      I have an AWD Stinger and this is just slightly slower--and it has been reliable and the AWD is world class. The HWY speed is laughable--I can hit triple digit speeds with little effort if need be.I also just drove locally thru the remains of tropical storm claudette--1 to 2 inches standing water on the road and I went the speed limit with ease. These engines develop torque very low also and get you off the line very quick with very little need to floor it.I was going to get another Stinger in a few years--but I ebike now and need something like this and will probably get this as long as I have zero issues with my Stinger-i am also in a Stinger club and noone has had any major problems in the ATL club and we post good or bad on our cars.

      @@espedale LOL--I am in a Stinger club and on the forums.I am an ex american muscle car guy and half the club are ex porsche and BMW --AMG owners--people who get Stingers know value and world class performance when they see it.Plus I drive Audis on business trips--mainly the A6 and the AWD on the Stinger is just as good--which is a testament since even an A6 is twice the cost of a stinger.

    • @espedale
      @espedale 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@khronin That is awesome! I attended high performance track events at Willow Springs, Buttonwillow, Sears, Laguna Seca, etc. for years, driving BMW and Porsche. I am really impressed how far Hyundai/Kia have progressed. How do the Stingers hold up on the track? I remember the first guys back in the pit were the Ferrari club. Beautiful machines, but they just can't take a full day of punishing track conditions. BMW and Porsche held up very well and really cater to the driving enthusiast. I just couldn't bring myself to pay for the premium of a track car that I had to drive in San Diego stop and go traffic 99% of the time. Sounds like you are really enjoying the Stinger performance. Cheers!

  • @randahlbeach
    @randahlbeach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I live in Vancouver, Canada and just had the GV70 w/ 3.5TT overnight and totally fell in luv with it.
    Its a Luxury CrossOver that has plenty of power. It won't outperform the more sportier Benz GLC 63S AMG power & torque nor the X3 M 40i, or the Macan Turbo but the LUXURY (quieter & smoother ride) and the VALUE Proposition will have you thinking a few times over if the German options are really worth it for the extra cost. GV70 has the edge in my books b/c of the Ext & Int styling PLUS high level of materials used in the Int as top notch. I like to invest my money whenever possible and change out my daily every 5-10 yrs.
    This GV 70 has many Luxury features, new updated interior, that ext styling and enuf power (less than 5 seconds 0-60) to have tons of fun with. Its exceptionally quiet in the cabin and in Comfort mode it really is a smooth ride.
    If ur comparing the GV70 to the Germans you will be blown away with all the luxury standard features (Drivers side massaging seats, front heated & cooled seats, that massive center screen, the move forward & back option on the key fob, massive sunroof & moon roof, AWESOME sound system, all the safety features, etc...) It really does offer an AWESOME VALUE vs the Germans. PLUS the scheduled maintenance for 5 yrs is INCLUDED!!!
    the price in Canada for a full load with the interior CF trim, 360 camera, quilted leather, etc is $75,500 including F&PDI. Just pay taxes and doc fee.
    I'm VERY Very impressed:-)
    Now, do I choose the non latest interior and refreshed exterior G70 sedan which is a little quicker but the rear leg & head room is tighter or opt for the roomier, up to date & latest interior GV70 that soaks up speed bumps & road imperfections that is also much more quieter, but about $10K more cost?
    Fantastic VALUE options either way.
    Cheers from Vancouver.

    Hey bro., I wanted to take advantage of the chance to write a positive review for what and how you do your vehicle reviews! I look forward to your vehicle reviews, I took notice of your thoroughness after the Porsche Cayenne GTS. Simply a beautifully wicked SUV! I was convinced Porsche was asking way too much!! Then I felt I was going to be armed chair tied to the Lexus, RX350. I have a 2017, GS350. Cool, however, from a ride quality and performance aspects leaves me yearning for more of both. Then I come across you & your evaluation of the 2022, Gensis GV70, on "TH-cam.," Bro., I needed that information! Thank you! I had completely forgotten it made Motor Trends, SUV of the year! After an extended test drive, I ordered my 3.5TT, loaded! With red exterior, and the blue Nappa leather interior. My local Gensis dealer told me delivery has been taking about four to six weeks. So please, absolutely keep up the outstanding work and thanks again!!

    bro, come on mate, cant keep saying gv80 is POOR MAN's bentayga .. like again and again.. we get it what you mean.. but it doesn't have to be the truth and I know is not... have seen rich folks who can easily buy bentayga n what not, be buying these luxury segment under and a bit over 100k range cz it makes much more sense in all perspective.. unless you are a public figure and your business meets depends and requires you to be flashy, or you come from the buttload of easy money and need to keep emptying your bank accounts for safety and keep IRS away... I find it flabbergasting how a vehicle such as the Lexus NX will sell 1000s more than a product such as the gv70(I realize it's the first model year) when comparing the 2 on a 1vs1 scenario.. The Nx will still bludgen gv70 with sales numbers. Besides brand prestige, the NX whole heartedly does not have a single advantage... Sad for Genesis that consumerism has no passion, nor intuition to look beyond a meaningless badge to allow for a chance to have a great product succeed.. This will Genesis' greatest challenge.

      For me I’d go with the GV70 because of the performance but also the interior layout is more user friendly. To have physical buttons and a traditional dashboard layout is a step up over Volvo’s buttonless head unit. Ultimately the GV70 fits my driving style and what I’m looking for in a vehicle, however I think the Volvo XC60 is a solid crossover that’s both spacious and comfortable, and suitable for a family.

      Why do you care? What point are you try to prove? Most of the luxury brands have the non-premium brands. Lexus-Toyota, Infiniti-Nissan, Acura-Honda, etc.

    Has there been any word if the US GV70s will get the Korean model feature of Augmented Reality GPS at some point? I read for 2021 GV80s they won't get that feature but that the GV70s might get it later through a software update but I've read mixed answers about it.

    Def competes with the glc43 amg. I hope not all of the models come with front suede in the middle of the seats, I want all leather.
