What's your favorite plants in PvZ 2??
The Peashooter
Peashooter ofc
PEASHOOTER!!!!!
Pea shooter
Primal pea shooter
I hope at some point they re release plants vs zombies 2 on consoles when they are done adding new content since this game has so much to offer
Knowing EA, they ain’t letting PVZ2 die on them. They’ll keep adding new things forever
Highly doubt it cus the game is still being updated and is constantly adding new plants
Microtranslactions make this game so bad I don t want it tbh
Right, but considering that EA is at the hands of the franchise, I don't think that's going to happen but I wish what you said is true.
Maybe it could be something like Battle Cats because I believe that the console games are different from the mobile version
This game was originally going to take place on a farm, that's why we see so many farming elements in this game's beta. It was going to be the whole game theme, but then they decided to make about going on a road trip around the world before finally settling on traveling time. We can still see a bit of that road trip idea with Penny being an RV and the idea of simply traveling. Places like Big Wave Beach and the Lost City can easily be places like Hawaii and South America respectively.
Lost City fits Central/South America better, though...
Lost City is in Central America, not Africa. The temple that the world takes place in front of is very clearly inspired by the Mayans, who lived in Central America.
They probs cancelled the road trip idea due to pvz adventured
Speaking of Lost City, Tetra didn't talk about that world
@@fadedstudiosx5800 Well, they made a whole video about it.
The flower plant at 17:10 seems more like a concept for the Ampliflower, a scrapped plant originally unlocked in Far Future that would've increased the attack speed/damage of plants around it.
helo puss have you heard of the hit pvz2 mod alternate univerz
Hi Poss
Poss!
Hello poss
Bye, Poss!
17:54
Definitely for Hot Potato.
The colour of the skin along with the insides make it look more akin to a baked potato.
On top of that, the FIRST batch of Beet concept art was supposed to be a returning plant from Adventures (along with Bamboo Shoot), whereas the second batch is specifically for Phat Beet. (Hence the fatter face!)
The hot potato concept looks like a kernel more
3:23 it’s cool how the design of the time portal was pretty much reused for other time portals in future games. Like the town hall portal or the bfn multiplayer portal
Just a reminder the portal is a referense to the stargate
6:25
Personally, the final designs works better in-game, as the armor's colors remain consistent throughout the game(eg: roadcones are orange, buckets are gray), which helps players to identify the type of zombie immediately no matter which world they're playing in, and even in a huge crowd of zombies.
This is actually the most likely reason they went with simpler designs over objectively cooler looking ones. Like. PopCap playtests the heck out of their games, they definitely had a good reason for downgrading a design like that, esp considering at that point in PvZ2's development, I don't think they had been bought by EA _just yet_ so there was certainly more effort in all aspects at that time, including testing
EA is just the publishers. They gave Popcap all the control. Stop with the goddamn EA BAD POPCAP GOOD hivemind, I have seen tireless amounts of PVZ2 downfall videos and I had enough when I said it's enough, it's enough
likewise i understand the simplification of certain designs too. a lot of the concept designs are cooler and more visually interesting, but in a game thats already got so much stuff happening on screen, its best to keep things simple so its easier to read when its busy. i think everyone wouldve loved to see more visually complex zombies and things, but it would introduce too much noise
who fucking cares? @@clementchuah6706
Except the Pirate Seas buckets... That's kind of strange XD
Speaking of PVZ 2, I would honestly LOVE to see Tetrabit cover the sheer amount of exclusive content in the Chinese versions of PVZ2. The amount of stuff there is insane.
Yeah I just hate china edition as I am jealous of how much they have I just hope when they eventually need to renew to contract it will allow the international version to get all the china content.
@@RipplyAnemone67The current devs for PvZ 2 are SO BAD there's absolutely no hope for anything
@@RipplyAnemone67It's so unpolished, the Chinese version sucks
@@EpikBirbthat’s fr, I jumped through so many hoops to get the Chinese version, and then it was just not good
Flag zombie has plenty of videos going over it if your interested
Alot of these ideas are really good and creative in general. Brings me back to when pvz2 was regularly getting new worlds which is a nice callback.
