Is the Edge CTS 2 Monitor WORTH IT? I dont think so...

- Did a review of this CTS 2 monitor I just installed in my truck. Pretty cool. Has a bunch of good features and a bunch of worthless features but all in all its worth looking into. I ended up selling mine.

Thank you for posting! I was just about to buy this, but you pointed out so many things that are pointless and worthless that purchasing this would be... pointless and worth less.
late comment, but performance wise its a nice tool. you are able to load your EFI live tunes into your truck, then plug your insight back in, go to settings, find efi live and turn that on. when doing that all of your tunes will then be saved to your insight where you're able to switch between tunes rather than using a DSP5 switch. its pretty convenient to have especially with the EGT probe
7:16 You can wire in lights or other accessories into the device and turn them on and off with those switches.
IF you can get one used and not pay $600 then it is WORTH EVERY PENNY just when you buy a truck alone by being able to test the injectors. If they are bad its $3000 in parts alone plus 8-12 hours of labor. And EGT/Boost gauges are better as analog.

This item is full of gadgets that do nothing
But it’s very impressive
so a while back my batter died and I jump the truck a few times right. So on my third jump, when I started the truck my edge cts2 reset and now the BOOST PId is no where to be found. Now I have no boost gauge. Truck is a 2015 ram 2500 with 6.7. Any idea on how to solve this?
Do you find that it wobbles around much with the window mount?
Should I get a CTS2 Or CTS3?

Dylan Schmitt you sure can. Of course it only shows your corrected speed on the device itself, not on your factory speedometer.

Can it be used on a gasoline and do you have to put a probe in for transmission temp and intake temp?
Joshua Borland yes, im pretty sure you can use it on any vehicle ‘96 and newer. You do not need a temp probe as it pulls temperature data from the cpu.

Are those only good for diesels or can you use it for gas engines
you can use them on gas engines as well, I believe. Im pretty sure they will work on anything with an OBDII port.
Can you program it as in economy mode to save up gas ?

Can the unit be blacked out (no illumination) so when driving at night you don't have to have another screen glowing into your eyes?
ive not tried that but you can adjust the brightness so im sure it will dim all the way black.

Garbage. Mine lasted 3 months. Edge doesn't want to warranty. They only give run around. Shit quality product for the money.
Brad Hough ya I wasn’t super impressed with it which is odd because i have always like edge products. I have actually already sold that truck and the monitor.

Certainly does work. I can monitor everything I want to see, its not a tuner. I have it on a 2018 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins.

Its not designed to "work" unlike a tuner/programmer all it does is MONITOR your engine output parameters. now a tuner/programmer IS designed to work cause it loads a software into the vehicles computer to add power.
