Man I feel old. I had the OG CTS on my old duramax and prior to that I had DiPricol pillar gauges on my VP44 truck.

Another great episode!! I have a CTS2 and you're right, it takes FOREVER to start making it useless as a backup camera.......might be time to upgrade!
Be wary though, the cts3 requires a $100 cable to make your rca camera work

I have the original edge insight cts on my powerstroke and was going to get another one for my explorer sport. I ended up using my phone by getting a Bluetooth adapter and the torque pro app. Does everything I need it to for about $30.

Still running the BD X monitor I installed in ram 2004, then moved to my new mega cab in 06. Boost, egt and trans temp. Coupled with my quadzilla rail and fuel pressure combo gauge. I used to run the edge juice w. Attitude but that thing was clumsy.
Maybe someday I’ll go with the CTS. Would be nice if I could combine that with a good stereo head unit maybe a split screen like my bmw 328D.

My dad has a 2000 dodge ram 3500. It makes more power than stock even though it doesn't have a tuner on it. We are thinking it has had the ECM flashed to make more power. I dunno. My dad's truck is a oddball truck

I imagine you can make that work, but I’ve never tried it!
You mean a front camera only? I did it on my OBS/Cts2. Doesn't matter where the camera is, just have to wire the lead into the "Drive" instead of the "Reverse lights".
What brand is your aftermarket radio? Do you have a video on that?

Does this have the option to have toggle buttons/switches? For example if I were to be running a nitrous setup would I be able to have a switch to toggle the power and a push+hold button to toggle the purge solenoid and whatnot?
It does actually, but they’re all digital switches.
I have a cts2 with all kinds of probes and add ons like turbo timer, etc. Can I keep all of those when/if I upgrade to a cts3? Or do I need to get all new ones?
Yep! Everything just fires right up on the new display. I have the exact same thing.
Does the cts3 have audible notification alarms for something like coolant temps?

I have a edge insight cs2. I’m wanting to get the new cts3 or 2. Is it just plug and play? Can i just buy the monitor for it and use all the same cords?

I just installed this cts3. I drive a 08 ram 2500 6.7. I have noticed the bost does not work if you have efi live. The only other bad is it has froze up on me twice while driving and since there is not power button i had to pull over and unplug. Besides that it is very nice and easy to read.
Upgraded from the original little grey edge juice with attitude.
I've noticed the mpg being severely off with the efi live tunes on a 07 with the 5.9 on the edge
Must be something with the tunes. Always showing me getting like 30 to 40 mpg. Makes you feel good even though you know it's wayy off
40mpg?? Can I get your tuner’s name? 😂. Yeah the instant MPG thing on the edge isn’t very accurate. Heck neither is the overhead on the truck! I typically go off engine load. 20-30% load is the sweet spot for good MPG.
@@JustDiesels Anarchy level 2 tunes and CTS 2 and you'll be getting 40 mpg EASY! 🤣 But hey Thanks for the info I'll have to set that parameter instead of the MPG one

Which pillar pod mount are you using in your truck and where can I get one?
The mount is from Edge, and the pillar is the OEM Mopar pillar sold on the Geno’s Garage website!
A shop offered me this product and that it’s emissions compliant… I’m guessing they aren’t going to remove parts from underneath the truck? Is it worth getting it if they aren’t going to give my truck a weight reduction as well? I talked to them in person and undirectly made it clear what I wanted
This product has no relation to tuning or emissions. It’s simply a digital gauge system to show you what’s going on in the engine!
Where did you find your 4th gen mirrors? All i can find is 4th gen mirror with lights or cheap marker lights

Does the cts3 come with the 3 pre loaded tunes for the vehicle where you can actually tune? I want to use the performance tune that comes with the cts2 but would upgrade to this if it had them.
No the CTS3 is for gauges only!

