Got the same vibe from Aiden seeing the apartment being like "Youre moving here for you, right?" as when Big said to Carrie "youre moving to Paris for yourself, right? Not for me?" in season 2 of SATC. I am not fully sure if that was intentional, but if it was...then that could be foreshadowing the downfall of Carrie and Aiden. Perhaps I am reading too much into it, as the writers from this show aren't often that subtle, but we will see. I immediately picked up on that vibe at the end of the episode.

I'm an artist and maybe that's why I noticed it but she is literally wearing a painted on worn-out looking old man artists painter's jacket smock thing!!! WHAT THE HELL??? It's so ugly. I cant stand how she wears "cultures" and now professions ironically, it's so transparently lame. And the weird thing is if that Lizette character did it, it might be cool, but Carrie just cant pull it off

But, yes I thought that was an interesting wardrobe choice & how they embellished it with the oversized fabric floral corsage. Particularly many of Carrie’s looks but I think I have an idea what they’re going for as far as an aesthetic or signature style. But it’s not working.
Im calling it, Aidan breaks up with Carrie via a post it and never speaks to her again after she buys the home. He buys Carrie old apt and then we find out it was all to get back at Carrie and then we find out Aidan and his wife & kids read Carries book, thats why the ex wife asked her to leave the kidsbout of her writing. And its all been a set up because Aidan read her book, like Berger, she lied to him.... And this season had no actual drama a conversation couldn't resolve quickly and it's a drama not a comedy, like Divorce

Anthony hired Giuseppe. He would know his immigration status. Suspension of disbelief and all that, but gah. Everyone looks so done and tired, Carrie especially. Aidan is the son of Spock who wanted a normal earthly life.
A couple things. 1) I thought Aiden's comments to Carrie about her buying the house because *she* wanted to move there, and not for him, was strongly reminiscent of Big telling Carrie that she should only move to Paris if SHE wants to move there, not because HE'S there (episode: La Douleur Exquise!)....right before she threw a big mac at his head.. I thought that was a total red flag the writers were giving us. 2) The kids in this show are just...ugh. So, the writers were unable to write a child character that wasn't sullen, perpetually bored and rude? Seriously? 3) No one who could afford it, would give up that apartment. The writers are doing it....again, to destroy the old series. Those who can't do, destroy what came before them.
The fashion is definitely improving, the writers must be watching your channel 😅, the storyline is also improving slightly and just the three girls are meeting up in cafes like they use to, which is good,i don’t know what the point is with Nya? Maybe in the beginning of the series they needed her and Lisa to bring some interest, but I feel the scenes with the originals are so much better, I don’t think they need the others anymore and they will be phased out, Samantha was such a strong character and the main star of the show really, that they have had to bring in four characters to make up for her loss, bring Sam back, and they won’t need all these extras, great review guys ! 👍
You guys are so on point about the complete lack of buildup with Seema’s hookup and the green card thing coming from nowhere. There is a woeful lack of storytelling more generally.
I can relate to Charlotte. I was a stay at home mom forever, and then when I went back to work, everything at home fell apart because my husband and kid cannot function without me. It sucks being a stay at home mom and it sucks going to work and having nobody help you at home.
Yea because in the first season they started hinting at the fact that she forgot things (the coffe machine running for ever) or even started to hear sounds and noises in her new house, and starting talking alone. Not sure why all those hints went nowhere

So I started watching this some months ago, got distracted, and have forgotten everything. So naturally, I'm starting with your most recent content and working my way backwards.
For Carrie to ask if Big was a big mistake, is as bad as the reason they gave for Carrie and Samantha two have a falling out. It's a betrayal of everything that has gone before, and it's insulting to the fans. It's okay to have Aiden come back as a love interest, but to imply that she married the wrong guy is just disgusting. If the show creators and writers can't be more creative than that than they should stop and find another vocation.

I think all these years have gone by and it was a cult classic, but became so popular, that now its too big to be edgy. Theyre trying to please everyone and not offend. Not to mention that the current climate for comedy is cold af.
I thought it was weird that Aidan told her not to buy the place just to make him happy because they are living in the "here and now", but he can't walk into her apartment because of what happened in the past. He didn't even have an alternative idea. So...what? Are they just supposed to keep wasting money at hotels, which was the whole reason for even staying at Che's place - so they didn't have to keep spending money at hotels. So, she didn't really have a choice but to get a new place.
To be honest since season 1 I though they were going to eventually spin off to have a new series based on Lisette being young and 30 and the new Carrie. Now I think this is happening, they going to end the show with Carrie getting with Aidan, Samantha making the cameo and then from now on it’s Lisette living in the apartment and all her stories in the next series
You both make some good points. - e.g. the Seema story should have been built up more before the sh.g! You also made me LOL a few times so that is always good. However, please don't be too hard on this show - I want it to survive for a few more seasons -. Love ya! x
Yeah. We're all watching this stuff as grown as adults struggling with rent 😂. I know they were always wealthy (on the show) but at least make the storylines interesting! Remember when Carrie rented the apartment and she sat there in an ugly hat while there was some beeping? Or when Sema showed her a property (for rent) and Carrie didn't even look at the photos before she said 'I'll take it'. They are obsessed with apartment storylines even though it's boring and there are no stakes because Carrie is rich.

Maybe in the beginning of the series they needed her and Lisa to bring some interest, but I feel the scenes with the originals are so much better, I don’t think they need the others anymore and they will be phased out, Samantha was such a strong character and the main star of the show really, that they have had to bring in four characters to make up for her loss, bring Sam back, and they won’t need all these extras, great review guys ! 👍

Hello All! I hope you’re having a great day. Do you think they should get rid of these extra characters? Thoughts? And who’s your favorite of them all (if any)? Their storylines just seems so short. Like there’s no substance to their characters.
I started skipping past all the scenes with just the extras. It’s way quicker and I’m not missing any context.
I haven’t been particularly impressed or attached to any of them really. If there’s a season 3 and none of them return I don’t think it could possibly make things any worse than it already is at this point.

For Carrie to ask if Big was a big mistake, is as bad as the reason they gave for Carrie and Samantha two have a falling out. It's a betrayal of everything that has gone before, and it's insulting to the fans. It's okay to have Aiden come back as a love interest, but to imply that she married the wrong guy is just disgusting. If the show creators and writers can't be more creative than that than they should stop and find another vocation.

I thought it was weird that Aidan told her not to buy the place just to make him happy because they are living in the "here and now", but he can't walk into her apartment because of what happened in the past. He didn't even have an alternative idea. So...what? Are they just supposed to keep wasting money at hotels, which was the whole reason for even staying at Che's place - so they didn't have to keep spending money at hotels. So, she didn't really have a choice but to get a new place.

To be honest since season 1 I though they were going to eventually spin off to have a new series based on Lisette being young and 30 and the new Carrie. Now I think this is happening, they going to end the show with Carrie getting with Aidan, Samantha making the cameo and then from now on it’s Lisette living in the apartment and all her stories in the next series