Fun fact: the pompador imp wasn't completely scrapped, as it was seen in the Big Wave Beach release trailer dancing

4:59 concept art or not. i always love seein the zombies with different body types, faces, or just being more expressive in general.
they are so goofy! its a shame the silliness is never really touched on
Yeah totally :/
It sort of is in the early zombie missions in gw2
3:27 did not expect a Stargate reference lol
17:53
i would assume these to be concept designs of the hot potato plant unlocked in the frostbite caves world
17:19
The "high tech bush" looks like it would be a future variant of the spikeweed plant...and based on its appearance, the spines likely would have been retractible. And i believe the plant to the right of it is an earlier version of the sweet potato as it does somewhat resemble it in appearance and its "sexy" appearance likely being an indicator for this ability
I think this is actually original plant like a moss
20:20 bro really thought he could steal footage without us noticing 💀
Oh whoops lmao guess I didn't edit that section out
But no, I have permission to use the footage haha
@@TetraBitGaming no problem man. I can tell it's one of those gameplay videos for editing but it was funny
That's what 5am video editing does to ya 💀
Lmao
So the Concept art for the Phat Beet not only reveals early designs, if not a completely different plant just called Beet which appeared much earlier in a Facebook Game Called Plants Vs. Zombies adventures, this plant was an early version of bonk Choy, then when you mentioned the early designs for lava guava that was concept art for the hot potato, the first plant you unlock when going to frostbite Caves and last the tactical cuke is actually in the files of the final game as a sprite for a seed packet, this sprite was actually added first in the international version during the development of far future
The farm world was made before the time travel concept was decided on for pvz 2. The original plan was for the game to be in a farm with the different worlds being about the season. This got scrapped due to them running out of ideas that worked with the farm concept. This would later turn into the player traveling to a different areas like in the football and France world concepts, before deciding to go with time travel when they were conceptualizing the Egypt world. This was all confirm by one of the lead artists for pvz 2 in a video call “the art of reanimating pvz” when talking about the art process for pvz 2
16:12 interestingly, while the design was changed for Phat Beet in PVZ2, the spin-off PVZ Heroes has two cards called Super-Phat Beets and Tough Beets that look a lot closer to that original concept
TH-camrs not releasing time limited merch challenge (impossible)
I know right
Glad to see another Lost Bits video! Always intriguing to see what we were never supposed to as casual players
7:29 one must imagine the zombies happy
4:37 this one was used in an event actually! atleast, the lawn design was. it took place infront of the modern-day house, but kept the general field design the same. hopefully that makes sense
((19:22))
It is supposed to be a concept-art of "Explode-O-Nut", this plant is of course a "Seed packet prenium" plant...
It is also a plant that appears in the "first PvZ", but it can be seen only in the mini-game of "Wall-nut Bowling". (One of the "Day" levels)
I've seen lots of other TH-camrs play Plants vs. Zombies before to
“be there or be square”
Me: 20:12
Papa Tetra sure is feeding us well with interesting lost bits from a game that deserved better.
Interestingly, Coconut Bowler (the palm tree) and Bamboom actually had files in some versions before the Big Wave Beach released.
Coconut Bowler became Bowling Bulb and Bamboom became Banana Launcher.
A little correction: The plant at 18:58 is actually an early version of the Phat Beet.
16:11 This 1-st art of beat would actually be reused in PvZ heroes.
17:21 Kinda looks like a fig.
17:57 This one remids me of a hot potato.
Man I wish EA was actually smart and put some of the things in the Chinese version into all versions, like why not, it could really only make the game better. The Chinese version has a LEVEL CREATOR for crying out loud. So many people would love that, but they gotta restrict it to the Chinese version because EA.
*PopCap
And also they couldn't, Popcap Shanghai is allowed to use anything from Popcap international, but not vice-versa
It's a legal thing.
That's wild
I would really enjoy a PVZ GW2 episode, the amount of secrets that game has is astounding.
Ah man the time portal in the desert concept is a Stargate!
0:41 bro gonna get sued from every company in the world
You gotta do a lost bits on the Garden warfare games of pvz. There are alot of interesting concepts and unused stuff that are worth talking about 👍
I'd definitely like to eventually!
@@TetraBitGaming nice!
@@TetraBitGamingPlease do, there’s barely any videos about the cut stuff in the Garden Warfare games and it’s a real struggle to search for facts for me!