I bought the Cts2 right before they came out with the 3. Pissed the Edge sales guy didn't mention that it was coming out. Also, we all know the MPG isn't accurate at all...makes me wonder if all the other features are accurate?
Other features are off the truck’s computer and built in sensors, so yes they’re accurate.
Is the CTS3 comparable with 2nd gen OBDII trucks? I couldn’t find a 2nd gen specific model on the Edge site.
Yep! Completely compatible to read everything the engine reads.
Let’s say I wanna do an Egr delete, I was really interested in the CTS2 Evolution since it already came with tunes. Would the CTS3 do a regen and allow me to do so without throwing my truck into limp mode? If not, would it allow me to use an EFI live tune and monitor everything semi-accurately?
Does it come with the probes to get egts, trans temps, and fuel pressure etc?
No you add those depending on what you want to monitor.

I have a 2017 6.7 that was previously tuned with the weight reduction already done. I just ordered the edge evolution. Will this throw my truck into limp mode because of the weight reduction?
If your truck has lost exhaust parts, you need a different tuner. That said, the Edge Insight CTS3 is a great way to have gauges!

The user interface on the Edge is so much better. Edge really stepped it up to make an awesome visual layout. Everything else on the market is pretty basic.
I seen with your CTS2 you had the pillar mount which is what I have on mine. Did the CTS3 attach to the same mount or did you have to get a different one.

Have you had any experience with the gauge setups from EZLynk? If so how do you think it compares to the edge?
I do not. I kinda put that in a separate category since EZ is more about the tuning than the gauges. My Insight is strictly a gauge system with no tuning.

Can you remove the CTS3 easily and put it in your glovebox for overnights in sketchy areas?
Yeah it just unplugs!
How did you get it to have your tunes change on the fly
It has no tuning capabilities, but it will change the power on demand setting for the smarty JR (which is just a APPS sensor adjustment within the existing tune.) It doesn't actually load a new tune.

Nope, just gauges.

This is a gauge only setup. They also make a tuner with the same display and gauge capability, but that’s not what I installed. I’m running EFI live for tuning instead.

No, there’s no tuning on the Insight. It only shows gauges.
Is that the srt-10 pillar mount?
Bought one for my 2006 cummins and the pillar mount from edge but it doesn’t fit properly

That is the SRT pillar! You just have to orient the adapter in the correct direction and everything works!

If I have the cts2, will all the wiring be plug and play with the cts3, including the backup camera?
The Backup camera is no longer an RCA plug. At the time of writing this, Edge says they have a solution coming. The other connector is unchanged from the CTS2 so it's plug and play. Since my back up camera goes to the head unit on my truck, all I had to do was plug in the Insight and set up the parameters for my external gauges on the new unit.

Backup cam is far from plug and play. Their "solution" is a $100 adapter for rca to usb mini. Its a joke. Edge should have just kept RCA.

Did you get any of the add ons? Looking at one for my 06 ram 2500
I got the cts3 for my 06 with the egt probe and it auto detected the probe. It works ok initial setup will take a hour plus to set parameters for each gauge.
Yeah I’ve got EGT, fuel pressure before the Cp3, and trans temp off the pan. I had already set all that up on my CTS2 so the 3 was just plug in and go!
My CTS2 is not only slow but now the tab up top you use to change power levels wont open. It beeps when i touch it but it never opens. Its fully updated. Anyone have any ideas?
It sounds like maybe the digitizer is going out. Sadly the best solution is just moving to the CTS3. It's night and day better!
@@JustDiesels I've been looking at the CTS3. It looks very nice and way improved. I seen a couple different versions of it but couldn't quite tell what the difference was. If you have a second could you help me know what the difference is? I've done a lot of reading on it and can't find what the difference is between the different CTS3 models.

Does this gauge tell when the truck DPF is in regen?
It depends on the truck, but on most yes. Basically if your truck’s computer reads dpf regen, this shows it to you.

Yep! I just unplugged my 2 and plugged in the 3!

It depends on the tuner! For example mine can control the power level on my smarty jr within a tune, and I think they’re compatible with a few others as well.

For what ever reason edge still can't display oil pressure.
Never understood that since the truck clearly reads it. Thankfully adding the external sensor is super easy!
On my cts2 it shows my oil pressure
If you’re talking dodge it’s because there’s no oil pressure sensor. The gauge you see on the dash is dummy gauge based on temperature. There’s only an oil pressure switch
Yet my Chinese scan tool gives oil pressure in the live data.
