I feel for you man. This lifting piece brings back memories on assembling my rig. I like your videos for this reality. You don’t get this on the other channels. There it’s mostly magic perfection. Also on details you are passing on very detailed and relevant information. I learn things here. Keep it up. Greetings and thanks from Switzerland.
I'm having a heart attack just watching the rig being moved. Re the seat tilt / recline: I made my own extended brackets for the front, to extend the available holes. A mate had done it and when I saw it I knew I definitely wanted to do the same. It's basically just a piece of metal (5mm thickness should be fine) with a hole on each end that you bolt to the seat bracket and then to the seat on the other end. The length of the metal piece will be determined by how much extra recline you want. It's a super easy way to get more recline out of the current brackets. I had some old angle brackets lying around and just cut them down flat and used those. Super strong.
We are with you Aero. No matter how hard i try, i always discover a better way when im all finished with doing cables :D Really impressed with your work, keep it up! Do you have a link for that transducer company?
Man I'm so glad I watched this before building mine in the coming weeks. Looks like I better get the optimal position in my mancave and construct that monster right where I plan to use it LOL🤣 Thanks
I've tried cable-management (6 actuators, 7 shakers and all kinds of stuff), but I've decided to keep an ugly side instead. It's really too hard to administrate once something isn't working. Even cable-tunnels are a pain once you need just one stripped out of it. I've 3D-printed all kinds of holder for my rig and just printing one for my "new" audio-interface. I also printed cable-tunnels, cable-holders, covers and even my keyboard-tray, mouse-holder etc. If it doesn't fit on my printbed, I'm splitting the parts. This button-box is way too huge and and my 5-point harness is great btw. Never squeezed me where you think it does, but depends on the seat I guess. I still woud recommend to put the displays on the ground and sync the motion with a head-tracker mounted to the rig itself like Boosted Media. The motion must be better if it doesn't need to lift this extra-weight. For tactile feedback I would recommend to fix shakers directly to seat and pedals because this way they can be a lot less powerful and still delivering similar feedback. Once they are further away, they need to be far more powerful and that's how I did it😄 Since you get all directional feedback from motion, it's almost useless to go quadrophonic or more channels with the shakers, which is nice without motion. With motion you just need front-end and seat feeback and mono for each is fine for that. Maybe stereo for the seat.
I use to have a transducer mounted directly under the seat and I thought it was plenty enough but my friends swears by the way they do tactile. They even supposedly have real life telemetry data to get curb strikes 1-1 with real life.
@@AeroVeloce As I said: With a motion rig like yours tactile feedback is some icing on the cake, but you don't get any nuances. Several times I haven't even noticed that my big Buttkicker was off for weeks accidentally. It's better with, but doesn't do a lot once your main feedback is motion.
I just picked up the same monitors as you! Roughly, how wide is it? I think I saw a reddit thread about all the measurements but I can't seem to find it again.. Anyways, thanks for the initial video about those monitors, I only have two now but my third comes in on Wednesday and I'm stoked!
At the widest for the monitors it’s about 7 feet with the angles I run. But you might need about 8 feet of width for the stands depending on how you mount.
Congrats on the build… After moving the rig into its new position and having to deal with the weight of the P1-X have you had any thoughts on trying to come up with a lighter frame that still delivers the structural strength that you require for your current setup? At some point I would like to add a 2DOF system to my rig and wondered if a reduced weight results in a better response in terms of movement of the rig while in use?
I have a question related to your sun racing seat, how do you keep cool as when driving as you know you can get warm. A wind simulator is not what I’m looking for I was wondering how you do it? That’s if you do? I use console PS5 as don’t have a gaming PC, I use a prime lite sim rig from GT Omega with RS6 seat, do you have any tips on staying cool whilst driving?
Watching you guys lift the rig was hard to watch 🫣
Just be happy you only had to watch haha
my back hurts from watching this

PT Scorpion actuators! Great choice man, I have the Mega Monsters, and they have been a blast for the past 3 years. Zero issues. Enjoy them!
Nice one Dave. That overtake was superB!
Beautiful set up love it congratulations on the motion. Keep up the great Content the community needs you.
Shoutout to moms for the help

Thanks
I'm currently doing a tear down and intending to manage all my wires. We will see lol...ill be lucky to clean up half of it
Can't imagine doing all this. It was already a pain in the a$$ without motion. 😂 you sir have lots of patience 🙏
This is an epic build and I love it. Keep it coming.

@@Leynad778 good point, I still have plenty of tuning and tweaking to do. I’ll start small and progress as I go.
You could have picked up a 4 pack of moving dollies to move that whole rig in one shot on wheels
"They didn't ask for anything", No, they are happy to ride you tailcoats with free exposure.
❤❤❤❤❤, but getting into this stuff I hear n feel the sacrifice n pain in dealing w these types of hobbies$$$😂 keep ‘em coming love it🤘👍✌️
Where did you get the ziptie squares for cable management?

I have thought about it but unsure if I’ll commit to it quite yet.

I just sweat it out for more immersion lol.
You could look into the cool seats by orouge
@@AeroVeloce I had a funny feeling you were going to say that on a previous video I could see after your testing you were very warm lol
If you have a link to the groovy vibrations stuff can you post it I've been looking for an hour lol cant find anything on them

I don't think that's the correct way to proceed...🤔🤗
Painful watching you move the rig!!!!
We can always count on mom 🤍🤍
