Just watched this. It gives me a lot of hope and builds upon some information I already learned recently. The only thing I wish someone would come up with is some kind of device that does this massage for you!! I really struggle with the idea of doing this mapping and massage on myself as I feel a bit phobic of this area now 😫 it'd be great if this service was offered somewhere too!

Have I understod you right ,that this type of help is of no use if you already have had a prolapse operation ? That there is nothing to be Done ? Or is it only that one schouldn’t do this on ones own ?
I live in Sweden ,and I don’t know of anybody that does this kind of work .

Best to research or try to get a hold of the team who was involved with surgery - if not your, others in the field. There probably the only ones who could at least give you details of why not & possibly other alternatives.

  • @SevySp

Fascinating. But I'm curious please, does this apply when there was no obvious scar (no episiotomy and no tearing)? And so, where would the tension come from, in a vaginal childbirth with an apparently intact perineum, yet where prolapse appeared early postpartum? Thank you!

  • @suzannemartin4264

Thank you Anna and I am on your side; however, I've had clients with dural esctasisia (dura falling out the the cranium) and also lens falling out of position in the eye, so abnormal connective tissue is an issue. But I agree with your general hypotheses and look forward to more work from you!

She was saying the surgery changes the structure of pelvic floor. So you just can't do it this way. My guess is you'd have to learn HOW it was changed. An expert in the field of surgery & pelvic floor would be able to answer questions.

This makes senses. This happened to me after my second pregnancy, I tore and was stitched. My first was an emergency C Section. Afterwards my husband noticed something was different. I attributed it to the way I was stitched maybe or just having had given birth vaginally etc. I was too nervous to look myself, I was afraid I’d see something “weird” We brought it up to the gyn at the time. She just brushed it off as it’s what just normally happens. Kind of telling my husband to get over it, thinking he was more concerned about us having sex when in reality he was concerned about my health and well being. Two babies later, my husband brought it up again, I decided to look for myself and it looked scary to me. After researching, I found it was a prolapse. I’m glad I found this because it helps me understand what’s going on better. I just don’t understand why any other ob gyn wouldn’t say anything about it, since I went on to have two more babies and have been checked there multiple times 😕🤔

To say tht prolapse is caused by tension is not correct. There are many different causes behind prolapse. Often there is more than one. And one of them is tension. 👈 Eg. Rectocele mostly is caused by a tearing of the tissue, which then creates the "pocket".
