I had this kit, and it broke really fast, the controller is trash, drone isn't that durable. Get the RM pocket you suggested earlier, add to that a Happymodel Mobula 6 ELRS, and the BetaFPV goggles VR2 or VR3 are fine, get some tinywhoop batteries, even from BetaFPV. But DON'T buy the Literadio nor the Cetus, they're not good products and are notoriously flawed.
I know this will be more expensive, but going for Cetus is wasting your money, in my opinion.
@@uzer12387 Hey, thanks for your comment 😁 currently Looking at buying some kit or separate parts for me to begin and cetus was my option at least until I read this. Can i ask what your opinion for the 500$ set? Should i go with the 500$ drone but cheap out on the goggles for the betaFPV V3? Can you help me look into this? Thanks
@@uzer12387 okay thanks ill think about it❤️
@@YarosMallorca okay thanks😎
This comment was very helpful
I’ve had mine for 2yrs, been an alright purchase tbh
You saved me a lot of time.
Yep
I actually prefer the Eachine EV800D to the Eachine EV200D. This will be by preference per person but I would say that box googles are always good to have to show a buddy so going this route gives you that capability after you upgrade yourself.
This was VERY WELL DONE! Really helps a beginner. Thanks AtMotoR
Instead of the Betafpv 1s battery charger, I would recommend the WhoopStor 3 charger. It can charge PH2.0, BT2.0, has an LCD screen to change settings, and can storage charge your batteries, which can preserve your batterie's lifespan. (Storage charging is increasing or decreasing the batteries to a certain voltage which helps preserve your batteries when they are not in use.) You can power it on with usb-c, XT60, and DC. It is a little more expensive, but definitely worth the cost to be able to storage charge.
Thanks for your videos! I am just starting out in the hobby and they all have helped so much!
I got a tango 2 for a few spare parts and some props that i didnt need, and bought a pair of googles2 for 400nzd with faulty touch pad and replaced the touch pad for 30nzd for a newbee this week and sold him a 3inch quad with a battery for 600$ so it only cost him 1030$
You convinced my mum THANK YOU!!
Awesome, i've also got to convince my mum lol
@@Skyline_RC all i have to do is work 10 bajillion hours my mom and ask her to buy them cuz i dont got a credit card
When charging 1s batteries with the betafpv 6 port charger, does it have a storage charge mode? if not how should i get my batteries to storage charge for safety?
I personally bought a tinyhawk freestyle 2 bundle kit its a 2.5 carbonfiber frame an just upgraded the remote to the betafpv lite radio 2 se and changed the drone connecter to ec2 connecter bc i have 2s ec2 batters
I really recommend the radiomaster pocket. I started off on a tinyhawk 3FS Kit, and after a few months the only thing that isn't in the trash is my goggles.
It would have been like $50 to replace the Emax radio. For like $25 more you can get a pocket ELRS and its literally 200% better. Also binding your own drones is a nice little baby step into betaflight or ELRS configurator if you use binding phrase.
love the budget structure of the video! helpful thanks.
I recommend getting the Hota F6 4 port charger instead of buying a 2 port charger with balance boards. It costs about the same, and will be more future proof, as if you decide you want to upgrade your drone or get a different one with different batteries, then you will be able to charge more different batteries at once. You will also get the added benefit of not having to deal with the messiness of having extra boards and cables. For around 20-30 more dollars, (as of right now) you can get the AC verson which has a built in AC adapter so you do not have to lug around a massive converter.
Great video but why have an Avata 2 on the thumbnail and then not include it in the video?
Could you possibly make a slightly more affordable digital version video? I’ve been thinking about getting the pocket master radio, and the walksnail goggles L. I’m just not sure on what drone to get!- thank you! Love the videos
Excellent video. I would have advised with a little footnote that people might want to grab the ViFly Whoopstor 3 for the extra $15. The ability to storage charge batteries easily without flying the voltage down is almost essential for new pilots.
Underrated comment. I absolutely love my whoopstor, and I dont recomend buying an extra charger like he said in the video during the 400 dollar section.
I would change the infinite Budget to the Bonka 6S Batteries, because they are so good.
You mentioned that some parts are hard to come by at the moment. My guess is that it's the conflicts going on and countries stock piling drone parts.
Im confused does the radio master connect to the meteor 75 or do I need to get another controller to connect to it
one company TCMMRC. 5in drones PNP for under 150$ usd most of the time. love the pocket 6 months with it. and an evd800 clone google , this is my set up. i love my poor mans 2fiddy. love the vid.
u dont really need to upgrade the RM Pocket, its more than enough for FPV QUADS. I have it paired w the big boy RM Ranger, i just miss the weight of the TX16s. My radio journey:
Frsky q7 -> Jumper t16 -> Tango 2 Pro -> Jumper t20 -> RM tx16s Max(red, still have it) -> RM Boxer -> RM Pocket + RM Ranger (big Boi).
