My theory for why the dog walker zombie was cut is because most players would feel bad for killing the dog.
Lawn mowers would do
"The dolphin is also zombie"
I would just make it to where the zombie dies but then the dog gets scared and runs back off the screen into the road
@@Khanza132 I mean the dolphin doesn't get killed, the zombie just uses it to jump over a plant and then it just vanishes.
Now technically I don't exactly believe that, there's the dolphin zombie, and as we know it can get killed by the pool cleaners if it gets through
About the big sleeping Sun-Shroom, this is actually used if you grow the Sun-Shroom and transport it from the night Zen Garden to the day Zen Garden.

I kinda love how they had all these clever and punny names for the game but the one they ended up with was the straightforward PVZ.
Plot in Hell made me wonder what they were thinking the game's age rating was going to be.

The zomboni description was so hilarious. The creators were probably mad that there was so much copyright trouble that they decided to make a joke about it in-game. This gives off Alex Hirsch "Not S+P Approved" vibes.
A thing to note about the Painter Zombie is that eventually _a_ Painter Zombie became a real thing in a release-build PvZ game; specifically in Garden Warfare 1 as a sharpshooter variant of the Engineer class having better range, an enhanced ADS zoom and reduced damage dropoff compared to other Engineer variants at the expense of a slower rate of fire, less ammo per clip and a longer reload time.

Seeing the sleeping big mushroom made think: what if there was a level where it starts at night and then transitions to daytime?
Sounds like an interesting mechanic. Too little games use the sped up day cycle as a part of gameplay. Reminds me of Colin Mcrae Rally 2.0.
A solid potential idea, maybe a pvz2 gimmick world after modern day?
Call it something like Time Twister, and reuse that old name and content that was scrapped.
No sun at night, introduce coffee bean, maybe re-add scaredy shroom, doom shroom perhaps,

Thinking about plant upgrade options would help with some of the assumptions in the first one, like the Iceberg Lettuce likely got reworked into the Ice Watermelon and the Spikeweed degrading was likely worked into its upgrade path instead, where it degrades every time a Zomboni™ drives over it

I died on the inside in 4:54 when he didn't comment on the effect being transferred over to the Winter Melon, especially due to the fact that it would make it more unique than another single-target chilling plant like the Snow Pea.

frostbite caves is kinda boring so that might be why it was scrapped

I have played the game for so long. I am impressed that there were so many unused assets to this game.
Well, i can't disagree. With so much detail, it would make sense for there to be unused assets.

I'm guessing in later development they took the card deck mechanic and turned it into the conveyor belt mechanic for final levels of each section of the game
Seeing all of the zombie variants we never got is kinda saddening. I love PVZ, but the variety we could’ve gotten really was robbed from us.
Especially since it doesn’t really make sense why all the zombies wear the same brown overcoat and jeans, instead of traditional burial garb.
I mean it could just be a case of an zombie infection rather than pure dead rising.
You say that, but have you ever heard of the ds version exclusive giga football zombie? Had black armor with a scull on it, took 4 instant kill plants to fully kill it, couldn't have its helmet removed, and still ran as fast as a football zombie. It would appear on survival endless modes, but the code to actually spawn it is incomplete.
They raided a clothing store as soon as they rose.
As a person who doesn't develop games, I get the thought process behind all of the unused content.

That dog leash zombie would be op ngl since you mentioned it's very low that can't be hit by other projectiles you can counter only with spikeweed and puff shroom (maybe)

The old 'choose your seeds' old music was actually kept in the mobile versions, since if you listen hard enough the tune does cut and doesn't loop perfectly

Im not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but aren’t the early build “zombies” just the aliens from Insaniquarium so possibly just placeholders while the zombie graphics were being decided on I dunno

If you are planning to play PvZ2 to make a lost bits video i will recommend start playing with pre 1.7 versions, then after that jump to 5.0.1 and then after that you should try the last and newer version, why? The first version i recommended is a not so early launch of the game which changed a lot but was the same until 5.0.1, after such version the game got a leveling update and a lot other things started to change and also even more new zombies not related to any world in-game

How to beat bobsled bonanza:
Plants to use: Chomper and spike weed to stop both bobsleds and zombonis (yes, chomper can gobble down both zombonis, the bobsled and the riders as long as they're inside of the bobsled), sun flower, fume shroom, coffee bean, gloom shroom, garlic, twin sunflower, (if you want to) and anything else you want
(Im guessing you have all 10 seed slots)
Placement: Place one column of sunflowers top to bottom.
Then, use chompers to stop bobsleds and spike weeds to stop zombonis to build up enough sun.
Once you've built up enough sun (about 300 sun or 400 sun if you want a little more backup sun), place down the fumeshroom, coffee bean on top of it garlic, gloom shroom, then place the gloomshroom in column 2 and the garlic in column 3 near the pool so that the gloom shroom can defend the lane above it and below it AND REMEMBER put the garlic infront of the gloomshroom or else it will get eaten now i advise you that place tallnut and pumpkin on column 2 to slow down ducktube zombies.
Now, to the next part, the zombies:
Again, zombonis and the bobsled and its riders can be eaten by the chomper, but only use it one the bobsled and the riders once they're inside the bobsled
HOWEVER, if you get bad rng and get another bobsled in that lane, then and you dont have your gloomshroom and garilcs set up then you must reset the level as you may or may not have any sun to place another chomper and if theres a zomboni then place a spike weed.
LATE👏GAME. place spike weeds below your gloomshroom and garlic setup for xtra dmg ANND thats it yep just spam chomper, spikeweed in late game and yeah thats it.
Recommendations
Cat tail, imitater, doom shroom, jalapeño, and cherry bomb the other plants (assuming you have all ten seed slots) are up to you.
Place the sun flowers in the first column btw
The zombie head in a helmet looks like a racer or like Samus and mostly Samus, also i love how they still wanted to put a knight helmet pr you could say Marauder but anyway its cool how they tried
I belive the reason the 5-10 background is called "background6boss.png" is because every other stage uses 5 insteed of 6, this might be because it's just not the same as the other backgrounds.
I think there is a reference to this game in L4D2. there is text on a wall that says, "anyone want a spare M60? - Crazy Dave".

The "air raid" one returns in the DS version except you have to drag around a flying gatling pea to try and defeat zomboss(Who I guess is also flying?) And is the last minigame

you should cover the lost transformations themes in pizza tower i. An early demo where you can get soft locked easylie because the door where out of bound there where two transformation and two theme the bomb having a fast chiptune panic track and the knight having a migthy track
