This has to be the worst show on television. There is nothing sexy or funny about it. Wokeness is not edgy or cool.

This show is a big flaming piece of dog shit. It's not even comparable to the original show. The characters have all become contemptible, the woke themes are obsequious, and the storylines are awful and boring. It's not funny, it's not sexy, and the kids are the WORST! How has it not been canceled?

They would look a lot more youthful if they wore jeans and a cute top. The fluffy dresses make them look like eccentric bag ladies who have have birds as best friends.

At 50:53, all I see is disdain on SJP face. I don't see Carrie here at all. What comes to mind is a younger wife waiting for her older husband to finally pass away so she can inherit what is left of his wealth. I never felt Carrie loved any of her suitors over the years. She loved her shoes, fashion and the fantasy of nailing a 'rich man'. Nothing more. Nothing less. And every time I see this clip, that is all I see. The SATC series had us all fooled. Carrie was vacuous then and vacuous now.

Disappointed that it took 6 business days for Carrie to attend to her husband, who was suffering a massive heart attack. Really tragic. Being woke drained this reboot. Throwing everything and everybody, plus the kitchen sink, does not make an intriguing series. (Shoulder shrug)

i don’t think they have any young writing for this show tbh. it feels like it’s written by boomers who are trying to write for gen z and millennials while failing miserably. the ridiculous things the characters say/do, cringey stuff like the “woke moment” button- the whole thing is a fucking mess. i’m in my 30s but my bf is early 50s and i have friends who are similar ages. they look and act younger than the characters on SATC. hell, my mom is in her early 60s and seems younger. although my mom does follow a couple outdated, ageist fashion rules for “mature” women that carrie (along with other self respecting ✨fashion people✨) would never follow.

SJP was a movie star all through the 80s and 90s prior to being on SATC though. Same with Kim. I think being on the show negatively impacted their later career options because they would forever be typecast after SATC. The “woke moment” made me want to crawl out of my own skin from secondhand embarrassment. Who is writing this show and who tf are they writing it for?? Because it feels like boomers attempting to write it a way that they think is relatable to millennials and gen z yet failing miserably. 😂 The only people I know of who regularly use the word “woke” are conservative right wingers while getting riled up over a lie that Fox News told them.

The original SATC was ridiculously prudish for being a show about sex/a sex columnist. Samantha was basically the only one who didn’t seek out traditional relationships and had casual sex. I didn’t even watch AJLT because I knew it would ultimately disappoint me but I will listen to a whole ass podcast about it! 😂

That you wouldn't even wear your engagement ring on your effing finger, and pawned off your reluctance with some, "It's closer to my heart this way," crap, when it was obvious to everyone that the truth was you just *didn't want* to wear it? Have you forgotten that you literally broke out in a rash and had a panic attack when you tried on a single wedding dress--and that the only reason you were even trying on wedding dresses in the first place was to TRY, to make some feeble *attempt,* to be excited about marrying Aiden and to view it as a fun, positive thing instead of a death sentence? That you refused to set a date for the wedding? That--again--when Aiden suggested you two just go off and get "Maui-ed," which yes, bad pun but whatever, right then and there, you once again panicked and freaked out and that's why relationship ended? Have you forgotten that you hated living with Aiden and he drove you nuts? That he--just like Big, later--annoyed and bored you because he wanted to stay home and eat chicken instead of being excited about going to some stupid hip new nightclub? Funny, I remember a really boring scene in the first movie (the first of several in that movie, because MPK apparently thought that's what we fans wanted, was to watch you try on clothes endlessly) where you tried on a whole bunch of wedding dresses without a single itch or panicky breath--because you actually WANTED to marry Big. Because he was the one. WTF is this bullshit? And that's totally aside from cheating with Big the first time; Big wasn't even really involved at all when you were engaged to Aiden, aside from being your friend. The only way your absolute resistance to marrying Aiden had anything to do with Big was that deep down your heart knew what it wanted, and what it wanted was not Aiden. I know that "your heart knew" sounds cheesy but that doesn't make it any less true. (Sorry, I know this is really late; I've only just found you a few days ago. Having a blast listening to all of these!)

I've subscribed after cackling at the AJLT reviews. I live. Also, stupid dated ref, but I like accuracy: the Sasha/Shea lipsync that kind of ruined drag race finale shows wasn't for the crown at that point. Sasha v Peppermint was the crown-winning lipsync. It was hard to not crown Sasha after the epic rose pedal reveal. Thanks for the laughs!