11:18 You're a Imp Harry
8:04 that could be a wrapper zombie like a pun on rapper and a mummy because mummies are wrapped in bandages
or it could be a egypt disco zombie
I hope they do like a definitive version for consoles soon. I and a lot of my friends just still feel so burned by the absurd monetization when the game first launched. Even though the game is as fun as ever like the first, EA just took it way too far.
*Popcap*
i hate how there are still people who blame EA for this stuff when the literal popcap devs said themselves that they were planning to add the micros

Yes! I've been waiting for you to make a video on this game and I already know that it's great. I can't wait for another episode of binding of Isaac lost bits.
That time portal looks more like something out of star gate
11:22 theif zombie is in the Chinese version btw
The Chinese version added a TON of stuff that isn’t in the other versions, such as new plants and even new worlds
Not really, Bandit is a completely different zombie that turns invisible.
I'm surprised No one has mentioned the zombie in the thumbnail yet, given recent memes.
Well, a square can't roll down a hill
Ro blocks
more unique or more interesting is not always better
practically every time you bring that up my first and last thought is "what they went with is better"
18:10 BOWLING BULB, BOWLING BULB! IT'S REWORKED INTO BOWLING BULB! Seriously BWB may be hard but not forgettably hard!
12:49 I love this zombie concept. It's just a pushing zombie but the whole pushing around a square as a wheel is fun
Took me till now to realize it’s about time was a pun on how long it took to make the sequel
I honestly like these beta designs more than the final ones
18:50 Tetra: says beam attack, Failboat subscribers: *WE ARE HERE NOW*
Beam attack
BEAM ATTACK
BEAM ATTACK
3:05 This has to do with the plot of the game, which revolves around time travel: Zomboss is ALSO time travelling. He's following you. His temporal onslaughts are mixes of zombies he brought from our time that adapted, as well as zombifying (canonical term) people that exist in the actual time. The Explorer Zombies came from our time (approximately), but the LEVELS take place 4500 years ago. Zomboss' final -form- big attack is literally called "Project Paradox," where he brings zombies from all times into Modern Day.
16:13 these concepts aren't the same as the final plant shown, Phat Beet is a functional replacement of Gloom-shroom, while this concept was "Beet," a plant exclusive to Plants vs. Zombies Adventures (the facebook game that existed for about a year), which functions the same as Bonk Choy. I see why the confusion exists but this would be like saying that Concept Spear Mint is an "early version of Spear-mint" - they're not the same concept, they're different concepts based on the same IRL plants. (to make the point easier to understand: The bowling Palm Tree probably became Bowling Bulb, the same concept based on a different IRL plant)
10:54 This ended up in-game.
Well, not specifically Zomboos being an alien, but In Pirate Seas he wears an Eyepatch, Dark Ages a Roman Helmet, Lost city he has a completely different outfit based on old Aviation equipment, and we all know about Neon Mixtape Tour.
8:22 at the leftthere is a conspet design for bucket head so I can guess the diving helmet is probably similar to like ice head, amber heads, and knight zombies
haven’t kept up with this channel in a while, so seeing this vid pop up on my recommended was a pleasant surprise. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for dropping by!
When it came to the farm level concept. The scarecrow would have worked similarly to the surfer zombie, another cut features was animals, since animals have brains, zombies would have tried to steal them.
The farm map image is found in a sign in pvz garden warfare 2 in the background battleground map near the soccer area
Great video! Like how you used popular remixes of actual themes from a PvZ game that are fanmade in the background! Liked the touch. You never disappoint me in these videos!
You should cover all the shooter game's unused content, some of it gets posted to the gw2 frostbite modding server but there's SO much that honestly each one needs their own video
man this was one hell of a vid, good job man
I feel like these unused content should be in the game it will be so cool to add those unused content in like a new pvz game to get a nice kickstarter ya know?
Make a mod then
12:54 bro is posusing the Roblox logo😂
9:47 the way you described this made it sound very similar to how the ZCorp chair racer zombie works, it's possible that they reused the same concept.
20:25 that is not a peashooter bro
Wdym
@@TheWorldsLargestOvenIt's a repeater
23:15 Don't forget: It's also used as an objective for PVZ: Garden Warfare and a PVZ Heroes card
Tactical cuke incoming
The concept ideas for the far future boss are so much better!
