This young man is spot on. His description of the approach, how to conduct oneself, how to build your "brand" is sage advice. And, it applies in so many areas of life, not just drones.

I love you man!! Thanks for the inspiration! Was flying the potato for 2 years but recently cashed in my savings (right after losing my full time video job), ordered a nazgul and gonna try to make fpv a part of my living.

I literally just got my fist fpv drone, (iflight titan xl5) and this video really came in handy. Im a little to scared to fly outside right now so I am practicing on a simulater. I have flown the DJI mini 2 for a year now and I just wanted to get into something, a little for faster and fun. I am even thinking about trying to start my own TH-cam channel showing my progress in FPV.

Man, you and Bardwell inspired me to actually get into FPV. Now I'm a war correspondent, using my Nazgul to create footage in Ukraine. FPV is an AMAZING hobby and it can be extremely great to use for work. But...but it's also complex. HIGHLY complex. Both on the flying and the legal and the building experience. However, just like playing, say, Dwarf Fortress...the fun you get out of it just doesn't match anything else. Fly safe and let it rip. Lots of love from Latvia!

Second year in and pretty sure Im working a computer science degree... The amount of money I spent so far on FPV has exceed my first drum set lol!!! I've yet to meet some one in my area who's flys that's been the biggest bummer so far!!! I live in the country most people out here believe it's a moving clay pigeon... Been some serious learning hurdles but I persevere to endeavor!!!

Excellent again my good man. I’m a new fan. I find your advice inspiring and invaluable. New Orleans is a technological backwater but a cultural powerhouse. The drone community here is so well hidden I haven’t even found it yet. My DJI mini3 pro doesn’t even support the software I need it to for me to train in the areas I want but it is a pretty fierce little craft and it supports enough to get started. Thanks!

Hi this is Oliver aka FPV IT ALL. This is why I give 1:1 help to new Fpv pilots even before they get their first setup. There are so many things every upcoming pilot should ask himself before getting started. Noone has ever talked about what I ask them. These are crucial facts. Hit me up if you need help.

@fpvitall I have a question. So I've built my first budget fpv drone, and everything seems to work, but my Radiomaster tx16s won't run the elrs Lua script with or without my elrs external module. This is the only thing that is stopping me from getting it in the air. I've got about 100 hours in the sim (albeit a bad one *cough* *cough* DRL Sim). Thank you for your time

Quick question, would you say the avata is a good drone to learn fpv?
I use liftoff to learn to fly, but somehow I can’t do the same with a real drone, the control isn’t the same, feels so strange in real life

Just did the backflip crash, overshot and rammed backward. Slightly squished battery and broken GPS. The battery will now be for bench testing.

Don't let the cost of FPV scare you guys. I live on SSI and bought everything 1 item at a time. I never did sims cause a $3000 computer isn't in the budget so start off small like a 3.5" never go big cause the bigger the drone the more the parts and batteries batteries cost. Plus crashing the small ones don't break as much as easier to fly in places that the Karen's don't complain a lot about. Hey a sim on your phone and plug your remote in and practice they're in case the gaming computer doesn't fit your budget. Then start collecting all the top priced tools like soldering and hot air station and dummy go cheap cause eventually you'll go to the expensive one when the cheap one breaks and research the products before buying anything. After 4 years you'll see what you have to show for and be proud of yourself in the long run. Never give up and remember betaflight is tricky one day or went for right then the next it'll be in the air and always make a CLI dump all with the correct set-up in case you get carried away on the newer version and realize it's broken again. Of it's not broke and flies great don't upgrade just leave it. New versions of betaflight won't make any difference in flying your drone.

Is there any sense in training on simulator with Xbox controller until I decide I wanna invest more in the hobby? Or dedicated controller is some kind of must have in learning how to fly?

Pls can you help. I have a Chinese fpv monitor/ receiver from amazon and a sg901 drone but i can not seem to get the fpv on the receiver. I don't know if it is the drone that can not pick up the channels or if it is the receiver that's at fault. It does have 40 channels and diversity.

3:04 if it’s intimidating to someone, that’s more of a social issue, which will make this business hard from that alone. Pilot reason.. in your area/or business is to not give aways any secrets/techniques/businesses opps

So I have had a few cheaper drones both fpv and los. I also had a phantom and mavic. Now I have a cetus x and am having trouble getting the hang of flying it. Not to mention using the goggles.
So I've downloaded fpv skydive and drl and still suck. How do I not suck. PS: been flying RC planes for a long time.
