Miranda had a great arc in the original series. This show killed her character completely. She is going through a pathetic mid life crisis, it’s sad and not her at all. I keep hoping that her story will conclude with her choices blowing up in her face where she realizes she completely destroyed a good life that she can’t get back now.
Hate this new Miranda. What was that cheerleader bit about? Didn’t we learn from SATC that she didn’t like cheerleaders. Then, asking for consent to give a hug right after getting the boot from Che’s apartment. The real Miranda would’ve rolled her eyes and told Che some home truths about trying to break into acting at nearly 50, and told her to grow up before storming out. And never see her again. SATC Miranda is long gone 😵

When the moderator asked “does anyone else have a problem with the Che Diaz character”? Yes, I physically raised my hand in the privacy of my home.
Every time I see Miranda & Che, I just say “wow…this is the person she destroyed her family over” lol. If Steve ever talk to her the way Che does, he’d be DONE😂😂. And this would have been the perfect episode to have handsome CSI guy come back around & hook up with Nia. Such a missed opportunity.
Miranda was never nice to Steve. I never even understood why he liked her, let alone loved her. She's always been so abrasive. Now she's abrasive and needy. She needs to get back to work and become that career bitch, again.

The writers took all of Miranda's power away. Why isn't being rich, married to someone that adores you, and having a kid not enough? Why is it being glorified to divorce your spouse and run around with someone who's not that into you? I don't think being married makes you less powerful. Staying married to the same person may seem "traditional" but the opposite lifestyle doesn't magically make you more powerful and happy. It kind of sucks to date someone that's not that into you and to go home and be alone, aging until you die. They want to glorify that lifestyle like it's something that will make everyone happy. It wont.

Miranda is in a classic narcissist/savior relationship and it kills me to watch it.
Che is so manipulative and emotionally abusive. It’s depressing to watch Miranda fumble around trying to please “them.” It would be such an obviously abusive relationship if Che was a man doing the exact same things, but since Che is a they/them female, we’re supposed to like “them” no matter what “they” do. Che is such a loser, too-playing video games and smoking pot with friends until 4 am, failing at working on that idiotic show and taking audience feedback, offering nothing to Miranda in their “relationship.” Truly the worst character in any series I’ve seen.
Che is manipulative. And it is sad that because she is not a “guy” and “they” Che is ok. It’s damaging to what they are trying to do. Btw. Steve never treated Miranda this badly.

20min episodes are great for funny and sleazy vignettes involving silly, stupid men.
40min episodes force us to spend too much time investing in these throw away characters. Penis pump guy and bicycle guy were promising and then disappointing after a lot of talk. It took Carrie 10 minutes to leave that apartment. Blah, blah, blah...
I thought that also, like pick yourself up when the buddy kept calling and make a B line for the door, she was lolly gaggying and putzing before she finally left the apartment.

The focus group was kinda like them doubling down and telling us to f off and make the viewers the bad guys. Refusing to accept that che is just a poorly written character and our critique is nothing to do with them being non binary.

Miranda's sole reason for existing seems to be just in case someone needs her to overreact over their foibles and. I hate her. They should have let Big live in season one, and then killed Miranda in season 2. It'd give us a chance to see Carrie and Charlotte dealing with the loss of a friend, provided an opportunity for Samantha to reach out via an emotional phone call, which could be a call-back to that great SATC ep when Miranda's mother died. Miranda evidently forgot that day in law school when they talked about how abandoning one's marriage and leaving the family house to shack up with some loser who, at 46, stays up late with friends playing video games that look like 1982, gives one's ex an excellent argument in favor of HIM getting the house in the settlement. And no one told Che that 99% of all pilots never make it on the air? No, instead she got an expensive apartment, because a sitcom about a trans standup comic is SURE to be a network hit!

And - I’m noticing some ripoffs of Big Little Lies storylines. And some characters. Tell me I’m crazy.
They're copying/recycling old SATC storylines, too. The scene with Seema and the penis pump guy is a rehash of James and his micro penis were Samantha tries to use a vibrator to finish herself off.