4:46 *certified bird up*
7:23 guessing its for morden level finale
more plants vs zombies? Yes pls! Thanks for another pvz video tetra!❤
11:49 im pretty sure thoughs are candles not dynamite, 2 reasons why I think that
1. its why his eyes are glowing
2. its green not red sticks
I love PVZ and i love this series of finding unused and altered things in this, ngl PVZ might be the one that i like(and FNAF)
I like the idea that may be the one holding the square wheel as it took more damage would move faster as the wheel slowly became more round
18:24 you can use this plant in the garden warfare games. in fact lots of these ideas are in the garden warfare games/battle for neighborville. The flying onion is an ability that the cactus holds in the games as well.
13:24 reverse flashbang
finally, I've been wating for this!!
7:49 the zombie that sneaking around the skull looks like a cartoon character :D
Hopefully, at some point, we will finally have a vine plant for the Winter Mints.
I was waiting this so long
3:06 although it is non-canon, in PvZ 2 Reflourished, there is an small joke that says that the Lost Explorer zombie (lost city variant of the explorer zombie) actually tampered with an ancient artifact that teleported him in ancient egypt lol
Your pvz videos have became my new comfort videos I now watch them every night before bed they help me destress and help me sleep
Glad they're able to help
Ok, this video just makes me really sad. I feel like we were robbed from having all these cooler outcomes for the game!
Especially the extra zombie expressiveness, seen in the concepts!
17:35 that's just Sundew Tangler.
16:12 The design for the beet on the left was later re-used for the card game, Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes. All that Heroes did was add a fedora and gold chain, turning it into a gangster of sorts.
So glad you did pvz 2
As an old pvz fan i like this video is interesting to seeing an early version of the zombie and (mostly) plants
(Is sad how the game’s recent updates)
Id love to see you cover the garden warfare games, they have so much intresting unused content, its awesome
Unbelievable! He just did an unused content of PvZ 2, I really appreciate that
I think that the zombie trio was the inspiration of the chair zombie from Z-Corp
16:11 Fun fact: The design on the left was used to make a plant in PVZ Heroes!
9:43 this would've been pretty damn nuts ngl
if they hit a plant just 4 tiles away from your house the last imp practically lands directly in your house
1. One of the first sketches of the Phat Beet was actually reused in Pvz Heroes!
2.I think the palm tree was definitely supposed to be bowling bulb
NOW THIS IS AMAZING!
I remember in early releases for Plants vs. Zombies 2, there was a power pinch, it's now replaced with power snow. Also Tactical Cuke does appear in later games like Garden Warfare 2.
And garden warfare 1
Another thing you didn't show:
In 1.5 version, there's the files for Far Future (plants, early zombies, levels and the map for the Star Map System), Dark Ages (the sketch of the lawn, beta plants, beta zombies, beta tombstones) and Time Twister (beta map icon, beta levels). A guy called lanzacrepers managed to port all that content into 1.4 and make it functional (this guy literally has the resources to break hardcode - reverse engineer the base code of the game and add custom logic to it)
Some unused plants in pvz 2. I found these plants on the 1 coin shop mod.
1. Sunpod
2. Sunsprout that was in this video
3. Mini peashooter.
I waited for this for so long
14:16 This reminds me of the Surfer Zombie from Big Wave Beach, which has a soundfont that gives Sonic Colors Ultimate's version Tropical Resort act 1 a run for it's money!
Oh this is so cool. Just by watching I can tell what the story was. You get chased out the house and go to other locations around town but then get chased through those same locations but at other places in time. That would be so cool. Not to mention it would make more sense lol
16:52 why does that second snapdragon design look like its in big nate style
At 16:12 The scrapped version on the far left was reused as 2 different plants in pvz heros
The design was reused at least
I think this is the first time where I’ve preferred a game’s concept art over final in almost every example - especially with zombies. The more unique concepts cut back just for simplicity is very disappointing, I can see so much more potential here.
I need a part 2 as soon as possible
i assume handling hundreds of plants would be made easier with some system similar to the row minigame from pvz1, except maybe in multiple different shapes, like a column of sunflowers and a 3x3 area of peashooters. would also explain why all the small plants here are so cheap, outside of placeholder stuff.
6:14 of what stuff? grape soda?
7:20 total drama plants vs. zombies
6:14 is alcohol
what? but that's bad stuff, obviously
plus there's no such indication@@Its_bloon.yt2011
17:11 I think that is an early design for the thyme warp
13:34 this imp actually appears in a few of the trailers for PvZ2
17:53 these are concepts for hot potato
