27:24 you nailed it about Soul of Chogokin line being divided by different design takes, cartoon one day, toy homage an other day... SOC GX-54 DALTANIOUS was perfectly in between worlds imo, with the GX-54R to revive more the POPY era (with a packaging strongly aiming the eighties shelves).

I just got mine today. I grew up with playing with the original in the 80's. To me, I think this SOC is well executed. The fact that the robots are hollow when not combined is not a problem to me. In the cartoon and the original toy, the non-combined forms are shells. As for the diecast, it makes sense to use color-infused plastic for the first two robots to avoid scratch marks.

The up and down movement of the heads for each robot are not "wierd" thing. IMO they are to show inner robots or the boy if wanted when all are some of them are assembled like russian dolls. That's a feature that worked very well for the robot of the 80s.

I'm glad you went ahead and purchased this SOC Gordian set but Wow, you actually traded your Godaikin Gardian for a DX Xabungle Irongear? Even though you did, I'm never trading mine for anything of the sort. I know mine has the same broken issues as the one you had and mine is just as complete,. Though I'm still holding on to it in my collection.

Oh man... have to check on my GX-71 for oxidation too... how do you clean those chrome parts?
Anyway, cool review! I'm glad i skipped on this one coz i don't like the vintage look of it. Waiting for GX-96 Getter Go on September, hope that one does not disappoint!