And i just preordered the RM GX12 to see if its going to replace the Pocket
This maybe outdated with new budget digital goggles and vtx. Excited about the new upcoming caddx openipc-ish analog replacer.
Not even 1 minute in,and already... Thank you 🤣
i got a pavo 2 pro comming to use an O3 kit, i want a mini-whoop but im waiting for that new o4 system... hopefully we will see meteors that support that
for 700usd i got the nazgul eco with the commando 8 and skyzone cobra v4 and 3 1380 mah which runs great in my opinion
W vid keep it up bro!🔥🔥
Thanks my man!
Getting into FPV for the first time - would love a video on what drone sim lets you replicate the experience of flying an Avata 2 the most accurately so you can really try out the experience before buying it!
DJI has an official flight simulator you can install on IOS (possibly android). In this flight simulator the Avata is one of the drones. And it’s completely free!
Doesn't allow you to use the RC controller @@esseren
That was such a great video thank you man!👍
Just staring out, thanks for great breakdown, now I know where to start.
Great video.
8:51 I have the ISDT 608AC and the same Speedy Pizza 6s batteries and it just barely can't charge 2 of them at 1c. So the parallel board is more for convince than it is for saving time since you'll only be able to charge at around 2A. Also I may be one in a thousand who's had a problem with the ISDT charger but the balancing function no longer works. Not a huge issue as I just run the batteries down to 3.8ish volts after flying and leave them there but it is still annoying and thought I should mention it here
I purchased the LiteRadio 3 Radio Transmitter yesterday which I will be using to play a sim. After some experience im going to get the Meteor75 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter (2022). Is this an okay route?
Where can I find the nazgul eco analog on a trusted site? or what site did you use?
One essential item you didn’t mention was a Lipo fire resistant bag or the “Batsafe “ case .. .. good review though 😀
Can you use the 550 mAh lava batteries with the meteor 75
i would recommend for the 500/600 dollar budget i would get a second hand drone pack with everything and a dji v1 goggles with dji video system.
Excellent Excellent advice on the drone sim. I would have ruined so so many drones.
Hi there! I was just wondering what you would suggest for a first had fpv system. I have been flying anolag for a while and am looking at switching to digital but I don’t know if I should go with Walksnail moonlight or dji 03. What would you suggest? Thanks
13:47 has got your answer ✌️
love u for making this 2 months after i bought my stuff lol
It is usually windy where I live so for the $300 budget should I get a meteor85 for $10 more?
I can’t find find the VR03 goggles available to buy. I hope you can help me with this.
Even if I wanted to spend more money on the radio, I'd never choose a DJI remote over a Radiomaster...
Been using a RM Pocket, and honestly, it is a gem among radios. Quality-made, has literally everything a hobbyist, enthusiast needs and more. For around 100$ it is just as good as tx16 or any other costly competitor
Thank you so much for this video! Really helps and it is very much appreciated!
I want to buy my first fpv drone
Should I buy cetus pro, cetus X or Aquila 16
They have similar price
Thanks for posting this video.
which one would you recommend between ev800d and ev800dm goggles?
thank you
Will the dji goggles 2 work with the nazgul?
Love ur videos man❤
Glad to hear ✌️
Would it be easier to just get a DJI bundle?
1200 - Avata 2 Fly More Kit.
Hello, love your videos ❤
Howdy! Appreciate the support ✌️
Hey @brodie, looks like BetaFPV meteor 75 pro is sold out everywhere. Any thoughts on alternate or how to get hands on one?
WWWWWWW LOVE YOUR VIDEOS HUGE FAN I DO FPV AND AM IN NZ. HOPE YOU SEE THIS BRODIE!!!
Legend, appreciate you!
I got the radiomaster boxer what are some good budget drone and goggles. i like the little one for 300$, is it compatible?
So I have 4-5 months of sim training I hade $1000 to dispose and bought the dji explorer fpv drone which gives me a 4K 50-60 fps, lights, 80miles p/h, very rigid but not easy to repair(I crushed it like 3 times) at sport mode and it has its own app to track where you flew it and can’t forget the vertical gyro camera stabllisers and it is very noob friendly in flying it couse of the altitude hold/lock so was this a good purchase or a bad purchase😅😅😅
Bad
Can you make they tiny woops faster like what mods and what battery can I get to make it last longer 5 minutes is to short lol I am just starting so don’t judge
I think jumper t15 is better then Radiomaster boxer and I think you should review that
How do you feel about the BateFPV Air65 over the meteor series?
where can i get the radio master controller?
what's your opinion about the speedybee master 5 v2? they say it's a better option than the if light nazgul
what is the drone after the centus? medalpro? sorry I can;t read that good and hard to hear what your saying? I Have a Centus Pro and X is that drone better?
