The Miranda story is rife with hypocrisy after Miranda chastized Carrie for running off to Paris with Alexsander. "What are you going to do? Eat Crossiant?" I really wished in the first season Carrie said "What are you going to do? Eat California rolls?"

The characters devolved and it’s disappointing. One of the most disappointing things to me is what an ineffective parent Charlotte is after so desperately wanting children.

The real reason is because the writers are trying to throw woke down your throat so they're trying to say that you cannot as an actor play something you're not obviously they're doing that with Miranda Cynthia Nixon hence why she's a lesbian but people some people get offended if you're not transgender and you're in a movie they should have hired somebody transgender. They don't understand that the point is this when you're acting you're supposed to be playing someone other than yourself so you can be in my opinion just about anybody as long as you're a good actor but for the super woke they don't like that so that's what that was about I believe. Always pushing an agenda. I'm already for equality a hundred percent but making the entertainment only about that. Y a w n

Herbert is definitely hot and he seems like a good husband/father. I agree that they’re making him seem dumb. We’re supposed to believe that a successful, Morehouse/Harvard educated 50 year old man needs his mother and his wife to teach him about racism now? They make all of the men seem dumb. Harry is Charlotte’s third child. Steve is practically senile. Andre doesn’t know what not to say to his wife after 18 years of marriage. Anthony is a stereotype. Etc.
It's like they were too scared to make the men look good, so they turned them into completely hapless imbeciles, who would walk into walls without the help of their capable and superior female partners. It's like watching a car crash. I'm embarrassed for all involved, the actors who are forced to overact to compensate for such a weak script, the writers for not seeming to understand how human relationships work, the producers who are obviously terrified of not being PC enough and all of us, in the audience, for having to witness such humiliation.
Carrie can’t go back to being a traditional writer. Newspapers are on life support and the women who bought her books no longer do because they are no longer having sex in the city. In becoming a married woman, she lost her audience. So her career is essentially over.
I mean, sure. If we were to be realistic about it ... But when has SATC ever been realistic? 🤣

They should have just ended the whole story with the last Sex and The City 2 movie. There was absolutely no need to "Carrie" it on and on and on and on....
So I am a black women and I am all for diversity and inclusion but why not actually make an interesting storyline and add actors of color that make sense in the main characters lives vs having all this diversity have separate storyline and have 0 interaction with the main characters. It just doesn’t make sense.
Samantha was the comedy relief. No one filled that spot. How many of the original writers are doing this show now? The current writers are so concerned with pushing their agenda, that the comedy and story telling fell through the cracks. The show is so vacuous. It has nothing to say. It’s frustrating and impossible to relate to at any level. No one is a real person. They’re not even tropes. They’re not human.
The original characters were tropes, but they worked, and they subverted those tropes with their arcs (except Carrie of course, by having her end up with Big).
We can’t relate to whatever this is. SATC was relatable in its friendships, problems women faced, love, the female sex, and in helping women break some societal chains (it did for me at the time at least). The show was funny, and even the unrealistic parts served a purpose, like the fashion Carrie wore and shouldn’t have been able to afford. We could live the fashion and life in the big city vicariously through her. That’s why it worked. What does this show serve or give now? Vacuous is the only word that comes to mind.

Vdubthefoxx, Oh I did not know that the writers of AJLT were gonna wait until the last Season 2 Episode to finally put Samantha back on (if only via a telephone call, as I heard). So we gotta wait THAT long for Samantha?...or to just hear her voice?
These two are the BEST!! You’ll love all of their reviews of Season One - that’s when I found them - and their vibe, humor, insight, and general hilariousness was the greatest discovery ever!! Sooooooo glad they’re doing Season 2 and are absolutely not disappointing!
Theater of the Absurd would be a compliment for this dumpster fire. Carrie so blithely unaware of the consequences of those podcast network employees losing their jobs, the carefree way she dumped the podcast producer and just sashayed on out of the office building---Ewww. The episode was just more of an unfocused mess. Too many UN-interesting characters with shallow character development... focus on the core characters + Seema, Lisa. The rest are just going nowhere---extraneous and no depth. What the hell happened with the writing? It's truly unbearable.

Miranda had to say ‘I just don’t know who you are?’ so it could be prominent in the trailer to give us hope and force us to watch the series in hopes that Miranda stops munching and begs Steve for forgiveness.

I wish they could go back to the first season and make it so that Big only left her a million dollars or something so that her podcast could have been a real story line where she did the voice overs and had to come up with material. Making it work could have been a relatable story line. The woman could have had a brunch talking all about how a million would be enough to pay off her apartment, but not enough to buy shoes, and "what am I going to do, blah, blah, blah" would have made this work so much better. Carrie doesn't have anything to do in this series now.

I need an additional podcast in which you guys rewrite each episode. How would you have fixed each episode? Improved each storyline?
Episode 2 was boring and bizarre. I was so disappointed with Seema's storyline - there's no way she would care that much about advice from her stylist. The storming out of every scene was ridiculous. I think the worst was the lost phone on the beach. No one cares. Was this script written by ChatGBT??? Ugh. I think it's telling that the scene that made the most sense was a cameo with Tony Danza. You guys are troopers for watching the whole episode. I fast forwarded through most of it.
To start, Carrie being afraid to say vagina is just silly. She has a podcast about sex and the city. Come on. The Miranda and Che sex scene description is hilarious and so on point 🤣 I felt the same way about it...I almost fast forwarded this part. Just no...I can't stand this couple. The whole taxi scene was totally unnecessary. Franklin and the ad was such a waste of a fine specimen. The whole dress buy back description was awesome. Gaslighting about not knowing anyone's number 🤣. Carrie stating that Sex and the City isn't her anymore is quite profound and telling. They should have left well enough alone.

Yeah, with the Sema trying to replicate a Samantha Samantha had feelings she was hard-core. She was self dedicated and honest and an incredible friend but we seen her crumble when Richard broke her heart she has heart these new women they’re just fillers, and all those naked scenes just seem like they wanted to be Samantha, but just couldn’t quite tap it.
Also, I miss Steve and it would be so funny if she got back with her husband, even though that won’t happen 😂

the whole time that they were doing the beach cleanup I kept thinking that the weird AA girl was making Miranda come with her to their mandatory community service and when she left she was then pawning off their work onto Miranda and then Miranda learns what's happening and gets arrested or leaves...but no that whole storyline didn't matter. lol.

I watched the original series and liked it but all of the movies and this series suck. It's self-consciously written from a gay man's perspective. Not relatable to women at all.
The real SJP is supposed to be a bit of a wet rag/prudish type. Maybe she's getting too much say in the scripts. Plus, these are the OLDEST 50 somethings I have ever seen. Insulting.

Miranda is like an old insecure out-of-touch person, and no matter what she does (like coloring her hair RED) is gonna make Miranda an interesting character---EVER AGAIN. Too bad, because I liked the Miranda character of Sex & the City, circa 1998ish-early 2000s.
