Really makes sense, after doing kegels after kegels for 2 years, I still developed prolapse symptoms 8weeks ago. I also have urgency problems! I have been trying to strengthen and strengthen thinking that was the problem, even my physio gave me kegels to do, but no mention of relaxing or releasing the muscles! I will try this, there are so many videos on pelvic floor release but I have never tried them!

This is great Anna, I am also a physiotherapist who uses these principles in my treatment practice. I will be sharing this with fellow teachers and patients. Thank you

Amazing description and use of props. You can really get a sense of what is happening structurally. Thank you so much for making this video. Keep them coming xx

Anna, thank you very much for this video and your explanation! It was recommended by Denise from Flower Empowered. Could you please share more about release of the facia? How can we do it through exercise. My pt believes in facia release, she applies a very gentle pressure to various points and I do feel better for several hours after that. But I feel like once a week is not enough. If there is any way to do it through yoga or pilates, I would gladly pay just to be able to exercise.
    Thanks!

      Hello
My colleague Claire Sparrow has designed a movement course for releasing the pelvis. It is called Pre-Pilates for whole body pelvic health, here is the link to her website : claire-sparrow-pilates.teachable.com/

Thank you so much for this video. Sarah Forster (The Indie Midwife) shared this with me and I'm now seeing a hands on practitioner who is doing this kind of work with me. I'm interested in what proportion of water to cornflour you used? I fancy making the prop to give myself a feel for how much pressure to use when I start trying to release fascia myself.