Great video, for the 300$ one I would actually get the Air75 instead of the Meteor75 Pro and for the saved money buy another pack of batteries
Possibly, the Air75 is lighter, thinner frame, and smaller motors. Different abilities from each drone, both are a great choice
Damn ima sub
Appreciate the content bro! Just curious about HDZero! Is there a reason these are excluded?
For beginners it's not the best route in, I would say it's pretty niche towards racing primarily, and the components are all expensive which hikes the price up for a middle of the road quality
cI'm getting into fpv and got a pocket already. I would get the jumper t15 instead of the radiomaster boxer if I was spending that money on an upgrade. More feature at a lower cost.
I had a friend plug in his jumper radio to charge it, it stated smoking. Jumper has some QC issues
Jumper isnt reliable. The price and features isnt everything
Hi guys, please help. What’s the range and flight time on any of the 600 - 900 priced bundles?
I haver a boxer and sky cobra goggles but no drone or batteries 😢 drone broke and the 3 batteries i had either exploded or are lost lol
If i get the radio master pocket and use it to practice on pc will i be able to get a drone later on and use that same controller for it?
I started straight with a Helion 10 myself 😂
Goddamn, thats certainly a way to start out lol
That’s interesting. Did you get the drone and controller and start in the sim or did you already know how to fly?
I’ve seen some really decent prices on one of those large drones and I’m tempted to buy one while the price is low.
I've got a controller just as of today. Downloaded a sim. Crashed for 3 hours long. I am going to spend 1000 hours before I buy into this thing. Its super hard. TRY on sim before you buy anything! 1000 hours is like a few hours / day. I am a dad, husband, but still can do it. Lets go guys!
Hey dude (or anyone who can answer) what mic are you using?
Its the DJI wireless Lavalier set
Is there a big difference between the 3 blade and 2 blade props for the Meteor 75 Pro and why did you select the 2 blades for the spares?
The Radiomaster Pocket costs 80-130$ and the VR03 80-100$ i trained in tryp fpv i have 3s and 4s lupos what drone build would you recommend?
hello it was a nice video but 1 question because i want to buy the meteor 85 instead of the meteor 75 pro how do you charge 2s batteries or where can you buy Type-C to SH1.0 Adapter and SH1.0 Cable
I’m thinking of getting the 1100 digital but it’s 1200 so where can buy it to come out on 1100 I even switched the integro to the n3 goggles so I want to get the it with the 04 air unit bc the Nazgûl is coming with the o4 very soon so what do I do to get it cheaper
I start with avata2 fly more combo..
What about the monitor
I’m thinking of going with the $500 setup but I have a question. On iflights website where I will buy the Nazgûl eco there’s a couple options for a receiver and a option for no receiver. What one should I get if I’m pairing it with the radio master pocket and the enchine ev800d goggles.
An alternative to the meteor75pro is the betafpv is the air75. Newer version which came out this year and has the same properties as the meteor75 pro. It doesnt come eith a case however i think it is cheaper at 95USD.
Agreed, both a great choices! Motor sizes are certainly different though and the Meteor75 Pro still feels more robust IMO. Only something some more time will be able to tell though! ✌️
Do you recommend the betafpv cetus x for a beginner?
what if the controller runs out of battery do i need to buy new battery's
Hey man, are you interested in forming a think tank of sorts? It'd be cool to have someone to bounce ideas, titles, thumbnails off of!
Fire me through an email ✌️
what receiver should the nazgul xl5 eco be since there are multiple options on iflight?
So you don’t need the DJI radio for O3?
Also for an analog system I’m assuming that you need another camera (go pro) to capture video outside of the FPV camera whereas the DJI O3 functions as both the fpv and “cinema” camera. Wouldn’t that kind of equalize the price of digital vs analog given the price of a Go Pro?
Thank you for another great video.
No you can do it either way, when buying the drone online. You can use 03 for video only and have a separate receiver soldered on (ELRS, crossfire, etc). Or use the 03 to control everything (PNP).
Some people do this for convenience. But as an owner of the Avata 2, I've seen how quickly the signal drops especially when flying fast, and DJI control drops along with it.
A Crossfire or ELRS controller can hang in there longer when your DJI goggles go blind. Giving you a chance to recover your video signal with controller input.
@@brandon9689 Thanks for responding. I just ordered the Radiomaster Boxer ELRS radio.
@@thomashardy9994 that's awesome. They aren't the most user friendly things to navigate at first. But they can do a lot, I'm still learning to use my pocket.
But once you get the basics you can make presets for multiple aircraft and swap between them, set up voice prompts for each switch and button if you want. They are awesome.

I'm a bit confused here, you said in the video "speedy pizza 1200mAh 6s" while on the screen it clearly says 4s.
Yeah he said that he’d prefer you the 6s but the kit is with 4s but spending allotted more for 6s is better
200, 300 or 400 what should i choose? im a beginner
