- Full GX-53 SOC Daitarn review in less than 20 minutes! My original review of this figure was way too long so I had to redo it and keep it simple. I go through everything. Box, tray, diecast, articulation, weapons, transformation etc.
When I saw Mach Patrol, I had a severe Da Garn (my first s. r. show) flashback.
Any robot with a "Pipi Rocket" is a MUST buy! lol

Man I love the SOC line but I have to say the Full Action Line blows these away as far as action poses and really not ever losing build integrity aka loose joints. I know its hard for some collectors to realize this as the Old School SOC is awesome for nostalgia and much larger .....but ummmm I would take Full Action 1/100 that do not transform any day over the clunkiness of old.

Great review. I grabbed him when BBTS had a sale a few weeks back. Much much bigger than I was expecting. Enough metal to tie a boat to. Articulation is meh! Better than some classic SOC's like Combatra. But there isn't a lot you can do with the legs, and I have yet to find the mysterious and rumored bissep swivels.
His accessories are glories if strange and unfocused. Tons of cool stuff that seemingly has no connection to other stuff. Dai tarn 3 is the Fred Sanford of Giant Robots? Fans, weird swords, bondage gear, a pointy stick.
It's all great stuff. Now I want to find out more about what it actually all is. Does anyone have a link to a (legit) English fan sub of this one? I'm really curious about this show now. Preferably the original Japanese. The Italian Subs just seem weirder.
andrew taylor I dont remember where I downloaded english subs but it wasnt the entire series. My daughter loves watching Daitarn. I was watching it and she would start dancing. She also thinks the girls in the show are princessess lol

the scaling is actually correct...daitarn 3 is a huge tall robot dwarfed only by gunbuster or EVA as seen here i.imgur.com/CbfZmWJ.png :)
Future Eye wait what? EVA is bigger? Howww? If you scale the pod with the little with mach, its way off.. a toy I know lol. I did see an image where you could only see daitarns legs in the picture compared to everyone else.

I'm just messin' with you! XD the image maybe was just a joke or something (by the uploader) but the other robot scaling are near enough to be the truth...gunbuster out beats daitarn 3 in size and only SDF-1 macross may top gunbuster...the toys of those two will definitely tell you the truth :D

つかさ、サンライズメカをバンダイに出させたくないのがあって。特に勇者ロボ。あれはバンダイでなくて原著作権社のタカラトミーが出すべきだ。ドライブヘッド見てつくづくそう思った。
