Heeey guys, the Minecraft LOST BITS is finally here! About time. Minecraft is another one of the most requested videos on my channel ever, and although I'm not a HUGE Minecraft fan, I hope I do it justice and I really hope you enjoy it! In this video, I only cover the Minecraft Java Edition, but let me know if you'd want to see the other versions covered as well!

Just a few things that keep coming up:
1) The Cave Game Tech Test I mention ISN'T PLAYABLE. This is NOT the same version as the in browser Minecraft Classic OR the Cave Game version you can still play in the launcher
2) Yes, I know my voice cuts out at 7:57 or whatever, it's a small editing error
3) This is made for a general audience, NOT for Minecraft super fans, I won't cover every detail in depth. These videos need to be a reasonable length while still covering as much as I can.
4) Shoutout to all the absolute Chads that don't feel like they need to comment if someone pronounces a word differently than they think it's pronounced

You didn't mention how at 1:35 in the "Calm4" song, you can hear Notch say "Mojang Specifications". Also you didn't mention that for some time, when you were playing Minecraft, that song had a chance of playing before they removed it from the game's files. Also I really like the Calm 4 song.

A lot of online servers actually use these unused sounds for their mini games! Very interesting!
Do you play in 1.8 ? Becausd the sounds used commonly by servers just changed in the 1.9 sound update

I actually know about a debug feature so extremely niche nobody ever knew or used it: it is possible to give blocks a shiny outline comparable to the glow effect, but on literal blocks, not entities!

The "successful hit" sound actually is used in the game. It's something you'll only hear in multiplayer as it notes hitting a player with an arrow.
Thats coded in servers by the owners, not in every multiplayer server

There’s a bedrock texture pack that has the old sounds and old textures along with old textures on new blocks AND it has ROSES it’s called classic vanilla

@@justinr8102 The old zombie villagers were the only type, until an update (I think village and pillage) added different types of zombie villagers (to correspond with different types of regular villagers).
Rubies were added, but to Minecraft Earth as a form of in-game currency. They use a different texture though.

The ruby texture is the texture that was going to be used instead of emeralds. They did not want people to mix up

I’m pretty sure “calm4” had an extremely small chance to play during normal gameplay in the earlier versions of the game.

calm4.ogg could rarely play if you have an old version of the launcher but the new launchers have removed this song.
Sylvia M I did too, there was a moment where the music awkwardly jumped but it didn’t sound like a placeholder, it actually sounded pretty good just needed a tiny bit of editing.

Most of this in the video I know prior to watching, I have some insight on other features:
- I feel like the RPG inventory with 12 armor slots might be from a placeholder from his dungeon crawler: *"Prelude of the Chambered..."*
- I remember that the Debug/F3 would allow you see mobs (with random numbers) that way you could locate caves... (I installed a mod that brought that feature back...)

Fun fact: Minecraft used to be called “Minecraft: Order of the Stone”, that’s actually referenced in Minecraft: Story Mode. In Minecraft: Story Mode, there was a legend about five people that were called the Order of the Stone that had a lot of accomplishments in their time, and even “defeated” the Ender Dragon.

The killer bunny still is in the game as of 1.16.4. me and the bois found 2 on our completely vanilla smp, just has a 1/2500 change of spawning iirc. I think the wiki also tells u that
The rabbit is still in the game but it cannot spawn without console commands. They were removed from normal spawning in 1.8.
Also I don't think the glow effect on blocks similar to a glow effect is a thing. Unless you can provide the hotkeys that apparently make it happen. I've never seen it before, and it's not on the wiki.

This brings back so many memories. I remember playing with my brother on his xbox 360 and always going to villages to get the bookshelves for the enchanting table boost. I also remember the cow but not the cow hurt? Never heard the lava sound or the door sounds but I remember the water splash. The fall sounds are pretty weird and I have never heard them before but I wish we still had everything we once had in the newer versions of the game.

Some of these were left in the game for content creators. For example, the “unused” effects can be used by map creators and the debug mode can be used by texture pack creators to test texture packs.

15:11 The "Successful Hit" sound can actually be heard in game as of 1.18! Stand far enough away from someone so that you can't hear them take damage, then shoot them with an arrow. You'll hear this sound effect to let you know you've hit them.
9:32 Dirt slabs weren't meant to completely replace dirt blocks. they were used to walk up terrain easier in grass based biomes and removed because it looked bad.
