    I worked long and hard to get this out quick to you guys. Transformation music is by Against the Grain (yours truly). It's called "We Must Endure"

    each figure individually though is perfect in design and the colors are just beautiful! love the chrome weapons!

    Man, congrads you did a great review on this figure. This thing is so complicated and i like the part where it all combines with that special smoke effect . That was awesome. Good job.

    I've watched this review over and over again because it's that great. Charles, this review is a total masterpiece. This is as comprehensive a product review that one can possibly give.

    Glad you enjoyed the review. I had the pleasure of seeing a Magnatron recently. If Im not mistaken, they were packaged here in Jersey. Its a nice piece. Tracking down Daioja shouldnt be too difficult, however, because of its clearance pricing recently he's sold out in most places

    I like the effects when you combined Daioja. It reminds me of the vintage Popy Chogokin commercials.

  • @GaetanoMatruglio
    @GaetanoMatruglio 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Whoa! Daioja! Maybe i'm not aware of the latest news but I was sure it was getting delyaed for some reason. Anyway it's great to see you review such old school looking pieces! It looks stunning! Yes, the coloring just make it look less hi-end than Daitarn but it's simple yet beautiful design really appeal to me. Not to mention the intricate combination, seems really worth the price just for the technical solutions and the part swapping is less prominent than I expected. Keep up the GREAT work!

    Man, if it weren't for you I don't anyone on TH-cam, aside from OptimusPrimeSG, who would put up a review of this guy so quick! Thanks man! Figure looks amazing! Time to start saving my pennies......

  • @RocketPunchArmy
    @RocketPunchArmy  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks, I think if I had to choose and I mean if I HAD to, I would probably choose Godsigma because of his design and weight, but Daioja is really cool too.

  • @Jaco534
    @Jaco534 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bro, i got the Godsigma last week and decided to get Daioja. Got them both now. Gotta say I am impressed! Daioja is freakin awesome. The quality is perfect. The packaging is is great but the thing that pulls Daioja over Godsigma is the accesories! Most of them are huge. Anyway look, your reviews are top notch..can you do like a comparison video of the two? And take yo time...I watch the vids at work to pass the time!

    • @Jaco534

  • @RocketPunchArmy
    @RocketPunchArmy  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah, 3 robots combine into one. Its such a great piece

    • @user-xb1wh5mt4l
      @user-xb1wh5mt4l 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is easier to design a combiner that consists of vehicles, as you can design a component around the part it forms, while when designing a combiner of several robots, you have to make them both proper robots and combiner parts. Because of this, a combiner of robots is difficult to pull off, so it takes more work and dedication.

    Now THAT'S a transformation. They ruined everything with Daitarn III and Daimos, i was so afraid ... This is one of the best engineering i've seen in a chogokin :)

  • @RocketPunchArmy
    @RocketPunchArmy  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @GaMaSeven you are right, it was delayed. It was originally scheduled for an April release but then pushed into may. I thought it would be end of May but Im not complaining.

    Thanks man, I thought I had already responded to this, but I dont see it here. I took me quite a bit to do this, then I had to do a whole new review for CollectionDX because they werent getting one haha but it was all worth it, great figure

    Thank you for the great review. I must now track down and buy this figure. I had and still have the american version of this robot from the 80's. I think it was called Magnatron. Mom bought it for me because she couldn't afford Voltron which I wanted. But I loved Magnatron and still have him displayed. I'm missing some smaller pieces but still a very good figure. I must now get his legit big bro. Thanks for the great review.

    This is friggin awesome, now I'm thinking about canceling my preorder of Miracle Productions Vehicle Voltron to order this gorgeous piece of art. I'm curious to know how tall he is? What do you think the tallest SOC is? I'm thinking Ideon, but I don't know.

  • @RocketPunchArmy
    @RocketPunchArmy  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would prefer...well maybe not prefer, but I would love to have an original clover alongside this one. I appreciate the design of the older one but also like to have a modern version. Maybe someday I can own an original

  • @RocketPunchArmy
    @RocketPunchArmy  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @reggmeister23 it's already been released. since thursday or friday of last week. Mine was sent EMS so it got here in a couple of days.

  • @RocketPunchArmy
    @RocketPunchArmy  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    No official word yet, but no rumors of a new release is not a good sign. Maybe the engineers were busy with the Mazinger DX or maybe since they are trending towards big combining releases it takes longer to develop new bots....dunno

  • @michaelcabrera
    @michaelcabrera 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have to disagree with your opinion on the "ruined transformation" of Daimos. I don't own Daitarn III, but Daimos' transformation is pretty solid engineering to me. As a die-hard Daimos fan, that piece is pretty solid IMHO.

    I believe you when you say it is a very good model. the size is huge and the combination is amazing. though the design of the surfaces of the robots is quite flat, I think you can agree... do you think one can do some panel lining to improve it buy himself?
    Thanks for your fantastic reviews! ;)

    If I were you I would chose Daioja, it's well engineered with good diecast content distribution, looks dynamic and poses pretty well. God Sigma is also pretty good but it's rather difficult to put him in any positions beyond spreading his legs a little and bending his knees a bit, not much but it's better than Zambot's legs.

    Are his legs loose and wobbly left and right when you hold him above the waist? I know it's a small thing, but that was one of my main sour points on the last SoC I bought.

    Technically Zambot 3 Daitarn 3 and Daioja are a Super Robot trilogy Except that Daioja came in late at 1981 whilst the other two where two of Hajime Yatate's first 3 Super Robot series before he made Gundam. I honestly want to pick one of these up, but Tamashii Nations keeps bombing me with awesome SHF and SRC releases xD

  • @nightslash3535

    Ace REDder
    Aoider (Ao=Japanese for blue)
    Cobalter (Cobalt=a shade of blue)
    Their names make perfect sense but the lack of color variation from the waist down is off-putting for some.

    That sword hilt looks exactly like Voltes V's sword. Probably just a coincidence or common design shape. Not any connection intended.

    It's NOT simple! :) You must open it all, the chest, the shoulders, and it's more complicated than the anime version (that's fairy simple). I own the bandai rubber version and it transforms in a simplest way than the soc, this version has a transformation very very close to the anime.

  • @TheShinyFeraligatr
    @TheShinyFeraligatr 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Right idea, wrong finish. Zambot and Daitarn are a part of a trilogy, but Daiohja is NOT - Trider G7 is the last of them.
    (and it shares a lot in common mechanically with Daitarn before you try to dispute that)

      Chris Bryan Chris, Ill be honest, without taking them apart I couldn't tell you :( I havent transformed it since the video so I dont remember. I dont remember having trouble though. Thanks for watching and good luck

    • @andrewtaylor940
      @andrewtaylor940 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Chris Bryan I stumbled upon the secret today when I took mine apart for the first time. Remember that little tab that you have to release at the start to tilt the head? Its on one side of the square that the head sits on. Well when you spin the head into the compartment it tabs into a slot that goes all the way through the body. Just take a toothpick or something similar and push that tab in and the head will spin enough that you can get it out.

    ダイオージャの合体前の3体の大きさってガンダムと大きさは変わらないんだよな。
    エースレッダーはエースサーベル以外にもビームライフルや ゴッドガンダムのようにもう少し武装が豊富ならね。コバルターはバズーカやキャノン砲を手持ち武器に持っていた方が遠距離攻撃も遅れを取らない。
