Hi Joan! At 66 years old, I started working out at the gym with my son. I feel inspired by you! Your journey is so amazing for sure! Thank you so much for all your help! Much LOVE!
You are amazing. You are an inspiration to me. I will be 70 next month and have been pretty good about exercising and eating right, for many years. But about 2 years ago, I began getting into a rut and didn't see my way out of it. That was until I discovered your video. You came such a long way, I was in awe. To make a long story short, you helped me get my act together. Today, I sent your link to a friend who just turned 70 and is trying to get in shape. I hope she is inspired as much as I am by you. You are a beautiful lady, inside and out. All the best to you!!!

Here is a question. I have had a stubborn back pain in my upper paraspinal area to the right of my back bone. I’ve managed it and sometimes it even goes away, but it always seems to come back. That is what scares me about weights. I so want to be you! So last week I started with a new personal trainer who is wonderful. She’s my age, I’m 69, and she gets it. But the very first things I did, particularly one set of pulling which is weight-bearing brought my back pain back again. My question is did you have any recurring pains that somehow are you fixed? Love your authenticity!!
Hi, I just discovered your channel loved it. Can you tell me how long you've been strength training and how much weight have you lost, also have you had any constructive surgery?
I love you Ms. Joan. I wished you were closer to me so I could be part of your workout team. I'm in Southern California and have visited Hawaii three times in my life.
Question: how could I motivate my mother to exercise? She is 200 lbs and 5.2", has osteoarthritis, had bilateral knee replacement and bilateral shoulder replacement?
Thank you 🙏🙏
I just had a left knee replacement 9-29-19. Did well in PT but still have some lingering pain on the outside of my knee that keeps me from getting that 120 degrees of bend. Not giving up & have been discharged from PT with some home exercises with bands & ankle weights. Gyms aren't accessible because of Covid. Can you give me some leg ideas to do at home please. I am a 63yr old breast cancer survivor as well. Thank you so much!
Hi Carol, banded fire hydrants, glute kickbacks, romanian dumbbell deadlift may be some moves to look into. Make sure to consult your PT.
@@joanmacdonald6346 Thanks so much! Seeing my PT again in follow up in another week. I really appreciate your response & suggestions. You are a Queen of inspiration for me!!
What app do you use for macros?
Do you still record your macros every day or do you intuitively know what to eat now?
Thank you Ma’am !! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼☀️☀️🙏
What a great video,
Hi Joan, I’m new in your channel. How you get to live in Mexico? How is the rent in Tulum? It looks like paradise. I’m a retired teacher leaving in NY. Thank you for sharing your live style and wellness. You inspire me. Is always a pleasure to watch your videos.❤️😊
I love it! It is a beautiful place. Thank you for stopping by.
Thank you!
Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and abundant 2021!
Same to you!
Here is a question. I have had a stubborn back pain in my upper paraspinal area to the right of my back bone. I’ve managed it with the help of a wonderful physical therapist, who comes to my house twice a week, and has been for three years. and sometimes it even goes away, but it always seems to come back. That is what scares me about weights. I so want to be you! So last week I started with a new additional personal trainer who has her own little gym and is wonderful. She’s around my age, I’m 69, and she gets it. But the very first things I did, particularly one set of pulling which is weight-bearing brought my back pain back again the next day. My question is before you begin this journey, did you have any recurring pains that somehow amyou fixed? If I get this back pain, it’s it’s not good and it stops me from doing things and I want to be able to keep going. I’d love to hear what you have to say.

@@joanmacdonald6346 You continue to inspire us all that anything is possible. Love to follow your Instagram and TH-cam channels. Just ended up listening to an episode of podcast of Fortitude: Fitness Through the Lifespan with Michelle, Jean and Joan. Was awesome, thanks!
Hi I would love to try this lifestyle I just turned 17 this summer and feel and see the need to change things up. But when you talk about the food that you eat the mixes that you use for pancakes I don’t know what you’re talking about and I don’t know what macros are either even though I have studied nutrition for the last 25 years. Is your colestrol and triglycerides low?
I love so much, queen Joan!!
Hi Joan. Could you list your two morning meditation you .mentioned. Many thanks.
try indoor skydiving first:) thanks for sharing!!
Do you take Hormone replacements?
Thanks Joan!!👍👍👍 Its an interesting video, i follow you, you are my motivation i'm 62. My question Is, Is necessari ti take WHEY complements ti build muscle on common person s ( i mean not athetles) Gracias👍👍👍
Nobody has to take whey- even athletes. I think it helps people hit protein macros easier.
@@joanmacdonald6346 thanks for answer me!!!😊
Hi Joan, I have a knee replacement and the other knee is not strong....so many of your exercises challenge the knees...do you have workarounds?
Hi Joan,I was wondering have you ever used creatine, you have great definition in your muscles.😃
I really need guidance on the diet. How much to eat in a serving, etc
Blessings Joan! 💫💥
Blessings to you as well.
Hi Joan, Happy New Year🎉 I would like to know more about coming to Tulum to get started on a lifestyle routine like yours. I’m wondering about the cost and the lodging. Perhaps you might elaborate further about this for me. Thank You 🙏🏻
I can't tell you a lot because I've been staying with my daughter and son-in-law(they live here year round).I know groceries are cheaper and fuel for vehicles and clothing. Sorry I'm not much help.
@@joanmacdonald6346 okay thank you.
Check out Tangerine Travels on TH-cam. They live and travel all over Mexico and break down the costs of things there👍
You mentioned husband, where is he now? Do you live alone or with husband? If you have a man , does he exercise with you? Thank you! I just love you! Inspirational women! I mostly just walk run treadmill and outside when nice but I would like to strength train too! I have a disease that makes my muscles weak called Dermatomyositis. I want to beat this disease and not let it take away my ability to move and it can!
For 20 years and up protect your joints! 👍
Hey Joan, how long have you been doin this whole thing. You are amazing.
Almost 5 years now!
I can’t quite make out the brand on the whey protein you use? I am 72, and have gone to Curves for 12 years, but think it’s time to step it up. Can you give some tips on finding a good gym to train in for weight training?
Do you consider yourself a positive person by nature or is it because of the exercising?
How does your husband feel about what you’re doing? Does he work out with you at all?
Why would anyone care what a man thinks??? Wow.
@@fingerprint5511 It's called sharing your life with someone! Geez
@@fingerprint5511 obviously you DONT Have a man .wow yourself.
I wonder about this too. I’ve been following her for a while.
@@lindavanallen1307 when reproductive hormones stop controlling your life, then speak because that kind of response is shame- driven, not truth and is learned by fearful people to control other people with fear.
No one has another human or did you not know slavery was abolished in the civilized world?
Quite the control freak aren't we. Good luck with that - you will need it.
Joan I went and bought 2 5 pounds weights so iam asking what kind of exercise can I do at home?
You should write a book detailing what you eat. I would like to read it.
